  • As the LNG storage tank is aged, if there is a crack in the outer wall concrete or corrosion of the reinforcing steel, there is a risk of a major accident such as collapse of the structure depending on the type and degree of damage. Since 2014, LNG storage tanks have undergone precise safety diagnosis and safety inspection has been carried out. The condition evaluation criteria for each component have been revised and applied in January 2016. The condition evaluation standard is to evaluate the status of storage tanks based on the appearance survey and material test results of LNG storage tanks and it is important for maintenance. In addition, the representative condition evaluation standard that shows the comprehensive state of each LNG storage tank is important in maintenance, but the related standard for LNG storage tank outer concrete is not available in Korea and abroad, and development of the condition evaluation standard is necessary. In this paper, we examined the structural characteristics of LNG storage tanks, analyzed the status of the condition evaluation criteria for each member, and developed a comprehensive status rating system by weighting the members. We used the AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) technique and developed a representative conditon evaluation criteria through surveys of professional organizations.

  • Video was a cultural practice based on image. The audience longs to experience new things, not everyday things through by video images. There are many components of the image, but among them, color, a visual representation, plays a big role. Since the advent of color films, color has constantly evolved as an important component of visual art and has become an important role in innovative visual art design. According to film history data, filmmakers were interested in color since the film was created in 1895, but in the early stages of film development, film colors were only black and white. Because these two colors no longer satisfy viewers, more natural colors began to emerge from the film as it was colored. However, with the development of historical paintings, the lack of artistic creation and the public's level increased, making people more active in using colors because simple reproduction of natural colors alone does not satisfy people. The colors in the video are both techniques of expression and can be understood by mind and thought. It is also an indication that colors do not just exist, but they work strongly on human psychology. Now people are so motivated by repetitive and unimportant information that they find that the human intuitive system simplifies the information they receive unconsciously that they have certain customs and characteristics when they see things. Color is part of the film language, or color language can express the film's ideological themes or portray vivid characters in the film, and people are receiving more intuitive messages. This study analyzed the basic color components of bisexual lighting, namely, pink, blue, and purple, and analyzed how human psychology is affected through color, combining the scenes from the video. The purpose of this paper is to explore what color language bisexual lighting is expressed using color properties in images and how bisexual lighting interacts with human psychology through color.

  • All-solid-state batteries are one of the promising candidates for next-generation batteries and are drawing attention as a key component that will lead the future electric vehicle industry. This study analyzes 10,280 comments on Reddit, which is a global social media, in order to identify policy issues and public interest related to all-solid-state batteries from 2016 to 2021. Text mining such as frequency analysis, association rule analysis, and topic modeling, and sentiment analysis are applied to the collected global data to grasp global trends, compare them with the South Korean government's all-solid-state battery development strategy, and suggest policy directions for its national research and development. As a result, the overall sentiment toward all-solid-state battery issues was positive with 50.5% positive and 39.5% negative comments. In addition, as a result of analyzing detailed emotions, it was found that the public had trust and expectation for all-solid-state batteries. However, feelings of concern about unresolved problems coexisted. This study has an academic and practical contribution in that it presented a text mining analysis method for deriving key issues related to all-solid-state batteries, and a more comprehensive trend analysis by employing both a top-down approach based on government policy analysis and a bottom-up approach that analyzes public perception.

