Designing of Assessment System using Multiple Devices based on NCS Professional Basic

  • In this paper, all elements used in integrated infrastructure for job competency assessments of NCS (National Competency Standards) will be merged into assessment system using multiple devices(ASMD). NCS is a systematic approach on required abilities (knowledge, technical expertise, attitude) to process the tasks in the fields by industry. Competiveness of ASMD design is that no limitation of time and space using personal devices like PC, laptop, smartphone, and tablet, while seeing screen, hearing, touching, speaking, and writing. Question type can be limitless to express the situation. To lead technologies and market for domestic and oversea assessment system, supporting on multiple devices with connectivity that will eliminate limitation of time and space is the key feature for design competitiveness. Design of integrated assessment system proposed in this paper can be applied to NCS, fundamental competency evaluation, online test, job aptitude test, and foreign language test which involve listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Compared with existing evaluation method, reduction of investment and operating cost will be greater. Along with development of ICT technologies, the next generation of integrated assessment system will be quickly changed to ASMD, which already involves connected service between internet and smart devices.

  • 본 논문의 목적은 교과기반 학습성취평가 시스템 구현을 위한 교과 데이터 모델 및 학습 성취도 산출 알고리즘 개발이다. 현재 대학 교육의 방향인 역량기반 교육을 위해서는 교과기반 학습성취 평가가 필수적이지만 기존 연구들은 교육학적 관점으로서 컴퓨터 시스템 관점의 해결책이 매우 부족하다. 본 논문에서는 코스맵 데이터 구조 분석을 통해 계층 구조의 학습성과 모델, 학습모듈 및 학습활동 모델, 학습성과와 학습활동 연계 매트릭스 모델 및 자동화된 성취도 산출 및 성취수준 평가를 위한 성취도 계산 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이를 통해 교과기반 학습성취 평가 시스템을 개발할 수 있으며 시스템 활용을 통해 학습자의 역량 성취를 효과적으로 평가할 수 있다. 제안된 모델과 알고리즘의 평가를 위해 실제 운영중인 자바프로그래밍 교과목에 적용하였으며 이를 통해 교과기반 학습성과 성취평가 시스템 구현의 핵심요소로 활용할 수 있음을 확인하였다. 향후 연구는 학습성과 성취도 산출을 기반으로 적응형 학습 피드백과 개인화된 학습 추천 알고리즘 개발 및 시스템 구현이다.

예비교사의 과정중심 평가 역량 개발을 위한 프로젝트기반 학습의 활용 (Using Project-Based Learning for the Development of Process-Fortified Assessment Competencies of Pre-service Teachers)

  • 국가수준 교육과정의 기본적 접근방법이 내용중심에서 역량중심으로 전환됨에 따라 과정중심 평가의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 이에 따라 교사의 평가자로서의 역할 역시 과정중심 평가에 초점이 맞추어지고 있으며, 임용을 앞둔 예비교사들에게도 과정중심 평가의 역량을 개발하는 것은 중시되고 있다. 본 연구는 예비교사의 과정중심 평가 역량개발을 지원하기 위하여 교원양성대학 교과목을 개선하여 운영하고 그 효과를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 C 교육대학교에서 운영되는 한 교과목을 PBL 중심으로 재구성하여 운영하고 과정중심 평가의 관점에서 예비 초등교사에게 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 수강생들의 프로젝트 결과물, 관찰노트, 수강생 반응 등의 자료 분석을 통해 PBL 활동 경험이 예비 초등교사들의 과정중심 평가에 대한 인식과 이해에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 점을 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 PBL과 같이 과정중심 평가관이 반영된 학습 경험을 제공하는 것이 예비교사의 과정중심 평가 역량 개발에 중요한 역할을 할 수 있다는 점을 시사해준다. 본 연구의 결과는 예비교사의 과정중심 평가역량 개발을 위한 교원양성대학의 교육과정과 수업의 혁신을 위한 구체적 방법을 제시해줄 수 있을 것이다.

