The questionnaires for the communication and the conflict between the adolescents and the parents and the self-concept inventory were used. The data were analyzed by regression analysis, t-test, paired-t-test, one way ANOVA and Duncan analysis. First, mother was better than father in the communication with the adolescent. The conflicts with the parents were as shown below in order; the homework, school record, sibling relationship, playing computer games, etc.. The adolescents' self-concept was above the median. Second, the adolescents' conflicts and communications with parents were negatively correlated. Third, there was a difference in the adolescents' self-concept according to the conflict with the parents. Fourth, the adolescents' self-identity was influenced by the communication with the parents. The purpose of this study is to obtain basic data needed to understand school-age children's parent-child communication style, stress coping behaviors, and child behavior problems. The subject of this study were 362 primary school children (the fourth and the sixth graders) and their mothers in "D" Metropolitan City, Korea. The research tools included standardized parent-child communication style scale (Min,l991), stress coping behaviors scale (Min,1998), and child behavior problems scale (Hun,l996). The data were analyzed using statistical techniques such as Mean, standard deviation, frequency, percentile, t-test, F-test, pearson's correlational analysis, stepwise regression analysis. In the relationship between child perceived parent-child communication style and stress coping behaviors, the children who make open communication with their parents demonstrate high problem-solving, support-seeking coping behavior. The children with closed communication with their parents have high hope expectation, revenge coping behavior. In the relationship between child perceived parent-child communication style and child behavior problem, the children making more closed communication with their parents show more behavior problems. The children with more closed communication with their mothers have more hyperactive behaviors, aggressive behaviors, and immature behaviors, and the children who are making more closed communication retain more anxious behaviors and withdrawn behaviors. In the relationship between child stress coping behaviors and behavior problems, the more problem-solving and support-seeking coping behaviors the children possess, the less problem behaviors they demonstrate. The more hope expectation, revenge coping behavior the children possess, the more problem behaviors they show. With the results above, we can find out that parent-child communication style has an effect on stress coping behavior, and parent-child communication style and stress coping behavior have an influence on child behavior problem.
The objective of this study is to verify the effects among communication between child-caring teachers and parents, teacher's burn-out and efficacy. An object of the study was totally 165 child-caring teachers, and the questionnaires survey results were used for statistical analysis by using questionnaires for survey constructed by Likert 5 point scale as a measuring scale. Collected data was statistically analyzed with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 statistical program, and the statistical significance was verified with a significant level of 5%. The main results were withdrawn as follows. First, the communication between child-caring teachers and parents has a negatively significant effect on the child-caring teacher's burn-out. Second, the child-caring teacher's burn-out has a negatively significant effect on child-caring teacher's efficacy. Third, the communication between child-caring teachers and parents has a positively significant effect on child-caring teacher's efficacy. Fourth, the child-caring teacher's burn-out has a significant mediation effect between the communication and the teacher's efficacy. These results implies the importance of the communication between child-caring teachers and parents in order to decrease teacher's burn-out which is negative factor for teacher's efficacy.
Objective: This study examined the mediating effects of child care teachers' self-esteem in the relationship between teachers' difficulties communicating with parents and teacher-child interactions. Methods: A total of 450 child care teachers answered questionnaires based on three research variables. Data were analyzed using SEM. Results: First, child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents had a direct effect on teacher-child interactions. That is, child care teachers who experienced more difficulties communicating with parents showed more negative teacher-child interactions. Second, child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents had an indirect effect on teacher-child interactions through teachers' self-esteem. In other words, when child care teachers experienced more difficulties communicating with parents, their self-esteem was lower, which led to increased negative teacher-child interactions. Conclusion/Implications: This study highlights the importance of effective communication between child care teachers and parents. In addition, these findings contribute to a better understanding of the mechanism by which child care teachers' difficulties communicating with parents influence teacher-child interactions.

Methods: Data were collected between May 26 and June 3, 2009 using self-report questionnaires from 148 pairs of children and their parents. The children were enrolled in 4th to 6th grades. The questionnaires included the Parental Bonding Instrument (PBI), Parent-Child Communication (PCC) Scale, and Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PedsQL). The data were analyzed using the SPSS WIN 17.0 program. Results: The Quality of Life (QOL) score for the children was significantly higher among children reporting higher parental bonding attitude (mother r=.38, father r=.34) and parent-child communication (mother r=.43, father r=.36). Results of multiple regression showed that factors significantly associated with QOL were academic achievement, caregiver available after school, parent-child communication, school satisfaction, relationship with peers, and birth order among siblings. Conclusion: Positive relationships and good communication with parents and satisfaction with school life were important factors associated with quality of life in school age children.

Results: First, there was no statistically significant difference on child-care teachers' communication difficulties with parents by sociological variables of child-care teachers. Second, there was no statistically significant difference on teachers' job satisfaction by sociological variables of child-care teachers. The purpose of this study is to investigate the child's preference attitude for one parent and to analyze the difference in the four variables(sex, age, birth order and maternal employment) and the factors influencing it. To meet this purpose, three kinds of questionnaire for child (school-age/late adolescence) and his parents were used. The data were obtained through 136 pairs(parents and child) and analyzed by chisquare test and Guttman's lambda. The results of this test are summerized as follows. 1. The majority of children prefer mother to father and especially adolescent daughters prefer mother more than sons. 2. The majority of parents answered that their child would prefer mother to father and the correlation coefficient between mother's answer and fathers is .53. But child's actual preference is no related with parent's awareness of being preferred. 3. The majority of parent's answer were consistent with child's preference but the correlation coefficients are very low from the analysis of factors influencing the child's preference. Therefore parents and child must have more communication, concern and expression of love for mutual consistence.