  • OBJECTIVES : The objective of this research is to develop additives for the modification of Solvent DeAsphalting Residue (SDAR) to be used as pavement materials, and evaluate the performance of asphalt mixture manufactured using the SDAR modified by developed additives. METHODS : The SDAR generally consists of more asphaltenes and less oil components compared to the conventional asphalt binder, and hence, the chemical/physical properties of SDAR are different from that of conventional asphalt binder. In this research, the additives are developed using the low molecular oil-based plasticizer to improve the properties of SDAR. First, the chemical property of two SDARs is analyzed using SARA (saturate, aromatic, resin, and asphaltene) method. The physical/rheological properties of SDARs and SDARs containing additives are also evaluated based on PG-grade method and dynamic shear-modulus master curve. Second, various laboratory tests are conducted for the asphalt mixture manufactured using the SDAR modified with additives. The laboratory tests conducted in this study include the mix design, compactibility analysis, indirect tensile test for moisture susceptibility, dynamic modulus test for rheological property, wheel-tracking test for rutting performance, and direct tension fatigue test for cracking performance. RESULTS : The PG-grade of SDARs is higher than PG 76 in high temperature grades and immeasurable in low temperature grades. The dynamic shear modulus of SDARs is much higher than that of conventional asphalt, but the modified SDARs with additives show similar modulus compared to that of conventional asphalt. The moisture susceptibility of asphalt mixture with modified SDARs is good if, the anti-stripping agent is included. The performance (dynamic modulus, rutting resistance, and fatigue resistance) of asphalt mixture with modified SDARs is comparable to that of conventional asphalt mixture when appropriate amount of additives is added. CONCLUSIONS : The saturate component of SDARs is much less than that of conventional asphalt, and hence, it is too hard and brittle to be used as pavement materials. However, the modified SDARs with developed additives show comparable or better rheological/physical properties compared to that of conventional asphalt depending on the type of SDAR and the amount of additives used.

  • A maritime object detection system is an intelligent assistance system to maritime autonomous surface ship(MASS). It detects automatically floating debris, which has a clash risk with objects in the surrounding water and used to be checked by a captain with a naked eye, at a similar level of accuracy to the human check method. It is used to detect objects around a ship. In the past, they were detected with information gathered from radars or sonar devices. With the development of artificial intelligence technology, intelligent CCTV installed in a ship are used to detect various types of floating debris on the course of sailing. If the speed of processing video data slows down due to the various requirements and complexity of MASS, however, there is no guarantee for safety as well as smooth service support. Trying to solve this issue, this study conducted research on the minimization of computation volumes for video data and the increased speed of data processing to detect maritime objects. Unlike previous studies that used the Hough transform algorithm to find the horizon and secure the areas of interest for the concerned objects, the present study proposed a new method of optimizing a binarization algorithm and finding areas whose locations were similar to actual objects in order to improve the speed. A maritime object detection system was materialized based on deep learning CNN to demonstrate the usefulness of the proposed method and assess the performance of the algorithm. The proposed algorithm performed at a speed that was 4 times faster than the old method while keeping the detection accuracy of the old method.

  • Support media for yeast immobilization was prepared from a porous volcanic rock used as a moisturizer in orchid growing. The rock was broken to the size of 2-3 mm and burned at $600^{\circ}C$ in a furnace in order to remove organic materials blocking the pores or treated with HCI solution or NaOH solution to remove the inorganic dirts by dissolving. Even through both the acid and the akali solution were effective the latter was not recommendable because it broke the pore structure by dissolving the elements of the media. This media was mainly consisted of SiO2 with $Al_2O_3$ as a minor component and CaO and K2O as trace elements. It had the finely developed pores of $15-80\mu\textrm{m}$size. Yeast immobilization capacity of this media was about $5{\times108}$ cells/ml bed which is large enough to be used for the practical applications. Yeast immobilization capacities of Alumina and Cordierite were much smaller than that of silica-based media. Scanning electron micrograph of Cordierite and Alumina showed uneven surfaces and small size of pores in contrast to relatively smooth surface and large pores of silica based media which means that smooth surface and large pores are desirable for the good adsorption of microbes on the media.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze how the content elements of the environment education are displayed between related subjects in elementary school curriculum and find a desirable direction of the environment education. Major subjects that handle the components of the environment education include science, physical education, social studies, ethics, and practical arts. Among these subjects, science aims for the ecological perspective, social studies aims for rational decision making and practical behaviors, and ethics aims for the correct formation of environmental ethics and values. In the component ratio of the environment education, the domains of the natural environment, environmental ethics, environmental pollution, environmental protection and measure were higher. In the formation of content elements according to grades, the connectivity of the environment curriculum has been relatively well secured in the order of the learning about the environmental components, awareness on environmental problems and the measures and efforts to overcome environmental problems. Based on the findings above, the followings are proposed for future environment curriculum in elementary school. First, it is necessary to increase the ratio of the ecological perspective based on science and coordinate the period to suggest this contents. Second, it is necessary to complement the contents of social studies regarding green growth and sustainable development which have become global issues in the environment education. Third, Pan-curriculum and integrated discussions to prepare multi-academic and interdisciplinary environment curriculum have to be preceded and through this process it is necessary to set the target of environment education and select the content elements of the curriculum.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest implications for the development and revision of future teaching materials for mathematically gifted students by using network text analysis of secondary mathematics materials. Subjects of the analysis were learning goals of 110 teaching materials in a gifted education center in science attached to a university from 2002 to 2014. In analysing the frequency of the texts that appeared in the learning goals, key words were selected. A co-occurrence matrix of the key words was established, and a basic information of network, centrality, centralization, component, and k-core were deducted. For the analysis, KrKwic, KrTitle, and NetMiner4.0 programs were used, respectively. The results of this study were as follows. First, there was a pivot of the network formed with core hubs including 'diversity', 'understanding' 'concept' 'method', 'application', 'connection' 'problem solving', 'basic', 'real life', and 'thinking ability' in the whole network from 2002 to 2014. In addition, knowledge aspects were well reflected in teaching materials based on the centralization analysis. Second, network text analysis based on the three periods of the Mater Plan for the promotion of gifted education was conducted. As a result, a network was built up with 'understanding', and there were strong ties among 'question', 'answer', and 'problem solving' regardless of the periods. On the contrary, the centrality analysis showed that 'communication', 'discovery', and 'proof' only appeared in the first, second, and third period of Master Plan, respectively. Therefore, the results of this study suggest that affective aspects and activities with high cognitive process should be accompanied, and learning goals' mannerism and ahistoricism be prevented in developing and revising teaching materials.

