  • The Round-Robin Test (RRT) for ground response analysis was performed by Division of Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering of Korean Geotechnical Society. This research analyzed the influence of analysis methods on variation of ground response by using the results of this RRT. The analysis methods include equivalent linear analysis, non-linear analysis and effective stress analysis. A total of 5 teams among 12 teams applied two kinds of analysis methods. This research compared the results of these 5 teams and analyzed the variation of the results according to analysis methods. The compared results were shear stress-shear strain relation, transfer function, time history and the response spectrum of ground surface acceleration, peak ground acceleration, peak shear strain and maximum excess pore pressure ratio.

  • North Korea has been preparing for WMD(Weapons Mass Destruction) using asymmetric force since it recognized the economic effects of CBR (Chemical, Biological, Radiological) weapons system operation and the limitations of conventional weapons. However, the threat only to conventional bombs, missiles and etc. is considered on the current Civil Defense Shelter, which could increase civil damages, not responding appropriately to disasters such as CBR weapons, terror attacks and etc. Therefore, this study confirms the current situation of Civil Defense Shelter and design criteria focused on CBR disasters so that we could make a plan and design of Civil Defense Shelter. In addition, we suggest the research result and improvements on Civil Defense Shelter and Design.

  • Steel-pipe civil structures, including steel-pipe energy piles and cast-in-place piles (CIPs), utilize steel pipes as their primary reinforcements. These steel pipes facilitate the circulation of a working fluid through their annular crosssection, enabling heat exchange with the surrounding ground formation. In this study, the cooling performance of a ground source heat pump (GSHP) system that incorporated steel-pipe civil structures was investigated to assess their applicability. First of all, the thermal performance test was conducted with steel-pipe CIPs to evaluate the average heat exchange amount. Subsequently, a GSHP system was designed and implemented within an office container, considering the various types of steel-pipe civil structures. During the performance evaluation tests, parameters such as the coefficient of performance (COP) and entering water temperature (EWT) were closely monitored. The outcomes indicated an average COP of 3.74 for the GSHP system and the EWT remained relatively stable throughout the tests. Consequently, the GSPH system demonstrated its capability to consistently provide a sufficient heat source, even during periods of high cooling thermal demand, by utilzing the steel-pipe civil structures.

  • The paper is to study and analyze the civil aviation industry of China and to present some cooperative and developing models between Korea and China in the fields of civil aviation on the basis of mutul benefit. In this study, civil aviation includes both the air transport industry and aircraft manufacturing industry. As it is not easy and realistic for us to conduct field survey on the civil aviation of China so far, this study has havily depended upon the literature data gathered from the ICAO and other published materials. This study includes the following major contents. 1. The historical development of China civil aviation 2. The present status and future prospect of Civil Aviation Adminstration of China(CAAC) 3. The present status of Chinese aircraft industry 4. Administration of airport and airspace of China 5. Air transport industry of China 6. The design of Korea-China civil aviation cooperation

  • The GFRP(Glass-Fiber Reinforced Plastic) Pipe is designed to behave safely against the external forces and to secure stability of deformation and settlements in pipe, Since it is laid under the ground. In this syudy, the evaluation for stability was carried out by performing the preliminary numerical analysis to decide the sclae effect in case of indoor model test. As a result of, strain of laying pipes is preponderantly reviewed. Numerical analysis is conducted to evaluate on the field application through the comparison concerning relations between deformation and differential settlement in the GFRP and hume pipes.

This examination materials use regression analysis as a basis, depending on the relative density of soil parameters change statement attributes. Yield fuction represent the soil parameters h and $\alpha$ is not affected by the changes in the relative density. $\eta_1$ could be replaced by fomula. And Numerical analysis results predicted very good and could confirm that.

  • The safety should be primarily considered for air vehicle, such as helicopter, which is not easy to cope with when out of order or loss of control that followed catastrophe. The U.S National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigated and analyzed for 34 years rotorcraft accidents that occurred from 1963 through 1997. This paper handles intensively the relative investigation and analysis of recent 10 years domestic civil helicopter accidents to those of the United States in order to increase the safety of helicopter transportation and to consider the main design parameter before we develop Korean Civil Helicopter. To understand the overview of civil turbine helicopter accident, it uses the NTSB's accident investigation results and the overall accident trend for U.S civil single and twin turbine engine helicopter according to category, cause, activity, and phase of operation.
