The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of metal chloride infiltration treatment on color and strength changes of the yttria-stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals (Y-TZP). Fifty disc specimens were prepared with a Y-TZP powder (ZPEX; Tosoh, Japan). Thirty different metal chloride solutions containing 0.03~0.08 wt% chromium and 0.03~0.07 wt% terbium ions were prepared. Presintered Y-TZP specimens were soaked in metal chloride coloring liquids for 3 minutes and sintered in air at $1,450^{\circ}C$ for 2 hours. The color of the specimens was measured with spectrophotometer and color difference (${\Delta}E^*$) was obtained based on the CIE $L^*$, $a^*$, $b^*$ color coordinate values. To evaluate the effect of metal chloride infiltration strength changes, the biaxial flexural test was performed at crosshead speed 0.5 mm/min. Colors of the sintered Y-TZP showed the colors of Vita shade guide A1, A2 and A3 with the infiltration of chromium and terbium chloride solutions. Density of the sintered Y-TZP increased by the infiltration of chromium and terbium chloride solutions. Bi-axial flexural strength of the sintered Y-TZP did not show statistically significant differences by the infiltration of chromium and terbium chloride solutions (p>0.05). Chromium and terbium chloride did not affect the crystal phase of zirconia, and all specimens showed tetragonal phase. Accordingly, this study suggests that chromium and terbium chlorides can make colored zirconia while adding in a liquid form. The color of colored zirconia differ from that of vita shade guide but it can use all ceramic restoration as substructure in dental clinic.
Even though concrete is the most important material for building structures, its intrinsic gray color degrades urban esthetics. In order to improve this problem, coloring methods of mixing pigment in concrete batch and painting the surface of concrete surface have been tried. However, applications of the coloring methods in construction field are difficult due to high cost and low durability. Recently, acid stain agent is emerging as a new coloring method for concrete. It is able to apply a remarkably thin colored layer on a concrete surface from chemical reaction between acid and alkaline solutions. This study has examined the changes and variations of the surface layer of mortar specimen from chemical reaction of acid stained agents. The colors were changed into natural irregular stains according to aging. After the staining, no shape change was found from visible inspections. Microstructure of the colored surface applied with acid stained agent was much rougher than that of original mortar. When the colored layer was compared to original surface, crystals of hydrate such as $Ca(OH)_2$ and C-S-H gel were observed. Surface hardness was same or slightly higher in the colored layer. The value of pH was reduced by approximately 10%, weight contents of elements such as Ca, Si, and Al were low. In the chemical composition of the colored layer, the non-cement based elements of Mn, Cr, and Cu increased. Also, Fe and alkali elements of K and Na increased.

The cotton contains various impurities such as protein, wax, pectins, coloring matter, even though cotton has been a major source of pure cellulose. The purification processes have been commonly applied to obtain the pure cellulose. However the excessive purification treatments could lead to the damage in the cellulose structure which could result in the degradation of cellulose and the limited application of cotton cellulose. In this study, the changes in cellulose structural properties such as crystallinity and DP(degree of polymerization) by the various conditions of the purification processes were investigated. The less toxic agents such as hydrogen peroxide and sodium silicate were applied for the purification treatment in this study. The increase in the process times, the temperature and the applied amount of chemical agents resulted in the more purified cellulose. The DP of cotton cellulose was increased at the first weak conditions by the reduction of small molecules such as pectin, wax, and so on. Especially the 2 % addition amount of $H_2O_2$ with $Na_2SiO_3$ resulted in the higher value in the DP and the brightness compared to the 1.5 % addition amount of $H_2O_2$. However, the 4 % addition amount of $H_2O_2$ with $Na_2SiO_3$ showed the decreased value because of excessive treatment. In case of the changes in the crystallinity (Gjk), the highest value of the crystallinity was obtained by the 2% addition amount of $H_2O_2$ on the cotton cellulose, which showed similar with the change in the DP.
