Taiwanese abounds with verbal complexes. Among them, phasal complexes, resultative complexes, and directional complexes are alike in that their second component denotes some sort of result. Moreover, they behave similarly in that they can occur in V-ho-Y, V-e/be-Y, and V-bo-V forms. Despite the similarities, they still differ from one another in several aspects, such as whether objects are allowed inside or after the verbal complex, whether infixing changes their basic meaning, etc. This paper examines their individual properties carefully and proposes that these three types of complexes are all different from one another in their formation and thus the difference in their syntactic behavior. Directional complexes are syntactic phrases, resultative complexes are compounds derived in syntax, and while some phasal complexes are also syntactically derived compounds, others are compounds formed in the lexicon. This paper aims to argue that words (or compounds in this case) can be formed in syntax as well as in the lexicon.

The template synthesis of copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes derived from 2,6-diformyl-4-methylphenol with diethylenetriamine or 1,2-bis(3-aminopropylamino)ethane produce the 12-membered $N_3O$ and 17-membered $N_4O$ macrocyclic complexes, respectively. The geometry of the complexes has been determined with the help of electronic and EPR spectroscopic values and found to be five coordinated square pyramidal and, six coordinated distorted tetragonal for 12-membered and 17-membered macrocyclic complexes, respectively. Electrochemical studies of the mononuclear $N_3O$ and $N_4O$ copper(II) complexes show one irreversible oneelectron reduction wave at $E_{pc}=-1.35$ and -1.15 V respectively, and the corresponding nickel(II) complexes show irreversible one-electron reduction wave at $E_{pc}=-1.25$ and -1.22 V, respectively. The nickel(II) complexes show irreversible one-electron oxidation wave at $E_{pa}=+0.84$ and +0.82 V, respectively. All the complexes were evaluated for in vitro antimicrobial activity against the human pathogenic bacteria and fungi.
Ten [$Pd^{II}$(dicarboxylato)(1, 2-diaminocyclohexane)] complexes were prepared after the antitumor-active Pt(II)1, 2-diaminocyclohexane complexes as the cisplatin analogues of palladium series. They were characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopy. As a result, the dicarboxylate ligands were conformed to be chelated with Pd(II) within the scope studied. The stability differences beween the dicarboxylato complexes according to the chelate ring size could not be differentiated due to generally lower thermodynamic stability of the dicarboxylato Pd(II) complexes.
Recent reports suggest that floral organs such as sepals, petals, stamens, and carpels are specified by quaternary MADS protein complexes with different combinations. The formation of quaternary complexes of ABCDE MADS proteins may be the molecular basis of ABCDE model for the floral organ development. The MADS complexes involved in each floral organ development seem to be conserved in at least dicot species although detailed molecular mechanism is slightly different depending on species. Even in monocot, at least rice, MADS complexes similar to those in dicot exist, suggesting that the floral organ specification by MADS protein complexes may be conserved in most of plants. The MADS protein complexes may have more specific recognition of target genes or more transcription activation ability than monomers or dimers, resulting in finely regulated floral organ development.
This paper proposed an effect analysis method that meets the characteristics and purposes of the revitalization project for old industrial complexes, and quantified the economical effects about the project in Jeollabuk-do by case analysis. The problems on the existing effect analysis about revitalization project for old industrial complexes, estimated as transportation benefits on the main entrance roads plan and the increased rent benefits on the internal roads and other plans, were examined. In addition, the land use plan ratio on the old industrial complexes compared to the averages, and the surveys to the residential company were conducted. And this paper finally proposed an effect analysis methodology for the revitalization project for old Industrial Complexes in consideration of the increase in the operation rate and the added values through the conversion to high value-added industrial sectors. It was analyzed that new value added of KRW 743,278 million can be generated for next 30 years when the revitalization project for old Industrial Complexes in Jeollabuk-do is implemented.
A number of molybdenum(VI), -(V), and -(IV) oxo complexes with S-methyl 3-(2-hydroxyphenyl)methylenedithiocarbazate and its derivatives as the ONS-donor metal-binding substrate are synthesized. The Mo(VI)-dioxo complexes are cis-dioxo Mo$O_2$L(D), where D is solvent molecules such as MeOH, DMF, Py(pyridine), DMSO, and ${\gamma}$-Pic(${\gamma}$-picoline). The Mo(V)-oxo complexes are of the type (PyH)[MoO(NCS$)_2$L] with an octahedral geometry. The Mo(IV)-oxo complexes, MoOL are derived from corresponding Mo(VI)-dioxo complexes by oxo abstraction with PP$h_3$. The complexes are characterized by IR, $^1$H-NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. On the basis of ligand displacement reaction, the qualitative order of D binding for Mo$O_2$L(D) complexes is also discussed.
