간이단열온도로서 콘크리트의 단열온도 추정을 위한 연구 (Prediction of Adiabatic Temperature in Concrete as Semiadiabatic Temperature)

  • The semi-adiabatic temperature rise and the losses of temperature of cement paste, mortar and concrete were measured by an apparatus of semi-adiabatic temperature. Heat of hydration was measured by a conduction calorimeter and adiabatic temperature rise of concrete was measured by an adiabatic calorimeter. The derived equation which can assume the adiabatic temperature was proposed by measuring the semi-adiabatic temperature of concrete. The maximum adiabatic temperature rise of concrete obtained by the derived equation of adiabatic temperature, $T_{ad}(t)=T_{sad}(t)+T_{dis}(t)$, showed $55^{\circ}C$ approximately and it had good relation with the other one obtained by the heat of hydration of cement paste and with maximum value which was measured by the adiabatic calorimeter. The adiabatic temperature rise obtained by derived equation was a different information in comparison with the value obtained by adiabatic temperature rise equations by Hell and et. al. in early age, but it showed similar tendencies with the other one according to elapsed time. Adiabatic temperature rise of lich mix concrete with highly cement content was predicted. The adiabatic temperature rise of cement paste and mortar obtained by derived equation from us showed comparatively matching results to compared with that of obtained by adiabatic temperature equation from concrete standard specification.

  • For many years, alkali activated blast furnace slag cement containing no ordinary portland cement has received much attention in the view of energy saving and its many excellent properties. We examined the structural change of slag glass which was activated by alkali metal compounds using IR spectroscopy. The properties of hydrated products and unhydrated slag grains was characterized by XRD and micro-conduction calorimeter. Ion concentration change in the liquid during the hydration of blast furnace slag was also studied to investigated the hydration mechanism.

  • The input data for the interior material of the train is one of the key points for enhancing the accuracy of fire simulation. In this study, we investigated the Fire Test Methods for the Fire Dynamic Simulator modeling for railroad passenger trains. We should get the thermal inputs such as ignition temperature, conductivity, specific heat, vaporization heat, effective heat release. With the simple conduction model for cone-calorimeter test, they could get more than HRR. Kinds of methodology were introduced for better thermal data for real material.

  • Ground granulated blast-furnace slag shows very high strength when proper alkali-activator exists. This paper deals with setting time, heat evolution rate and the strength development of alkali-activated slag cement activated by KOH, Ca(OH$)_{2}$, $Na_{2}$ $So_{4}$ , and alum(potassium aluminum sulfate). Alkali-activated slag mortar is studied by comparison with GGBF slag cement mortar. The experimental results indicate that for moisture curing at $25^{\circ}C$, the addiction of either 4% $Na_{2}$ $So_{4}$ or 4% alum increases the strength of GGBF slag cement mortar consisting of 50% GGBF slag and 50% portland cement at early age. Strength of activated GGBF slag cement mortars at 1, 3 and 7 days exceeded that of GGBF slag cement mortar. A conduction calorimeter was used to monitor early age hydration.

중금속(Zn, Cu, Cr)이 시멘트 수화반응이 미치는 영향 (Effects of Heavy Metals(Zn, Cu, Cr) on Hydration Reaction of Cement)

  • 산업부산자원으로부터 유입되는 중금속이 시멘트 수화반응에 미치는 영향에 대하여 연구하였다. 출발물질은 순수시약을 사용하여 $C_3$S와 $C_2$S 조성으로 배합하고 여기에 Zn, Cu, Cr의 중금속 산화물을 1000ppm, 2000ppm, 3000ppm 첨가하여 150$0^{\circ}C$에서 1시간 소결하여 중금속의 고용분배, 결정구조, 용출상태 그리고 수화열을 관찰하였다. 중금속중 Zn는 $C_3$S와 간극질에 집중 고용되고 Cu는 간극물질에 집중 고용되며 Cr은 $C_3$S와 $C_2$S에 집중 고용되었다. 광학현미경 및 XRD 관찰결과 중금속 함량별로 $C_3$S와 $C_2$S의 결정상에는 큰 영향이 없는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 7일간 수화시 Zn는 40~50%, Cu와 Cr은 전량 용출되었다. Conduction calorimeter 분석결과 중금속 함량별 변화에도 $C_3$S와 $C_2$S 수화열에는 차이가 없었다.

슬래그의 조성변화가 수화반응에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Composition on the Hydration of Blastfurnace Granulated Slag)

  • In order to improve hydration reactivity of blast furnace slag, it's composition was changed by adding of CaO. The slags were quenched in water at 1,400℃. Hydration reactivityof modified slags was studied by x-ray diffractometer, conduction calorimeter and so on. Experimental results were summarized as follows. 1. Glass content and hydration reactivity of slag depend significantly on quenching temperature of the slag melt. To enhance the reactivity, slag melts which belongs to Frenkel-type liquid, must be quenched above 1,300℃. 2. Vitrification of slag melts was confirmed as CaO/SiO2 ratio increased up to 1.57 with flux, 1.51 without flux, also their hydration reactivity was improved.

  • The hydration of cement paste occurs when the cement is mixed with water. During the hydration, hydration heat causes the thermal stress depending on the size of concrete and the cement content. Especially in the high-strength concrete, we must give care to the concrete due to its large cement content. In this study, conduction calorimeter and concrete insulation hydration heat meter were used to investigate the hydration heat characteristics of cement and concrete. To reduce hydration heat of high-strength concrete, several types of replacement of fly-ash and blast-furnace slag powder were used in this experiment.

  • Alinite-Calciumchloroaluminate system clinker was synthesized from solid state waste. The raw materials were municipal incineration ash, sewage sludge, limestone and clay. ecocement was prepared by the mixing of synthesized clinker and optimum amount of gypsum and its hydrolysis characteristic was investigated. X-ray diffraction, conduction calorimeter and reflecting microscope were used to analyze structural and physical properties. The main phase of clinker were alinite, calcium chloroaluminate. $C_2$S, $C_3$S. From the results of hardening time, hydration reactivity of synthesized all samples was faster than that of ordinary portland cement.

  • In this study, rheological properties of ternary system cement containing ground fly ash(F3, Blaine specific surface area $8,100\;cm^2/g$) were investigated using mini slump, coaxial cylinder viscometer and conduction calorimeter. In the results, the segregation resistance was observed at high W/B and PC area while the replacement ratio of F3 was increasing. The 2:5:3 system was shown in higher fluidity and lower hydration heat than 3:4:3 system. The segregation range of cement pastes occurred over 175 mm in average diameter by mini slump and below $10\;dynesec/cm^2$ of the plastic viscosity or below 50 cP of the yield stress by coaxial cylinder viscometer. It was observed that even if BFS and FA blended together admixture properties would remaine as they were separately. The properties of admixture would not be changed. On the above results, the decreased replacement ratio of OPC and increased replacement ratio of admixtures would be possible.
