In this study, we fabricated high quality color conversion component with green/red phosphor and low melting glass frit. The color conversion component was prepared by placing the green and red phosphor layer on slide glass via screen printing process. The properties of color conversion component could be controlled by changing coating sequence, layer thickness and heat treatment temperature. We discovered that optical properties of color conversion component were generally determined by the lowest layer. On the other hand, the heat treatment temperature also affected to correlated color temperature (CCT) and color rending index (CRI). The color conversion component with a green (lower) - red (upper) layer which was sintered at $550^{\circ}C$ showed the best optical properties: CCT, CRI and luminance efficacy were 3340 K, 78, and 56.5 lm/w, respectively.
The effect of titanium dioxide ($TiO_2$) on the properties of color conversion glasses was examined for glasses based on $BaO-ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2$. One glass sample, containing 25 mol% of each component, was used as a reference; the other three glass samples contained 1, 3, and 5 mol% $TiO_2$, respectively. The four color conversion glass samples were prepared by sintering a mixture of glass frits and a $YAG:Ce^+$ phosphor. The characteristics of the color conversion glass samples, such as luminous efficacy, luminance, CIE (Commission International de I'Eclairage) chromaticity, CCT (Correlated Color Temperature), and CRI (Color Rendering Index) were analyzed according to the PL spectrum. The refractive index of the glass samples was found to increase with the titanium dioxide content. In conclusion, luminous efficacy of color conversion glasses increased as the content of $TiO_2$ was raised in the glass matrix.
In this paper, detection algorithm of face region based on skin color of in the TV images is proposed. In the first, reference image is set to the sampled skin color, and then the extracted of face region is candidated using the Euclidean distance between the pixels of TV image. The eye image is detected by using the mean value and standard deviation of the component forming color difference between Y and C through the conversion of RGB color into CMY color model. Detecting the lips image is calculated by utilizing Q component through the conversion of RGB color model into YIQ color space. The detection of the face region is extracted using basis of knowledge by doing logical calculation of the eye image and lips image. To testify the proposed method, some experiments are performed using front color image down loaded from TV color image. Experimental results showed that face region can be detected in both case of the irrespective location & size of the human face.
In this paper, a new type of color coordinate conversion is proposed as modified CIEXYZ from RGB to compress the color gamut. The proposed segmentation includes principal component analysis for the optimal projection of a feature vector into a one-dimensional feature. The final step adopted for lip segmentation is Otsu's threshold for a two-class problem. The performance of the proposed method was better than that of conventional methods, especially for the chromatic feature.
The effect of zirconium dioxide ($ZrO_2$) on the properties of color conversion glasses was examined in the $BaO-ZnO-B_2O_3-SiO_2$ system. The difference in refractive index between glass and phosphor affect the optical properties of the color conversion glass because of light scattering. Reducing the difference in refractive index is a method to improve the luminous efficacy of color conversion glasses. As a reference, a type of glass that contains 25 mol% of each component was used. To increase the refractive index of the glass samples, the BaO content was increased from 25 to 40 mol%, and $ZrO_2$ was added at levels of 1, 3, and 5 mol%. Color conversion glasses were prepared by sintering a mixture of glass and 5 wt% $YAG:Ce^{3+}$ phosphor. As a result, the refractive index of the glass was found to be dependent on the BaO and $ZrO_2$ contents in the BaO-ZnO-$B_2O_3-SiO_2$ system. As the BaO and $ZrO_2$ contents were increased, the luminous efficacy of the color conversion glass was improved because the refractive index difference between the glass and the $YAG:Ce^{3+}$ phosphor decreased.

Digital watermarking is a technical solution to the copyright problem and is a necessary technique to protect copyright of multimedia content. Recently, there are many digital watermarking methods that deal in grey scale still images. However, only a few researchers are interested in digital watermarking fro video and color images. In this paper, we focus on digital watermarking for color images. At first, in order to embed the watermark signal in color image, we converted RGB color space to YCbCr color space which is a world-wide digital component video standard. In addition, we adopted the acceptable degree of color difference in order to keep the invisibility.
