Moisture transfer characteristics of high emotional garments are important to evaluate wear comfort. Wicking and drying measurement methods are also critical for perspiration absorption and quick dry fabric made of high functional fibers. In this study, the wicking and drying properties of high emotional fabrics made from hybrid composite yarns using CoolMax, Tencel, Bamboo staple fibers and PP. PET CoolMax filaments were also measured and analyzed according to various measuring methods. The wicking property of hybrid composite yarn fabrics by Bireck method was mostly influenced by the structure of hybrid yarns than the absorption rate of constituent fibers; however, both the hygroscopicity of fibers and the composite yarn structure affected the wicking property of the fabrics in the drop method. Concerning drying properties, the KSK 0815B method measuring distilled moisture weight was more relevant to explain the drying characteristics of hybrid yarn fabrics than the KSK 0815A method measuring the time to drying. This study revealed that the drying properties of hybrid yarn fabrics were influenced by the hygroscopicity of constituent fibers, wicking properties of constituent yarns and structure of composite yarns.

This article is a continuing report about a development of disposable diapers for the elderly in need. In previous report, the first prototypes of disposable diapers in two different categories have been developed. One was a panty type and the other was a pad type. These prototypes were results of property test and wear test of existing disposable diapers in each categories. Yet, in order to develop useable products, the second property and wear tests using the first prototype diapers were carried out. Considering the resets of the second tests, enhancements to the first prototypes were made to refine the second prototypes. The panty type diaper were altered to be longer to prevent evacuation from leaking and fit better. The pad type diapers were altered to reduce thickness for comfort and wearing appearance when get dressed. Ultimately a lot more disposable diapers will be required in future. Resulting suggestions are as follows. Anthropometric data around hip area of elderly in both sexes have to be collected to give meaningful information to diaper manufacturers, so that they can manufacture for different sizes and different sexes. Also we suggests that diapers for specific disease such as diabetics have to be designed accordingly.

This study investigated the store switching behavior of fashion stores targeting college students. A random sample of college students completed a questionnaire that contained measurements of store property, relationship quality, switching intent of store, preference of on/offline store, purchase of brand/non-brand product and monthly clothing expenses. The factors extracted as switching behavior of on/offline fashion store are store property, relationship quality and switching intent of store. Dimensions of store switching behavior in online shopping mall is revealed to be composed of diversity/ easy to search, store reliability, home page layout, sales promotion, reliability, commitment and switching intent of store. Also those of offline store is revealed to be composed of store comfort/salespeople service, product diversity, store location, product price, reliability, commitment and switching intent of store. The significant differences were found between store switching behavior of college students by preference of on/offline store and purchase of national brand/non brand. It is expected that this results can be used as a basic material for further study and setting up the fashion retailing strategies in fashion store for selling non brand products.

This paper concerns on developing a multi-purpose test device for measuring mechanical properties of shoes. The device was modified from a commercial robot manipulator, with which impact, bending, and pronation tests were suggested to evaluate performances of shoes. From several experiments, the developed device could produce repetitive and consistent results corresponding to the different material of shoes. In the shoe industry, it is expected that the device could contribute to developing a better shoe for comfort of costumers.

This study is to organize the frame of measuring inventory for housing quality related to mental health in foreign literature reviews. In the first step, many housing quality contents or items are extracted from empirical studies, including housing environment quality and mental health. In the next step, extracted contents and items are classified by space scope (house and neighborhood unit) and WHO housing properties (safety & security, health & sanitation, efficiency/convenience, comfort/amenity). Almost all housing properties follow the WHO standard, but some properties, sustainability and economic characteristics, do not follow the standard. These reflect on current Korean housing environment. They are energy saving and environment friendly effort, property value and economic burden, identity expression, and school district. So they need to be added to the Korean housing quality measurement related to mental health.

Safety-Shoes are developed for heavy industry. Nowadays with the development of industry, it is increase on all of industry field. Safety-Shoes are to be classified into using intention. And it's developed not only protect from danger but also more comfort wearing. When wear a safety shoes, in cold weather, serious disease could be occur such as frostbitten and so on. In the study replaces steel toe-cap by polymer. Moreover add keeping warm, light weighting, chemical-proof. So we develop plastic Toe-Cap using plastic technology. And result of material property tess considered plastic to be using light work Safety Shoes Toe-Cap.

This study is carried out for obtaining the basic materials for presentation of creation and desirable management of urban roadside trees through analyse the existence effect of trees on people who operate th commercial areas along the streets. Roadside tree and green areas are recognized comfort space in addition to simple planting area. Therefore various trees and flowering plants should be introduced in addition to roadside facilities for convenience. Planted roadside trees should be maintained. We will propose an method that residents plant and manage the trees and flowering plants on the two lane of one way road. However main lines more than four lane of one way have more public property beside the residents space. Therefore these should be maintained mainly by related government agencies.

The styling of automobile wheels and their effect on vehicle appearance has increased in importance in recent years. The wheel designer has been given the task of insuring that a wheel design meets its engineering objectives without affecting the styling theme. The wheel and tire system is considered as a vehicle component whose dynamic modal information of the tire/wheel system are employed in the modal synthesis model of the vehicle. The vibration characteristics of a automobile wheel play an important role to judge a ride comfort and quality for a automobile. In this paper, the vibration characteristics of a Al-alloy and steel wheel for automobile are studied. Natural frequency, damping and mode shape are determined experimentally by frequency response function method. Results show that wheel material property, size and design are parameter for shift of natural frequency and damping.

The main purpose of the study were to investigate a selection motive of clothing and feeling of wearing of Korean junior, high school & university students. The results were as follows; 1. For underwear, the body appearance and hygienical aspect were shown as important factors in a selection motive of clothing. And the property matter and hygienical aspect were shown as important factors in the feeling of wearing. 2. For outwear, a functionality and the psychological aspect were shown as important factors in a selection motive of clothing. And a exercise and psychological aspect were shown as important factors in the feeling of wearing. 3. For pants, the functionality was shown as an important factor in a selection motive of clothing and the exercise aspect was shown as an important factors in the feeling of wearing. For skirt. the psychological aspect was shown as an important factor in a selection motive of clothing and feeling of wearing. 4. The hygienical aspect was shown as an important factor in a selection motive and the feeling of wearing of clothing for comfort.

This study surveys the thermal property and air permeability to the weight reduction rate of PET fabrics. For this purpose, 12 kinds of satin and 18 kinds of plain weave fabrics are prepared with change of the physical properties such as weft yarn count, t.p.m. and density. The weight reduction rate was 0%, 12%, 25% and 30%. The warm/cool feeling(Qmax), thermal insulating value(T.I.V.) and thermal conductivity(K) were measured by KES-F7 System and discussed in relation with the weight reduction rate, weft yarn linear density, t.p.m., weft density of fabric and weave structure.
