This research presents the battery discharge rate models for the energy consumption of mobile phone batteries based on machine learning by taking into account three usage patterns of the phone: the standby state, video playing, and web browsing. We present the experimental design methodology for collecting data, preprocessing, model construction, and parameter selections. The data is collected based on the HTC One X hardware platform. We considered various setting factors, such as Bluetooth, brightness, 3G, GPS, Wi-Fi, and Sync. The battery levels for each possible state vector were measured, and then we constructed the battery prediction model using different regression functions based on the collected data. The accuracy of the constructed models using the multi-layer perceptron (MLP) and the support vector machine (SVM) were compared using varying kernel functions. Various parameters for MLP and SVM were considered. The measurement of prediction efficiency was done by the mean absolute error (MAE) and the root mean squared error (RMSE). The experiments showed that the MLP with linear regression performs well overall, while the SVM with the polynomial kernel function based on the linear regression gives a low MAE and RMSE. As a result, we were able to demonstrate how to apply the derived model to predict the remaining battery charge.
This research was conducted to develop seedling production techniques in flat oyster, Ostrea dense lamellosa. The cultivation of larvae, artificial spat and spats collection in natural conditions rate were examined. In the mass culture tank (3 tons), average growth rates of the D Shape larvae of initial shell length (153.4 ㎛) and shell height (153.4 ㎛) were 202.6% and 212.9% at 16 days and 227.1%, 241.8% at 20 days, respectively. Instantaneous death and survival rate of the larvae were 0.160 and 54.8% at 16 days and 0.057 and 43.2% at 20 days, respectively. Collection rate of flat oyster from bottom using various collectors with oyster shell, scallop shell, ark shell and PVC plates were 32.9%, 24.1%, 16.8% and 10.0%, respectively. and the greatest collecting rate was 131.9 individuals/shell (32.9%) in laid collectors on the bottom. The collecting rate of the oyster larvae were better in laid collectors on the bottom 83.8 individuals/collection than in the suspended string 54.2 individuals/collection. in all collecting substrates. Early spats settled on collectors were grew to 2.38 $\pm$ 0.97 ㎜ in shell length and 2.16 $\pm$ 0.86 ㎜ In shell height at 26 days. The spats were grew to 28.58 $\pm$ 2.39 ㎜ in shell length and 31.65 $\pm$ 2.03 ㎜ in shell height during the 4 month mid-term cultivation. In the period of cultivation, the mean number of spats attached to collectors were 10.3 individuals at oyster shells, 5.8 scallop shells, 4.0 ark shells and 1.5 PVC plates, respectively.
Purpose - It is a very important issue for the Korean tourism industry to increase tourism revenue by attracting foreign tourists. Although Japanese tourists have been an important part of the Korean tourism industry for a long time, the level of tourist satisfaction including accommodation has been at the worst compared to other foreign visitors, which strongly requires concrete solutions. Therefore, this study focuses on improving the satisfaction level of Japanese visitors in the use of accommodation, and find out the influence of the managerial response. Research design, data, and methodology - In this study, customer review and managerial response of hotels in Seoul were collected from "Rakuten Travel" which is the most representative online travel agency in Japan. As a result of collecting data from 2016 to 2018, 6,190 customer reviews and 1,241 managerial responses from 120 hotels were used for analysis. In addition, information on the properties of 120 hotels, such as the number of rooms, classification, types of hotel facilities, types of room facilities, accessibility and prices, were collected. To test the hypotheses, moderated multiple regression analysis was conducted with SPSS 22.0. Results - It was found that only 25 sites, 20.8% of the total 120 sites, were implementing managerial response and average response rate was 66.42% among them. As a result of examining the main effects of the hotel attributes on the ratings, accessibility and price are confirmed as effective variables. We also found that the response rate has a significant moderate effect in both the accessibility and price. In other words, there was a significant difference in the influence of accessibility and price on the ratings depending on the response rate. Also, it was confirmed that the response rate is not a pure moderator variable but a quasi moderator variable. Overall, the evidences partially supported the hypothesis. Conclusion - It was possible to provide important suggestions to the hotel managers who were concerned about managing tourist satisfaction with accessibility problems. It was found that the accessibility problem could be overcome by increasing the response rate. It was also confirmed that high ratings can be more effectively achieved for high priced hotels by increasing the response rate.

In this paper, we design a facial facial image data collection system for heart rate measurement using a web camera. The design content of this paper is a function of collecting user face image information using a web camera and measuring heart rate using the user's face image information. There is a possibility that an error may occur due to non-contact heart rate measurement using a web camera. Therefore, in this paper, it is to be used for correcting heart rate program errors through classification of data in cases of error and normal. The data in case of error can be used for the purpose of reducing the error. Experiments were conducted on the proposed ideas and designed in this paper. As a result of the experiment, it was confirmed that it operates normally.

