대화와 협상교육의 내용과 사회정치적 함의 (The contents of the Education for Conversation and Negotiation, and its Sociopolitical Implication)

  • 한국사회의 갈등지수는 상당히 높은 편이다. 이해관계가 맞서는 갈등상황에서 반대 입장에 대한 관용이 부족하여 문제를 평화적으로 해결하지 못하는 미성숙한 민주주의의 모습을 보여주고 있다. 극단적인 갈등으로 인한 사회적 비용을 줄이고 민주적으로 상대방과 소통하고 문제에 접근하는 교양 있는 시민을 육성하기 위해 협의적 가치를 내재한 의사소통교육이 중요하다. 본고는 대학 교양교육 차원에서 이루어지고 있는 <대화와 협상> 수업사례를 통해 의사소통교육의 필요성과 사회정치적 차원의 함의를 고찰해 보았다. 현재 대학사회에서 늘어나고 있는 말하기와 관련한 교양수업은 대체로 논리적이고 비판적인 사고방식을 키워주는데 초점이 맞춰져 있다. <대화와 협상> 교육은 이러한 사고능력을 기반으로 상대의 입장을 고려하는 정서적 측면과 갈등 사안을 협력적 관점에서 해결하려는 마인드를 키워준다는 점에서 그 의의가 있음을 살펴보았다. 이러한 의사소통 교육과정은 교수자가 아니라 학생이 중심이 되어 주체적으로 참여하며 문제를 해결하는 의사소통기술과 방법을 익힌다는 점에서 반복적인 실습과 구체적인 피드백을 통한 다양한 훈련 프로그램을 전제로 한다. 궁극적으로 대화와 협상 교육을 통해 학생들은 타자의 입장을 존중하며 갈등을 합리적으로 해결해 가는 성숙한 시민의식과 공동체의 구성원으로서 협의과정을 통해 문제를 해결하려는 자세와 책임의식을 명확히 할 수 있을 것이다.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of standardized patient simulation on nursing students' communication skills, problem-solving skills, critical thinking dispositions, and clinical competency. Methods: A one-group pretest-posttest design was used. Data were collected from a convenient sample of 47 junior nursing students at W University. Scenarios to train SP and checklists to evaluate the students''competence were developed by our research team. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive analysis t-test, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ using SPSS WIN 21.0 Program. Results: The simulation practicum using a standardized patient was conducted based on four steps, namely, selections of scenario modules, standard patient training, implementation, and evaluation. The differences between the pre and post-test scores of problem-solving skills(t=-2.94, p=.005) and clinical competency(t=-2.84, p=.007) were statistically significant. But communication skill(t=-.32, p=.747) and critical thinking(t=-.68, p=.498) was not different in group. Conclusion: Standardized patient simulation in nursing education may be useful the improvement of problem-solving skills and clinical competency.

일 대학 간호대학생의 시뮬레이션 실습 교육 효과 (The Effect of Simulation Practical Education of Nursing Students at University)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 간호대학생에게 적용된 시뮬레이션 실습교육이 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고 성향, 전문직관에 미치는 효과를 확인하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 단일군 사전사후 설계(One group pre-post test design)유사 실험설계 연구이며, 일개 대학교 간호학과 4학년 89명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료수집은 2019년 9월부터 12월까지 였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.1 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도와 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, paired t-test, Pearson correlation을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 시뮬레이션 실습교육 후 대상자의 의사소통능력(t=3.41, p<.001), 비판적 사고 성향(t=2.75, p<.007), 전문직관은 통계적으로 유의하게 증가한 것으로 나타났다(t=2.56, p<.012). 시뮬레이션 실습 후 의사소통능력, 비판적 사고 성향, 전문직관은 각각 양의 상관관계가 있었음이 나타났다.

Capstone Design Projects based on Invention Education

  • This paper deals with the introduction of capstone design projects based on invention education in Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Korea Maritime University. This course is referred to as Creative Engineering Design for spring semester of 4th-year undergraduates. The course focuses on creative thinking and cooperative mind to students by learning engineering design skills, realizing their idea through design project and recognizing practicality of their systems. To improve creative thinking of students, intellectual property (IP) education is very helpful. If engineering students take training program in IP, it will be very beneficial for CEOs to manage intellectual capital in many industries and to ensure competition power in their business. This study suggested that students take interest in connecting their ideas with inventions through invention education reinforcing an invention and a patent exercise. It is expected that this study may help to develop new curriculum of capstone design project including IP education in many universities.

SBAR 이용 팀 기반 시뮬레이션 학습이 간호학생의 비판적사고, 의사소통명확성에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Team Based Simulation Learning Using SBAR on Critical Thinking and Communication Clarity of Nursing Students)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 비판적 사고, 의사소통명확성에 대한 간호학생의 SBAR 이용 팀 기반 시뮬레이션 교육 효과를 연구한 비동등성 대조군 전 후 설계의 유사 실험 연구 이다. 본 연구는 경상북도 P 시에 소재한 일개 간호학과 학생으로 '기본간호학 이론 및 실습' 교과목을 수강한 학생 69(실험군 33명, 대조군 36명)명을 대상으로 2017년 10월부터 2017년 11월까지 자료수집과 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구에서는 윤진(2004)의 비판적사고 측정도구, 조혜진(2013)의 의사소통 명확성도구를 활용하여 설문 조사를 실시 하였다. 통계 분석은 SPSS 23.0을 이용하여 두 군의 동질성 검증은 Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, t-test, 효과분석은 ANCOVA로 수행되었다. 자료분석 결과는 SBAR 이용 팀 기반 시뮬레이션 교육에 참여한 그룹이 비판적사고(F=11.91, p<.001)와 의사소통명확성(F=4.40, p=.040)에서 대조군에 비해 유의하게 효과를 나타내었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 간호학생들을 위한 SBAR 이용 팀 기반 시뮬레이션 학습은 '기본간호학 이론 및 실습' 수업시 효과적이며 간호학생들을 위한 교수법으로 권장 될 수 있음을 나타내었다.

