고강도 콘크리트의 내화 특성에 관한 기존연구 고찰 및 실험적 연구 (State-of-the-Art Research and Experimental Assessment on Fire-Resistance Properties of High Strength Concrete)

  • 본 연구에서는 우선 화재에 노출된 고강도 콘크리트의 내화특성과 폭렬 메커니즘을 규명한 기존 국내외 연구자들의 연구문헌들을 심도 깊게 고찰하였다. 그 후 고온을 받은 고강도 콘크리트에 대한 국내외 연구자들의 주요 실험 변수를 분석하여 가장 최적의 변수를 설정하였으며 이를 토대로 하여 100MPa급 고강도 콘크리트의 내화 특성을 규명하기 위한 내화실험을 계획하였다. 또한 기존 연구의 실험결과를 분석한 결과 폭렬방지에 효과가 있는 것으로 알려져 있는 PP섬유와 친수성 재료로서 시멘트 입자와 부착성능이 우수하고 워커빌리티를 개선할 수 있는 NY섬유를 혼합한 신재료 HB섬유를 섬유혼입률 0.05%로 정해 배합설계에 반영하였다. 이러한 배합설계로 타설한 총 48개의 공시체를 28일 양생기간 후 온도변화 ($100^{\circ}C{\sim}700^{\circ}C$)에 따른 고강도 콘크리트의 역학적 특성을 분석하기 위해 화재를 받은 후 냉간상태에서의 내화실험을 수행하였으며 이를 통해 고강도 콘크리트의 내화 특성을 분석하였다.

콘크리트의 역학적 성능 및 공극구조가 스케일링 저항성에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Mechanical Properties and Pore Structure on the Scaling Resistance of Concretes)

  • 스케일링은 겨울철 제설제 살포 및 동결융해의 복합작용으로 인하여 교통시설 구조물에서 발생하는 대표적인 콘크리트의 성능저하 현상이다. 본 논문에서는 콘크리트의 스케일링 저항성에 영향을 미치는 요인을 분석하기 위하여 콘크리트의 역학적 성능, 공극구조 특성과 스케일링 저항성과의 관계를 실험적으로 고찰하였다. 실험결과, 콘크리트의 스케일링 저항성은 콘크리트의 압축강도와는 그다지 상관관계가 적었으며, 오히려 콘크리트의 표면투수 특성과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 또한, 콘크리트의 스케일링 저항성을 평가하기 위한 파라미터로써, 기포 간극계수 및 비표면적은 적합하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 한편, 결합재의 종류에 따른 스케일링 저항성도 상이하게 나타났으며, 보통포틀랜드시멘트 콘크리트 및 실리카흄 콘크리트에 비하여 고로슬래그미분말을 사용한 콘크리트의 스케일링 저항성이 상대적으로 낮은 것으로 나타났다.

고강도 고유동 콘크리트의 침식 저항성 (Erosion Resistance Evaluation of High-Strength SCC)

  • Damage of hydraulic concrete structures by the abrasion and erosion process is very severe and it indicates that the necessity of considering the influence of this process while designing concrete mixtures. Abrasion wear of concrete in hydraulic structures is caused by the movement of particles, water-borne debris. The resistance against erosion for high-strength self-consolidating concrete(SCC) was examined in this paper. A newly designed testing method is presented in order to quantitatively estimate the erosion of concrete. It was shown that loss of volume in abraded concrete can be explained as function of material parameters such as the amount of fly ash and blast furnace slag. Those admixtures have been widely used to reduce heat of hydration and improve resistance against sulfate attack. The results of current study can be used as a guideline in selecting the composition of concrete exposed to abrasion-wear.

솔잎재 콘크리트의 응력-변형과 내산성에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Stress-Strain and Acid-Resistance of Pine Needle Ash Concrete)

  • This study examines the stress-strain and acid-resistance of pine needle ash (PNA) concrete. Materials used for this experiment are PNA , normal portland cement, natural fine and coarse aggregate. Test results show that the highest static modulus of elasticity are achieved by 5 % PNA filled PNA concrete. Acid-resistance of PNA concrete is increased with increase of the content of PNA. It is 1.29 times of the normal cement concrete for 5 % PNA filled PNA concrete and 2.57 times fo r15% PNA filled PNA concrete, based on the elased days for 25% mass loss of original mass immersed in the 5% H2SO4 solution. Accordingly, PNA concrete will greatly improve the properties of concrete.

  • Concrete has a void, which exists as one of defect in concrete. If the porosity of concrete increases, durability of concrete decreases. In this paper, to improve surface void of concrete, surface penetration sealers are applied to specimen. And it were investigated that the resistances of chloride penetration and freezing and thawing for concrete with surface penetration sealer of two types. According to the results, surface penetration sealer has not show a harmful influence on strength and resistance of freezing and thawing. Also, B type surface penetration sealer was more superior in resistance of chloride penetration.

  • Reinforced concrete structures built on the seashore or in seawater are damaged from saltwater which cause to accelerate corrosion of reinforcing steel in concrete. Therefore, Corrosion of steel reinforcement of concrete structures become more and more serious, and prediction of service lives of concrete structures considering steel corrosion is needed much more. this research is to investigate basic physical properties of various corrosion inhibitors and to evaluate their corrosion resistance in concrete. The object of this study is develop appropriate corrosion protection systems so as to enhance the durability of concrete.

  • Recently great efforts and investment have been made in order to evaluate concrete durability by steel corrosion. But most of study is relatively or qualitatively estimated, therefore it has a great limitation in evaluating a remaining service life of concrete. In this research, steel corrosion rate was measured quantitatively by polarization resistance method and multi-regressed considering chloride, carbonation, coverage depth, relative humidity, W/C, and the use of deicing salts. And a half cell potential method was used at th same time for the purpose of comparing with polarization resistance method.

  • The objective of present paper is to provide the fundamental data of earthquake-resistance design such as estimating the resistance capacity and evaluating the design seismic load. With one bending failed building, it is checked and compared between real damaged result and analysis value by means of static and dynamic analysis using multi-degree of freedom system. In this analysis, four kinds of the earthquake waves are used. Through elasto-plastic seismic response analysis of reinforced concrete building, we could estimate dynamic behaviour of building.

  • In this study, the setting times of concrete was evaluated using the electro-mechanical (EMI) behavior of piezoelectric sensor embedded in the concrete. Penetration resistance test was also performed to compare with EMI sensing technique. As a result, the setting times of concrete can be measured more effectively than penetration resistance test through the EMI sensing technique using the piezoelectric sensor.

  • The method used to test lightweight aggregate concrete for its resistance to freezing and thawing is different in each country. In Korea, the method of KS F 2456 on normal concrete is adopted for lightweight aggregate concrete, while the testing method of ASTM C 330 lightweight aggregates for structural concrete is used in the majority of overseas countries. In this study, we identified differences between KS F 2456 and ASTM C 330 in terms of the testing method for freezing and thawing resistance, and we studied the influence of this on the freezing and thawing resistance of lightweight aggregate concrete. The results of this study were as follows: Blocked lightweight aggregates had a slight collapse of shape and lost weight by repeated freezing and thawing, but unblocked lightweight aggregates were badly collapsed. And while the freezing and thawing resistance tests of normal concrete showed similar results despite the difference in the KS and ASTM testing method, the results for lightweight aggregate concrete were very different. So the KS test method shows evaluation results that are much lower than the ASTM test method.
