Globalized cities are currently showing changes due to autonomous driving (AD). It is also maximizing globalization connections in cities where autonomous mobility is as complex as AD. The purpose of this study is to reveal that cities that realize AD and mobility will grow into globalized cities. Several cities, including New York and Shanghai, have attempted and are in progress, but failed cities are increasing. Although the technology of AD and the trust of citizens are prioritized, the city that has built the city's infrastructure is expected to be a city that has succeeded in AD. This is because commercialized cities or AVs will become hubs for mobility globalization, excluding rapid climate change or AV companies, and empirical analysis has been conducted that if AVs fail in metropolitan New York due to urban complexity (population density), urban economy size (GRDP), patents, number of consumers, infrastructure public EV chargers, and road quality. It examines whether the realization of AD by region and country affects overall national innovation. As a result, even if AV succeeds in large cities such as New York, Seoul, which has a higher population density (complexity), has a negative meaning, and a more similar Tokyo has a positive meaning. It can be seen that regional research on AV should also be prioritized in large cities such as Shanghai. This means that in order for AV to be realized in each city, the construction of AI infrastructure data must be actively changed to establish globalization of cities for economic growth as autonomous mobility.

Current straw mushroom farming in countries with large rice growing areas has great development potential, and was once considered a way to generate additional income and reduce poverty in rural areas. However, currently most people still grow mushrooms using traditional processes, leading to low productivity and unguaranteed output quality. Currently, due to climate change and unusual weather changes, people tend to switch to growing straw mushrooms indoors. In the process of growing straw mushrooms indoors, the design of an automatic control and monitoring system is very important to ensure the growing process is carried out effectively and achieves high yields. In this paper, we propose a system that can automatically control and monitor the humidity and temperature of the indoor straw mushroom growing process and other parameters that can be monitored through a network system using Internet of Things. The control algorithm automatically adjusts the grow house equipment based on feedback from sensors to maintain an optimal environment for growing straw mushrooms. Experimental results show that the straw mushroom growing system with automatically controlled and monitored environmental parameters helps improve efficiency, reduce costs and increase the sustainability of the current straw mushroom growing industry.

Recently, the effort of enterprises are visualized to correspond for 4th industrial revolution and climate change. Reaching the operation of industrial facilities are one of these efforts and is actively progressing under identical condition between real and virtual world through introduction of cyber-physical system (CPS). However, the problem on no unified definition for CPS still exists. Thus, in this paper, we review the previous concept of CPS. We propose new concept of CPS with four sections such as real world section, communication section, virtual world section and management section. We also propose definite concept by classifying the layer of each section. In order to confirm the possibility of application for proposed concept of CPS, we applied simple motor. We compare the result for torque between real motor and virtual motor. Finally we confirm that the applicability of proposed concept of CPS is very high.

There is a growing concern in reducing greenhouse gas emissions all over the world. The U.K. has set 34% target reduction of emission before 2020 and 80% before 2050 compared to 1990 recently in Post Copenhagen Report on Climate Change. In practise, Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tools have been introduced to construction industry in order to achieve this such as. However, there is clear a disconnection between costs and environmental impacts over the life cycle of a built asset when using these two tools. Besides, the changes in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) lead to a change in the way information is represented, in particular, information is being fed more easily and distributed more quickly to different stakeholders by the use of tool such as the Building Information Modelling (BIM), with little consideration on incorporating LCC and LCA and their maximised usage within the BIM environment. The aim of this paper is to propose the development of a model-based LCC and LCA tool in order to provide sustainable building design decisions for clients, architects and quantity surveyors, by then an optimal investment decision can be made by studying the trade-off between costs and environmental impacts. An application framework is also proposed finally as the future work that shows how the proposed model can be incorporated into the BIM environment in practise.

Recently, photovoltaic inverter is received attention in photovoltaic with introduction of feed-in tariff. However, this inverter has problems such as inability to respond flexible at climate change due to its opening, and decrease of efficiency and lifetime due to its abnormal operation. To solve the problem, we desire to develop the eco-inverter which has a temperature control to respond easily on the change of temperature, and use the sealed structure not to affect the environment. In addition, we derive the optimal position of cooling system which is placed inside of inverter to minimize the power consumption, and proposed the effective measure to improve the efficient of inverter by deciding the number of cooling system.

