This study try to establish the method on the archiving of a village experimentally. For this study three standpoints were investigated. We discriminate between the theory and practice on general archives management and village archiving. We should grasp that the practice of village archiving is a means to the movement of village community reconstruction. And we clear up the point that village archiving head for the community ownership and the communication. This study clarified what were the constituent units in a village and what were the archives that were producted by the constituent units in a village. It is helpful for the development of the strategy on a village to identify concretely the objects of village archiving. The main body who lead the village archiving is not archivist only. But he should be a man who serve his community and have the competency to deal with archives professionally simultaneously. The suggestion of village archiving in this study has the meaning that Korean archivists should get over the model of elite so that seek after new way of the going down to the archiving fields. village, community, the ordinance for the reconstruct of the beautiful village community, activistic archivist, archiving movement going down to the village fields, archiving by participation of community.

한국과학기술정보원(KISTI) 바이오인포매틱스센터(CCBB)에서는 생명과학 관련 주제별 Open Archiving Community의 구성과 운영을 통한 연구자들 간의 정보교환을 유도하고, 더불어 논문뿐만 아니라 세미나, 연구노트 등의 최신의 연구 정보를 공유할 수 있도록 생명과학 Open Archiving Community 시스템을 구축하여 운영하려고 한다. 본 community에서 수집, 구축, 서비스할 점보의 종류는 아티클, 학위논문 연구보고서, 발표자료, 연구노트, 실험데이터, 전자자료 등이다. 그러므로, 전 세계적으로 많이 활용되고 있는 Dublin-core, Marc21, MODS를 비교 분석하여 MODS 메타데이터를 기준으로 아티클과 같은 문헌정보 뿐만 아니라 실험결과, 연구노트 등의 비문헌정보도 유연성 있게 적용할 수 있는 생명과학 관련 주제별 Open Archiving Community를 위한 메타데이터 스키마를 설계하였다.

The sinking of the Sewol ferry has not only induced an intense conflict in Korean society but also been developed into a sociopolitical issue. This paper divides this accident into five stages and examines the records produced at each stage. The Sewolho Citizen Archive Network and the Ansan Citizen Record Committee began the archiving of Sewol and created the 416 Archives. The records of Sewol are social and political records that hold envidencial and historical value. They can be used to rebuild and recover the wounded community as well as to investigate the truth behind the case. Accident archiving collects materials different to the ones which public archiving does, allowing people to view the incident from a different standpoint. It is also characterized as an archiving of the current issue, social movement and regional community. Accident archiving is a method which ensures credibility and impartiality in memory. In light of Sewol archives, accident archiving can contribute to form mature democracy.

Folklife archival science(folklife: Folklore is generally used in Engish-speaking countries but it has a strong meaning as remnants of former times. That's why I am useing the term-folklife instead of folklore in this paper. I think folklife is more appropriate term for expressing studies on daily life culture and also my intention to unite the both word in this paper) is a new academic movement, I propose, which is intended on convergence of advantage of folklife and archival science. In other words, taking advantage of the two branches of study(folklife, archival science), it becomes a practical studies which systematically organize records, preservations and application on living culture in any community. It demonstrate deeply on archiving and archive and It conducts a probe into records, preservations and applications. It is a method of technical study in order to record communities like village, rural society and modern city. In the mean time, there is no well defined and established methodology for archival science and for folk-area or community archiving. And therefore, It needs a research methodology in a folklife. In the other hand, there is a lack of a theoretical basis, methodological strategy and clear vision over folklife and field survey or method of survey. Therefore, converging advatage of the two studies(folklife, archival science), we can combine professionalism of community archiving and methodological strategy together.

