The purpose of this study was to find out whether there was a meaningful change in the learning perception and interpersonal relations of nursing students after completing clinical practice. Participants were 32 nursing students in the third grade. The research data were collected by questionnaire consisting of interpersonal relations and learning perception. The analysis of data was analyzed by SPSS 21 Version. General characteristics were analyzed by descriptive statistics, correlation between variables was analyzed by Pearson's relation, and differences of variables before and after clinical practice were analyzed by paired t-test. The results of the study are as follows. In clinical practice, interpersonal abilities showed a significant correlation with learning outcomes (R =.351, p =.049). The interpersonal abilities of nursing students improved significantly(t =2.264, p =.13) after completion of clinical practice. Nursing college students recognized that their interpersonal abilities had improved after completion of clinical practice, and the improvement of interpersonal abilities was statistically supported. Considering that the interpersonal relationship was an important factor in the clinical practice related stress of the nursing college students, it was meaningful that the interpersonal ability improved after the clinical practice. The positive correlation between interpersonal abilities and learning perceptions in clinical practice of nursing college students suggests future directions for future research. The results of this study will provide basic data on education that will enhance the satisfaction of students' clinical practice and improve their learning outcomes.
Purpose: This study was designed to identify the relationship between image of nursing and satisfaction with clinical practice of nursing students Method: A descriptive research design that examined relationship between image of nurse and satisfaction with clinical practice of nursing students was used for this study, All 350 subjects were obtained by convenience sampling from three nursing diploma programs. The data were collected using an self-reporting questionnaire from May 1st to 31st, 2003. Collected data were analysed on SPSS Win 11.0. Result: There is a significant relationship between image of nurse and satisfaction with clinical practice of nursing student. Classical image of nurse, older age, and satisfaction with nursing of nursing students were identified as the factors that influence significantly on their satisfaction with clinical practice. Conclusions: Nursing student is given a chance to prepare themselves be a nurse through well-structured clinical nursing practice. Purpose: This study proposed to examine the effects of a blended-learning orientation program executed for nursing students' clinical practice. Method: The participants were 61 nursing students in the experimental group and 57 in the control group. For the experimental group, a blended-learning orientation program was executed by e-learning (on-line) and lecture-led training (off-line) from two-week before the start of clinical practice in medical-surgical nursing. For the control group, orientation was given in the traditional lecture-led training by distributing printed materials before clinical practice. A pre-test was conducted on the experimental and control group before clinical practice, and a post-test was conducted after two-week of clinical practice in order to examine the effects of the orientation program. Results: After two-week of clinical practice, differences were observed between the experimental group and the control group in adaptation to clinical practice (F=10.242, p=.002), communication skills (F=4.305, p=.040) and clinical competence (F=6.823, p=.010). Conclusions: The blended-learning orientation program enhanced nursing students' adaptation to clinical practice, improved their communication skill and increased their clinical competence. Accordingly, it is recommended to develop and apply practical education using blended-learning in the area of nursing science.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the levels of stress, anxiety and fatigue of nursing students in clinical practice, and the relationship among these variables. Method: Data was collected by structured questionnaires from 223 nursing students who have practiced at the hospital in Gwangju. Data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, ANOVA, t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Result: The mean score for stress was 3.87. The mean score for anxiety was 44.88. The mean score for fatigue was 30.79. There was a significant difference of stress according to student grade, practice unit, practice time, satisfaction of clinical practice. There was a significant difference of anxiety according to religion, health status, satisfaction of clinical practice, satisfaction on nursing. There was a significant difference of fatigue according to religion, health status, practice time, satisfaction of clinical practice, selective motivation on nursing, satisfaction on nursing. Conclusion: This study revealed that there was a significant correlation among stress, anxiety and fatigue of nursing students in clinical practice.
Purpose: While clinical practice is crucial for nursing students to acquire the skills needed to provide professional, high-quality nursing care, further studies on improving undergraduate nursing programs are needed to provide a supportive clinical learning environment for student nurses. This study aimed to understand nursing students' clinical experiences in newborn nurseries and neonatal intensive care units and to provide basic data for the establishment of strategies to promote effective clinical education. Methods: Interviews were held with 15 nursing students at J University who had clinical practice experience in the newborn nursery and neonatal intensive care unit. The collected data were analyzed using the phenomenological analysis method developed by Colaizzi (1978). Results: The nursing students' experiences were grouped into four categories: "expectations for and anxiety about clinical practice", "acquisition of a wide range of knowledge regarding neonatal nursing", "challenges faced in clinical practice", and "experiencing interpersonal changes". Conclusion: The current neonatal practice nursing education system provides students with positive learning experiences. However, the lack of practice opportunities, insufficient instruction, and the theory-practice gap were identified as major issues hindering students' learning needs. These study results are expected to provide basic data for curriculum development to improve undergraduate nursing education.
Purpose: This study was done to identify the relationship among Critical Thinking Disposition (CTD), stress of clinical practice and clinical competence in Korean nursing students. Methods: Participants were 407 baccalaureate nursing students (3rd and 4th grades) in Korea. Variables included CTD, stress of clinical practice, clinical competence, and demographic variables. Data was analyzed by frequencies, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. Results: Clinical competence positively correlated with CTD, but negatively correlated with stress of clinical practice. The regression model explained 25.6% of clinical competence. The significant predictors of clinical competence were intellectual eagerness, intellectual fairness in CTD, conflict with patients, and clinical environment in stress of clinical practice. Conclusions: CTD and stress of clinical practice contribute to nursing student's clinical competence. Therefore, efforts to encourage nursing student's CTD, increase stress management skills, especially in conflict with patients, and build a supportive clinical environment should be made to strengthen clinical competence.

This study was a cross-sectional descriptive survey study that confirms the effect on subjects that prefer clinical practice in order to prepare basic data for efficient clinical practice guidance for nursing college students. The study participants were 201 students attending C University, and the data collection period was from October 1 to October 15, 2022. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 as descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation, Chi square test, ANOVA test, and Multiple regression test. As a result of the analysis, it was found that clinical decision-making and critical thinking were correlated under the statistical significance level (r=.730, p<0.01). The most favorite clinical practice department was community nursing, and male students preferred community nursing the most (Male=45.6%, χ2=.000), female students were found to prefer similar levels of practical subjects with child nursing , adult nursing, and maternal nursing(χ2=000).Clinical decision-making was found to be higher in students who preferred community nursing at a statistical significance level than those who preferred child nursing (F=4.91, p<0.01). Critical thinking was higher among students who preferred adult nursing than those who preferred other subjects (F=4.65, p<0.01). Through the analysis results, it was found that general characteristics vary, but clinical decision-making ability and critical thinking affect the preference of clinical practice subjects. Therefore, based on the results of this study, the professor of clinical practice suggests the development of a program to foster clinical decision-making and critical thinking to make students interested in clinical practice subjects.
