단일 광경로 스캔PIV기법의 개발 (Development of single optical axis scanning PIV method)

  • PIV(Particle image velocimetry) presents the flow velocity of whole flow fields in a fraction of a second. Conventional PIV method uses two optical axis configuration during the image grabbing process. That is, the illumination plane and the recording plane must be parallel. This configuration is very natural to grab the whole field without the image distortion. In the real problem, it is often to meet the situation which this configuration is hard to be fulfilled. In this study, we developed new PIV method which only uses single optical axis to grab the particle images. This new PIV method become possible by utilizing the scanning method similar to echo PIV technique. One particle image of scanning PIV consists of scanned several line images and by repeating this scanning process, two particle images were grabbed and processed to produce the velocity vectors.

In the present study, the new PIV method which uses only single optical axis to grab the particle images is developed. An optimization study was performed to find parameters which minimize the measurement errors. The effects of particle diameter, beam overlap ratio and particle number density were investigated.

  • The core activities of a bicycle manufacturer are design, engineering analysis, and manufacturing. Therefore, it is important to develop a configuration design system for bicycles in order to automate the design process and facilitate the use of design data in engineering analysis and manufacturing. In this paper, we present a method to develop a bicycle configuration design system based on the part-shape information model. The proposed method enables the construction of a CAD library using modeling functions with equations and parameters that are common to most 3D mechanical CAD systems. Furthermore, the part-shape information model ensures the independence between the configuration design system and the library, making it possible to extend the CAD library flexibly without changing the system architecture.

Development of a Handheld Sheet Resistance Meter with the Dual-configuration Four-point Probe Method

  • A handheld sheet resistance meter that can easily and quickly measure the sheet resistance of indium tin oxide films was developed. The dual-configuration four-point probe method was adopted for this instrument, which measured sheet resistance in the range from $0.26{\Omega}/sq$. to $2.6k{\Omega}/sq$. with 0.3 % ~ 0.5 % uncertainty. The screen of the instrument displayed the sheet resistance when the probe was in contact with the sample surface and the value continued to be displayed during the probe contact. Even after separating the probe from the surface, the value was still displayed on the screen and could be read easily. A feature of the instrument was the use of the dual-configuration technique to reduce edge effects markedly compared with the single-configuration technique and its ease of operation without applying correction factors for sample size and thickness.

Shear performance of AAC masonry triplets strengthened by reinforcing steel wire mesh in the bed and bed-head joint

  • Over the course of the last 4-5 years, India's northeastern region have widely used Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (AAC) blocks to construct load-bearing masonry structures. The aim of this investigation is to examine the shear characteristics of AAC masonry triplet assemblage strengthened by using two techniques, i.e., the bead joint (BJ) and the bed-head joint (BHJ) technique. Three unique variations of wire mesh were involved in the strengthening method. Furthermore, three strengthening configurations were used to strengthen each of the three wire mesh variations and the two-strengthening method, i.e. (-), L and (Z) configuration. The unreinforced and reinforced triplet masonry wallets were tested under direct shear test. From the results obtained, the 'BJ'triplet masonry wallets observed an enhanced in shear strength of about 2.23% to 23.33 % whereas the 'BHJ' triplet masonry wallets observed an enhanced in shear strength of about 22.92% to 50.69%. The "BHJ" strengthening method effectively enhance the shear strength of the triplet masonry wallets compared to the "BJ" and the "UR" wallets with an increase in capacity as the wire mesh strength increases. Furthermore, in terms of the strengthening configuration, the (Z) configuration performs better, followed by the (L) and (-) configuration demonstrating the strengthening configuration effectiveness.