Amid the global population growth and climate change, high-tech smart farm technology that combines agriculture and ICT is actively being researched in Korea to solve sustainable crises such as declining population of agricultural and livestock industries. Existing smart farms are growing mainly on crops with low price competitiveness. Food consumption structures are becoming more sophisticated and diverse, and as agricultural consumption patterns change, the smart farm system also needs to be optimized for growing high-value special crops. To this end, an integrated ICT management system was designed and implemented by establishing a containerized smart farm environment specialized in growing sprout ginseng. Through this, it is possible to implement high-tech agricultural production and lead new future convergence industries through the convergence of ICT, agriculture, and the latest technologies and farming.

Due to the effects of climate change and the reduction of the labor force due to COVID-19, the crop yield, harvest time, and cultivated area are rapidly changing every year. In order to respond flexibly to this situation, attempts to apply smart farm technology based on ICT (Information and Communication Technology) to individual farms are increasing. On the other hand, various stakeholders are trying to predict the yield of crops using artificial intelligence and IoT technology, but accurate prediction is difficult due to the lack of learning data. In this study, in order to overcome the data collection problem limited to a specific institution, a smart farmer service technology based on community mapping was developed in which farmers directly participate, input and share accurate data to predict production. In the process, analysis was performed on napa cabbage, which is a vegetable with a large price change compared to production.

Advancements in hardware performance and computing technology have facilitated the progress of climate prediction models to address climate change. The Korea Meteorological Administration employs the GloSea6 model with supercomputer technology for operational use. Various universities and research institutions utilize the Low-GloSea6 model, a low-resolution coupled model, on small to medium-scale servers for weather research. This paper presents an analysis using Intel VTune Profiler on Low-GloSea6 to facilitate smooth weather research on small to medium-scale servers. The tri_sor_dp_dp function of the atmospheric model, taking 1125.987 seconds of CPU time, is identified as a hotspot. Nonlinear regression models, a machine learning technique, are applied and compared to existing functions conducting numerical operations. The K-Nearest Neighbors regression model exhibits superior performance with MAE of 1.3637e-08 and SMAPE of 123.2707%. Additionally, the Light Gradient Boosting Machine regression model demonstrates the best performance with an RMSE of 2.8453e-08. Therefore, it is confirmed that applying a nonlinear regression model to the tri_sor_dp_dp function during the execution of Low-GloSea6 could be a viable alternative.

Recently, there has been an increase in the number of disaster victims locally due to climate change and a variety of frequently occurring natural disasters. The damage caused by abrupt weather change in local area by typical weather forecasting techniques is very limited and difficult. Recently local area weather monitoring system using wireless sensor network technology has been very actively studied. Thus an IEEE 802.15.4-based weather field server to measure and monitor the local weather changes was designed and developed in this study. The proposed weather field server utilizes a wireless sensor node and weather sensors to collect weather information such as temperature, humidity, illumination, dew point, barometric pressure, and water level. The integrated weather sensor board was designed to respond quickly to weather changes, and provide feedback to the server PC. Each weather information is analyzed in the server PC to establish a program to monitor and analyze the local area or the area of abrupt climate change in order to provide warning signals in case of disaster events in local.

The paradigm of agriculture is also changing to address the problem of food shortages due to the increase of the world population, climate conditions that are increasingly subtropical, and labor shortages in rural areas due to aging population. With the development of Information Communication Technology (ICT), our daily lives are changing rapidly and heralds a major change in agricultural management. In a hyper-connected society, the introduction of high-tech into traditional Agriculture of the past is absolutely necessary. In the development process of Agriculture, the first generation produced by hand, the second generation applied mechanization, and the third generation introduced automation. The fourth generation is the current ICT operation and the fifth generation is artificial intelligence. This paper investigated Smart Farm that increases productivity through convergence of Agriculture and ICT, such as smart greenhouse, smart orchard and smart Livestock. With the development of sustainable food production methods in full swing to meet growing food demand, Smart Farming is emerging as the solution. In overseas cases, the Netherlands Smart Farm, the world's second-largest exporter of agricultural products, was surveyed. Agricultural automation using Smart Farms allows producers to harvest agricultural products in an accurate and predictable manner. It is time for the development of technology in Agriculture, which benchmarked cases of excellence abroad. Because ICT requires an understanding of Internet of Things (IoT), big data and artificial intelligence as predicting the future, we want to address the status of theory and actual Agriculture and propose future development measures. We hope that the study of the paper will solve the growing food problem of the world population and help the high productivity of Agriculture and smart strategies of sustainable Agriculture.
