여성에서 소변채집방법에 따른 소변검체의 오염율 비교 (Comparison of the Bacterial Contamination Rates according to the Urine Collection Methods in Women)

  • Background : The purpose of this study was to determine whether cleansing the perineum and urethral meatus and using midstream urine affect the rate of bacterial contamination of urine specimens, and to determine the optimum urine collection method. We studied 41 asymptomatic healthy nursing school students. Women who were menstruating were not excluded from this study. Method : The first and midstream urine samples were collected during consecutive urinationsby each woman. The first sample was not a clean-catch specimen, and the second one was a clean-catch specimen. Both specimens were studied by urinalysis and bacterial culture with standard methods. Results : 41 women met the study criteria and 39 successfully completed the study. None of the urine cultures were positive. 68.3% of the non clean-catch first urine cultures, 53.7% of the non clean-catch midstream cultures, 33.3% of the first clean-catch urine culteres and 30.8% of the midstream clean-catch urine were found to be contaminated. There was a significant difference in the bacterial contamination rates between the first and midstream urine, and the clean-catch and non clean-catch urine(p=0.035, p =0.001 respectively). On urinalysis, 7.3% of the non clean-catch first urine, 7.3% of the non clean-catch midstream urine, 2.6% of the clean-catch first urine and 2.6% of clean-catch midstream urine were found to be above grade 2. Conclusions : According to our results, the bacterial contamination rate was the lowest in midstream and clean catch urine specimens. Threrfore it is recommended that the midstream clean-catch technique is the standard practice for collecting urine specimens for bacterial culture in women.

유치도뇨관 삽입으로 인한 요감염에 관한 연구 (A Study on Foley Catheter Associated Bacteriuria)

  • Utilizing Foley catheter in therapy of inpatient cause bacteriuria and urinary tract infection that leads to first ranked factor's in hospital infection (nosocomial infection). To protect the patient from such infections, emphasis should be placed on catheterization technique and management of the closed drainage system, this reducing the chances of introducing organisms. This study has been done at Intensive Care Unit of A and B hospitals from May-Oct. 1978 on 20 male and 18 female adult patients. Each patient was screened and found to have nonbacteriuria in clean catch specimen before catheterization. Clean catch specimen via foley catheter were obtained after 48 hours and 96 hours from catheterization. The findings are as follows: A. The occurrence of bacteriuria in patients according to duration of indwelling catheter. 1 213.9% of the patient showed evidence of bacteriuria 48h post catheterization specimen, while 57.9% of the patient showed evidence of bacteriuria 96h post catheterization specimen. 2 25% of male patients had infection 48h post catheterization and 45% displayed bacteriuria post catheterization. 33% of female patients displayed infection 48h post catheterization and 72.2% having infection 96h post catheterization. Statistically there were significant differences between female patients and the duration of insertion. (P < 0.025) B. The occurrence of bacteriuria with the administration of bacteriuria with the ad-ministration of antibiotic in 24 patients was in 41,7%. The occurrence of bacteriuria without the administration of antibiotic in 14 patients was in 92.3%. Statistically there were very significant difference between the administration of the antibiotis and bacteriuria. (P < 0.005) C. Studies were done according to the consciousness level of the patients, 71.4% of those patient who displayed mental disorder developed bacteriuria, while 30.0% of those patient who displayed non mental disorder developed bacteriuria.

수직도뇨관환자의 요로감염발생요인에 관한 실험적 연구 -요관삽입기간, 삽입방법, 세척횟수, 회음부소독유무, 항생제사용유무를 중심으로 - (An Experimental Study on the Occurence of Bacteriuria according to Duration of Insertion, Frequency of Bladder Irrigation & Perineal Care, & Administration of Antibiotics in Patients with Indwelling Catheter)