We performed the scientific analysis through composition analysis, micro-structure investigation, melting point and hardness test to the glass beads excavated at Naesanri in Gosung. Through this investigation, we could examine closely the characterization of raw materials and manufacture technique As a result of micro-structure investigation of glass beads, it appeared that the bubbles in glass beads have remained. Coloring agents of yellow glass bead was remained to the shape of inclusion. And on observing the transparent solid particle, we can know that these do not melt the raw materials because of low melting temperature of a crucible. The result of composition analysis of all glass beads using ICP, these were classified as $Na_2O_2$-$SiO_2$ type of glass. Also, these added to $AI_2O_3$ to improve the durability. The value of Vickers hardness of glass beads appeared the HV 490-530. The HV 1,440 of the transparent solid particle was much more than that of inner glass bead. This means that raw materials do not melt because of a low melting temperature of a crucible. The result of melting temperature analysis of glass beads using DSC/TGA, it was measured about $1,250^{\circ}C$.
This study was conducted to investigate the attitude of dietitians on meat products and consumption of meat products in meal service of elementary school. Eight hundred and forty two questionnaires collected from each district of the country were statistically analyzed. Dietitians showed preference of ham and packed meat to other meat products. Dietitians had a good image on meat product regarding it as a good source of protein, imported food and diversely used food for cooking. Whereas 50% and 25.8% of dietitians concerned about the high content of preservative and sodium, respectively. More than 96% of dietitians suggested the food processing company to decrease the addition of preservatives, coloring agents, color formers and sodium. Fifty nine percent of dietitians responded they would increase the consumption of meat product if it is processed to food with low sodium, low cholesterol, low fat and no persavatives. Dietitians used ham for cooking once or twice a month. The reason they used the meat product for meal service was the preference of students and readiness of meat product for cooking. The dietitian's favorite cooking method was roasting ham or sausage with vegetable. Dietitians responded the first thing they checked for purchasing meat product was the date of processing and the term of validity.
The objective of this study was to investigate the antioxidant activities and anthocyanin profiles in the anthocyanin rich fraction (ARFAM) of Aronia melanocarpa, which are considered functional substances and are available as food coloring agents in Korea. Anthocyanins were identified by reversed-phase C18 column chromatography and HPLC-DAD-ESI/MS analysis. The antioxidative activity of the acidic ethanol extract (AME) and the anthocyanin-rich fraction (ARFAM) was determined by scavenging of the diphenylpicrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical, the hydroxy radical, and the superoxide anion in addition to reducing power using a commercial antioxidant as a reference.
A distributed constraint satisfaction problem (distributed CSP) is a constraint satisfaction problem(CSP) in which variables and constraints are distributed among multiple automated agents. ACSP is a problem to find a consistent assignment of values to variables. Even though the definition of a CSP is very simple, a surprisingly wide variety of AI problems can be formalized as CSPs. Similarly, various application problems in DAI (Distributed AI) that are concerned with finding a consistent combination of agent actions can be formalized as distributed CAPs. In recent years, many new backtracking algorithms for solving distributed CSPs have been proposed. But most of all, they have common drawbacks that the algorithm assumes the priority of agents is static. In this thesis, we establish a basic algorithm for solving distributed CSPs called dynamic priority search algorithm that is more efficient than common backtracking algorithms in which the priority order is static. In this algorithm, agents act asynchronously and concurrently based on their local knowledge without any global control, and have a flexible organization, in which the hierarchical order is changed dynamically, while the completeness of the algorithm is guaranteed. And we showed that the dynamic priority search algorithm can solve various problems, such as the distributed 200-queens problem, the distributed graph-coloring problem that common backtracking algorithm fails to solve within a reasonable amount of time. The experimental results on example problems show that this algorithm is by far more efficient than the backtracking algorithm, in which the priority order is static. The priority order represents a hierarchy of agent authority, i.e., the priority of decision-making. Therefore, these results imply that a flexible agent organization, in which the hierarchical order is changed dynamically, actually performs better than an organization in which the hierarchical order is static and rigid. Furthermore, we describe that the agent can be available to hold multiple variables in the searching scheme.