  • Objectives: Autism is a complex neurodevelopmental spectrum disorder with a strong genetic component. Previous neurochemical and genetic studies have suggested the possible involvement of the serotonin system in autism. Tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase(TDO2) is the rate-limiting enzyme in the catabolism of tryptophan, which is the precursor of serotonin synthesis. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the TDO2 gene and autism spectrum disorders(ASD) in a Korean population. Methods: The patients were diagnosed with ASD on the basis of the DSM-IV diagnostic classification outlined in the Korean version of the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule. The present study included the detection of four single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) in the TDO2 gene(rs2292536, rs6856558, rs6830072, rs6830800) and the family-based association analysis of the single nucleotide polymorphisms in Korean ASD trios using a transmission disequilibrium test(TDT) and haplotype analysis. The family trios of 136 probands were included in analysis. 87.5% were male and 86.0% were diagnosed with autism. The mean age of the probands was $78.5{\pm}35.8$ months(range: 26-264 months). Results: Two SNPs showed no polymorphism, and there was no significant difference in transmission in the other two SNPs. We also could not find any significant transmission in the haplotype analysis(p>.05). Conclusion: We could not find any significant statistical association between the transmission of SNPs in the TDO2 gene and ASD in a Korean population. This result may not support the possible involvement of the TDO2 gene in the development of ASD, and further exploration might be needed to investigate other plausible SNP sites.

  • Navy establishes the Naval Task Forces (TF) for many kinds of maritime operations. Then the TF in the maritime environment performs simultaneous component operations such as ASUW (Anti-Surface Warfare), ASW (Anti-Submarine Warfare), AAW (Anti-Aircraft Warfare), and assault operations. The TF consists of many tactical systems for the completion of missions C4I, VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol), DMHS (Digital Massage Handling System), and TDLs (Tactical Data Links) such as LINK-11, 16, ISDL (Inter Site Data Link). When the TF executes naval operations to complete a mission, we are interested in the kill chain for the maritime operations in the TF. The kill chain is a standard procedure for the naval operations to crush enemy defenses. Although each ship has a procedure about a manual for 'how to fight', it leave something to be desired for the TF detailed kill chain currently. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the naval TF's kill chain to perform the naval operations. Then, the operational effectiveness of the TF in the kill chain environment is determined through operation scenarios of TDL system implementation. It is to see the operational information sharing effect to a data link model based on MND-AF OV 6c (statement of tracking operational status) in the maritime operations applied to TDL and is to identify improvements in information dissemination process. We made the kill chain of maritime TF for the effective naval operations.