  • This Study was conducted at Intensive Care Unit of H & S Hospitals from Jan 4 to April 7, 1981 on 14mail & 26female adult patients. Each patient was screened and found to have nonbacteriuria in clean catch specimen before catheterization. Clean catch apecimen through Foley catheter were obtained after 24hours, 48hours and 72hours from catheterization. The result of this study is reviewed in a statistical analysis of percentage & Chi Square test to obtain the following findings. 1) The occurenc of bacteriuria in patients according to duration of indwelling catheter. a. 9.1% of the patient showed evidence of bacteriuria 24hours post catheterization specimen and 60% showed 48hours post cathetreization, while 68.4% of the patient showed evidence of bacteriuria 72hours post catheterization specimen. The occurence of bacteriuria in patients were significant differences at 1% level between duration of indwelling catheter. b. Mail patients had no infection 24hours post catheterization, 50% displayed bacteriuria 48hours post catheterization & 62.5% displayed bacteriuria 71hours post catheterization. 11.1% of femail patients displayed infection 24hours post catheterization 66.7% displayed infection 48hours post catheterization and 72.7% displayed infection 72hours post catheterization. There were significant differences at 1% level between bacteriuria occurence of mail & femail patients and the duration of insertion. 2) 56% of those patient who have altered mental state developed bacteriuria, while 40% of those patient who have alear mental state developed bacteriuria. But there was without statistically any significant difference between patient's mental status. 3) The occurence of bacteriuria with the administration of antibiotics in 36 patient was in 50%. The occurence of bacteriuria without the administration of antibiotics in 4 patients was in 50%. But there was without statistically any significant difference between the administration of antibiotics. 4) The occurence of bacteriuria in patients according to frequency of bladder irrigation. 50% of those patient who irrigated twice a day developed bacteriuria, 63.6% of those patient who irrigated once a day developed bacteriuria. The occurence of bacteriuria in patients were significant differences at 1% level between frequency of bladder irrigation. 5) The occurence of bacteriuria in patients who did perineal care once a day was 58.1%, 22.6% of those patient who did perineal care twice a day developed bacteriuria. But there was without statistically any signiticant differences between frequency of perineal care. 6) Most frequent bacteria of all bacterial strains isolated by culture of the urine was E. coli(45%). Enterococci & Staphylococcus were 15% respectively.

Color Image Analysis of Cosmetic Web-Site for Color Marketing

  • This study aims to derive the sensitive image analysing the color tones based on the web-sites of cosmetic brand and to know how the web-site color tones and the color tone image as visual factor for information transfer do influence the effective communication. 10 cosmetic brand web-sites are selected based on the pre survey, and the main page color tones of cosmetic brand web-site are analyzed by Color Catch and Munsell Conversion program, whereas the composition of color tones and color image such as the main trend colors, secondary colors, accent colors and etc are analyzed by a graphic professional program 'Adobe Photoshop'. 5 color tone groups are classified as Black&White, Green&White, Blue&White, Purple&White and Red&White according to the color distribution chart, and the emotional language is derived applying them to the pre research and IRI image scale. The color association is empirically analyzed by a survey method. The study results finally show Black&White is proper for expression of high quality and modern image, Green&White for pure and clean image, Blue&White for cool and transparent image, Purple&White for mysterious and elegant image respectively. This study results are necessary for plan of color delivering the strong transferring power of visual information the time when to make the effective web-sites, and it hopefully will be utilized as the basic data for the color marketing to actively express the brand identity and to satisfy the consumers' sensitivity.

저소음 청소기 개발 (Low Noise Vacuum Cleaner Design)

  • Vacuum cleaner is a close life product that can remove various dusts from our surroundings. However well vacuum cleaner clean our environments, many people are looking away from it, due to its loud noise. Its noise causes a big trouble in the usual life, for example, catch calls, TV watching and discussing etc. To reduce these inconveniences, noise reduction methods and systematic design of low noise vacuum cleaner are studied in this paper. At first, sound quality investigation is performed to get the noise level and quality that make people TV watching and catch calls available. Based on the European and domestic customer SQ survey result, sound power, peak noise level and target sound spectrum guideline are studied and introduced. As a second, precise product sound spectrums are designed into each part based on the sound quality result. Fan-motor, brush, mainbody, cyclone spectrums are decided to get the final target sound based on the contribution level. Fan-motor is the major noise source of vacuum cleaner. Specially, its peak sound, RPM peak and BPF Peak, cause the people nervous. To reduce these peak sounds, high rotating impeller and diffuser are focused due to its interaction. A lot of experimental and numerical tests, operation points are investigated and optimization of flow path area between diffusers is performed. As a bagless device, cyclones are one of the major noise sources of vacuum cleaner. To reduce its noise, previous research is used and adopted well. Brush is the most difficult part to reduce noise. Its noise sources are all comes from aero-acoustic phenomena. Numerical analysis helps the understanding of flow structure and pattern, and a lot of experimental test are performed to reduce the noise. Gaps between the carpet and brush are optimized and flow paths are re-designed to lower the noise. Reduction is performed with keeping the cleaning efficiency and handling power together and much reduction of noise is acquired. With all above parts, main-body design is studied. To do a systematic design, configuration design developments technique is introduced from airplane design and evolved with each component design. As a first configuration, fan-motor installation position is investigated and 10 configuration ideas are developed and tested. As a second step, reduced size and compressed configuration candidates are tested and evaluated by a lot of major factor. Noise, power, mass production availability, size, flow path are evaluated together. If noise reduction configuration results in other performance degrade, the noise reduction configuration is ineffective. As a third configuration, cyclones are introduced and the size is reduced one more time and fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh configuration are evolved with size and design image with noise and other performance indexes. Finally we can get a overall much noise level reduction configuration. All above investigations are adopted into vacuum cleaner design and final customer satisfaction tests in Europe are performed. 1st grade sound quality and lowest noise level of bagless vacuum cleaner are achieved.

