  • In 3rd-generation mobile communication systems providing packet service, optimal scheduling algorithms we needed to increase service efficiency. In this paper, three scheduling algorithms (SP, EDF, and RPQ) which have been studied in the field of computer networks are applied with transmit power constraint to an interference-limited CDMA system, proving to be efficient.

  • In this paper, performance evaluation of HNCP home network is using stochastic activity network models is proposed. HNCP is a home network protocol for controling and monitoring home appliances using power line communication. a CSMA/CA with packet drop method is used in HNCP MAC layer. Using the proposed stochastic activity network models. performances of HNCP home networks with error-free environment and error environment are evaluated.

  • 위성망은 정보의 유출이 쉬운 전송로를 가질 뿐만 아니라 다자간에 이루어지는 통신망이므로 정보보호가 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 위성망의 정보 보호모델을 제안하고, 관련된 보호서비스를 제시한다. 본 위성망 보호모델에서는 OSI 참조모델 계층 2에 해당하는 MAC와 LLC부계층들 사이에 SDE 부계층을 두어 데이타의 안전한 교환이 이루어지도록 하며, SDE 부계층에서 제공하는 보호서비스들로는 데이타 비밀보장, 비접속 데이타 무결성, 데이타 발신처 확인, 그리고 접근제어 서비스이다.

  • The time slot scheduling problem for a satellite cluster with an arbitrary number of satellite is considered, which is one of the most interesting problems in the satellite communication scheduling area. This problem is known to be NP-complete, and several heuristic algorithms have been proposed. In this paper, a new efficient algorithm is suggested, which has lower computational complexity and provides much better solution than other existing algorithms.

  • 피코셀룰라망은 셀 반경이 수십 미터 내외인 피코셀로 구성된다. 작은 셀은 이동 호스트의 작은 핸드오프를 초대한다. 이동 사용자에게 중단없는 연결 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 새로운 핸드오프 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 멀티캐스트 연결에 기초한 핸드오프 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법(SGMH: SubGroup Multicast-based Handoff)은 핸드오프 처리 지연뿐만 아니라 버퍼 오버헤드를 최소화한다. 분석과 시뮬레이션을 통해 블록킹 확률에 대해 성능 평가를 했다.

  • In this paper, the advantages of buffer insertion access method in comparison with other access methods to local area networks are analyzed. Sending and Receiving protocols in a data link layer are designed by a software method, We have derived both qeueing delays and the response time for the performance model that is proposed in this paper, and using the computer simulation, analyzed the performance for the proposed model in terms of the throughput rate- response time characteristrics. Based on the proposed model, the hardware design is implemented.

  • Turbo codes that have attracted a great attention in recent years are applied to wireless communication networks that require variable quality of service and transmit over unknown fading channel. A MAP decoder is the constituent of turbo decoder. In this paper, we propose a high speed architecture of MAP decoder and a new normalization technique, In conclusion, this paper presents the efficient implementation of serial block MAP decoder for turbo codes.

An Efficient Two-Step Paging Strategy Using Base Station Paging Agents in Mobile Communication Networks

  • An effective paging strategy is essential for improving the utility of radio channels. This paper proposes a two-step paging strategy which involves using base station paging agents to page a single cell at each paging. An analytical model is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed strategy. The proposed strategy is compared with the traditional simultaneous paging strategy and a recent proposal using the base station paging agents. The numerical results showed that the proposed strategy proficiently reduces paging cost on radio channels compared with other paging strategies.

Open-source hyperparameter optimization software can be an important step forward in improving the performance of machine learning algorithms. In this paper, we review open-source hyperparameter optimization softwares.
