While previous studies and publications all assert a strong correlation between company's business plan and performance, very few have actually conducted practical analyses to support that. This study takes a practical approach in its analysis of Korean small and mid-sized enterprises(SME) with the view to finding an answer to the question. In addition, with the considerations of entrepreneur type and company's development stage, I analyzed the differences of business plan components' effects on performances. I selected business plan's components, which have been suggested only in theory and in concept, through the literature review and preliminary examination. Corporate performances were the recent improvements of ROS, ROA, market share and the number of employees to measure how greatly each is impacted by the components of a business plan. Results show that business plan components have influenced upon the number of employees. The business plan components discriminated superior company group and inferior company group properly. Especially, finance & related system and advertising & distribution factors showed statistically significant classification forecasting power. Technical/Craftsman evaluated the effects of producing & sales and profit & quality factors high and General/Opportunistic evaluated the effects of finance & related system, advertising & distribution, corporate mission factors high. The effect of corporate mission was highest among company development stages. Finance & related system and advertising & distribution factors showed the statistically significant difference in entrepreneur type and company development stages.

The purpose of this study is to estimate the flood discharge and runoff volume at a stream by using geomorphologic parameters obtained from the topographic maps following the law of stream classification and ordering by Horton and Strahier. The present model is modified from Cheng' s model which derives the geomorphologic instantaneous unit hydrograph. The present model uses the results of Laplace transformation and convolution intergral of probability density function of the travel time at each state. The stream flow velocity parameters are determined as a function of the rainfall intensity, and the effective rainfall is calculated by the SCS method. The total direct runoff volume until the time to peak is estimated by assuming a triangular hydrograph. The model is used to estimate the time to peak, the flood discharge, and the direct runoff at Andong, Imha. Geomchon, and Sunsan basin in the Nakdong River system. The results of the model application are as follows : 1.For each basin, as the rainfall intensity doubles form 1 mm/h to 2 mm/h with the same rainfall duration of 1 hour, the hydrographs show that the runoff volume doubles while the duration of the base flow and the time to peak are the same. This aggrees with the theory of the unit hydrograph. 2.Comparisions of the model predicted and observed values show that small relative errors of 0.44-7.4% of the flood discharge, and 1 hour difference in time to peak except the Geomchon basin which shows 10.32% and 2 hours respectively. 3.When the rainfall intensity is small, the error of flood discharge estimated by using this model is relatively large. The reason of this might be because of introducing the flood velocity concept in the stream flow velocity. 4.Total direct runoff volume until the time to peak estimated by using this model has small relative error comparing with the observed data. 5.The sensitivity analysis of velocity parameters to flood discharge shows that the flood discharge is sensitive to the velocity coefficient while it is insensitive to the ratio of arrival time of moving portion to that of storage portion of a stream and to the ratio of arrival time of stream to that of overland flow.

Cited-by Linking Service is one of the CrossRef's information services that allows you to discover how your publications are being cited and to incorporate that information into your online publication platform. This study tries to investigate citation patterns in the field of both Natural Science and Engineering using all of DOI assigned articles and Cited-by Linking data which are accumulated and managed by KISTI. The investigating approach is designed to verify the theory of 1) cognitive accessibility, 2) 'perceived quality and significance' and 3) 'subject relativity'. For cognitive accessibility verification the fulltext language portion of Korean and English between "Cited DOI Source Data" and "NOT Cited DOI Source Data" was compared. For perceived quality and significance verification the availability of the "Cited DOI Source Data" and "NOT Cited DOI Source Data" from SCIE and SCOPUS was employed. For subject relativity DOI data were classified and analysed on the basis of OECD subject classification scheme. Findings are that global citability is closely related to the fulltext language of the articles and their quality and significance. And in the natural science field most of citations are from the same subject categories, while relatively more citations are from other subject categories in the engineering field.
