  • For a human being's smooth activity, the clean air and comfortable lighting environment are needed. The suitable lighting environment is obtained generally by making it available for being formed the bright situation easy for seeing object and the visually comfortable atmosphere. In this way, even the lighting environment was changed along with economic development. Even a light source was diversified. Thus, several kinds of new light sources such as LED, OLED, PLS, and CNT came to appear. Halogen lamp, which has low efficiency due to high color rendering among lamps of being used now, is being much used yet. However, owing to radiation of UV and IR, there are many limitations to the subject in general exhibition lighting, museum, and art museum. Accordingly, a research was performed on filter that is blocked UV and IR at the same time, by using halogen lamp that is excellent in color rendering and in life.

  • Stretchable textile materials are getting more widely used in clothing industry. Among others are two obvious reasons which make it so desirable to young female customers, i.e., better confort with motion and more closely fitted silhouette. But these two points cannot get along well always. If a manufacturer try hard to make his products too closely fit, then the products are even less comfortable than made of non-stretchable material. On the other hand, if a stretchable garment are developed to be too comfortable with plenty of size tolerance. it cannot attract customers who are looking for something closely fit. So the study was aimed to investigate appropriate size tolerances.

  • An inflow of daylight to the room offers comfortable view environment, psychological and physical security to people in the room and there are merits such as a work efficiency and energy saving. But, it has many problems as an excessive direct sunlight, cooling and heating. We can expect to have energy saving effect for illumination with comfortable view environment creation through control on height of roller shade. This study will be a used a fundamental approach to control on height of roller shade to changing daylight.

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp spatial effects of colours in interior design. The visual feeling in the 1/10 living room scale models that are different in the colour combination of ceilings, walls and floors is judged using a semantic scale of the fifteen adjectives. The major findings are as follows; 1) As a result of factor analysis, three dimensions, "evaluation", "activity" and "warmness" are extracted. Dimension 1, "evaluation", is most greatly affected by the chroma and hue of the room colour, dimension 2, "activity", by the hue and value, by the difference in hue and value of ceilings, walls and floors, dimensions 3, "warmness", by mainly the hue of the rooms. 2) Concerning the spatial effects of colour, the subjects felt higher vlaue with relevance to the hue of GY, Y, low chroma and high value. The room colours other than walls is felt more comfortable in similar colour, especially hue and value.re comfortable in similar colour, especially hue and value.

  • The Research of local governments in addressing climate change policy formulation and enforcement role in the formulation of local governments, and faithful to the role of local governments when addressing climate change to policy issues and is aimed to provide direction. The role of local governments' Star Statement by looking at best practices, through which more realistic and effective climate change response measures would be able to set aside. Local party organizations in addressing climate change and understanding the role and establishment and enforcement of the policy must be balanced community and residents more comfortable and be able to provide a comfortable life.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the train seat dimensions suitable for keeping comfortable postures. We designed a special experimental seat of which the lengths and angles are adjustable separately. Seat dimensions keeping subjects comfortable were measured for the restricted posture and the extended posture. The significant differences of dimensions fur two postures were analyzed, and the differences were found on backrest-seatpan angles, length of backrest and so on. The dimension differences fur the levels of height and weight were also found out. Some dimensions were correlated with subjects' height and weight..

  • The aim of this study is to find out comfortable combinations of layered system for outdoor activities through water vapor permeability. Layering fabrics is an effective way of controlling water transport properties in fabric systems for outdoor activities and analysis of these systems may be useful for designing comfortable clothing. Seven fabrics were chosen for the experiments: two fabrics for base layer, two for the middle layer and three for the shell layer. A total of 12 different layered systems, which are all possible combinations were established using selected fabrics. The water vapor permeability was measured using JIS L1099 under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions. It was found that layered system was working together as a whole having influence on each layer, though every layer offers varying degree of water vapor permeability. Furthermore, it was also found that an optimal combination of the three layered system does exist although the combination may differ according to the ways. The shell layer is the greatest effect of water vapor permeability under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions within layered system.

  • We researched the comfort degree of 8 bodily parts while high school students carry out 9 different motions common to them. We observed high school students to study active effection when they are wearing Saenghwal Hanboks as a school uniform. As a result of this study, the highest degrees of comfort were recorded at standing position, walking, and upright sitting position with one's waist keeping 90 degree. On the other hand, the lowest degrees of comfort were experienced when they bend forward 45 degree and 90 degree each, and also when arms were folded across the chest. Furthermore, students reported that their buttocks, waist, and knees were comfortable during observation period, but that their backs, shoulders, and arm hole were uncomfortable throughout. In general, girls felt more comfortable than boys did, while they were wearing Saenghwal Hanbok as a school uniform.

  • To develop the comfortable pesticid-proof clothes, wearing trials for 7 types of existing pesticide-proof clothes were done measuring skin temperature, pulse rate, humidity and temperature of inside clothing and subjective feeling such as thermal, humid and comfort sensations at $28{\pm}1^{\circ}C$, $75{\pm}5\%$ RH, 2.3 m/sec wind speed. (Experiment 1). On the base of above results, wearing trials of 6 types of new pesticide-proof clothes and 3 types of pesticide-proof clothes as control group were done with the same method as experiment 1. (Experiment 2). The results obtained were as follows 1. Heat stress was lower in newly designed pesticide-proof clothes with mesh running shirts. 2. For the body temperature regulation, it was confirmed that 6 types of new pesticide-proof clothes made of microporous fabric were better than the others.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop the better fitting and more comfortable sleeve pattern for women's jacket, as the first step. Five types of existent sleeve pattern were collected, made and worn compared with the sensory evaluations method. The main results of this study were as follows 1. Sensory evaluation for appearance; According to the result of Duncan's multiple range test among the five sleeve patterns, TOJAIUN method sleeve was most satisfactory, and the next was the JUNGMYUNGJA method sleeve followed by NASAN, MOONWHA, ESMOD method sleeve. 2. Sensory evaluation for comfort; The result of Duncan's multiple range test showed that the ESMOD method sleeve was comfortable, and the next was the Japanese MOONWHA method sleeve followd by JUNGMYUNGJA, TOJAIVN, NASAN method sleeve. The result of 3-way ANOVA, main effect for 3 independent variables and interaction for pattern x part, posturers part showed significant difference.
