국제 경쟁력과 의류산업의 대응에 관한 연구 (A Study on Apparel Products Performance Effecting the International Marketing Strategies)

  • Korea's clothing industry which has been country's leading export industry and basic strategical industry is now faced with many difficulties both domestically and internationally. Domestically it is faced with continuing shortage of manpower in both production line and management high labour cost causing increase in price putting more weight on behavior of consumers resulting in change of industrial environment and continuing structural problems of industry itself. Internationally it is faced with strengthening of import regulations and protectionism of developed countries and rapid emergence of underdeveloped countries as leading exporting nations. In reality export plays the most essential role in our economy and is especially sensitive to the external environmental factors. Already economic bloc phonomenon can be seen everywhere and is continuing to accelerate in place such as E. U in Europ, North & South America as NAFTA, and South East Asian contries which recent tendency of economic unity effort is present. These countries of such economic blocs are imposing heavy custom duties reinforcing provision of country origin and acting out strict inspection regulations in order to protect the interest of their own industry. Therefore it is vital to manufacture excellent quality goods For these reasons study in this area has brought attention in Korea as well as worldwide in the recent years. Apparel industry which requires professional technology and ability is the most competitive international business. In order to challenge the international market the high level of intelligence is most required to produce high quality goods. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between functions and roles of marketing and to approach problems in more efficient manner. Apparel industry is composed of various programs such as design pattern making merchandising and textile science. To succeed in the business is to give the highest satisfaction to the targeted market. Hence this study will example the factors that determine the Cost Quality and Performance of apparel products. The study will involve following steps; firstly establish relationship between the quality concept and productivity of apparel products Secondly inquire in to marketing strategy laying stress on apparel production related factors focusing on merchandising marketing production and operations Thirdly prospect 21st century apparel industry focusing on garment production and trade and also other countries structural improvement Fourthly establish the new dimension of competitive factors by grasping the actual circumstance of Korea's apparel industry in the international market. The research method will include; First reality approach method by analysing the present state of industry Second literal analysis such as marketing comparisons between leading apparel exporting countries.

시뮬레이션을 기반(基盤)으로 하는 영업이윤율(營業利潤率) 추정(推定) 시스템 (Simulation-Based Stochastic Markup Estimation System $(S^2ME)$)

  • This paper introduces a system, Simulation based Stochastic Markup Estimation System (S2ME), for estimating optimum markup for a project. The system was designed and implemented to better represent the real world system involved in construction bidding. The findings obtained from the analysis of existing assumptions used in the previous quantitative markup estimation methods were incorporated to improve the accuracy and predictability of the S2ME. The existing methods has four categories of assumption as follows; (1) The number of competitors and who is the competitors are known, (2) A typical competitor, who is fictitious, is assumed for easy computation, (3) the ratio of bid price against cost estimate (B/C) is assumed to follow normal distribution, (4) The deterministic output obtained from the probabilistic equation of existing models is assumed to be acceptable. However, these assumptions compromise the accuracy of prediction. In practice, the bidding patterns of the bidders are randomized in competitive bidding. To complement the lack of accuracy contributed by these assumptions, bidding project was randomly selected from the pool of bidding database in the simulation experiment. The probability to win the bid in the competitive bidding was computed using the profile of the competitors appeared in the selected bidding project record. The expected profit and probability to win the bid was calculated by selecting a bidding record randomly in an iteration of the simulation experiment under the assumption that the bidding pattern retained in historical bidding DB manifest revival. The existing computation, which is handled by means of deterministic procedure, were converted into stochastic model using simulation modeling and analysis technique as follows; (1) estimating the probability distribution functions of competitors' B/C which were obtained from historical bidding DB, (2) analyzing the sensitivity against the increment of markup using normal distribution and actual probability distribution estimated by distribution fitting, (3) estimating the maximum expected profit and optimum markup range. In the case study, the best fitted probability distribution function was estimated using the historical bidding DB retaining the competitors' bidding behavior so that the reliability was improved by estimating the output obtained from simulation experiment.