1. Background and Purpose At the year of 2000, the society of sasang constitutional medicine acqired ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSuseBowon GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$ which is presumed as the copy of ${\ulcorner}$GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$. According to Lee Sung-Su who is the great-grandson of DongMu's older brother, $[\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSuseBowon GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$ was worked by Lee Jin-Yoon who is the grandson of DongMu's older brother and it was copied by Han Min-Gab and now is owned by Lee Sung-Su who is the son of Lee Jin-Yoon. 2. Method This paper was written in order to understand the character of the discourse on the constitutional symp toms and diseases of ${\ulcorner}$HamsanSachon DongyiSuseBowon GoboGubon${\lrcorner}$. 3. Result and Conclusion 1) Each constitutional symptoms and diseases is classed as that of exterior and interior and then classsed again as that of exterior's exterior, exterior's interior, interior's exterior and interior's interior. 2) The degree of completion is high at the chapter of Soeumin and Soyangin comparing with that of Taeeumin and Taeyangin which don't exist as the contrasted explanation. 3) Soeumin's exterior-disease is divided Taiyang(太陽) and Yangmyung(陽明)'s disease by the sweating, that's interior-disease is same to Sinchukbon(辛丑本). BaboBon already have the concept of UlKwang(鬱狂) and mangYang(亡陽), so the discourse on the constitutional symptoms and diseases of Soyangin is early establish comparing with other constitution. 4) The Cold and Hot, the constitutional symptoms and diseases, the disease theory of Soyangin can be accessible to opposite side of Soeumin's that. The disease of exterior's exterior is only explained abdominal pain and diarrhea without the concept of Mangeum(亡陰) disease, but at the time of SinchukBon the concept of Mangeum-disease is invented. 5) There is many different with SinchukBon that the classification of symptoms and diseases of Taeeumin, and not mentioned the physiology and pathlogy of the airs and fluids metabolism. 6) Healthy Energy(保命之主) show us that JungKi(正氣) is key-point of the utility of the symptoms and diseases.
Nuclear fusion is one of the most promising options for generating large amounts of carbon-free energy in the future. Major countries such as China, EU, and Japan have established a national plan for DEMO construction and they are implementing it. Korea has started a nuclear fusion research and development by the KSTAR project started in 1995. There are matured needs for a full-scale research and development initiatives to ensure competition with the major countries for DEMO as well as achieve the final goal to commercialize fusion energy. In this paper, we apply the TRL and AHP methods in order to identify the key technologies to conduct DEMO R&D. We propose the priorities of future R&D on DEMO by deriving a core technology in the field. At first, we review the scientific theory of fusion and trend of progress of DEMO activities in major countries. For previous studies, we review TRL and AHP methods to examine the technology classification system of DEMO and identify key technologies. We apply TRL method to identify readiness level of DEMO technologies and AHP to compensate shortcoming of TRL. The key technologies of DEMO to be secured from a synthesis result of the TRL and AHP are burning plasma, plasma facing material, structural material, high frequency heating, neutral particle beam, safety, plasma diagnostic, and simulation technologies.
