In this paper, we will examine single face tracking algorithms with scaling function in a mobile device. Face detection and tracking either in PC or mobile device with scaling function is an unsolved problem. Standard single face tracking method with particle filter has a problem in tracking the objects where the object can move closer or farther from the camera. Therefore, we create an algorithm which can work in a mobile device and perform a scaling function. The key idea of our proposed method is to extract the average of skin color in face detection, then we compare the skin color distribution between the detected face and the tracking face. This method works well if the face position is located in front of the camera. However, this method will not work if the camera moves closer from the initial point of detection. Apart from our weakness of algorithm, we can improve the accuracy of tracking.
This paper is to study and realize a measuring device for complex dielectric constants. The device is consisted in order of interface unit, external RAM, programmable counter, D/A converter, measuring circuit, Sample & Hold circuit, A/D converter and related control circuits. Various excitation waves are digitalized and sent to the 4096 static RAM by personal computer. These data saved in the RAM are converted to analog excitation waves through D/A converter. The frequency of excitation wave is depend on the read-out speed of the RAM according to clock pulses. Such generated waves are applied to dielectrics under test and their responses are sampled and converted to digital data through A/D converter. The computer takes the digital data and calculates finally the complex dielectric constants. The frequencies for Measurement ranges from 0.04 Hz to 10 kHz.

IEC 62304 is a standard for the medical device software lifecycle. Developers must develop software that complies with all specifications in the standard for licensing. However, because the standard contains not only a large number of specifications, but also domain-specific information and association relationships between specifications, it requires considerable effort and time for developers to understand and interpret the standard. To support developers, this paper presents a method for extracting the contents of the IEC 62304 standard as a goal model, which is the core methodologies of requirements engineering. The proposed method analyzes the grammar of the standard to robustly extract complex structures and various information from standard specifications and define rules that extract goals and links from syntactic element units. We validated the actual extraction process for the standard document experimentally. Based on the extracted goal model, developers can intuitively and efficiently comply with the standard and track specific information within the medical software and standard domains.

In this paper, we present a new game interface design for First Person Shooters (FPS). Previously, FPSs on computer are commonly played using keyboard/mouse or joystick along with PC display. We improve the communication environment between player and game world by means of new control system including large screen, laser gun, and directional device, which create a real life-like space for players. Because traditional display for FPS uses CRT, it cannot support large screen display due to limitation of CRT technology. We designed and implemented a new input device using laser recognizable display. We implemented a new FPS based on Quake III that is in accordance with the new devices. Results suggest that the combined interface creates a method which helps beginners to enjoy playing a FPS immediately and gives experienced players a new gaming experience.

We designed the CMOS analog integrate and fire (I&F) neuron circuit for driving memristor based on resistive-switching random access memory (RRAM). And we fabricated the RRAM device that have $HfO_2$ switching layer using atomic layer deposition (ALD). The RRAM device has gradual set and reset characteristics. By spice modeling of the synaptic device, we performed circuit simulation of synaptic device and CMOS neuron circuit. The neuron circuit consists of a current mirror for spatial integration, a capacitor for temporal integration, two inverters for pulse generation, a refractory part, and finally a feedback part for learning of the RRAM. We emulated the spike-timing-dependent-plasticity (STDP) characteristic that is performed automatically by pre-synaptic pulse and feedback signal of the neuron circuit. By STDP characteristics, the synaptic weight, conductance of the RRAM, is changed without additional control circuit.

An optically controlled silicon MESFET (OPFET) was fabricated by diffusion process to enhance the quantum efficiency, which is the most important optoelectronic device performance usually affected by ion implantation process due to large number of process induced defects. The desired impurity distribution profile and the junction depth were obtained solely with diffusion, and etching processes monitored by atomic force microscope, spreading resistance profiling and C-V measurements. With this approach fabrication induced defects are reduced, leading to significantly improved performance. The fabricated OPFET devices showed proper I-V characteristics with desired pinch-off voltage and threshold voltage for normally-on devices. The peak photoresponsivity was obtained at 620 nm wavelength and the extracted external quantum efficiency from the photoresponse plot was found to be approximately 87.9%. This result is evidence of enhancement of device quantum efficiency fabricated by the diffusion process. It also supports the fact that the diffusion process is an extremely suitable process for fabrication of high performance optoelectronic devices. The maximum gain of OPFET at optical modulated signal was obtained at the frequency of 1 MHz with rise time and fall time approximately of 480 nS. The extracted transconductance shows the possible potential of device speed performance improvements for shorter gate length. The results support the use of a diffusion process for fabrication of high performance optoelectronic devices.

A sensor, connection box, evaluation board, device server, and main computer are those. There were two types of sensor, one was harmonic sensor the other was current sensors. The signal was acquired by sensor, and transferred to evaluation board. Second one is connection box. Because the output type of sensor and input type of evaluation board is different, connection box was necessary. Third one was evaluation board. The signal from the sensor was converted to digital signal in evaluation board. And this signal was transferred to device server. Fourth one was device server. Device server transferred the data from evaluation board to main computer. And the last one was other parts controlled by main computer. In main computer, there were communication and diagnosis algorithms. The result was derived by main computer. In the result, there were 12 categories and 5 levels of motor conditions. The proposed system had some advantages comparing with stand alone type commercial motor fault diagnosis system. The first, by using remote access it was easier to get the conditions of motor. The second, there was no need to handle the sensors when users measured the motor signals. By this property, no one was necessary at motor location site. The third, this system was less restricted by times and places than commercial stand alone type diagnosis system. Therefore users can operate this system only using the main computer. Once the sensors are installed at the motor, users doesn't need to move to check up the condition of motors. Moreover, if there is ethernet hub, many motors can be not only diagnosed at once but also decreased its cost.