외레순 식품 클러스터의 트리플 힐릭스 혁신체계 (The Triple Helix System of Innovation in the Oresund Food Cluster)

  • 본 연구는 덴마크 코펜하겐과 스웨덴 스케네 지방을 아우르는 초국경적 산업 클러스터를 형성하고 있는 외레순 지역 식품 클러스터의 성격을 트리플 힐릭스 혁신체계 관점에서 분석한 것이다. 외레순 식품 클러스터의 트리플 힐릭스 혁신체계는 3가지 차원의 트리플 힐릭스 공간을 통해 지속적인 혁신과 혁신 시너지를 창출하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 먼저 트리플 힐릭스 지식공간(knowledge spaces)은 지역 대학들의 연합 조직인 외레순 대학을 통해 식품산업과 관련된 교육 및 연구 협력 프로그램을 운영하고 있으며, 대학들이 생성해 내는 강력한 지식창출 체계와 자발적 및 정책적 노력에 의해 활성화된 산 학 협력을 통해 지식 이전과 활용 체계가 효율적으로 구축되어 있다. 둘째, 트리플 힐릭스 합의공간(consensus spaces)으로는 외레순 푸드 네트워크(Oresund Food Network)가 핵심 매개조직으로 기능하면서 식품 클러스터의 네트워크 조직자이자 비전 제시자 역할을 담당하고 있다. 마지막으로 트리플 힐릭스 혁신공간(innovation spaces)은 이데온 사이언스 파크를 비롯한 다수의 인큐베이터 및 비즈니스파크들이 단순한 물리적 컨테이너 역할을 벗어나 식품 클러스터의 공식적 및 비공식적 네트워크의 공간적 거점 역할을 수행하고 있다. 외레순 식품 클러스터는 이러한 3가지 층위의 트리플 힐릭스 공간을 통해 산 학 관이 역동적인 상호작용 네트워크 체계를 형성하면서 진화하고 있다.

A Research Program for Modeling Strategic Aspects of International Container Port Competition

  • As national economies globalize, demand for intercontinental container shipping services is growing rapidly, providing a potential economic boon for the countries and communities that provide port services. On the promise of profits, many governments are investing heavily in port infrastructure, leading to a possible glut in port capacity, driving down prices for port services and eliminating profits as ports compete for business. Further, existing ports are making strategic investments to protect their market share, increasing the chance new ports will be overcapitalized and unprofitable. Governments and port researchers need a tool for understanding how local competition in their region will affect demand for port services at their location, and thus better assess the profitability of a prospective port. We propose to develop such a tool by extending our existing simulation model of global container traffic to incorporate demand-side shipper preferences and supply-side strategic responses by incumbent ports to changes in the global port network, including building new ports, scaling up existing ports, and unexpected port closures. We will estimate shipper preferences over routes, port attributes and port services based on US and international shipping data, and redesign the simulation model to maximize the shipper's revealed preference functions rather than simply minimize costs. As demand shifts, competing ports will adjust their pricing (short term) and infrastructure (long term) to remain competitive or defend market share, a reaction we will capture with a game theoretic model of local monopoly that will predict changes in port characteristics. The model's hypotheses will be tested in a controlled laboratory experiment tailored to local port competition in Asia, which will also serve to demonstrate the subtle game theoretic concepts of imperfect competition to a policy and industry audience. We will apply the simulation model to analyze changes in global container traffic in three scenarios: addition of a new large port in the US, extended closure of an existing large port in the US, and cooperative and competitive port infrastructure development among Korean partner countries in Asia.

2020년 여름 섬진강 대홍수 이후 하천 수목 분포에 대한 공간 점 패턴 분석 (Spatial Point Pattern Analysis of Riparian Tree Distribution After the 2020 Summer Extreme Flood in the Seomjin River)

  • 2020년 여름, 한반도 남부를 강타한 대홍수는 섬진강 하천 생태계를 크게 교란시켰다. 홍수의 피해를 입은 하천 수목 중 일부는 고사하였고, 또 다른 일부는 시간이 지남에 따라 어느 정도 회복되는 모습을 보였다. 더불어 홍수 후 새로 자라난 수목도 관찰되었다. 본 연구에서는 교란된 하천 생태계가 회복하는 과정을 서로 다른 특성의 수목 간 공간적 인접성을 통해 설명하였다. 공간 점 패턴 분석 (spatial point pattern analysis) 결과, 새로 발생한 수목과 홍수 이전부터 존재하였던 수목은 서로 공간적으로 군집하는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 보다 세밀한 분석을 통해 새로 발생한 수목은 기존 수목 중 회복한 수목보다 회복되지 않은 수목과 더 강하게 군집한다는 사실이 밝혀졌으며, 이를 통해 촉진적 (facilitative) 상호작용 속에 가려진 경쟁적 (competitive) 상호작용을 포착할 수 있었다. 기존 수목에 의한 서식처 개선 효과는 새로 발생한 수목의 생장에 긍정적인 역할을 했을 것이나, "살아 있는" 기존 수목은 새로 발생한 수목과 한정된 자원을 두고 경쟁했을 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 결과는 전지구적인 기후변화의 맥락 속에서 국내 하천 생태계가 마주할 강하고 빈번한 자연적 교란에 대비할 새로운 지식을 제공할 수 있다. 전통적으로 학계에서는 환경 요인을 설명 변수로 하는 생태 모델링이 널리 사용되고 있지만, 수목 개체들 간 상대적 위치 관계로 대표될 수 있는 개체 간 상호작용 역시 생태계 변화를 설명하는 데 있어서 중요한 요인이라고 할 수 있다.