Architectural researches on the traditional houses of Korea have been studied mainly based on the data collected in the field survey. From explosively incresed real mesurements and drawings in the field, plenty of data have been collected. Those have been the basic data for verifing and developing the theories on the traditional house. But after Korean war the researchers in South-Korea were not able to approach to the field in North Korea, so the new data of North Korea were not added any more. The poverty of real data have caused regional unbalance in the researches. This paper aims at collecting new data of traditional house in North Korea. But still being prohibited for the researchers of South Korea to approach to the field, I had to depend on the memories and experiences of the immigrants from North Korea who are now living in Kyon-Nam and Pusan Province. Through the questionnaire and drawings, they described vivid memory of their old houses. I was able to collect the data of 71 cases, which are significant and valuable as much as those of the real field are. The data include the address and site condition, family structure, economic condition, construction period of each house, The drawings by themselves show the building forms and plans, the plans of each building, and the included spaces. Although the quantity of those data is not enough for statistical analysis, it shows general tendency for analizing regional charateristics, the differnces among economical classes, and the periodical change. It opens the way for verfying the existing theory. Analizing the data, I have some conclusions as followings: a. Most of researchers have classified the dominant housing type of Hamkyong-Do as 'the double fold' type. In this study, all cases of Hamkyongbuk-do also show 'the double fold plan with Chongju-kan'. But in Hamkyongnam-do some cases show 'the double fold plan without Chongju-kan, or projecting the stable into the yard, which seem to be different type from 'the double fold plan with Chongju-kan' b. Existing theories classified the dominant housing type of Pyongahn-do as 'two buildings with pararell arrangement'. This classification is verified with the plentiful cases in this study. Futhermore, I found new tendency, that is, getting higher econnomic condition, they construct annex buildings between the main buildings. Finally their houses show 'scattered ㅁ shape'. The houses included in this two types has narrow and closed inner yard, which is different from the houses of the same shape in the south region of Korea. c. Existing theories classified the dominant housing type of Hwanghae-do as 'ㅁ sape with Daechong' type. I found many cases of 'ㅁ shape', but only two cases show 'Daechong'. 'The doble fold' type was also founded. Unfortunately very few cases were sent from Hwanghae-do, it is not enough for finding general tendency.
The purpose of this study is to classify climatic environment according to its characteristics in Korea using GIS. The necessary condition of climatic division is that it is able to indicate climatic phenomena systematically and it has scientific persuasive power. Precipitaiton, rainfall days, temperature and weather entropy which are consist of Korean climatic elements are of advantage to indicate climatic phenomena systematically. GIS(Geographic Information System)has scientific persuasive power. This paper shows the time-spatial variations of each climatic elements, using GIS to precipitation, rainfall days, Temperature and weather entropy in Korea. And writers tried to know these regional characteristics and to divide the detailed climatic environment objectively and systematically. The main result of this study is that the regional division of climatic environment in Korea can be classified into 8 types, in details, 26 or 48 types.
This study has classified development stages (Embryonic-Growth-Maturity) of mobile telecommunication industry based on Industry Life Cycle theory. There are two steps to be analyzed in this study, In the first step, cluster was investigated through cluster analysis using mobile density to categorize development stages of mobile telecommunication industry. In the second step, we compared on indexes of market structure, market efficiency and market performance to find out characteristics of each stage of development. The results are as follows. First, HHI is higher at embryonic stage than at growth and maturity stages, Second, ARPU(Average Revenue Per User) and RPM(Revenue Per Minute) are getting higher as the stages move on. Third, EBITDA margins, an index of market performance, is decreasing along the three stages. Finally, this study presents a clue to define the stage of development of mobile telecommunication industry and build a proper strategy for the market change.