국내외 바이오 플라스틱의 연구개발, 제품화 및 시장 동향 (International Trends in Development, Commercialization and Market of Bio-Plastics)

  • 환경문제가 대두되면서 이미 선진국의 바이오 플라스틱 공급업체들은 소비자의 관심과 재활용 규제가 친환경 포장재 등의 수요를 불러일으킬 것으로 전망하였다. 이러한 수요에 대응하기 위해 옥수수와 같은 식물체를 활용해 만든 여러 형태의 바이오 플라스틱을 출시해 왔으며, 국내 업체들에서도 점차 이에 대한 관심을 높여가고 있다. 점차 강화되고 있는 폐기물 부담금과 불안정한 국제 유가를 고려할 때, 바이오 플라스틱은 소비자들의 친환경 제품에 대한 관심과 연결되어 국내 플라스틱 산업의 새로운 활로가 될 것으로 기대된다. 이를 위해서는 비교적 초기단계에 있는 국내 친환경 바이오 플라스틱 기술에 대해 기업과 대학에서 활발한 연구가 이루어져야 할 것으로 보인다. 빠르면 2-3년 내에 기존 생분해 플라스틱 이외에 바이오 베이스 및 산화생분해 플라스틱을 주원료로 한 식품용기 및 포장재, 산업용품, 농업용품, 일회용품, 산업용랩, 스트래치 필름 및 각종 상품용 제품이 실용화되고, 장기적으로는 생체 의료용제 등과 같은 첨단의 고부가 생명 공학기술을 응용한 다양한 종류의 환경 친화 제품의 출시가 예상되며, 향후 바이오 플라스틱 산업은 시장 잠재력과 성장성이 무한한 환경 관련 사업으로 평가된다.

『국역본 <>·<>』 고찰 -표기적 특징과 이본적 성격을 중심으로- (A Study on 『Korean Translation of ·』 -Focused on declared characteristics and characteristics in different versions-)

  • The purpose of the study was to decide Korean translation and the copying period of "Korean Translation of " and to look all around their characteristics in different versions carefully until now. The "Korean Translation" is a collection of Korean-translated romance and love stories excavated by a professor Kim,Il Geun, and there is not a little meaning in the context of novel history in the point of view of 'Korean translation of a court possession'. Arranging conclusion of the study generally, it is as follows. (1) Considering phonological phenomena, grammar and vocabulary in the study of Korean language, it is presumed that they would be translated into Korean and copied between the regime period of the King Sukjong and the regime period of the King Yungjo in the Joseon Dynasty. For, they were composed of a middle declaration of copied 'Myeoknambon "Korean Translation of Taepyeonggwanggi(태평광기)"' and 'NakseonJaebon(낙선재본)' between the middle of the 17th century and the middle of the 18th century and the regime period of the King Jeongjo in the Joseon Dynasty appointed as the background period of the novels should be excepted. Consequently, through the Korean Translation, we can confirm that the novel scope between the 17th century and the 18th century in Korean novel history was widened until 'The Royal Court' and 'Women'. (2) In the side of vocabulary, the "Korean Translation" also has not a little meaning in the side of a collection translated in the Royal Court. It doesn't have new vocabularies, but partial vocabularies as '(Traces:痕)' '(Clean eyes:明眸)', ' (Sail:帆)', '(Get up:起)', '글이플(Weak grass:弱草)', '쇼록(Owl:? 梟 or 鴉?)', '이 사라심(This life:此生)', and '노혀오매(Look for:訪)' are good data in the study of Korean language. (3) The "Korean Translation" is a valuable data about translation and copying of a court novel and we can discover intentionally changed parts and partially omitted sentences rather in the than in the . There are differences between a translation book and a copying book and we can catch sight of intention of translation and unsettledness of copying in the second work. Therefore, we can know that the "Korean Translation" has a double context which one work is translated and a work in different version is derived, compared to a simple copy. (4) The "Korean Translation" has a close relation with "Hangoldong(閒汨董)", but it doesn't regard the same copy as a foundation. The basic copy of translation of the "Korean Translation" is a different version of the same line as "Hangoldong" and "Jeochobon(저초본:정명기 소장본)" and is more similar line to "Hangoldong", but it is also not the same basic copy. (5) Considering that the "Korean Translation" doesn't has a distinct relation with the "Hangoldong", there is no correlation between the "Korean Translation" and and the "Hangoldong" and . In addition, we could not discover a writer's identity between the two.