성과중심교육에서 학생평가 (Assessment in Outcome-Based Education)

  • Assessment plays a vital role in outcome-based education (OBE). This article describes the characteristics of assessment and appropriate assessment instruments for measuring learning outcomes in OBE. Assessment in OBE needs to be formative, continuous, and frequent. Miller's pyramid is useful for selecting the appropriate assessment instruments to reflect a specific outcome; different methods can be applied to evaluate one outcome. Outcomes and competency mean that student must 'do'; therefore, performance tests are emphasized. Qualitative methods as well as quantitative methods are used to evaluate the outcomes of areas such as professionalism or ethics. An absolute criterion-based standard is usually applied to decide whether students pass or fail, but the decision should be based on gathering value judgments and reaching consensus. Active participation of faculty members and students in assessment is crucial.

국가직무능력표준을 활용한 안전직무의 BSC 인사평가 시스템 개발 (A Study on Development of Balanced ScoreCard Personnel Assessment Using of Safety Duty Using National Competency Standards)

  • If examining utilization by completion of National Competency Standards development, efforts are made so as to organize curriculum matched to education or training and perform subjects based on competence unit educationally in specialized high schools, colleges and university. However, National Competency Standards is insignificantly utilized in enterprises and on the spot due to characteristics of occupation type and diversity of process. This thesis intended to measures of safety efficiency improvement of final enterprise through the human resources assessment system of National Competency Standards based enterprise. Therefore, various methodologies were introduced and results of analysis by Balanced ScoreCard method were suggested for policy measures improving final safety efficiency. The results of this analysis are expected to make contribution to improving the effectiveness of the government's industrial safety and health policies through the establishment of systematic safety and health systems according to the risk level of individual business.

부조종사 자격증명(MPL; Multi-Crew Pilot License) 비행교관 훈련프로그램에 관한 연구 (A Study of Flight Instructor Training Specification for MPL (Multi-Crew Pilot License) in Korea)

  • Since the MPL (Multi-Crew Pilot License) Program was introduced in Korea in 2009, there has not been a single pilot licensed under the MPL Program. To successfully implement the MPL Program in Korea, it is necessary for an Approved Training Organization to develop the MPL Flight Instructor Training Program and foster excellent MPL Flight Instructors. However, there are no rules or guidelines regarding the MPL Flight Instructor Training Program in Korea. This study suggests the Training Specification for the MPL Flight Instructor, including the training syllabus, training and assessment methods. The MPL Flight Instructor Training Program should be composed of minimum 14-hour academic and practical training, which includes the concept of Competency-Based Training, CRM, Competency, Behavior Indicator and Assessment. To be qualified for the MPL Flight Instructor, candidates need to successfully complete the course and pass the practical test. In order to maintain the qualification, MPL Flight Instructors should comply to recency and recurrent training requirements.

예비교사의 TPACK 역량 측정 설문과 수행평가 결과의 차이 (The difference of measurement results between the questionnaire and performance assessment of Pre-service teacher's TPACK competency)

  • 이 연구에서는 예비 교사들이 갖고 있는 TPACK의 실천적 역량을 측정하기 위하여 기존의 연구들에서 사용한 TPACK 측정 설문지와 수행평가를 통해 드러난 TPACK 역량의 관계를 비교하였다. 이를 위하여 이 연구에서는 예비 교사의 TPACK 설문지를 개발하였다. 또한 '달과 천체의 변화'에 관련된 수행평가 과제 및 면담을 통해 예비 교사의 TPACK 역량의 실제를 분석하였다. 설문 분석 결과에서는 예비교사들의 PCK와 TPK이 높게 나타났고, 상대적으로 TCK와 TPACK이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 설문에서는 TPK가 낮은 것으로 나타난 예비교사의 수행평가를 분석한 결과 TPK가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반대로 설문에서는 TPK가 높은 것으로 나타난 예비교사의 수행평가를 분석한 결과 TPK는 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 설문에서 TCK가 낮은 것으로 나타난 예비교사의 수행평가를 분석한 결과, 반대로 TCK가 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 반대로 설문에서 TCK가 높은 것으로 나타난 예비교사의 수행평가를 분석한 결과, 실제 TCK 역량은 낮은 것으로 나타났다. TPACK가 설문에서는 높게 나타난 경우에도 수행평가의 실제 결과를 통해서는 TPACK가 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 TPACK 측정 도구들이 실행 역량 보다는 자기효능감을 측정하는 것임을 확인하였다.