추세분석을 통한 미래 MP3 플레이어의 감성디자인 방향 모색 (A Direction of Emotion Design for Future MP3 Players by Trend Analysis)

  • 지속적으로 변화하는 소비자의 선호를 바탕으로 디자인하는 것은 매우 중요하다. 따라서 디자인이 출시될 미래시점에서 소비자가 선호할 수 있는 디자인 컨셉을 결정할 수 있는 방법이 필요하다. 이를 위한 다양한 방법들이 있을 수 있겠지만 추세분석(trend analysis)은 이를 충족시킬 수 있는 가장 적절한 방법 중의 하나이다. 본 연구는 추세분석을 통하여 미래 소비자의 감성에 부합하는 MP3 플레이어 디자인 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 연구방법과 내용으로서 먼저, 소비자의 지속적인 선호의 변화를 파악할 수 있고 이를 바탕으로 미래시점에서 소비자가 선호할 수 있는 디자인 방향을 제시할 수 있는 추세분석방법을 모색하였다. 실증연구로서 2000년부터 2007년 7월까지 출시된 MP3 플레이어 228개를 수집하여 디자인의 속성과 그 속성의 수준을 결정하고 SPSS프로그램의 동질성분석을 이용하여 추세분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과 미래의 소비자 역시 감성경험을 중시하는 소비추세가 주류를 이룰 추세이다. 따라서 MP3 플레이어 디자인은 소비자의 감성적 욕구를 충족시키기 위한 디자인 기반으로 작용할 추세이다. 이를 기반으로 MP3 플레이어디자인을 4가지 추세로 나누어 볼 수 있다. 그것은 1. 고가격의 PMP기반 다양한 멀티미디어 기능의 MP3 플레이어디자인 개발 2. 기본기능의 MP3 플레이어디자인 개발 3. 새로운 컨버젼스 제품디자인 개발 4. 플래시 기반 제품디자인 개발이다. 디자이너들이 디자인의 추세결과를 바탕으로 미래 디자인을 추론할 수 있다면 경쟁에서 경쟁우위를 점할 수 있는 확률이 높다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 점에서 본 연구는 유용하다고 할 수 있다.

  • Recently, the role of IT service providers has been enlarged from managing a single function or system to reconstructing entire information management processes in new ways to contribute to shareholder value across the enterprise. This movement toward extensive and complex outsourcing agreements has been driven by the assumption that outsourcing information technology functions is a reliable approach to maximizing resource productivity. Hiring external IT service providers to manage part or all of its information-related services helps a firm focus on its core business and provides better services to its clients, thus obtaining sustainable competitive advantage. This practice of focusing on the strategic aspect of outsourcing is referred to as strategic sourcing where the focus is capability sourcing, not procurement. Given the importance of the strategic outsourcing, however, to our knowledge, there is little empirical research on the relationship between the strategic outsourcing orientation and outsourcing performance. Moreover, there is little research on the factor that makes the strategic outsourcing effective. This study is designed to investigate the relationship between strategic IT outsourcing orientation and IT outsourcing performance and the process through which strategic IT outsourcing orientation influences outsourcing performance, Based on the framework of strategic orientation-performance and core competence based management, this study first identifies core competency orientation as a proper strategic orientation pertinent to IT outsourcing and IT outsourcing process management capability as the mediator to affect IT outsourcing performance. The proposed research model is then tested with a sample of 200 firms. The findings of this study may contribute to the literature in two ways. First, it draws on the strategic orientation - performance framework in developing its research model so that it can provide a new perspective to the well studied phenomena. This perspective allows practitioners and researchers to look at outsourcing from an angle that emphasizes the strategic decision making to outsource its IT functions. Second, by separating the concept of strategic orientation and outsourcing process management capability, this study provides practices with insight into how the strategic orientation can work effectively to achieve an expected result. In addition, the current study provides a basis for future studies that examine the factors affecting IT outsourcing performance with more controllable factors such as IT outsourcing process management capability rather than external hard-to-control factors including trust and relationship management. This study investigates the major factors that determine IT outsourcing success. Based on strategic orientation and core competency theories, we develop the proposed research model to investigate the relationship between core competency orientation and IT outsourcing performance and the mediating role of IT outsourcing process management capability on IT outsourcing performance. The model consists of two independent variables (core-competency-orientation and IT outsourcing process management capability), and two dependent variables (outsourced task complexity and IT outsourcing performance). Comprehensive data collection was conducted through an outsourcing association. The survey data were analyzed using a structural analysis method. IT outsourcing process management capability was found to mediate the effect of core competency orientation on both outsourced task complexity and IT outsourcing performance. Further analysis and findings are discussed.