Guided Instruction of Introducing Computational Thinking to Non-Computer Science Education Major Pre-Service Teachers

  • Since 'teaching coding' or 'programming' classes for computational thinking (CT) education in K-12 are renowned around the world, a pre-service teachers' readiness for integrating CT into their teaching subjects is important due to the fact that CT is considered to be another 'R' from algoRitm for 21st century literacy, in addition to the traditional 3R (Reading, Writhing, and Arithmetic) [2] and CT roles to other disciplines. With this rationale, we designed a guided instruction based CT course for pre-service teachers. We show the effectiveness of the program with respect to the teachers' attitude toward combining CT into their teaching subjects, and mindset changes of learning computing connected with the career development of the teacher themselves. The research focused on the instructional methodology of teaching programing for non-Computer Science Education (CSE) majors who are not familiar with computer science for alleviating the cognitive load of first exposure to programming course under the CT concepts.

  • From a lot of survey, it is obvious that most students in universities lose their desire for learning just after entering their universities. In order to solve this problem, we developed a novel educational tool for the students, named "The thinking method based on matrix diagram". If they try hard with the help of this tool, they will be able to learn how to design and manage their splendid university lives in addition to get the basic knowledge and to improve their basic abilities. It is also found that they can earn the shared knowledge mutually after learning a common method, which supports to make them to improve their communication abilities drastically.

초등수학의 수학적 의사소통에 관한 분석 (An Analysis of Mathematical Communication in Elementary Mathematics)

  • 지식 정보화 사회에서는 미래를 살아가야 할 학생들에게 합리적으로 사고하고 이를 표현하는 수학적 의사소통 능력을 기르는 것이 필요하다. 2006개정 교육과정의 초등수학에서 수학적 의사소통과 관련하여 교수 학습방법으로 3가지의 내용을 구체적으로 제시하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 개정교육과정의 교수 학습방법에서 제시한 3가지 사항을 중심으로 초등 수학과 교육과정에서 제시한 수학적 표현에 대한 조사와 개정교육과정 발표 이후인 2007년도부터 현재까지 수학적 의사소통 관련 주요 논문들에 나타난 내용의 특징을 조사 분석하여 앞으로 효과적인 수학적 의사소통지도에 활용하도록 하였다.

Innovative Approaches to Training Specialists in Higher Education Institutions in the Conditions of Distance Learning

  • Information and communication technologies used in the social sphere are born due to the development of computer technologies. The main task of the distance learning process in higher education institutions is not to provide information, but to teach how to obtain and use it. The purpose of the article: to identify innovative approaches in the training of specialists in higher education institutions in the context of distance learning. Various innovative approaches to organizing the work of students of higher educational institutions in the context of distance learning are considered. Based on the conducted research, it is concluded that each of the approaches described by us outlines the study of the phenomenon of professional training of a specialist in the condition of distance learning. All the described approaches significantly contribute to the improvement of professional training of specialists, encourage students to self-improvement, professional development and enrich their professional competence in modern conditions. The emergence and spread of innovative technologies means not only a change in the activity itself and its inherent means and mechanisms of its implementation, but also a significant restructuring of goals, value orientations, specific knowledge, skills and abilities. Therefore, the current stage of the development of civilization, scientific and technological progress requires the emergence of such specialists who would have broad humanitarian thinking, would have good psychological training, would be able to build professional activities according to laws that take into account the relationship between economic productivity and creativity, as well as the desire of the individual for constant renewal, self-realization. Only such qualities will help you master the specifics of innovative technologies well. We see the prospects in the study of innovative approaches to training specialists in higher education institutions in the condition of distance learning in foreign countries.

An Exploratory Study of the Effects of Mobile Phone Dependency on Maritime Safety

  • Safety at sea continues to be an important topic for research. The factors that contribute to safety issues are often complex and unclear. Lack of non-technical skills in such areas as communication, teamworking, situational awareness, decision making etc. are well documented as directly affecting safety in high risk work settings such as on board merchant vessels. Competence in non-technical skills can be affected by various habits and circumstances that influence a worker and result in either positive thinking and behaviour or negative thinking and behaviour. Negative thinking can cause stress, anger, frustration; loneliness etc. and this can possibly result in behaviour or actions that undermine the safety of crew and ship. Factors that may contribute to these negative thoughts and behaviours are many and varied and this paper will be looking at one aspect: mobile phone use. In the Republic of Korea, dependency on mobile phones is uniquely high. Maritime students are also susceptible to such dependency and this paper will demonstrate that the symptoms associated with mobile phone addiction and dependency, and in particular the symptoms of withdrawal, are important factors that need to be mitigated in order to improve safety at sea. Although the benefits of mobile phones are many it will be suggested that over-reliance, dependency or addiction can result in negative thinking or behaviour that may directly or indirectly contribute to the factors that cause incidents and accidents at sea. It will be suggested that the most appropriate method of dealing with this problem is twofold: firstly, through training at the educational level and secondly, by encouraging the shipping industry and government to invest more into providing seafarers with better access to the communication methods that they are used to on shore in order to improve work conditions.