The currently existing "Bonchojeonghwa (本草精華)" is a manuscript without the preface and the epilogue, composed of 2 books in 2 volumes. This book is a quintessence of knowledge on science of medicinal ingredients (medicinal phytology I herbal science) as well as an trial of new development in Chosun medical science. I.e. this book includes surprising change representing medical science in Chosun dynasty as a single publication on science of medicinal ingredients. It holds a value essential to clinician as a specialized book in medicinal ingredients, and Includes richer content on medicinal ingredients than any other books published before. In addition, it is away from boring list-up of superfluous knowledge as seen in "Bonchokangmok(本草綱目)" published in China, and well summarizes essential knowledge which can be used within a range of medicines available in Korea. This book has an outstanding structure that can be even used in today's textbook on science of medicinal ingredients, as it has clear theory, system and classification. Because it handles essential learning points prior to prescription to disease, it is possible to configure new prescription and adjustment of medicinal materials. Moreover, this book can play a good role for linguistic study at the time of publication, because it describes many drugs in Hangul in many parts of the book. "Bonchojeonghwa" includes a variety of animals, plants and mineral resources in Korea, like "Bonchokangmok" which was recently listed in UNESCO. As such, it has a significance in natural history as well as pharmacy in Korean Medicine. It has various academic relationships all in biologic & abiologic aspects. It has importance in sharing future biological resources, building up international potential, setting up the standard for biologic species under IMF system, and becoming a base for resource diplomacy. We should not only see it as a book on medicinal ingredients in terms of Oriental Medicine, but also make an prudent approach to it in terms of study strengthening Korea's national competitiveness. After bibliographical reviewing on the features & characteristics of the only existing copy of "Bonchojeonghwa" housed in Kyujanggak(奎章閣) of Seoul National University, the followings are noted. First, "Bonchojeonghwa" is a specialized book on medicinal ingredients voluntarily made by private hands to distribute knowledge on drugs in the desolate situation after Imjinoeran (Japanese Invasion in 1592), without waiting for governmental help. Second, it raised accessibility and practicality by new editing. Third, it classified 990 different kinds of drugs into plant, animal, and mineral at large, and dassified more in detail into 15 'Bu' and 48 'Ryu' at 258 pages. Fourth, the publication of this book is estimated to be around 1625~1633, at the time of Injo's reign in 17th century. Fifth, it contains the existing & up-to-date knowledge at the time of publication, and it is possible to see the supply-demand situation by Hangul descriptions in 149 places in the book. By the fact that there are many linguistic evidences of 17th century, explains well when the book was published.
As personal data breach reared up as a problem domestically and globally, organizations appointing chief privacy officers (CPOs) are increasing. Related Korean laws, 'Personal Data Protection Act' and 'the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection, etc.' require personal data processing organizations to appoint CPOs. Research on the characteristics and role of CPO is called for because of the importance of CPO being emphasized. There are many researches on top management's role and their impact on organizational performance using the Upper Echelon theory. This study investigates what influence the characteristics of CPO gives on the organizational privacy performance. CPO's definition varies depending on industry, organization size, required responsibility and power. This study defines CPO as 'a person who takes responsibility for all the duties on handling the organization's privacy,' This research assumes that CPO characteristics such as role, personality and background knowledge have an influence on the organizational privacy performance. This study applies the part relevant to the upper echelon's characteristics and performance of the executives (CEOs, CIOs etc.) for CPO. First, following Mintzberg and other managerial role classification, information, strategic, and diplomacy roles are defined as the role of CPO. Second, the "Big Five" taxonomy on individual's personality was suggested in 1990. Among these five personalities, extraversion and conscientiousness are drawn as the personality characteristics of CPO. Third, advance study suggests complex knowledge of technology, law and business is necessary for CPO. Technical, legal, and business background knowledge are drawn as the background knowledge of CPO. To test this model empirically, 120 samples of data collected from CPOs of domestic organizations are used. Factor analysis is carried out and convergent validity and discriminant validity were verified using SPSS and Smart PLS, and the causal relationships between the CPO's role, personality, background knowledge and the organizational privacy performance are analyzed as well. The result of the analysis shows that CPO's diplomacy role and strategic role have significant impacts on organizational privacy performance. This reveals that CPO's active communication with other organizations is needed. Differentiated privacy policy or strategy of organizations is also important. Legal background knowledge and technical background knowledge were also found to be significant determinants to organizational privacy performance. In addition, CPOs conscientiousness has a positive impact on organizational privacy performance. The practical implication of this study is as follows: First, the research can be a yardstick for judgment when companies select CPOs and vest authority in them. Second, not only companies but also CPOs can judge what ability they should concentrate on for development of their career relevant to their job through results of this research. Cultural social value, citizen's consensus on the right to privacy, expected CPO's role will change in process of time. In future study, long-term time-series analysis based research can reveal these changes and can also offer practical implications for government and private organization's policy making on information privacy.
