Limestone is an important commodity in Philippines. Limestone has numerous uses that range from agricultural applications to building materials to medicines. Many limestone products require rock with specific physical and chemical characteristics. Most limestone is biochemical in origin meaning the calcium carbonate in the stone originated from shelled oceanic creatures. In this paper, we reported the natural sources of limestone, geological formation of limestone and the oyster shell waste in Cebu, Bantayan, Philippines were reported. Due to the mining or quarrying in Cebu, Bantayan, in a limestone area poses the threat of groundwater pollution (since limestone is a porous geologic formation with a high transmissivity). The other environmental issue is oyster shell waste. The oyster shell waste is the major source of limestone. We developed and applied appropriate technologies for the extraction of limestone from oyster shell waste and utilizes as high value added material.

Electricity is the prime commodity in mobile device, e.g. smart phone, PDA, MP3 player and etc. This strict restriction on power consumption requirement of the mobile device puts unique demand in designing hardware and software components of the device. In this paper, we address the issue of minimizing the power consumption in retrieving the continuous media data from the disk drive for real-time playback purpose. Different from the legacy text based data, real-time multimedia playback requires that the storage supplies the data block continuous fashion. This may put immense burden on the power scarce environment since the disk Is required to be active for the entire playback duration. We develop elaborate algorithm which carefully analyzes the power consumption profile of the disk drive and which establishes the data retrieval schedule for the given playback. It computes the amount of data blocks to read, the length of active and standby period. According to our simulation result, the ARM algorithm exhibits superior performance in continuous media retrieval from the aspect of power consumption to legacy playback scheme.

Tar Baby, Toni Morrison's fourth novel re examines the problem that black characters face in negotiatiating a place for themselves within a dominant culture, with respect to their own history and culture. The novel critiques the dominant socio economic and commodifying cultural space from which the black woman seems to have no escape. Jadine is a colonized subject, for as a fashion model she has surrendered to an aesthetics of commodification, and as a student of art history, she has internalized the capitalist ethic of the white culture industry. Though she has ensured her freedom, Morrison's critique of her separation from her family and culture is unmistakable. Interwoven with her narrative is Son's predicament, the stereotype of a black racist and her 'lover'. The novel ends with him at the crossroads of culture, yet signaling his passage to freedom through resistance. The paper arguments how Toni Morrison has envisioned the welfare of African American community by reconstructing the role of new black generation, as represented by Jadine and Son, whose new journey towards their self fulfillment just not only bring their personal freedom but also regenerates African American community by resisting dominant commodifying cultural.

This thesis determines the research framework and scale design of leisure food E-Commerce consumer satisfaction degree by referring to previous theoretical model of customer satisfaction degree, the universal satisfaction evaluation index system, and the characteristics of leisure food E-Commerce in China. In this research, consumers who have bought leisure food online are taken as the research object, data are collected by questionnaires, and exploratory factor method is used to screen valid sample data. Through the Empirical Analysis which includes Descriptive Statistical Analysis, Reliability and Validity Analysis and Structural Equation Modeling, it is concluded that website design, logistics delivery service, commodity quality, and after-sales service are the main service quality on which the Leisure food E-Commerce enterprises should take focus. The service quality has significant positive influences on satisfaction degree. On the other hand consumer satisfaction has a significant positive influence on customer loyalty, which will create more earnings for the Leisure food E-Commerce enterprises.

This paper examines the interactions between financial conditions and business cycles in Mongolia, a small open economy, heavily depending on commodity exports. We construct two financial conditions indexes based on the reduced form IS model and the vector autoregression (VAR) model as surveillance tools to quantify the degree of the financial conditions. We find that real short-term interest rate and real effective exchange rate gap get a higher weight in the FCIs. Both business and financial cycles are often more pronounced in Mongolia, and financial condition is dependent of the financial and monetary policies in place. The analysis of the predictive power of the FCIs for business cycles shows that they have predictive information for the near-term economic activities. FCIs are also helpful in signaling inflation turning points.

This paper contemplates egalitarian ethics and ecumenical consumerism suggesting expansive possibilities of Northern Ireland's sectarian limits towards unlimited spatialities in Robert McLiam Wilson's Belfast novel, Eureka Street. This paper argues that Northern Ireland's (Belfast's) (post)modernity and a social ethics promoting outwardly mediated relationships are a vision for nonidentity Eureka Street espouses against the identity politics of Protestant-Catholic schism. Eureka Street remarkably challenges Northern Irish sectarian politics propelling inwardly unmediated relationships by ethical possibilities of infinitively mediated relationships. In the argument for a postmodern view of the novel, commodity fetishism and consumerism are considered as key to a prospect of emancipation of Northern Ireland from the political fetters of total identity the partisan communities impose on themselves. This paper also demonstrates that a post-national cosmopolitanism Eureka Street envisages embraces a new social solidarity predicated upon socio-political pluralisms against Northern Irish sectarian identities.

The Harmonized System comprises about 5,000 commodity groups; each identified by a six digit code, arranged in a legal and logical structure and is supported by well-defined rules to achieve uniform classification. This study reviews the appropriateness of Korea Customs Service and Tax Tribunal's customs classification decisions concerning the interpretation and application of the Harmonized System for certain ITA goods. Korea Customs Service had classified arbitrary and had not applied in dubio pro reo principle. This paper finds that 57% of Korea Customs Service's classification decisions have erred. Korea government need to take measures to secure uniform interpretation of the HS and its periodic updating in light of developments in technology and changes in trade patterns. This paper suggest to amend customs law and regulation concerning classification committee.

Face Detection is one of the most important aspects of image processing, it considers a time-consuming problem in real-time applications such as surveillance systems, face recognition systems, attendance system and many. At present, commodity hardware is getting more and more heterogeneity in terms of architectures such as GPU and MIC co-processors. Utilizing those co-processors along with the existing traditional CPUs gives the algorithm a better chance to make use of both architectures to achieve faster implementations. This paper presents a hybrid implementation of the face detection based on the local binary pattern (LBP) algorithm that is deployed on both traditional CPU and MIC co-processor to enhance the speed of the LBP algorithm. The experimental results show that the proposed implementation achieved improvement in speed by 3X when compared to a single architecture individually.

In this paper, we codify the objective function that should be optimized by using Genetic Algorithm instead of Heuristic method to solve these problems. So, each bit that constitutes one structure can signify each commodity. Therefore, we can exchange customers without restriction if the traveling distance diminishes among the districts. Furthermore, even though the capacity of a customer's commodities exceeds that of a vehicle, the following vehicle can be allocated. Also, we obtained good result by testing with real data. To be brief, we can effectively allocate innumerable commodities, that have various magnitudes and weight, into restricted capacity of the vehicle by applying genetic algorithm that is useful in solving the problems of optimization.

Cloud Computing is a fast developing domain in computer system architecture which enables dynamically scalable and virtualized resources to its users. Spot Cloud is the next evolutionary step in this field which allows the cloud computing resources to be treated as a market commodity. Cloud computing vendors will now be able to put their un used computational resources for sale using the singular access platform provided by Spot Cloud. Meanwhile customers will be able to buy/sell these resources according to their requirements. This paper analyzes the idea of Spot Cloud and the anticipated impact it will have on Cloud Computing globally. The paper also presents the risks and inherent barriers associated with this idea and how they might hinder the development of Spot Cloud to its full potential.