PURPOSES : The objective of this study is to identify the characteristics affecting traffic accidents that have occurred in 564 industrial complexes nationwide from 2011 to 2015. METHODS : The traffic accidents were specified using various factors such as industrial complex type (national VS. general), industrial complex degradation (old VS. non-old), location of complex (capital VS. non-capital), and traffic law violation (speeding, signal violation, and median invasion). The average number of crashes and accident ratio (fatal, severe, and both) in terms of characteristics of industrial complexes were calculated. With a sample of crashes of the industrial complexes for 5 years, statistical significances were tested to analyze and compare the differences based on industrial complex and traffic law characteristics using parametric and non-parametric methods. RESULTS : From statistical results, it is observed that the crash frequency occurring in old industrial complexes is three times higher than that in non-old industrial complexes. Old industrial complexes located in a capital area, old national industrial complexes, and old general industrial complexes are considerably related to higher crash frequency, but the fatal accident ratio appeared to have no statistical difference across industrial complex characteristics. Severe crashes are more likely to occur in non-old industrial complexes on an average. CONCLUSIONS : It is necessary to eliminate potential threats to roads and traffic in the same manner as illegal parking in industrial complexes through the restoration of old industrial complexes. To improve the efficiency of road infrastructure, efforts should be made to improve traffic safety in accordance with industrial characteristics such as planning and operation of relevant local government programs.
The internal streets of mixed-use commercial complexes, which are the extension of urban streets, are being changed from a mediating space aiming at movement to a staying-type space according to the change of mixed-use commercial complexes. And they function as a resting place of user with court and plaza, and act as an urban public space, and accommodate an activity arising from the gathering of many people. As a result, a role of new relaxation and community space is played in the center of the city. And the aspect of publicness is brought into relief. Hence, this study is intended to examine the characteristics that the internal streets of mixed-use commercial complexes have, and furthermore, it is intended to show the planning characteristics in the contemporary mixed-use commercial complexes. With regard to the method of research, first, space configuration and role of internal streets was examined according to the change of mixed-use commercial complexes on the basic of precedent research and literature review. And the internal streets of mixed-use commercial complexes were classified into doorway part, traffic line, and open space. And the characteristics of internal streets in the mixed-use commercial complexes through the concept of architectural 'publicness' were derived as accessibility, amenity, perceptibility, openness, connectivity and symbolism. The internal streets of mixed-use commercial complexes should be changed by the space planning to secure continuity with the city on the basis of accessibility and connectivity and to reinforce visual openness in the internal streets in order to improve amenity and perceptibility, accordingly the mixed-use commercial complexes will be also born again as symbolic public space in the city. Variously changing elements to improve publicness very importantly act on the planning of internal streets in the mixed-use commercial complexes, and therefore researches should be continuously carried out.

A new series of acyclic mononuclear gadolinium(III) complexes have been prepared by Schiff-base condensation derived from 5-methylsalicylaldehyde, diethylenetriamine, tris(2-aminoethyl) amine, triethylenetetramine, N,N-bis(3-aminopropyl)ethylene diamine, N,N-bis(aminopropyl) piperazine, and gadolinium nitrate. All the complexes were characterized by elemental and spectral analyses. Electronic spectra of the complexes show azomethine (CH=N) within the range of 410-420 nm. The fluorescence efficiency of Gd(III) ion in the cavity was completely quenched by the higher chain length ligands. Electrochemical studies of the complexes show irreversible one electron reduction process around -2.15 to -1.60 V The reduction potential of gadolinium(III) complexes shifts towards anodic directions respectively upon increasing the chain length. The catalytic activity of the gadolinium(III) complexes on the hydrolysis of 4-nitrophenylphosphate was determined. All gadolinium(III) complexes were screened for antibacterial activity.
This study focused on the analysis of residential satisfaction and environment awareness depending on the environment-friendly level on the outdoor space of the housing complexes. The purpose of this study is to present basic materials of the environment-friendly outdoor space planning of housing complexes. The major findings of the study are as follows. First, the results of the comparative analysis of the satisfaction of the outdoor space of apartment complexes show that the complexes with the most application of environment-friendly elements had higher residential satisfaction. But there was no meaningful statistical difference between the complexes with the higher level of application of the environment-friendly elements and the complexes with medium level of application. Secondly, according to a comparative analysis, the overall residential satisfaction of the apartment complexes was the same as the residential satisfaction of the outdoor space. Thirdly, the results of the correlative analysis of residential satisfaction and environmental awareness showed that the satisfaction of the apartment complexes decreases as the awareness of the environment-friendly apartment complex increases. The results of this study can be used as basic materials for environment-friendly outdoor space planning of apartment complexes.
