The Israel-Iran Conflict: Historical Background and Modern

  • The conflict between Iran and Israel has been a major source of instability and security threats in the Middle East. This study analyzes the historical background and modern aspects of the Israel-Iran conflict, examining its root causes, nuclear issues, proxy wars, cyber warfare, economic sanctions, and the role of the United States. The research employs qualitative methods, including literature review and case analysis, using various sources such as academic papers, government reports, and media articles. The findings suggest that the conflict is deeply rooted in historical, religious, and political factors, and has escalated since the 1979 Iranian Revolution. The study highlights the need for dialogue, negotiation, and international mediation to resolve the conflict and maintain regional stability. The Israel-Iran conflict also provides valuable lessons for addressing the North Korean nuclear issue, emphasizing the importance of dialogue, international cooperation, and confidence-building measures.

한국과 미국에서 발행된 집단수준 중심의 조직행동론 교과서에 대한 사례연구 (A case study on group level based-organizational behavior textbooks published in Korea and USA)

  • I have done a case study on group level based-organizational behavior textbooks published in Korea and USA. The objects are 'organizational behavior' by Su Yong Jung and 'organizational behavior' by Im Chang Hee in Korea, and 'organizational behavior' by Schermerhorn, Osborn, Uhl-Bien, & Hunt and 'organizational behavior' by Robbins, & Judge. The goal of this study is to identify the differences of the perspectives on the group level based-organizational behavior between Korean and American textbooks. This research finding shows that it is valid to classify organizational behavior into such categories as group & team, communication, decision making, leadership, power, and conflict & negotiation in the Korean textbooks for the better future study.

수자원과 관련된 분쟁 및 갈등의 조정을 위한 거버넌스 (Governance for the Negotiation and Management of Water Resources related Conflicts)

  • 본 연구에서는 국내 수자원과 관련된 분쟁 및 갈등을 해결하기 위한 방안으로 적응형 거버넌스 시스템의 구조 및 역할을 제시하였고 분쟁의 원활한 합의 조정방안 및 문제점을 제시하기 위한 다양한 형태의 시민참여모델에 대하여 특징 및 특성을 분석하였다. 또한, 분쟁해결을 위한 공학적 도구로서 공영시각모형, 게임이론, 제도설계이론 등의 공학적 모형을 바탕으로 하는 과학적 접근 방안을 제시하여 물 분쟁의 해결 및 조정을 위한 대안을 모색할 수 있는 토대를 마련하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 다양한 형태의 물분쟁 해결을 위한 대안은 물 관련 당사자들이 어떤 합의점을 찾을 때 추측과 가정에 의한 결정보다는 참여와 과학적 해결방법에 의해서 보다 합리적인 대안과 합의점을 도출할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

CTS(Conflict Tactics Scales) 2의 자녀용으로의 수정 및 한국 대학생에 대한 타당성 검증 (The validation of property of the modification of CTS2(the revised Conflict Tactics Scales) for use of children on the university students of Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the utility of the modified form of CTS2(the revised Conflict Tactic Scales) for use of children on university students fo Korea. To attain this purpose, we modified Straus's CTS2(the revised Conflict Tactic Scale) for use of children. It consist of negotiation subscale, physical assault subscale, psychological aggression subscale and injury subscale without sexual coercion subscale. The subjects consisted of 288 students from 19 to 24 of age. As results of analysis(correlation, factor analysis, Cronbach' α), reliability of subscales of CTS2 range from .83 to .98 and total reliability of CTS2 is .93 And there are evidences of construct validity(the convergent validity and discriminant validity) fo CTS2. we examine the prevalence of wife abuse behavior in our subjects' parents. There are the high prevalence of psychological aggression(75.7%) and physical assault(43.4%)

  • 왜 국가들은 협력과 갈등을 반복할까? 본 연구의 목적은 강대국인 EU(서유럽/동유럽)와 약소국인 북한 간 비대칭적 갈등과 협력이 "언제" 그리고 "어떻게", 다시 말해서 어떤 요인들에 의해 결정되었는지 그 과정을 분석한 후, 파워의 비대칭적인 강대국과 약소국 간 협력과 갈등 과정의 결정요인을 분석하는 데 있다. 특히 "변화"와 "연속성"의 측면에서 EU와 북한 간 관계에 대한 총체적이고 체계적인 연구를 위해서는 약자인 북한과 강자인 EU가 "언제" 그리고 "어떻게" 갈등과 협력 과정을 겪는지 그 결정요인을 찾는 데 초점을 맞춘다.

의사소통능력과 갈등해결전략에 따른 인기아와 배척아 판별 (Discriminant Analysis of Popular and Rejected Children Based on Their Communicative Competence and Conflict-Resolving Strategies)

  • The purposes of this study were to test the differences in communicative competence and conflict-resolving strategies between both popular and rejected children, and to thereby verify the discriminance of communicative competence and conflict-resolving strategies for both types of children. 52 popular children and 41 rejected children from among a pool of 202 6th grade elementary students were selected, and the data were analyzed by means of independent sample t-test and discriminant analysis. The research findings are as follows : First, listen up (sub-factors of perceiving), self-presentation, planning, and coding revealed statistically significant differences between the popular and the rejected children. Second, only negotiation and cooperation strategies revealed any statistically significant differences between the popular and the rejected children, while other sub-factors of conflict-resolving strategies indicated broad indifference between them. Third, it was only the factor of planning among 5 factors of communicative competence and 4 factors within conflict-resolving strategies which indicated that it was the most discriminant predictor between the popular and the rejected children. These results suggest that a comprehensive program is needed to improve the communicative competence and conflict-resolving strategies of rejected children.