3학년 학생의 역량수준과 관련 요소 (Level of Third-Year Students' Competency and Correlating Curricular Factors)

  • The purpose of this study was to assess third-year medical students' competency for development or revision of the undergraduate curriculum and assessments. One hundred and twenty-seven third-year medical students at the Pusan National University were included in the study. After third- and fourth-year students took a common written examination, clinical performance examination (CPX), and objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) with common items as a summative assessment, the third-year students' competency was compared with 132 forth-year students' results. The correlation of the written examination and CPX/OSCE was analysed, and the summative results were compared with the grade point average (GPA) through the second year, CPX/ OSCE in the second year, and GPA in the clerkship. On the written examination, the third-year students' mean score was lower than the fourth-year students' by over 11 points, whereas the gap in the CPX/OSCE was 4 points and there was no difference in the OSCE. There was a moderate correlation between the written examination and the CPX/OSCE scores (R=0.371, p<0.01). The written examination was highly correlated with GPA through the second year, which mainly evaluated medical knowledge (R=0.771, p<0.01). A relatively high correlation was observed between CPX/OSCE scores and GPA in the clerkship (R=0.641, p<0.01). The summative CPX/ OSCE scores showed a moderate correlation with formative CPX/OSCE scores in the second year (R=0.464, p< 0.01). The third-year students' score was quite low on the written examination and slightly low on the CPX/OSCE compared to that of the fourth-year students. The written examination and CPX/OSCE cannot replace each other and should be combined with other methods of evaluation to measure competency. Early OSCE and workplacebased assessment should be useful in the early assessment of clinical skills competency.

공학계열 대학생들의 교과목 성적과 K-CESA 핵심역량의 관계 분석 (The Relationship between Course Grades and the K-CESA Core Competencies for Engineering Students)

  • With the emphasis on core competencies, the University of Seoul has exerted efforts to reflect the importance of core competencies in university curricula. The main assessment tool used in Korea is the Korea Collegiate Essential Skills Assessment (K-CESA), developed by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET). This study examined whether core competencies measured using K-CESA are valid as a tool for assessing educational achievements among college students, and analyzed the correlation between K-CESA scores and course grades. The analysis was performed on approximately 204 engineering students at the University of Seoul. According to the correlation analysis between core competencies and courses, MSC courses were shown to be related to the resource and through information use competency and higher order thinking competency. Through the Analysis of Variance, students in the accreditation programs and students living in urban area showed higher competency scores. In the multiple regression, it was shown that Accreditation and MSC courses grades were the important variables to predict the competency of the students. Based on these findings, we confirmed that the K-CESA tool has a certain level of correlation with academic performance and that it functions as one of several ways to evaluate the program outcomes of engineering education accreditation.

역량모델에 기초한 직업훈련기관장의 훈련요구분석 (Training Needs Assessment Based on the CEO Competency Model of Vocational Training Institutes)

  • 본 연구는 직업능력개발 분야의 중추적인 역할을 수행하는 직훈기관의 최고관리자 교육프로그램을 개발하기 위해서 교육요구분석 차원에서 직훈기관장의 역량을 추출하여 역량모델을 개발할 목적으로 수행되었다. 조사대상은 전국의 공공직훈기관, 민간직훈기관, 학원 및 기타 평생교육기관의 최고관리자로서, 주요조사 내용은 교육요구조사와 역량모델에 관한 이론적 고찰, 직훈기관장의 직무분석, 잠정적으로 정리한 역량에 대한 설문문항에 대한 중요도, 숙달수준, 학습 희망도를 통해 역량의 우선순위의 파악과 이에 기초한 교육요구의 우선순위를 산정하였다. 연구방법은 설문조사, FGI, 현장조사 등의 연구방법이 적용되었다. 교육역량모델에 기반한 교육훈련요구 분석결과 그 우선순위가 높은 역량은 '인재확보능력', '시장변화 및 교육생의 요구파악', '문제해결능력', '리더십 스킬', '창의적 사고', '조직역량분석 및 진단', '정보수집 분석능력' 등이다.
