This paper contributes to the understanding of the effect of pulley on the performance of the vortex turbine in free water surface. The experimental work was to analyze the rotation, voltage and current of the turbine due to physical factors (vortex height, velocity, effective head, etc.) at flow rates ranging from 0.0069 to 0.0077 m3/s in the inlet channel. As a result, the experimental values showed that voltage, current and rotational speed of the vortex turbine decreased with increasing the pulley ratio regardless of the blade type. The efficiency of straight blade and twisted blade was 52 % at the gear ratio of 0.45, whereas the efficiency of small twisted blade was 54 % at the pulley ratio of 0.21. The highest amount of the energy generated by the water free vortex turbine occurred within a pulley ratio of 0.5. The efficiency of this vortex turbine was observed at 0.2 ~ 58 % depending on the pulley ratio.

We investigated the neuroprotective effects of deca nano-graphene oxide (daNGO) against reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inflammation in the human neuroblastoma cell line SH-SY5Y and in the 6-hydroxydopamine (6-OHDA) induced Parkinsonian rat model. An MTT assay was performed to measure cell viability in vitro in the presence of 6-OHDA and/or daNGO. The intracellular ROS level was quantified using 2',7'-dichlorofluorescein diacetate. daNGO showed neuroprotective effects against 6-OHDA-induced toxicity and also displayed ROS scavenging properties. We then tested the protective effects of daNGO against 6-OHDA induced toxicity in a rat model. Stepping tests showed that the akinesia symptoms were improved in the daNGO group compared to the control group. Moreover, in an apomorphine-induced rotation test, the number of net contralateral rotations was decreased in the daNGO group compared to the control group. By immunofluorescent staining, the animals in the daNGO group had more tyrosine hydroxylase-positive cells than the controls. By anti-Iba1 staining, 6-OHDA induced microglial activation showed a significantly decrease in the daNGO group, indicating that the neuroprotective effects of graphene resulted from anti-inflammation. In conclusion, nano-graphene oxide has neuroprotective effects against the neurotoxin induced by 6-OHDA on dopaminergic neurons.

In the anchovy boat seine fishing boat, it is necessary to select other aquatic organisms other than live anchovies, which are the target species of catch. By making a rotating roller sorter using hydraulic pressure, the anchovy sorting amount was compared and the sorting accuracy of the rotary roller sorter, and the discharge speed of butter fish and jerry fish according to the number of roller revolutions were analyzed. The rotating roller sorter increases the weight of the sorted raw anchovy by 54%, 74% and 91.5% compared to the round bar fixed type, so it can reduce the required time by an average of 73.2%. As a result of converting the sorting accuracy to the weight of pure anchovies excluding the catch weight, the round bar fixed type was 89%; however, the average of the rotating roller sorter was 97.7%. Thus, the sorting accuracy of the rotary roller sorter was further improved by about 8.7%. The roller speed moved 7% at 300 rpm, 7.5% at 600 rpm, and 16% at 900 rpm, so butter fish were discharged overboard 10% faster than jelly fish on average. In addition, the average feed speed of butter fish and jelly fish is 1,400 mm/s when the roller rotation speed is 300 rpm, 1,480 mm/s at 600 rpm, and 1,850 mm/s at 900 rpm. A Φ58 mm roller rotates once it moved about 1.23 mm. In the future, a follow-up study of quantitative evaluation is needed targeting more non-target fish species of anchovy boat seine.
A bearing is a mechanical component that transmits rotation and supports loads. According to the type of rotating mechanism, bearings are categorized into ball bearings and tapered roller bearings. Tapered roller bearings have higher load-bearing capabilities than ball bearings. They are used in applications where high loads need to be supported, such as wheel bearings for commercial vehicles and trucks, aircraft and high-speed trains, and heavy-duty spindles for heavy machinery. In recent times, the demand for reducing the driving friction torque in automobiles has been increasing owing to the CO2 emission regulations and fuel efficiency requirements. Accordingly, the research on the driving friction torque of bearings has become more essential. Researchers have conducted various studies on the lubrication, friction, and contact in tapered roller bearings. Although researchers have conducted numerous studies on the friction in the lips and on roller misalignment and skew, studies considering the influence of roller shape, specifically roller shape errors including lips, are few. This study investigates the driving friction torque of tapered roller bearings considering roller geometric uncertainties. Initially, the study calculates the driving friction torque of tapered roller bearings when subjected to axial loads and compares it with experimental results. Additionally, it performs Monte Carlo simulations to evaluate the influence of roller geometric uncertainties (i.e., the effects of roller geometric deviations) on the driving friction torque of the bearings. It then analyzes the results of these simulations.
Due to global CO2 emission reductions and fuel efficiency regulations, the trend toward transitioning from internal combustion engine vehicles to electric vehicles (EVs) has accelerated. Consequently, the problem of EV failures has become a focal point of active research. The parasitic capacitance generated during motor-shaft rotation induces voltage that deteriorates the raceway and ball surfaces of bearings, causing electrical damage in EVs. Despite numerous attempts to address this issue, most studies have been conducted under high viscosity lubricant and low load conditions. However, due to factors such as high-speed operation, rapid acceleration and deceleration, motor heating, and motor system-decelerator integration, current EV applications have shown diminished stability in lubrication films of motor bearings, thereby leveraging the investigation to address the risk of electrical damage. This study investigates the electrical damage to rolling bearing elements in EV motor drive systems. The experimental analysis focuses on the effects of electric currents and operational loads on bearing integrity. A test rig is designed to generate high-rate voltage specific to a motor system's parasitic capacitance, and bearing samples are exposed to these currents for specified durations. Component evaluation involves visual inspections and vibration measurements. In addition, a predictive model for electrical failure is developed based on accumulated data, which demonstrates the ability to predict the likelihood of electrical failure relative to the duration and intensity of current exposure. This in turn reduces uncertainties in practical applications regarding electrical erosion modes.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of reducing of craniofacial radiation dose using automatic exposure control (AEC) technique in the 64 multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT). We used SOMATOM Definition 64 multi-detector CT, and head of whole body phantom (KUPBU-50, Kyoto Kagaku CO. Ltd). The protocol were helical scan method with 120 kVp, 1 sec of rotation time, 5 mm of slice thickness and increment, 250 mm of FOV, $512{\times}512$ of matrix size, $64{\times}0.625\;mm$ of collimation, and 1 of pitch. The evaluation of dose reducing effect was compared the fixed tube current of 350 with AEC technique. The image quality was measured the noise using standard deviation of CT number. The range of craniofacial bone was to mentum end from calvaria apex, which devided three regions: calvaria~superciliary ridge (1 segment), superciliary ridge~acanthion (2 segment), and acanthion~mentum (3 segment). In the fixed tube current technique, CTDIvol was 57.7 mGy, DLP was $640.2\;mGy{\cdot}cm$ in the all regions. The AEC technique was showed that 1 segment were 30.7 mGy of CTDIvol, 340.7 $mGy{\cdot}cm$ of DLP, 2 segment were 46.5 mGy of CTDIvol, $515.0\;mGy{\cdot}cm$ of DLP, and 3 segment were 30.3 mGy of CTDIvol, $337.0\;mGy{\cdot}cm$ of DLP. The standard deviation of CT number was 2.622 with the fixed tube current technique and 3.023 with the AEC technique in the 1 segment, was 3.118 with the fixed tube current technique and 3.379 with the AEC technique in the 2 segment, was 2.670 with the fixed tube current technique and 3.186 with the AEC technique in the 3 segment. The craniofacial radiation dose using AEC Technique in the 64 MDCT was evaluated the usefulness of reducing for the eye, the parotid and thyroid with high radiation sensitivity particularly.
This paper compares the combination performance of feature point-based matching algorithms as a study to confirm the matching possibility between image taken by a user and a virtual texture image with the goal of developing mobile-based real-time image positioning technology. The feature based matching algorithm includes process of extracting features, calculating descriptors, matching features from both images, and finally eliminating mismatched features. At this time, for matching algorithm combination, we combined the process of extracting features and the process of calculating descriptors in the same or different matching algorithm respectively. V-World 3D desktop was used for the virtual indoor texture image. Currently, V-World 3D desktop is reinforced with details such as vertical and horizontal protrusions and dents. In addition, levels with real image textures. Using this, we constructed dataset with virtual indoor texture data as a reference image, and real image shooting at the same location as a target image. After constructing dataset, matching success rate and matching processing time were measured, and based on this, matching algorithm combination was determined for matching real image with virtual image. In this study, based on the characteristics of each matching technique, the matching algorithm was combined and applied to the constructed dataset to confirm the applicability, and performance comparison was also performed when the rotation was additionally considered. As a result of study, it was confirmed that the combination of Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT)'s feature and descriptor detection had the highest matching success rate, but matching processing time was longest. And in the case of Features from Accelerated Segment Test (FAST)'s feature detector and Oriented FAST and Rotated BRIEF (ORB)'s descriptor calculation, the matching success rate was similar to that of SIFT-SIFT combination, while matching processing time was short. Furthermore, in case of FAST-ORB, it was confirmed that the matching performance was superior even when 10° rotation was applied to the dataset. Therefore, it was confirmed that the matching algorithm of FAST-ORB combination could be suitable for matching between virtual texture image and real image.