Determination of type of a vehicle is being used in various areas such as collecting tolls, collecting statistical traffic data and traffic prognosis. Because most of the vehicle type classification systems depend on vehicle length indirectly or directly, highly reliable automatic vehicle length measurement system is crucial for them. This study makes use of a pencil beam laser rangemeter and devises a mechanical device which rotates the laser rangemeter. The implemented system measures the range between a point and the laser rangemeter then indicates it as a spherical coordinate. We obtain several silhouettes of cross section of the vehicle, the rate of change of the silhouettes, signs of the rates then squares the rates to apply cell averaging constant false alarm rate (CA-CFAR) technique to find out where the border is between the vehicle and the background. Using the border and trigonometry, we calculated the length of the vehicle and confirmed that the calculated vehicle length is about 94% of actual length.
The control of the surface energy by electrohydrodynamic force provides electrospraying with various potential advantages such as simple particle size control, mono-dispersity, high recovery, and mild processing conditions. The advantages are quite helpful to improve the stability of protein drug and control its release. Herein, the nano-encapsulation of protein drugs using electrospraying was investigated. Albumin as a model protein was processed using uniaxial and co-axial electrospraying, and chitosan, polycaporlactone (PCL), and poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) were used as encapsulation materials. The major processing parameters such as the conductivity of spraying liquids, flow rate, the distance of electrical potential gradient, etc were measured to obtain the maximum efficiency. In the chitosan systems, mean particles size decreases as flow rate and the distance between nozzle and the collecting part decreases. In the uniaxial technique of the PCL systems, mean particles size decreases as flow rate decreases. In the coaxial technique of the PCL systems, it was found that the particles size gets larger under the application of the higher ratio of inner-to-outer liquid flow rates. The primary particles formed out of an electrospraying nozzle showed narrow particle size distribution, but once they arrived to the collecting part, aggregation behavior was observed obviously. Efficient nano-encapsulation of albumin with PCL, PEG, and chitosan was conveniently achieved using electrospraying at above 12 kV.
With the increase of senior population, adults in their manhood and senescence with neurogenic defects also increase as well; thus, it is necessary to conduct foundational research on speech fluency to rehabilitate adults with neurogenic language disorders. Thereupon, this study analyzes the characteristics of speech fluency comparatively by age and sex with the subjects of normal adults in their 50's to 70's. According to the result of collecting language samples from total 90 adults, 30 (15 males, 15 females) in each age group of the 50's, 60's, and 70's and comparing the speech rate and disfluency frequency, first, adults in their 70's showed slower speech rate than those in their 50's or 60's. And those in their 50's, 60's, and 70's indicated no difference in their speech rate by sex. Second, there was no difference in normal disfluency and total disfluency among the adults in the 50's, 60's, and 70's. Also, there was no difference among the age groups by sex, either. Third, there was no correlation between speech rate of all the age groups and disfluency frequency.

This study examined the damage characteristics through investigation for a total of 10 factors (longitudinal position, crossing position, soil type, collecting well volume, outlet position, water apron material, waterway existence, pipe culvert diameter, pipe culvert gradient, pipe culvert height) affecting outlet damages of forest road cross drainage for forest roads in the Research Forest of Kangwon National University. We predicted outlet damages of forest road cross drainage for forest roads using a discriminant analysis Results showed that longitudinal position, crossing position, soil type and pipe culvert height did not affect damages caused to forest road cross drainage. Most influential factors affecting outlet damages were outlet position, waterway existence, pipe culvert diameter, pipe culvert gradient and collecting well volume, respectively. The discriminant ratio calculated from the developed discriminant function was 68.8% which is reasonably reliable.
Purpose: Catheter urine (CATH-U) and suprapubic aspiration (SPA) are reliable urine collection methods for confirming urinary tract infections (UTI) in infants. However, noninvasive and easily accessible collecting bag urine (CBU) is widely used, despite its high contamination rate. This study investigated the validity of CBU cultures for diagnosing UTIs, using CATH-U culture results as the gold standard. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 210 infants, 2- to 24-month-old, who presented to a tertiary care hospital's pediatrics department between September 2008 and August 2013. We reviewed the results of CBU and CATH-U cultures from the same infants. Results: CBU results, relative to CATH-U culture results (${\geq}10^4$ colony-forming units [CFU]/mL) were widely variable, ranging from no growth to ${\geq}10^5CFU/mL$. A CBU cutoff value of ${\geq}10^5CFU/mL$ resulted in false-positive and false-negative rates of 18% and 24%, respectively. The probability of a UTI increased when the CBU bacterial count was ${\geq}10^5/mL$ for all infants, both uncircumcised male infants and female infants (likelihood ratios [LRs], 4.16, 4.11, and 4.11, respectively). UTIs could not be excluded for female infants with a CBU bacterial density of $10^4-10^5$ (LR, 1.40). The LRs for predicting UTIs based on a positive dipstick test and a positive urinalysis were 4.19 and 3.11, respectively. Conclusion: The validity of obtaining urine sample from a sterile bag remains questionable. Inconclusive culture results from CBU should be confirmed with a more reliable method.
Outdoor mobile robots are faced with various terrain types having different characteristics. To run safely and carry out the mission, mobile robot should recognize terrain types, physical and geometric characteristics and so on. It is essential to control appropriate motion for each terrain characteristics. One way to determine the terrain types is to use non-contact sensor data such as vision and laser sensor. Another way is to use contact sensor data such as slope of body, vibration and current of motor that are reaction data from the ground to the tire. In this paper, we presented experimental results on terrain classification using contact sensor data. We made a mobile robot for collecting contact sensor data and collected data from four terrains we chose for experimental terrains. Through analysis of the collecting data, we suggested a new method of terrain feature extraction considering physical characteristics and confirmed that the proposed method can classify the four terrains that we chose for experimental terrains. We can also be confirmed that terrain feature extraction method using Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) typically used in previous studies and the proposed method have similar classification performance through back propagation learning algorithm. However, both methods differ in the amount of data including terrain feature information. So we defined an index determined by the amount of terrain feature information and classification error rate. And the index can evaluate classification efficiency. We compared the results of each method through the index. The comparison showed that our method is more efficient than the existing method.