이차원 물분사 추진장치 입구면 형상에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Configuration of Two-Dimensional Waterjet Inlet)

  • 물분사 추진장치(waterjet)는 현재 고속선의 추진기로 폭넓게 사용되고 있으나, 입구면(inlet) 형상에 따른 효율 문제와 제작상의 어려움으로 인해 제작사는 한정되어 있다. 입구면 형상 설계에 있어서 가장 중요한 문제는 효율에 크게 영향을 주는 공동(cavitation) 발생을 최소화하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 포텐셜 유동해석에 의해 공동발생이 최소화되는 최적 형상을 찾기 위해, 평접형(flush type) 이차원 물분사 추진장치의 입추면 형상을 수치계산 모델로 택하여 이차원 단면으로 가정하고, 유동해석을 수행하였다. 형상 파라미터의 변화를 통해 얻어진 다양한 입구면 형상에 대해 수치계산을 수행하여, 공동 발생에 미치는 입구면 형상의 영향을 조사하였고, 이를 바탕으로 최적 형상을 얻을 수 있는 형상해석 기법을 확립하였다. 또한 주어진 입구면 주위의 압력분포를 입력자료로 하여 입구면 형상이 찾아지도록 하는 형상 설계법을 확립하였다. 입구면의 형상 해석 및 형상 설계시 이용한 포텐셜 유동해석은 최근 공동문제 해석에 적용되어 좋은 결과를 주고 있는 포텐셜을 기저로 한 패널법[1,2]을 적용하였다. 형상 해석을 수행하여 얻어진 결과와 Kashiwadani[3,4]의 결과를 비교하여 근사한 결과를 얻은 것으로 본 논문의 형상 해석 기법의 우수성을 알 수 있었다. 형상 해석 결과로 얻어진 압력분포를 입력자료로 하여 입구면의 lip과 ramp에 대한 형상 설계를 수행한 결과 모두 만족스러운 결과를 얻었다.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient collision-free path planning method of two cooperating robot manipulators grasping a common object rigidly. For given two robots and an object, the procedure is described which constructs the reduced dimensional configuration space by the kinematic analysis of two cooperating robot manipulators. A path planning algorithm without explicit representation of configuration obstacles is also described. The primary steps of the algorithm is as follows. First, we compute a graph which represents the skeleton of the free configuration space. Second, a connection between an initial and a goal configuration to the graph is searched to find a collision-free path.

Simultaneous Faults Detection and Isolation Using Null Space Components of Faults for INS Sensor Redundancy

  • We consider inertial navigation system (INS) sensor redundancy and propose a method which uses singular value decomposition to detect and isolate faults when even two sensors have faults simultaneously. When redundant sensor configuration is given, such as symmetric configuration in INS, the range space and null space of configuration matrix are determined. We use null space of configuration matrix and define 21 reference fault vectors which include 6 one-fault vectors and 15 two-fault vectors. Measurements are projected into null space of measurement matrix and compared with 21 normalized reference fault vectors, which determines fault detection and isolation.

  • In this paper input Series-Output Parallel connected converter configuration for high voltage power conversion applications is proposed and a control method to solve the problems of Input Series-Output Paralles connected converter configuration is introduced. In this configuration snubber circuit or voltage balancing controller that is necessary for the series connection of switching devices is not needed. The effectiveness of this proposed configuration is verified by simulation.

An Efficient Network Slice Configuration Method in 5G Mobile Networks

  • 본 논문에서는 5G 네트워크 슬라이싱에 대해서 분석하고 5G 이동 통신망에서의 효율적인 네트워크 슬라이스 설정 방안을 제안한다. 5G 이동 통신망에서 네트워크 슬라이싱은 네트워크 슬라이스 인스턴스 정보에 기반하여 구분되고 수행된다. 단말과 네트워크 간의 네트워크 슬라이스 인스턴스 정보가 상호 일치하지 않는 경우, 단말의 PDU 세션 연결 요청 실패에 따른 불필요한 시그널링 오버헤드가 발생한다. 본 논문은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서, 두 가지 효율적인 네트워크 슬라이스 설정 기법, 단말 기반 ENSC(Efficient Network Slice Configuration) 기법과 네트워크 기반 ENSC 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 두 가지 기법들은 신속한 단말과 네트워크 간의 최신 변경 업데이트된 네트워크 슬라이스 정보를 제공 설정 수행하게 되어, 기존 방안과 비교하여 배터리 리소스 효율성을 향상시키고 불필요한 시그널링 오버헤드를 최소화할 수 있다.