병원조직구성원들의 갈등원인과 해결방법 사례연구 (The Case Study on Conflict Causes and Solution Among The Members in A Hospital)

  • This study tried to examine the conflict relationships and solutions among the members of a hospital structure, a structure composed of various experts and professionals. As the situations causing conflicts are very different depending on the sizes or structural types of hospitals, the samples were collected from total 235 people of 17 medical specialists, 46 residents, 74 nurses and 74 medical technicians, 40 administrators in a university hospital for clearing conflict relationships. The result showed that a hospital had separately different the conflict causes according to all types of occupations. That is, there were various conflict relationships such as the conflict with the medical specialists, with residents, with nurses, and with administrators, and resulted in respectively different causes from those conflict relationships. In addition to, looking into the top of conflict causes, the respondents in all occupations attributed the conflict with medical specialists to "authoritative attitude" of medical specialists, and attributed the rest types of conflict relationships to "lack knowledge of the work". And then, in terms of the top of conflict solutions according to the occupational types in the hospital structure, medical specialists and administrators chose competition & cooperation, and the way for residents, nurses and medical technicians was situation-avoidance. The competition & cooperation type, negotiation type and situation-avoidance type, among solution types, were little difference regardless of occupations, but in case of work-avoidance type, there were significant differences according to residents, nurses, medical technicians, administrators, and medical specialists in the order.

협동적인 분산 환경에서 BDI 에이전트를 위한 협상 기법 (A Negotiation Mechanism for BDI Agents in Distributed Cooperative Environments)

  • 멀티에이전트 시스템에서 에이전트는 각자 달성해야 할 목표를 가지고 있다. 그러나 여러 에이전트들이 하나의 공통된 목표를 달성하기 위해 서로 경쟁을 하는 경우거나 혹은 각자의 서로 다른 목표를 달성하기 위해 제한된 자원을 사용해야 하는 경우 에이전트들은 서로 충돌할 수 있다. 충돌이 발생할 때 에이전트들은 각자의 목표를 달성하기 위해 다른 에이전트들과의 협상을 통해 목표의 충돌이 없는 일치 상황에 도달하도록 설계되어야 한다. 본 논문은 멀티에이전트 시스템에서 믿음(belief),소망(desire),그리고 의도(intention)로 설명되는 BDI 구조가 각 에이전트가 가져야 할 정신적 태도의 핵심 요소라고 가정하고, 이러한 구조를 가지는 BDI 에이전트를 논리 프로그래밍의 틀에서 표현한다. 또한 서로 다른 목표를 가진 BDI 에이전트들이 자원이 제한된 협동적인 분산 환경에서 상호간의 목표 충돌을 해결하기 위해 협상을 통해 각자의 문제를 해결하는 알고리즘을 제시한다. 마지막으로 본 논문에서 제안한 협상 알고리즘의 효과성을 검증하기 위하여 협상 메타언어로 구현한 예제 문제의 실험 결과를 기술한다.

3D Simulation of Environmental Conflict Resolution in Intelligent Environments

  • Owing to the advent of ubiquitous computing technologies, the concept of Intelligent Environments has emerged, as an alternative approach to overcome the limitation of the built environment. Intelligent Environments can be more responsive to user-and context-specific human activities by automatically and dynamically modifying their settings without explicit human intervention. However, the conventional approach to the development of Intelligent Environments has mainly focused on the technical issues without paying much attention to the dynamic interrelationship between the user and the built environment. Therefore, differing or conflicting needs of multiple simultaneous users remain unresolved. The objective of this study is to present types of environmental conflicts and their resolution through agent collaboration and negotiation. For the demonstration and validation of the conflict resolution process, a set of hypothetical test cases is simulated in a 3D test environment. The result of the case simulations shows that the proposed approach is computationally feasible and applicable to the development of Intelligent Environments, and, furthermore, it can overcome the drawback of the conventional approach.

자율형 무인운반차를 위한 충돌회피동작의 생성(I) (Collision Avoidance Method for Autonomous Vehicle)

  • This paper describes the Autonomous Vehicles (AV) which are operated for their own tasks. There are chances of conflict resolution such as sharing the same path which can lead to the risk of a collision. This research represents some ways of negotiating the conflict resolution by generating cooperative actions. Negotiation while traveling the path is accomplished by using priority and by announcing the start time of the task. When there is a risk of collision, the AV tries to dissolve the situation of conflict resolution by concurrently adjusting mutual speed and by performing the algorithm of passing. If the speed of the AV cannot be adjusted, it measures the distance between the counterpart of the AV and an obstacle along the path. Then it judges either to proceed by passing the counterpart of the AV or to turn back after observing the current circumstances. The performance of the algorithm described above was proven by a simulator.
