This study analysed the needs of the elderly in computer education, their preference and demands for computer education to enhance the quality of information welfare for the elderly, and presented a computer education model for higher quality information welfare for the elderly to maximize the effect of computer education. For this study, variables were selected from previous studies and by the researcher to present a computer education model for the elderly.

The purpose of this study is to allow all of the instructors including field instructors to understand relation between school education and computer, generalize and analyze basic data required to acquire basic knowledge to help utilizing the computer for education and seek for understanding. This study intented to present a method to activate computer education focused on utilization education at the elementary education stage. Accordingly, those computer educations on middle/high schools and universities and through social educations have been excluded from the object of the study. In order to conduct fruitful computer education, several supporting systems should be equipped completely such as teachers, facilities, software, etc. Especially, practical experience of using computer is the most important element in the computer education, every school should be equipped with computers to prepare for its generalization. Roles of the teachers have also very important influence on it. Research and development of education software require expert knowledge and enormous time and effort and the developed software should be followed by the systematic evaluation on its quality.

현재 초등학교에서 실시되고 있는 컴퓨터교육은 정보통신기술지침, 교육과정 그리고 관련문헌들을 분석한 결과 교육과정의 계열, 중복 그리고 일관된 체계 부족 등의 문제점이 발견되었고, 학습내용의 대부분이 소프트웨어 기능습득 위주로 편성되어 있어 논리적 사고와 문제해결력을 길러내기가 매우 어렵다. 이에 본 연구는 초등학교 컴퓨터교육과정을 개선하기 위해 컴퓨터과학 요소의 도입이 시급하다고 판단하고 미국의 ACM교육과정 모델, 테네시 주의 컴퓨터교육과정 그리고 영국의 정보기술교육과정 등의 컴퓨터과학 지도 사례를 근거로 기존 내용체계를 수정 보완하여 컴퓨터원리, 알고리즘 및 프로그래밍이 도입되고 정보윤리영역이 강화된 개선된 컴퓨터교육과정을 제안하였다.

The purpose of this research is to develop a education on demand system by which general is people learn computer utilization. Nowadays computer is getting essential for everylife. However computer novice has difficulty in learning computer because computer utililization is changed rapidly. One is hard to learn computer because of lack of time and money. This system allows us to study computer at anyplace and anytime and to share educational data with learners. Therefore this system endows equal opportunity for general person to learn computer.

초등학교 컴퓨터 교육의 필수화로 그동안 다른 과목에 흡수되었던 초등학교 컴퓨터가 독립 과목 형태로 교육되고 있으나, 이는 ICT소양교육의 내용 체계를 준거로 하고 있어서 중등학교 컴퓨터 교육과정과의 비연계성 변에서 문제가 제기되고 있으며, 컴퓨터 교육의 한 부분인 정보윤리교육도 같은 문제를 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다. 정보윤리교육의 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 초 중등학교 전체 과정을 통하여 교육되어야 할 정보윤리교육 목표를 설정하고 내용체계를 재조직할 필요가 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 현재 시행되고 있는 ICT소양교육과 컴퓨터 교육과정에 포함된 정보윤리교육 내용 체계와 미국의 컴퓨터 교육과정에 포함된 정보윤리 관련 내용 체계를 분석하고, 이러한 분석에 기초하여 컴퓨터 교육에서 정보윤리교육을 위한 교육과정 모델을 설계하였다.

초등학교에서 컴퓨터교육은 교육과정상 주당 1시간씩 필수적으로 가르치도록 되어있다. 그런데, 컴퓨터 교육은 마땅한 교육과정이 잘 마련되어있지 못하다보니, 현장에서 교사들이 학생들에게 컴퓨터 교육을 수행할 때에 많은 애로를 겪고 있다. 교과교육 연구의 활성화를 위하여 부산교육대학교와 부산광역시가 공동으로 후원하는 교과교육 연구 발표회를 개최하였다. 여기에서 발표된 컴퓨터 교과 지도 방안을 소개하고, 연구 발표 후 컴퓨터과 교과 협의회 시간에 제기된 내용을 정리한다.

우리나라의 소프트웨어 생산은 세계 수준에 비하면 아직 미미한 수준에 그치고 있지만 우리나라의 소프트웨어 회사들 가운데 세계적으로 성공한 회사들도 점점 늘어나고 있다. 이러한 시대적인 변화에 부응하기 위하여 우리나라의 컴퓨터교육도 IT의 사용과 활용 중심에서 콘텐츠의 생산과 생산성을 높이기 위하여 원리 중심의 컴퓨터 과학 교육으로 방향 전환이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 초등학교와 중학교에서 '컴퓨터 시스템'과 관련된 교육과정을 개발하고 운영할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 컴퓨터과학교육과 관련된 해외 사례를 분석하고, 컴퓨터과학 교육과 정의 하위 영역으로서 컴퓨터 시스템 영역의 성취 목표를 제시하고, 교수학습 방법과 평가 방법의 고려사항을 제시한다.

7차 교육과정이 시작된 지 벌써 5년이 지났지만 기대했던 것만큼의 성과를 얻지 못한 채 여러가지 문제점이 드러났으며, 빠르게 발전하는 컴퓨터 기술에 교육과정이 효율적으로 대응하지 못하고 있다. 지금까지 중등학교 컴퓨터 교육의 일반적이고 총괄적인 문제점은 많은 선행 연구에서 제시되었다. 하지만 일선 학교 현장에서 수업을 담당하는 교사와 수업을 받는 학생들이 느끼고 가졌던 여러 가지 컴퓨터 교육의 세부 문제점들을 정확히 조사하여 앞으로의 컴퓨터 교육의 정책에 반영해야 할 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 지금까지 선행 연구에서 제시한 컴퓨터 교육의 일반적인 문제점들을 바탕으로 실제 중학교 현장의 정확한 실태와 교과재량으로 선택한 컴퓨터 교과의 실질적인 문제점을 컴퓨터 담당 교사와 학생들의 설문 조사를 통하여 객관적으로 분석하고, 이를 토대로 중학교 컴퓨터 교육의 개선 방안을 제시하였다.

현재 정보통신기술은 나날이 발전하여 우리의 생활과 교육현장에 혁신적인 변화를 불러일으키고 있으나 2007 교육과정 개정이후 학교 컴퓨터교육은 점점 위축되어 가고 있다. 이런 상황에서 교육대학 교육과정개편은 학교 컴퓨터 교육과정에 영향을 받을 수 있을 것이다. 그러므로 본 논문에서는 교육대학 컴퓨터관련 교육과정의 방향을 모색하고자 전국교육대학 컴퓨터교육과정 현황을 조사 및 분석하고 교사, 학생, 교수의 설문결과를 바탕으로 교육대학 컴퓨터관련 교육과정 개선안을 제안하였다. 본 논문의 결과가 교육대학 컴퓨터관련 교육과정 개정작업에 도움을 줄 것으로 기대한다.