Twenty years after the Records Managemen Act was first enacted, the archiving environment has changed a lot. The advent of the electronic records environment, the importance of presidential records management, and the importance of managing private records have been a direct background to the 2006 revision of the Records Management Act. The field of electronic records management and the field of presidential records management have challenges and limitations, but have been steadily developing. However, in the private sector, archiving has not changed significantly compared to the voluntary activity. Now the maeul-community is calling for a response from the records management community. A society develops when the private and public sectors cooperate with each other and form healthy check-ups. In the archiving field, it must also become active through cooperation.

JeungPyeong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do is one of the smallest local governments in Korea with the administrative division of 1-eup and 1-myun and the population of 37,000. Nevertheless, people in JeungPyeong have consistently created 'the history of challenge and struggle' as for instance, they stood together tightly for raising its status to JeungPyeong-gun. The JeungPyeong-gun Archives and Records Management Office likewise has made 'small but great' successes similar to what was achieved in JeungPyeung-gun through several experimental challenges done recently, resulting in obtaining a budget for local archiving projects and adding a new position of records manager. This report briefly introduces projects implemented by the office including community archiving, landscape archiving, the exhibition of records, and applying for public fund competitions, and explains the implications. It attempts to share successful experiences of the office and to suggest ideas that help more other archives and records management offices create challenging experiments.

Life science is one of the most important fields which have direct influence on human life. Many domestic life scientists in the industries, educational organizations and research institutes have been producing important results in a variety of forms such as papers, research notes, presentation materials, books and teaching materials. Open Archiving Community has been constructed in order to share and exchange research information related to life science between researchers. The domestic life scientists can acquire valuable information through the community quickly and efficiently. In this study, the community system has been designed and implemented to provide free access to all data including metadata registry of the bibliographic information on life science and research results accumulated by researchers of their own accord. The community system also has been designed and implemented based on Web 2.0 and provides users with BBS by subjects.

The eight types of Korean bibliographic information of biology and life science are included in PubMed that serves universal medical bibliographic information. Other domestic bibliographic information are served on its own format at different organizations. To fulfill the CCBB homepage user's request that it is necessary that integration of bibliographic service for quick acquisition of research information, we intends to construct metadata registry and service about bibliographic information of biology and life science. This paper describes the design and implementation of bibliographic information network prototype for biology and life science that can be used to share latest research result, seminar presentation data, research note, and research paper etc as well as to exchange information between researchers through Open Archiving Community.

Profound changes have occurred in the archival landscape since the advent of community archives and the global spread of archival art. This trend can be seen in Korea where a noticeable growth in archival arts and local community archives can be observed. This study explores how archival arts in Korea function when they are specifically intended to play a role in local community archiving. For this purpose, we analyzed the 'Gyeonggi archive_Now (2018)' and 'Seongbuk Documenta (2016-2018)' exhibitions, which were both exemplary cases of archival arts exhibited in connection with local community archives. Based on the analysis of the Gyeonggi Archive, which was aimed at strengthening the local identity of Gyeonggi Province, as well as the analysis of Seongbuk Documenta, which focused on the loss of place that resulted from redevelopment projects in the area of Seongbuk-gu, this study identifies the multiple roles of artists in archiving work. This study also reveals the variety of archiving works that exist and illuminates the value that such initiatives have in constructing local identity and reviving a sense of place. In particular, this research shows that archival art has the potential to empower local community archives while also providing opportunities to boost artistic creation. Our research concludes by highlighting the necessity of promoting the right environment and conditions that are required for archival arts if they are to play a role not only in keeping records and memories but also in producing further knowledge and discourse in a local community.

This essay focused on mapping out the next archiving model during 15 years. This metaphorical 'JINGU PROJECT' is titled from Shinto relation in Japan rebuilding every 20 years. We need some kinds of self sustainable growth archiving model. It means that it's time to say about our archiving experiences in field for archiving technics and knowledges. We should know the fact that a few thousands archivists have been acting ih fields. Since 1999, we have tried to build up the best practices in public offices. So far, So good. However, we need another wing for better flying from now on. I believe in the power of silences in field because they will speak up their voices.
