Seven patients had undergone repair of endocardial cushion defect from Jan. 1977 to Dec. 1984 at National Medical Center. Most patients had no associated anomalies except one who had PFO, and mortality case was absent. Five patients had partial ECD and two had complete ECD [Rastelli type A]. In P-ECD patients, the atrial septal defect was closed with patch in all cases and mitral cleft was approximated with 2-3 direct stitches. In two cases of C-ECD, atrial and ventricular septal defect was closed with single patch in one case and atrial septal defect was closed with patch but ventricular septal defect was closed with patch but ventricular septal defect was closed it direct suture in the other case. Atrioventricular cleft was approximated with 2-3 direct sutures. Postop. transient A-V block was noted in 2 cases but returned to regular sinus rhythm after 2 to 6 months.

The improvement of the water level control is important since it will prevent the steam generator trip so that improve the reliability and credibility of operation system. In this paper, the closed loop system identification is performed which can be used for the system monitoring and prediction of the system response. The model also can be used for the prediction control. Irving model is used as a steam generator model. The plant is an open loop unstable and non-minimum phase system. Fuzzy controller stabilize the system and the stable controller stabilize the system and the stable closed loop system is identified using neural networks. The obtained neural network model is validated using the untrained input and output. The results of computer simulation show the obtained Neural Network model represents the closed loop system well.

Agreement between open question and closed question on portion size of a food frequency questionnaire was assessed for the influence by the restricted choices in closed question on estimated nutrient intakes and agreement of ranking individuals. Dietary intakes of 361 subjects in a rural country, Yang-pyeung Gun were obtained using a interview method. The results are as follows ; 1) Nutrients intakes calculated from closed question on portion size were lower than those calculated from open question on portion size. 2) For most nutrients the percentage of Korean RDA were significantly lower with closed question than open question. 3) Correlation coefficient of nutrient intakes and food intakes obtained by two methods were higher than 0.6 for all nutrients and food items. 4) For each nutrient, misclassification into extreme quartiles was less than 1 percent. 5) These data indicate that closed question on portion size can provide the corresponding information as open question if food frequency questionnarie is used for the ranking of individuals.

In the course of modernization and industrialization in Korea, the population in rural area has been substantially decreased, as a greate number of people have moved to urban area. Many elementary schools in rural area were destined to be closed as the number of students for each school have been decreased below proper level. And this tendency seems to be continued for the time being. The purpose of this study is to suggest a policy for the effective utilization of closed elementary schools in rural area. Especially this study is focused on the cases of utilization of closed school as art studio. By analysing the actual cases of utilization of closed school facilities as artists' studios and surveying the responses and opinions of local inhabitants as well as the artists, we hereby suggest and propose a related policy as one of effective means to revitalize distressed rural community.

Bevel gears are important mechanical parts to transmit power in transportation system high precision parts like bevel gears might be manufactured by closed die forging process for dimensional accuracy. Closed die forging of bevel gears offers the high quality and good mechanical properties and also leads to considerable cost saving. To determinate the proper closed-die forging process for bevel gear forms, three-dimensional finite element simulation for the progressive forging process was earned out and also the simulation results were compared with experimental results.

The turnover-type sluice gate is typically actuated by the open circuit hydrauic system since the single-rod cylinder is used rather than the double-rod cylinder. However, here the closed circuit hydrauic system is applied for the operation of turnover-type sluice gate for the purpose of convenient operation. The closed circuit hydraulic system of turnover-type sluice gate is composed of a bi-directional pump, single-rod cylinders, pilot operated check valves, check valves and a counter balance valve. The usefulness of the closed circuit hydraulic system is verified for the several operational conditions by the computer simulations.

It is the objective of this paper to study further the notion of ${\Lambda}_s$-semi-${\theta}$-closed sets which is defined as the intersection of a ${\theta}$-${\Lambda}_s$-set and a semi-${\theta}$-closed set. Moreover, introduce some low separation axioms using the above notions. Also we present and study the notions of ${\Lambda}_s$-continuous functions, ${\Lambda}_s$-compact spaces and ${\Lambda}_s$-connected spaces.

Spatial green's functions for a horizontal magnetic dipole in a parallel-plate waveguide are expressed in an improved closed-form with two-level approximation of the spectral green's functions. The results evaluated by the present closed-from green's function with two-level approximation are compard with those obtained the previous closed-form green's function with one-level approximation. The present results are observed to be more acurate than the previous results over wide frequency range as well as whole spatial range. The combination of the present closed-form green's functions and the moment mehtod may help in analyzing the problem of EMP coupling through an aperture into a parallel-plat waveguide and the microstrip slot antenna with a reflector.

A closed-type erosion control dam were suggested as an effective method to protect from debris flow damages caused by seasonal rainstorm, typhoon, and local heavy rain. However, design method on a closed-type erosion control dam currently practiced in the engineering is not well established with respect to type of the dam, design parameters, maintenance and so forth. In this study, design parameters for closed-type erosion control dam were evaluated and the comparison of design parameters used in Korea and Japan was performed. Based on the results of this study, modification of design method for closed-type erosion control dam are recommended.

This paper offers the definition of the space with one point Lin-deloffication topology of a topological space and proves that the retraction regu-lar closed function f: $K^{\ast}(X^{\ast}$) defined f($A^{\ast})=A^{\ast}$ if p $\in A^{\ast}$ or ($f(A^{\ast})=A^{\ast}-{p}$ if $p \in A^{\ast}$ is a homomorphism. There are two examples in this paper to show that the retraction regular closed function f is neither a surjection nor an injection.