2차 병원에서의 지역 사회 획득 요로 감염의 원인균 및 항생제 감수성 분석 (Causative Organisms of Community Acquired Urinary Tract Infection and Their Antibiotic Susceptibility at a Secondary hospital in Korea)

  • 목 적 : 소아 요로 감염은 가장 흔한 세균성 질환의 하나로, 특히 요로계의 해부학적 기형이 동반되면 재발하기 쉽고, 치료가 되지 않을 경우 고혈압, 신부전, 말기 신질환 등을 초래할 수 있다. 따라서 조기 진단과 적절한 치료 및 반복 감염의 예방이 중요한데, 이를 위해서는 정확한 원인 균주의 파악이 선행되어야 한다. 이에 저자들은 지역사회를 기반으로 하는 2차 병원에서 진단되는 소아요로감염의 원인균 및 항생제 감수성을 조사하여 적절한 항생제 선택에 도움이 되고자 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법: 2005년 1월 1일부터 2008년 12월 31일까지 관동대 명지병원 소아과에 입원하여 농뇨(WBC>5/HPF)와 요배양검사 상 $1.0{\times}10^5CFU/mL$ 이상의 배양검사결과를 보인 환아를 대상으로 소변 검사, 소변 배양 검사소견, 항생제 감수성 결과, 방사선 소견 등의 검사 결과를 의무 기록을 통해 후향적으로 조사하였다. 결 과:국내 3차 기관 등에서의 보고와는 다르게 대부분의 요로감염은 E. coli에 의한 것이었으며 ESBL 생성균주 또한 낮게 나타났다. 1) 전체 환아 62명의 평균 연령은 20개월이었으며, 1세 미만에서 호발(50명, 78.1%)하였다. 전체 환아 62명의 남녀 비는 1.6:1이었고, 1세 미만에서는 2.6:1, 1세 이상에서는 1:3.7이었다. 2) 전체 62명의 소변 배양 검사에서 분리된 균주는 E.coli가 가장 많았고(53명, 82.8%), K. pneumoniae (5명, 8.1%), Enterobacter (4명, 6.5%) Enterococcus, $\beta$-streptococcus, diphtheroides 각각 (1명, 1.6%)순이었다. 3) E. coli의 항생제에 대한 감수성은 ampicillin 30.2%, cefotaxime 98.1%, gentamicin 94.9%, amikacin100%, levofloxacin 98.1%, trimethoprim/sulfame-thoxazole 73.6%의 결과를 보였으며, 이 중 ESBL 생성균주는 1주가 검출되었다. 최근 3차 병원에서 실시한 감수성 결과와 차이를 보이는 것으로 의료기관에 따라 항생제 내성율의 차이가 있음을 시사하는 결과로 생각되며, 이는 일차 항생제 선택에 있어 지역별, 병원별 차이를 시사하는 것으로 생각할 수 있다. 결 론 : 향후 요로 감염 원인균 및 항생제 감수성에 대한 기관별, 지역별 지속적인 조사가 필요할 것으로 사료되며, 이에 기반한 적절한 항생제 사용이 요구된다.