This study aimed to develop epoxy putty as a multi-purpose connection and restoration material that can be used for material-specific restoration work such as metal, wood, ceramics, earthenware and stone artifacts by replacing synthetic resins currently being used for preservation treatment of cultural assets. Existing synthetic resins have the issue of cutting force resulting from high strength, deflection resulting from long hardening time, contaminating the surface of artifacts through staining on tools or gloves and need for re-treatment resulting from material discoloration. Accordingly, paste type restoration material most widely being used in the field of cultural assets preservation treatment was selected and examined the property to select it as an object of comparison. Based on such process, epoxy putty was developed according to the kind of agent, hardener and filler. For the purpose of solving the issues of existing material and allowing the epoxy putty developed to have similar property, property experiments were conducted by selecting agents and hardeners with different characteristics and conditions. The study findings showed that both kinds are paste type that improved work convenience and deflection issue as a result of their work time of within 5~10 minutes that are about 3~10 times shorter than that of existing material. In regards to wear rate for increasing cutting force, it improved by about 3 times, thereby allowing easy molding. For the purpose of improving the issue of surface contamination that occurs during work process, talc and micro-ballon were added as filler to reduce the issue of stickiness and staining on hand. Furthermore, a multi-purpose restoration material with low shrinkage, low discoloration and high cutting force was developed with excellent coloring, lightweight and cutting force features.

When a drug is prepared in a tablet, the active component represents only a small portion of the dosage form. The other components of the formulation include materials to assist in the dissolution, antioxidants, coloring agents and bulk fillers. The tablets are tested using approved testing methods usually involving separation and subsequent quantification of the active component. Tablets may also be tested by near-Infrared Reflectance spectrometry (NIRS). In the present study, based on NIRS and multivariate calibration methods, a novel and precise method is developed for direct determination of ascorbic acid in vitamin C tablet. Two different tablet formulations were powdered in three different sizes, 63-125 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, and examined. Spectral region of 4750-4950 $cm^{-1}$ / was used and optimized for quantitative operations. Partial least squares (PLS) and multiple linear regression (MLR) methods were performed for this spectral region. The results of optimized PLS and MLR methods showed that reproducibility increase with decreasing grain size and standard error of calibration (SEP) of less than 1% w/w of ascorbic acid and a correlation coefficient of 0.998 can be achieved. The PLS method showed better results than MLR. Seven overdose and underdose samples (prepared in the laboratory to match marketed products) were tested by proposed and iodometric standard methods. A correlation between NIRS predicted ascorbic acid values and iodomet.ic values was calculated ($R^2$=0.9950). Finally, the direct analysis of individual intact tablets in their unit-dose packages (Blistering in aluminum and PVC foils) obtained from market were also carried out and a correlation coefficient of 0.9989 and SEP of 0.931% w/w of ascorbic acid were achieved.
In this study, The mixture of three kinds of pre-treatment agents, Carboxymethyl cellulose sodium salt(CMC), Sodium alginate and Dextrin, have been prepared for the better coloration of digital textile printing. To get sharpness of outline during digital printing process, the optimal formulation is the CMC and Sodium alginate mixture 1:1 ratio by volume. Cyan, Yellow, and Black colours are excellent on the Sodium alginate mixtures. But, Magenta is excellent in the CMC and Dextrin mixture. Sharpness and printability are closely related to viscosity of the mixture. The most optimal sharpness of outline achieved with a consideration of coloring, and field operations account for production when the viscosity of the mixed pre-treatment agent approximately is 10~13 cSt. Change in shade and staining of wash fastness for all the treated samples with the mixtures rated 4-5 grade. Both dry rubbing fastness to shade change and staining are good in the treated samples, whereas wet rubbing fastness rated 2-3 grade. To improve wet rubbing fastness, the Sodium alginate and Dextrine mixture, which rated 3-4 grade for Black color, is applicable. With exception of 3 rating to black color, Light fastness is 4 rating for the remaining three colors in the regardless of treatment condition and mixing of the pre-treatment agent. Dry cleaning fastness of all samples are also 4-5 rating.
