XML은 W3C에 제안된 마크업 언어고 HTML의 단순함과 SGML의 복잡함을 극복하여, 웹 상에서 데이터를 표현하고 교환하기 위한 표준으로 등장하고 있다. XML 문서를 질의 처리하기 위한 방법으로 XML 문서 전용 질의 언어가 개발되고 있지만, 데이터의 양이 증가한다면 결국 막대한 양의 데이터를 처리 할 데이터베이스 시스템을 필요하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 XML DTD를 관계형 데이터베이스 시스템 스키마로 변환하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 XML 데이터의 스키마 역할을 하는 DTD의 트리 구조를 생성하여, XML 데이터들의 공통구조와 비공통구조를 추출한 후 관계형 데이터베이스 스키마를 추출하는 기법이다. 추출된 관계형 데이터베이스 스키마는 기존의 방법들에 비해 생성 테이블 수가 적으며, 널(NULL)값의 출현을 감소시킨다. 또한, 제안기법은 XML 데이터를 보다 적은 테이블로 맵핑(mapping)시킴으로써 데이터 검색 시 참조 테이블 수를 감소시킬 수 있으며 질의 처리 시에도 성능 면에서 우수함을 보인다.

최근 스마트폰 어플리케이션 시장은 급속히 성장하고 있고, 사용자들은 향상된 스마트폰의 기능을 이용하여 다양하고도 풍부한 사용 경험을 원하고 있지만 스마트폰 어플리케이션의 개발은 쉬운 작업이 아니다. 각종 스마트폰 센서들을 컨트롤하기 위해서는 각각의 스마트폰 OS에 맞는 네이티브 프로그래밍 언어를 전문적으로 사용할 수 있어야 하며, 더구나 개발 프로세스는 각 스마트폰 OS에 따라 별도의 작업으로 이루어져야만 한다. 웹 공통 API를 이용하는 웹기반의 스마트폰 응용 (일명, '웹앱') 개발 방법은 이와 같은 문제를 해결할 수 있게 해준다. 그것은 웹 언어인 HTML로 인터페이스를 구현하고 자바스크립트로 웹 공통 API를 호출하여 각 스마트폰의 디바이스 API에 접근할 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 웹 공통 API를 이용한 편리하면서도 OS 독립적인 스마트폰 웹앱(WebApp) 개발 방법을 사용하여 스마트폰 전자책 응용을 구현한 경험을 소개한다.

본 연구의 목적은 중학교 "역사" 교과서에 포함된 공통 탐구 과제를 분석하고, 사서교사의 교육정보서비스에 주는 시사점을 알아보는 것이다. 16종의 중학교 "역사" 교과서에 포함된 세계사 영역의 탐구 과제를 조사한 결과 84개의 공통 탐구 과제가 발견되었다. 이를 탐구 절차에 해당하는 정보활용과정을 기준으로 분석한 결과, 대부분의 탐구 과제는 학생들이 개별적으로 교과서에 수록된 사진 자료와 도서(읽기) 자료를 조사한 후에 그 결과를 말하기 형태로 표현하도록 구성되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 특징을 중학교 "도서관과 정보생활" 교육과정에서 지도하는 정보활용과정과 비교하면, 1단계(정보과제 정하기와 정보 요구 파악하기)와 3단계(정보 종합과 표현)의 정보 표현하기를 충족하는 것이다. 따라서 사서교사가 역사 교사의 수업 부담을 줄여주고, 역사 수업에서 학생들의 탐구 활동을 촉진하는데 기여하기 위해서는 정보 해석과 분석하기, 정보 종합 및 조직하기 그리고 정보 활동 평가하기에 대한 교육정보서비스를 제공할 수 있다.

This study was designed to describe the most common and most intense demands of illness in people with cancer in outpatient settings. The sample for this study who were at least 21 years old and had been treated for cancer. They recruited from outpatient setting in Seoul and Kyungsangnam-do. The questionnaire was a Likert type 5 point scale with 55 items on four need categories; informational, physical care emotional care and socioeconomic care. There were significant differences in degree of care need according to gender, religion, marital status, economic status, public insurance status, and the past regimen. In conclusion, emotional needs perceived by patients with cancer and family members were higher than the others. Based upon this result, it is recommended that the research to compare needs between cancer patients who have a same illness and family member are necessary.

In apartment complexes of Korea shared space becomes more and more important since it promotes social relationship among neighbors and also as a ecological point of view. After the Green Building system was introduced in the society, it attracted more attentive as an essential component for sustainable community. Now, it's expected the shared space plan or the community center plan will be a hot issue in the society. Therefore, we could see an aspect of the gradual change related to housing culture in Korea and make a prediction how to develop the shared space as researching domestic leading studies about the 'shared space'. The purpose of this study is to identify the trend of academic achievement as shared spaces. 14 books and 43 studies are searched and each of them are divided into according to the subject. The concept of the shared space was introduced in a holistic moment and the design plans were presented in books in the early 1990's, and total community center it was introduced. The studies are naturally divided into 4 parts as time passed that are characteristics of the block planning in the complex, the needs of the shared space, the actual condition of the using shared space, and the case studies of the shared space. The shared spaces under the structure of the community center are expected to be developed in a more elaborate way to cope with increasingly well-being needs.

