  • We study averaging properties in Banach spaces, First, we seek an averaging property equivalent to the reflexivity in Banach spaces. Second, we investigate averaging properties in Banach space using the Brunet-Sucheston's spreading model.

  • The purpose of this paper is to solve the generalized Hyers-Ulam stability problem for a cubic functional equation 8f(x-y/2)+8f(y-x/2)+2f(x+y)=9f(x)+9f(y) on the basis of a direct method.

  • The use of fuzzy number over interval of confidence instead of possibilitic consideration for solving fuzzy equation is proposed. This approach of solving fuzzy equation by interval arithmetic and ${\alpha}$-cuts has a considerable advantage. Through theoretical analysis, an illustrative example and computational results, we show that the proposed approach is more general and straight-forword.

  • We show how the minimization can be used to solve the quadratic matrix equattion. We then compare two different types of conjugate gradient method and show Polak and Ribire version converge more rapidly than Fletcher and Reeves version in several examples.

  • In this paper we study an existence and the approxi-mation of the solution of the solution of the elliptic variational inequality from an abstract axiomatic point of view. We discuss convergence results and give an error estimate for the difference of the two solutions in an appropriate norm Also we present some computational results by using fixed point method.

  • The least squares cross validated bandwidth is the mini-mizer of the corss validation function for choosing the smooth parame-ter of a kernel density estimator. It is a completely automatic method but it requires inordinate amounts of computational time. We present a convenient formula for calculation of the cross validation function when the kernel function is a symmetric polynomial with finite sup-port. Also we suggest an algorithm for finding global minima of the crass validation function.

  • This paper presents a parallel implementation of stiff-ness matrix calculation based on the processor farm model on a net-work of workstations running PVM programming environment. As the computational characteristics of stiffnes matrix exhibits good po-tentials for effective prallel computation the performance improve-ment is show to be almost linear with the number of sorkstations involved in the computation.

  • We would like to propose a Cooley-Tukey modied algorithm in fast Fourier transform(FFT). Of course, this is a kind of Cooley-Tukey twiddle factor algorithm and we focused on the choice of integers. The proposed algorithm is better than existing ones in speeding up the calculation of the FFT.

  • We analyze the error in the p version of the of the finite element method when the effect of the quadrature error is taken in the load vector. We briefly study some results on the $H^{1}$ norm error and present some new results for the error in the $L^{2}$ norm. We inves-tigate the quadrature error due to the numerical integration of the right hand side We present theoretical and computational examples showing the sharpness of our results.
