중.고등학생의 '청소년을 위한 식생활 지침' 인지율과 실천율 (Awareness and Practice of Dietary Action Guide for Adolescence among Middle and High School Students in Korea)

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the adolescents' awareness and practice of Dietary Action Guide for Adolescence, which was developed by the Ministry of Health & Welfare. Subjects were middle and high school students, selected one class each from all of the 16 provinces in Korea, which were 32 schools and 998 students all together. The subjects were asked to self-evaluate the degree of awareness and practice of Dietary Action Guide using the 5 point-Likert scale from July to September, 2010. On average, 55.1% of the students responded that they were aware of the Dietary Action Guide and 49.4% answered that they put Guidelines into practice. The average score of awareness and practice were $3.54{\pm}0.24$ and $3.42{\pm}0.33$, respectively. The awareness score was higher than those of practice score in all the questions in the 6 categories. Awareness score of female students was higher than those of male students but there was no difference by residence area. Awareness and practice of the nutrition education-experienced were higher than those of the inexperienced. Practice score was higher among middle school-students compared to high school students, which reflected the opportunity of taking nutrition related classes. This finding shows that nutrition education for adolescents is important to change their dietary behaviors regardless of gender, residence area and school level.

Improving a newly adapted teaching and learning approach: Collaborative Learning Cases using an action research

  • Purpose: Although medical curricula are now better structured for integration of biomedical sciences and clinical training, most teaching and learning activities still follow the older teacher-centric discipline-specific formats. A newer pedagogical approach, known as Collaborative Learning Cases (CLCs), was adopted in the medical school to facilitate integration and collaborative learning. Before incorporating CLCs into the curriculum of year 1 students, two pilot runs using the action research method was carried out to improve the design of CLCs. Methods: We employed the four-phase Kemmis and McTaggart's action research spiral in two cycles to improve the design of CLCs. A class of 300 first-year medical students (for both cycles), 11 tutors (first cycle), and 16 tutors (second cycle) were involved in this research. Data was collected using the 5-points Likert scale survey, open-ended questionnaire, and observation. Results: From the data collected, we learned that more effort was required to train the tutors to understand the principles of CLCs and their role in the CLCs sessions. Although action research enables the faculty to improve the design of CLCs, finding the right technology tools to support collaboration and enhance learning during the CLCs remains a challenge. Conclusion: The two cycles of action research was effective in helping us design a better learning environment during the CLCs by clarifying tutors' roles, improving group and time management, and meaningful use of technology.

On Curvature-Adapted and Proper Complex Equifocal Sub-manifolds

  • In this paper, we investigate curvature-adapted and proper complex equifocal submanifolds in a symmetric space of non-compact type. The class of these submanifolds contains principal orbits of Hermann type actions as homogeneous examples and is included by that of curvature-adapted and isoparametric submanifolds with flat section. First we introduce the notion of a focal point of non-Euclidean type on the ideal boundary for a submanifold in a Hadamard manifold and give the equivalent condition for a curvature-adapted and complex equifocal submanifold to be proper complex equifocal in terms of this notion. Next we show that the complex Coxeter group associated with a curvature-adapted and proper complex equifocal submanifold is the same type group as one associated with a principal orbit of a Hermann type action and evaluate from above the number of distinct principal curvatures of the submanifold.

  • 가상 세계에서 가상 에이전트가 가져야 할 가장 기본적인 기능 중 하나가 이동을 위한 움직임이라 할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상 세계의 Human의 움직임을 모델링하기 위해 객체들의 속성과 Action등을 나타내주는 지식베이스인 온톨로지를 사용하고, 이를 통해서 계층 관계를 구성하고 상속성을 적용한 모델링을 하고자 한다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 가상 에이전트의 특성을 파악하고 특성에 따라 에이전트가 고유의 패턴을 가지고 동작을 생성하는 방법에 대해 제안한다. 또한 가상의 에이전트가 주변의 정성적 변화에 적응하여 동작을 변화하는 방법을 제시한다. 이렇게 제시된 방법들을 Human의 실제 움직임들 즉, walk, run, creep 등의 동작에 적용해 본다.

  • Type 2 diabetes is characterized by high level of blood glucose and insulin and impaired action. In recent years, the treatment of type 2 diabetes has been revolutionized with the advent of thiazolidinedione (TZD) class of molecules that ameliorate insulin resistance and thereby normalize elevated blood glucose levels. These TZDs are synthetic, high-affinity ligands of peroxisome proliferator activated receptor-gamma (PPAR${\gamma}$); a member of the nuclear receptor family that controls the expression of genes in the target tissues of insulin action.   • We study a class of left-invariant pseudo-Riemannian Sasaki metrics on solvable Lie groups, which can be characterized by the property that the zero level set of the moment map relative to the action of some one-parameter subgroup {exp tX} is a normal nilpotent subgroup commuting with {exp tX}, and X is not lightlike. We characterize this geometry in terms of the Sasaki reduction and its pseudo-Kähler quotient under the action generated by the Reeb vector field. We classify pseudo-Riemannian Sasaki solvmanifolds of this type in dimension 5 and those of dimension 7 whose Kähler reduction in the above sense is abelian.