Location-based advertising or application has been one of the drivers of third-generation mobile operators' marketing efforts in the past few years. As a result, many studies on location-based marketing or advertising have been proposed for recent several years. However, these approaches have two common shortcomings. First. most of them just suggested the theoretical architectures, which were too abstract to apply it to the real-world cases. Second, many of these approaches only consider service provider (seller) rather than customers (buyers). Thus, the prior approaches fit to the automated sales or advertising rather than the implementation of CRM. To mitigate these limitations, this study presents a novel advertisement recommendation model for mobile users. We call our model MAR-CF (Mobile Advertisement Recommender using Collaborative Filtering). Our proposed model is based on traditional CF algorithm, but we adopt the multi-dimensional personalization model to conventional CF for enabling location-based advertising for mobile users. Thus, MAR-CF is designed to make recommendation results for mobile users by considering location, time, and needs type. To validate the usefulness of our recommendation model. we collect the real-world data for mobile advertisements, and perform an empirical validation. Experimental results show that MAR-CF generates more accurate prediction results than other comparative models.

Tension mask is a part of CRT type devices, which is installed right behind glass-made front panel. Numerous slits on the thin metal sheet enable the electron beams emitted from posterior gun to be focused, resulting in enhanced definition. Flattened and enlarged displays necessitate the imposition of pretension on the masks, in order to improve the robustness of display quality against vibration or impact. High temperature assembly process subsequent to pretensioning, however, degenerates creep resistance of mask material, and common mask may become susceptible to undesirable elongation due to creep. Once tensile stress becomes high enough to induce creep deformation, pretension is substantially loosened. In this study, tension mask assembly is modeled as a combined structure of beams and wire array, and a numerical simulation is attempted for pretensioning followed by high temperature process. Based on a model study, creep occurrence is found to be probable and its adverse influence is quantified. As fur maintaining high tensile force, simply increasing pretension does not seem to be helpful. Instead, the structure of frame needs to be modified somehow, or material for mask needs to be selected properly.

정보시스템 구축 프로젝트의 복잡성과 규모가 점차 커지면서, 프로젝트가 실패하는 경우가 발생한다. 프로젝트의 실패의 원인을 분석해보면 사용자의 프로젝트 이해 부족, 불명확한 요구사항 및 요구사항변경 등으로 소프트웨어 개발 생명주기 중 요구사항 분석 단계에서 대부분의 원인을 찾을 수 있다. 본 논문은 소프트웨어 개발 프로젝트에서 요구분석을 통해 도출된 기능과 변경요구 기능간의 추적 등 개발 생명주기 전체 기간 동안 지속적인 요구사항 변경 관리가 가능하게 하는 도구를 설계하였다. 그리고 프로젝트 관련자들 사이에서 충분한 합의와 협의를 통해 공통의 이해를 구축하는 효과적인 의사소통을 지원하는데 필요한 기능에 대해 논의한다.

Voice is the most common means for communication, but some people have difficulties in generating voice due to their congenital or acquired disorders. Individuals with speech disorders might lose their speaking ability due to hearing impairment, encephalopathy or cerebral palsy accompanied by motor skill impairments, or autism caused by mental problems. However, they have needs for communication, so some of them use various types of AAC (Augmentative & Alternative Communication) devices in order to meet their communication needs. In this paper, a mobile application for literate people having speech disorder was designed and implemented by developing accurate and fast sentence-completion functions for efficient user interaction. From a user study and the previous study on Korean text-based communication for adults having difficulty in speech communication, we identified functionality and usability requirements. Specifically, the user interface with scanning features was designed by considering the users' motor skills in using the touch-screen of a mobile device. Finally, we conducted the usability test for the application. The results of the usability test show that the application is easy to learn and efficient to use in communication with people with speech disorders.

This study examined the programs of public library and the spaces for them in Seoul and Gyunggi area. The examination was performed by making field surveys on 12 sample public libraries and posing user questionnaires on 4 libraries out of the sample. The data from the questionnaire survey were processed and analyzed with SPSS 14.0. The results are as follows: First, according to the arrangement of the furniture, the space usages for the programs in public libraries are divided into four classes, one-way exposure: free of furniture: two-way exposure. The one-way exposure has been the most common though the furniture arrangement varies with the characteristics of a program. Second, language or information technology related programs are the most frequently attended programs in public libraries. Lastly, the space usage for the reading education programs has had the highest level of the user satisfaction measurement while the user satisfaction is lower in those for general culture programs and health care programs.
