  • One of the imminent problems to be solved within wireless sensor network is to balance out energy dissipation among deployed sensor nodes. In this paper, we present a transmission relay method of communications between BS (Base Station) and CHs (Cluster Heads) for balancing the energy consumption and extending the average lifetime of sensor nodes by the fuzzy logic application. The proposed method is designed based on LEACH protocol. The area deployed by sensor nodes is divided into two groups based on distance from BS to the nodes. RCH (Relay Cluster Head) relays transmissions from CH to BS if the CH is in the area far away from BS in order to reduce the energy consumption. RCH decides whether to relay the transmissions based on the threshold distance value that is obtained as a output of fuzzy logic system. Our simulation result shows that the application of fuzzy logic Provides the better balancing of energy depletion and Prolonged lifetime of the nodes.

  • Dwarf is a highly compressed structure, which compresses the cube by eliminating the semantic redundancies while computing a data cube. Although it has high compression ratio, Dwarf is slower in querying and more difficult in updating due to its structure characteristics. We all know that the original intention of data cube is to speed up the query performance, so we propose two novel clustering methods for query optimization: the recursion clustering method which clusters the nodes in a recursive manner to speed up point queries and the hierarchical clustering method which clusters the nodes of the same dimension to speed up range queries. To facilitate the implementation, we design a partition strategy and a logical clustering mechanism. Experimental results show our methods can effectively improve the query performance on data cubes, and the recursion clustering method is suitable for both point queries and range queries.

  • Globular clusters (GCs) form at the very early stage of galaxy formation, and thus can be used as an important clue indicating the environment of the galaxy formation era. Although various GC formation scenarios have been suggested, they have not been examined in the cosmological context. Here we introduce the 'particle tagging method' in order to investigate the formation scenarios of GCs in a galaxy cluster. This method is able to trace the evolution of GCs that form in the dark matter halos which undergo the hierarchical merging events in galaxy cluster environments with an effective computational time. For this we use dark matter merger trees from the cosmological N-body simulation. Finally, we would like to find out the best GC formation scenario which can explain the observational properties of GCs in galaxy clusters.

  • Red giant branch shape and the luminosity of horizontal branch on the (V-I)-V CMD are used to derive the metallicity the globular cluster NGC 5053. The metallicities of NGC 5053 derived by SMR method ([Fe/H]=-2.62$\pm$0.07) and the relation between[Fe/H] and $(V-I)_{0.g}$ ([Fe/H]=-2.50) are in good agreement with previously determined values. This result confirms that the morphologies of RGB and HB on the (V-I)-V CMDs can be good indirect photometric metallicity indicators of galactic globular clusters.

  • In this study, we systemize the theoretical validity for applying unrelated question model to three-stage cluster sampling method and derive the estimate and it's variance of sensitive parameter. We derive the minimum variance form under the optimal values of the subsample sizes when the cost are fixed. Under the some given precision, we obtain the optimal values of the subsample sizes and derive the minimum cost form by using them.

  • Basic objective in cluster analysis is to discover natural groupings of items or variables. In general, variable clustering was conducted based on some similarity measures between variables which have binary characteristics. We propose a variable clustering method when variables have more categories ordered in some sense. We also consider some measures of association as a similarity between variables. Numerical example is included.

  • We present the high-resolution spectroscopic study of the red-giant branch (RGB) stars in the peculiar globular cluster M22 (NGC 6656). We obtained high-resolution spectra of 55 RGB stars using the CTIO 4-m telescope and the HYDRA multi-object spectrograph. By employing an improved LTE analysis method, we measured accurate elemental abundances. In this talk, we will discuss the differences in the chemical composition between the two stellar populations in the context of the formation of M22.

  • The aim of the present study was to develop strains of actinomycetes producing low molecular weight cathepsin B inhibitor. Among 700 isolates from soil samples, a strain of Streptomyces sp. SMF30 producing cathepsin B inhibitor showing specificity and heat stability was selected by an economical and effective screening method. 50 units characteristics for major cluster analysis and 34 units characteristics for minor cluster were tested and the data were analyzed numerically using the TAXON program. The Isolate SMF30 was identified as a strain of Streptomyces aburabiensis

  • A hexagonal hexamer of water cluster is optimized by ab initio method using the 4-31G basis set. At this geometry the nonadditive many-body interactions are calculated. The ab initio calculation with large basis set [T. H. Dunning, J. Chem. Phys., 53, 2823 (1970); 54, 3958 (1971)] shows that a pentagonal unit is rather stable among several kinds of clustering units of water molecules.

  • The proposed privacy preserving scheme has identified the drawbacks of existing schemes in Vehicular Networks. This prototype enhances the number of nodes by decreasing the cluster size. This algorithm is integrated with the whale optimization algorithm and Block Chain Technology. A set of results are done through the NS-2 simulator in the direction to check the effectiveness of proposed algorithm. The proposed method shows better results than with the existing techniques in terms of Delay, Drop, Delivery ratio, Overhead, throughout under the denial of attack.