저학년 외국인 가정 다문화 학생을 위한 그림책 읽어주기 수업에 관한 실행연구 - A초등학교 학교도서관 협력수업의 사례를 중심으로 - (Action Research on Reading Picture Books for Lower-Grade Multicultural Students from Foreign Backgrounds: A Case of Collaborative Lessons with A Elementary School Library)

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 저학년 외국인 가정 다문화 학생의 언어능력 향상과 정서적 안정감을 촉진시키기 위한 학교도서관을 활용한 그림책 읽어주기 수업의 운영 사례를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 다문화 학생을 대상으로 한 그림책 읽어주기 수업을 계획하고 실제 수업을 진행하며 얻은 결과를 분석하였다. 연구 과정에서는 다문화교육 및 언어능력 향상을 위한 그림책 활용과 관련된 선행 연구들을 고찰하였으며, 이를 토대로 수업의 주요 요소들을 도출하여 수업 절차를 구체적으로 설계하였다. 실제로 경기도의 A초등학교에서 1학년과 2학년 다문화 학생 5개 반 43명을 대상으로 20주 동안 반별로 각각 3회의 시범수업과 17회의 본 수업, 총 100회의 그림책 읽어주기 수업을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 그림책 읽어주기 수업이 다문화 학생들의 한국어 이해 능력 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤음을 확인하였다. 학생들의 한국어 표현력과 발표 태도가 개선되었으며, 도서관 이용도가 증가한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 그림책 읽어주기 수업은 학급생활 태도에도 긍정적인 변화를 가져왔다. 본 연구에서 제안한 학교도서관 활용 그림책 읽어주기 수업의 절차는 실제 학교교육 현장의 수업 운영과정에서 구상되고 발전된 것으로, 다문화 학생들의 증가에 따른 수업 환경 개선의 필요성을 반영한 실행연구이다. 이 연구를 통해 초등학교 저학년 다문화 가정의 학생들을 위한 그림책 읽어주기 수업이 어떻게 수업 환경을 개선하고 학습 성과를 향상시킬 수 있는지에 대한 중요한 시사점을 도출하였다.

주주집단소송의 대체수단으로서의 중재 (Arbitration as a Means to Replace Shareholder Class Action)

  • The advantages of arbitration such as promptness, economy and flexibility apply to the disputes arising from corporate governance between shareholders and a corporation. The confidentiality of arbitration can be particularly highlighted in the disputes among the members inside corporation. But it appears that the shareholders believe litigation the best way to pursue liabilities of managers of corporation and improve the system of corporate governance. And it is claimed that the current litigation system lacks the implementation of shareholders rights due to structural deficiency and therefore need bring class actions into the system of Korean jurisprudence. The OECD, which afforded the rescue finances to Korea, also recommended shareholder class actions as a way to improve corporate governance. Class actions have merits but even advanced countries consider the changes of existing system or only stay class actions in the stage of discussion. Rather, legal experts urge arbitration to be used more frequently and the Courts also approved the dispute resolutions of the disputes as to corporate governance through arbitration. There is no report in Korea that arbitration was used to resolve the disputes between shareholders and the managers, or between shareholders and corporation, which is listed in the Stock Market. There only are the debates for bring class actions into the judicial system between NGOs and the organizations of corporate managers. But arbitration has greater advantages in resolving the disputes among the members of corporation that any other methods for dispute resolution. Arbitration can interpret flexibly the mandatory provisions of the Statutes of Security and the Code of Commerce to meet the needs of parties involved, which is not possible to the Courts. Arbitration can issue the award to meet the equity of the parties. And arbitration can avoid a resolution of All or Nothing by fully considering the specific situations of Korean corporations(such as family-dominated management) and can issue the award beneficial to all parties of shareholders, managers and corporation. Thus it should be sought to resolve the disputes as to corporate governance through arbitration.

액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경소양과 자기효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Environmental Education Program using Action Learning on the Environmental Literacy and Self-efficacy of Elementary Students)

  • 본 연구는 액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램이 초등학생의 환경소양 및 자기효능감에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 부산광역시에 있는 A 초등학교 6학년 학생 22명을 대상으로 액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램을 적용하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 환경소양 향상에 효과적이었다. 액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램 실시 후 학생들의 환경태도와 가치, 감수성이 긍정적으로 변화했고, 환경 쟁점 의식 및 생태적 지식이 향상되었으며, 환경친화적 행동과 환경 기능 면에서도 유의미한 상승이 있었다. 둘째, 액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램은 초등학생의 자기효능감 신장에 효과적이었다. 액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램 실시 후 학생들은 문제 해결에 대한 자신감, 자신이 해야 할 행동을 판단하는 능력이 향상되었다. 셋째, 액션러닝을 활용한 환경교육 프로그램을 실시할 때 초등학생들은 기존 수업보다 적극적인 참여와 흥미를 보였다. 학생들은 자신들이 직접 문제를 찾고, 해결 방법을 구상하며 이를 직접 실천해볼 때 환경 보호에 대한 의지가 커졌다. 성찰 후에는 해결 방법을 심화시켜 자신이 사용하지 않는 물건을 팔아보고, 수익을 환경보호 단체에 기부하는 활동으로 이어지면서 학생들의 수업 몰입도와 만족도가 높았음을 확인할 수 있었다.

Adaptive fuzzy learning control for a class of second order nonlinear dynamic systems

  • This paper presents an iterative fuzzy learning control scheme which is applicable to a broad class of nonlinear systems. The control scheme achieves system stability and boundedness by using the linear feedback plus adaptive fuzzy controller and achieves precise tracking by using the iterative learning rules. The switching mode control unit is added to the adaptive fuzzy controller in order to compensate for the error that has been inevitably introduced from the fuzzy approximation of the nonlinear part. It also obviates any supervisory control action in the adaptive fuzzy controller which normally requires high gain signal. The learning control algorithm obviates any output derivative terms which are vulnerable to noise.