미국 대학과 기업간 연계의 발전 과정 (Development of Interactions between Higher Education Institutions and Companies in the U.S.)

  • 지식이 경쟁력을 결정짓는 주요 원천으로 강조되고 있으며, 고등 교육을 필요로 하는 지식 인력에 대한 수요가 크게 늘어난 지식 기반 사회에서, 대학 교육과 경제 발전의 관계가 점차 강조되고 있다. 대학들은 최근 변화의 시대에 직면하여 교육 기능과 더불어 대학 연구의 상품화나 기업가 정신의 고양에 힘쓰고 있는 한편, 기업들은 빠르게 변화하고 점차 복잡해지는 기술 환경 속에서 외부와의 연계를 추구하고 있다. 이에 따라 대학들은 기업들의 혁신 과정에 공헌함으로써 국가와 지역 경제 발전에 이바지하고 있다. 본 연구는 발전된 대학 교육 시스템과 효율적으로 운영되는 대학과 기업간 연계를 보여주고 있는 미국의 사례를 역사적으로 고찰하여 우리나라의 대학과 기업간 연계에 대한 연구에 시사점을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 미국 대학의 종류와 특성을 살피고, 대학과 기업간 연계의 발전 과정을 역사적으로 분석하며, 미국이 세계적인 경쟁 우위를 가지고 있는 정보 기술 분야를 사례로 산업의 특성과 대학과 기업간 연계의 발전 과정을 정리한다. 끝으로 복잡하고 다층적인 대학과 기업간 연계 관계의 주요 유형들을 정리하여 대학과 기업 연계에 대한 이후 연구에 개념적 틀을 제시한다.

  • With globalization and the execution of a self-governing system, the government-oriented system has been transformed into a city-oriented system. The importance of the competitive power of a city is thus increasing. Because of this each region is trying to develop its own differentiated image and to create branding using unique historical and cultural resources and, as one of the strategies for this, public spaces have been developed. For a public space to be used as a means to promote the attractiveness of a city, creates a local image and works as a medium to help a community of people realize a pleasant life. Therefore, in this study, I am clarified theoretically the meaning of placeness and form factors. and study realization methods in the space around the public space case. The results of the study are as following. In the modern space, Place is to be understood as a recognition and experience. Therefore rather than spatial structure physical fixed, recognition through the human experience is an important feature of the place-making, it is necessary to access in spatial planning based on this point of view. The factors of the placeness formation are physical environment factors, activity elements of the human, the meaning factors. and these elements form the placeness through via interaction. Therefore, even space implementation of the place, it is necessary to grasp the elements of each, as well as the physical aspects in particular, planning programmatic and various functions must be parallel strategically. There is a need to implement a space device that can be carried out in space activities.

중소 금형업체 협업지원을 위한 핵심 제조역량 평가 모델 개발 (Assessment Model of Core Manufacturability to Promote Collaboration of Small and Medium Sized Mold Companies)

  • Up-to-date enlargement of the scale of global outsourcing has brought about the need of systematic and efficient tools for competitive supplier discovery located in various areas. A web-based business supporting system, referred to as Excellent Manufacturer Scouting System(EMSS), is being developed to serve core business functions including supplier discovery, negotiation, and collaboration between overseas buyers and domestic suppliers throughout the process of supply chain formation. In this paper, a supplier assessment model devoted to evaluation of core manufacturing capability is proposed by targeting small and medium sized mold companies. The assessment model will eventually be loaded to EMSS. Even if many well-designed models for supplier assessment have been presented in literature, most of them limit the evaluation criteria to somewhat general information on a given supplier, such as cost, delivery time, quality, rather than core manufacturing capability itself. This research is pioneering work on supplier assessment from the viewpoint of manufacturability. The proposed assessment model classifies assessment indices into six criteria, which have been drawn by intensive survey and analysis of the mold industry. Actual assessment indices for each criterion are also presented along with an exemplary evaluation result.
