Objective: The objective of this study was to investigate the effects of Schroth's three-dimensional exercises in combination with respiratory muscle exercise (SERME) on Cobb's angle and functional movement screen (FMS). Design: Randomized controlled trial. Methods: Fifteen subjects with scoliosis were randomly assigned to two groups. Eight subjects were assigned to the experimental group and seven subjects were assigned to the control group. The experimental group underwent SERME using SpiroTiger (Idiag, Switzerland), while the control group performed only the Schroth's three-dimensional exercises (SE). Both groups performed exercises for one hour per day, three times a week for eight weeks. Cobb's angle, pulmonary function (forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume at one second, and peak expiratory flow) and FMS were measured before and after the experiment. Results: After intervention, the SERME group showed a significant difference in Cobb's angle, FMS scores, and pulmonary function as compared to before intervention (p<0.05). In the SE group, there was a statistically significant difference in Cobb's angle, pulmonary function, and FMS scores compared to before intervention (p<0.05). The SERME group showed a significant difference in Cobb's angle and peak expiratory flow in pulmonary function compared to the SE group (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results suggest that SERME could be a more effective intervention for improvement of the Cobb's angle and pulmonary function for scoliosis patients.

Objectives : We would like to study what is the most appropriate "feature" to effectively perform authorship attribution of the text of Traditional East Asian Medicine Methods : The authorship attribution performance of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) was compared by cross validation, depending on whether the function words or content words, single word or collocations, and IDF weights were applied or not, using 'Variorum of the Nanjing' as an experimental Corpus. Results : When using the combination of 'function words/uni-bigram/TF', the performance was best with accuracy of 0.732, and the combination of 'content words/unigram/TFIDF' showed the lowest accuracy of 0.351. Conclusions : This shows the following facts from the authorship attribution of the text of East Asian traditional medicine. First, function words play an important role in comparison to content words. Second, collocations was relatively important in content words, but single words have more important meanings in function words. Third, unlike general text analysis, IDF weighting resulted in worse performance.

This study aimed at the improvement of the conventional methods of VE Function Analysis, the most important phase of VE process, through Quality Function Development. The use of Function Requirement Coefficients in Quality Function Development makes the Function Development more objective, and it was found that VE techniques, when used in combination with QC techniques. Improve the value of product considerably.

Linear combination of weighted order statistic(LWOS) filters, which is an extension of stack filters, can represent any Boolean function(BF) or its extension. Which is called the extended BF(EBF). In this paper, we present a procedure for finding an LWOS filter of the simplest type from LWOS filters which are equivalent to a given BF or EBF. In addition, a property that is useful for implementing an LWOS filter is derived and an algorithm for LWOS filtering is presented.

In this paper, a combination problem of controllers which are the same type of $H_{\infty}$ controllers designed with different weighting functions. This approach can remove the difficulty in the selection of the weighting functions. As a sub-controller, the Youla type of $H_{\infty}$ controller is used. In the $H_{\infty}$ controller, Youla parameterization is used to minimize $H_{\infty}$ norm of mixed sensitivity function by using polynomial approach. Computer simulation results show the robustness improvement and the performance improvement.

In this study we examined the potential for the synergistic augmentation of the activity of inflammatory mouse peritoneal macrophages by stimulation with RGAP combined with IFN-$\gamma$. The moderate augmentative effect induced by preincubation with RGAP was observed in the production of IL-1, IL-6 and NO but not TNF-$\alpha$. In addition, IFN-$\gamma$ had a low activating effect. Following preincubation with both RGAP A and IFN-$\gamma$, a marked enhancement of secretory activity and tumoricidal activity was noted in mouse peritoneal macrophages. Treatment of peritoneal macrophage with combination increased the generation of IL-1, IL-6, TNF-$\alpha$ and NO, whereas the production of reactive oxygen species were not altered. These results demonstrate the synergistic effects on macrophage function of RGAP in combination with IFN-$\gamma$ and suggest that the ability of IFN-$\gamma$ to prime macrophages to produce secretory molecules in response to RGAP may have implications for immunotherapy with this combination.

In this study, the properties such as color, dye uptake and antibacterial function were examined through the application of combination dyeing and mixed dyeing with extracts from Humulus japonicus(hwansam) and the pruned branches of Prunus persica(peach) tree. In terms of dye uptake and surface color changes subject to the kind of mordants, methods and mixing ratio of dye, it was found that fabrics dyed by the pre-mordanting method with $CuSO_4$ showed the red green yellow group colors, which were not seen in fabrics dyed with hwansam only. Color fastness was found strong at grade 4-5 with 96.3% of UV protection ratio. While the fastness to light was as fair as grade 3, it showed an excellent result of 99.9% bacteria reduction rate against Staphylococcus aureus with fair 58% deodorization rate and 21.2% antibacterial rate against Klebsiella pneumoniae. As stated above, the combination and mixed dyeing resulted in the meaningful outcomes with regard to color variations, dye uptake, color fastness and functional properties.

본 논문에서는 수리가 가능한 시스템에 대하여 혼합보증이 종료된 이후의 교체모형과 예방보전모형을 고려하는데, 만약 보증기간이 종료된 이후에 시스템에 고장이 발생하면 최소수리를 수행한다. 최적의 교체정책과 최적의 예방보전정책을 결정하기 위한 기준으로는 기대비용과 기대비가동시간에 근거한 총밸류함수를 사용한다. 그리고 시스템의 고장시간이 와이블분포를 할 때 수치적 예를 통해서 제안된 최적의 교체정책 및 예방보전정책을 자세히 설명하고자 한다.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to investigate changes of gastric vagal nerve activity and pyloric valve function after execution of combination treatments of both electroacupuncture at Zusanli(ST36) and manual acupuncture at other acupoints in patient with functional dyspepsia. Methods : Bowel sounds of 49 patients (18 male, 31 female) were recorded and their % of bowel sound (%BS) and ratio of dominant frequency (DF) were analyzed. Postprandial %BS was used to indicate the gastric vagal activity after eating. Ratio of postprandial/fasting dominant frequency was used to present the degree of pyloric valve function. According to values of %BS and DF ratio, each patient was classified into normal or abnormal (<6 %BS, hypoactivity: <1 DF ratio, dysfunction) group. For 2 weeks, patients received a treatment consisting of both electroacupuncture stimulation at Zusanli (ST36) and acupuncture at other meridian points. Variation of parameters shifting normal to abnormal or abnormal to normal was observed, and total cure rate was calculated. Results : Total cure rate of %BS was 16%, and that of DF was 37%. Patients who improved to normal value from abnormal or aggravated to abnormal level showed both significant difference in both vagal nerve hypoactivity and pyloric valve dysfunction, respectively. Conclusions : Analysis of bowel sound might be useful to evaluate both gastric vagal nerve activity and pyloric valve function. Combination effects of Zusanli (ST36) electroacupuncture and manual acupuncture of other acupoints showed a bidirectional effect in which their activity and function were in general improved. sometimes from aggravated to abnormal level.