Today, many commercial and in-house SRS programs have also introduced non-invasive immobilization systems include the cyberknife and tomotherapy and proton beam. In chip plating, several parameters must be taken into consideration. Current density, solution concentration, pH, solution temperature, components volume, chip and media ratio, barrel geometrical shape were most likely found to have an effect to the process yields. The 3 types of barrels utilized in chip plating industry are the conventional rotating barrel. vibrational barrel (vibarrel), and the centrifugal type. Conventional rotating barrel is a close type and is commonly used. The components inside the barrel are circulated by the barrel's rotation at a horizontal axis. Process yield has known to have higher thickness deviation. The vibrational barrel is an open type which offers a wide exposure to electrolyte resulting to a stable thickness deviation. It rotates in a vertical axis coupled with multi-vibration action to facilitate mixed up and easy transportation of components, The centrifugal barrel has its plated work centrifugally compacted against the cathode ring for superior electrical contact with simultaneous rotary motion. This experiment has determined the effect of barrel vibration intensity to the plating thickness distribution. The procedures carried out in the experiment involved the overall plating process., cleaning, rinse, Nickel plating, Tin-Lead plating. Plating time was adjusted to meet the required specification. All other parameters were maintained constant. Two trials were performed to confirm the consistency of the result. The thickness data of the experiment conducted showed that the average mean value obtained from higher vibrational intensity is nearer to the standard mean. CNDO/2 MO theoretical studies and kinetic studies of halide exchange reactions for alkylchloroformates have been carried out in order to investigate structure-reactivity relationship of alkylchloroformates. From the result of energetics, it was concluded that the most stable configuration of alkylchloroformate is that in which alkyl group and chlorine are trans to each other, and that the hindered rotation about the bond between the carbonyl carbon and alkoxy-oxygen bond is attributed to the ${\pi}-$electron delocalization. It has been found that the large charge separation is due to -M effect of carbonyl and alkoxy oxygens and-I effect of chlorine. The order of rates in solvents studied was $(CH_3)_2 > CO > CH_3CN{\gg}MeOH.$$I^->Br^->Cl^-$ in protic solvent, and of Cl^->Br^- >I^-$ in dipolar aprotic solvents.