Recently, the color separation issue of wide-spreading white LEDs has attracted attention due to their wide applicability as light sources in direct-lit LCD backlights. These wide-spreading LED packages usually consist of LED chips, a color-conversion phosphor layer, and a light-shaping lens. The technical aspect of this color issue was related to a method for balancing the yellow spectral component emitting from phosphors with respect to the blue one from the LED chip as a function of viewing angle. In this study, we suggested an approach for carrying out quantitative analysis for the color separation problem occurring in wide-spreading LED packages by optical simulation. In addition, the effect of an internal scattering layer on the color uniformity was investigated, which may be considered as a potential solution for this problem.
JCT-VC (Joint Collaborative Team on Video Coding) continues developing HEVC/Screen Content Coding (HEVC/SCC) as an extension for efficiently coding screen content videos, including computer animations, graphics, and electrical documents, based on HEVC/Range extension (HEVC/RExt.). Color space conversion from RGB space being captured from CCD sensors is popular in natural video coding. However, the conversion is often undesired for screen contents because of a significant loss in perceptual quality. Therefore, several coding tools including cross-component prediction (CCP) and in-loop adaptive color space transform (ACST) have been developed for an efficient screen content video coding in order to reduce the redundancies between color spaces while maintaining the original color space. In this paper, we review the two coding tools, i.e., CCP and ACST exploiting the correlation in the RGB color space and conduct the performance analysis of the coding tools. In our simulation results, CCP and ACST provide 11.7% BD-rate saving and 16.4% BD-rate saving, respectively, while the two coding tools provide 18.2% BD-rate saving in total. Following this idea, if the two coding tools are exclusively selected, we provide 93% encoding measurement time with a 0.3% coding loss.
Objectives: This study investigated the effects of the color components of light-cured composite resin before and after polymerization on degree of conversion (DC) and biaxial flexural strength (FS). Materials and Methods: Four enamel shades (A1, A2, A3, A4) and two dentin shades (A2O, A3O) of Premisa (Kerr Co.) and Denfil (Vericom Co.) were evaluated on their CIE $L^*,\;a^*,\;b^*$ color components using the spectrophotometer before curing, after curing and at 7 day. The DC of same specimens were measured with Near-infrared spectrometer (Nexus, Thermo Nicolet Co.) at 2 hr after cure and at 7 day. Finally, the FS was obtained after all the other measurements were completed at 7 day. The correlations between each color component and DC and FS were evaluated. Results: The light-curing of composite resin resulted in color changes of Premisa in red-blue direction and Denfil in green-blue direction. The DC and FS were affected by product, time and shade (3-way ANOVA, p < 0.05) and product and shade (2-way ANOVA, p < 0.05), respectively. Premisa only showed a significant correlation between the DC and CIE $a^*$ component - before and after polymerization (Pearson product moment correlation, p < 0.05). The FS of Premisa showed significant negative correlations with CIE $a^*$ and CIE $b^*$ components. Conclusions: The DC and FS of the light-curing composite resin were affected by the color components of the material before and after polymerization.
Red tide is becoming hot issue of environmental problem worldwide since the 1990. Advanced nations, are progressing study that detect red tide area on early time using satellite for sea. But, our country most seashores bends serious. Also because there are a lot of turbid method streams on coast, hard to detect small red tide area by satellite for sea that is low resolution. Also, method by sea color that use one feature of satellite image for sea of existent red tide area detection was most. In this way, have a few feature in image with sea color and it can cause false negative mistake that detect red tide area. Therefore, in this paper, acquired texture information to use GLCM(Gray Level Co occurrence Matrix)'s texture 6 information about high definition land satellite south Coast image. Removed needless component reducing dimension through principal component analysis from this information. And changed into 2 principal component accumulation images, Experiment result 2 principal component conversion accumulation image's eigenvalues were 94.6%. When component with red tide area that uses only sea color image and all principal component image. displayed more correct result. And divided as quantitative,, it compares with turbid stream and the sea that red tide does not exist using statistical feature analysis about texture.
