압전세라믹스를 이용한 음향트랜스듀서의 음향방사특성 해석 (An Analysis of the Acoustic Radiation Characteristics from the Acoustic Transducer)

  • The acoustic characteristics radiated from the acoustic transducer with metal-piezoceramic laminated circular plate were simulated. The Vibrational modes of metal-piezoceramic laminated circular plates were calculated by using the finite element method. After meshing the inside closed boundary of the acoustic transducer, the pressure gradients and the isotaric lines were calculated for the various frequencies. It has been observed that the characteristics of the sound pressure calculated for the various frequencies. Also, the directivity patterns and the sound pressure radiated from the acoustic transducer were calculated by 2-dimensional analysis.

  • 산청 할로이사이트의 전자 회절분석 및 레플리카와 박편을 이용한 형태 연구결과 관산 할로이사이트는 반경이 서로 다른 몇 개의 관들이 중첩되어 있으며 내부의 작은 관은 원형이나 외부의 큰 관은 다각형으로서 두 관 사이에 삼각형의 공극이 형성되어 있음이 관찰되었다. 할로이사이트의 단면은 대체로 직경이 500${\AA}$보다 작으면 원형을 이루고 그보다 크면 다각형을 이룬다. 다각형의 단면을 갖는 할로이사이트의 전자 회절상은 이들이 이층 단사 구조를 갖고 있음을 지시한다.

Laser Generation of Focused Lamb Waves

  • An arc-shaped line array slit has been used for the laser generation of focused Lamb waves. The spatially expanded Nd:YAG pulse laser was illuminated through the arc-shaped line array slit on the surface of a sample plate to generate the Lamb waves of the same pattern as the slit. Then the generated Lamb waves were focused at the focal point of which distance from the slit position is dependent on the curvature of slit arc. The proposed method showed better spatial resolution than the conventional linear array slit in the detection of laser machined linear defect and drill machined circular defect on aluminum plates of 2mm thickness. Using the focused waves, we could detect the linear defect and the circular defect with the improvement of spatial resolution. The method can also be combined with the scanning mechanism to get an image just like by the scanning acoustic microscope(SAM).

  • The characteristics of the unstable impinging circular jet were investigated based on the frequency characteristics and the sound field of the impinging-tones. Two symmetric modes Si and S2, associated with low frequency and high frequency respectively, and one helical mode H have been observed by measuring frequency and phase-distribution around the jet. Radiation characteristics of impinging-tone were studied by measuring axial directivity. It was founded that the radiation patterns of symmetric and helical mode are different and it is toward the plate as the impinging distance increased. By estimating the convection velocity of the unstable jet, it was founded that the convection speed decreases with the frequency and its decreasing pattern varies with unstable modes S1, S2 and H, respectively.

  • Platinum(II) complexes of R-2,2'-diaminobinaphthyl (R-dabn), [Pt(R-dabn)(H2O)2]Cl2, [Pt(R-dabn)(R-Pn)]Cl2, [Pt(R-dabn)(R-bn)]Cl2, and platinum(II) complexes of S-2,2'-diaminobinaphthyl (S-dabn), [Pt(S-dabn)(H2O)2]Cl2, [Pt(S-dabn)(S-Pn)]Cl2, and [(Pt(S-dabn)(S-bn)]Cl2 have been prepared. (R-Pn and S-Pn are, respectively R- and S isomer of 2,3-diaminobutane). R-Pn and S-bn are, respectively R and S isomer of 2,3-diaminopropane). In the vicinity of the B-absorption band region of dabn, the circular dichroism spectra of platinum(Ⅱ) complexes of R-dabn series show a positive B-band followed by a negative higher energy A-band, which is generally understood as the splitting pattern for a ${\lambda}$ conformation, while the circular dichroism spectra of platinum(Ⅱ) complexes of S-dabn series show a negative B-band followed by a positive higher energy A-band in the long-axis polarized absorption region as expected for a $\delta$ conformation.

오일펜스의 tip 형상이 후류유동에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effect of tip configuration of an oil fence on wake structure behind the fence)

  • The flow structures of turbulent shear layer behind oil fences with different tip configurations were investigated experimentally using flow visualization and PIV velocity field measurement. An oil fence was installed in a circulating water channel and the flow structure around the fence tip was mainly analyzed in this experiment. The four tip configurations tested in this experiment are knife edge; semi-circle edge, circular edge and rectangular edge. The 300 instantaneous velocity fields were measured using the single-frame PIV system and they were ensemble averaged to give the mean velocity field and spatial distribution of turbulent statistics. Free stream velocity was fixed at 10ms/sec and the corresponding Reynolds number based on the fence height was Re=4000. As a result, for the oil fence with rectangular edge, the streamwise velocity component was decreased. On the other hand it was increased for the oil fence with circular edge. For all four fences tested in this study, general flow pattern of the lower shear layer is analogous but the upper layer shows difference depending on the tip configurations. The oil fence with circular edge has more diffusive upper shear layer than that of the others. The shear layer of the oil fence with rectangular edge has relatively thin thickness. The oil fence with circular edge was found to be proper shape for tandem fence.

수평 원형 디스크가 로딩된 반원 디스크 초광대역 모노폴 안테나 (Vertically Half Disc-Loaded Ultrawideband Monopole Antenna (VHDMA) with Horizontally Top-Loaded Small Disc)

  • 본 논문에서는 반원형 및 반타원형 디스크가 급전점에 수직으로 로딩된 단순한 광대역 모노폴 안테나 구조에 급전점에는 추가적인 공진 구조를, 수직 모노폴 안테나의 끝단에는 수평으로 추가적인 소형 디스크가 로딩되는 초광대역 안테나의 특성에 관하여 시뮬레이션과 측정이 수행되었다. 설계된 초광대역 송신용 안테나로부터 가우시안 펄스의 전달 특성에 관하여 살펴보며 제안된 안테나의 수평방향을 단면으로 보았을 경우의 복사패턴이 등방향성 응답을 가짐을 알 수 있었다. 더욱이, 측정 및 시뮬레이션 결과로부터 소형이면서 광대역 특성을 보임을 알 수 있다. 제안된 수평방향의 소형 디스크가 장착된 반원형 디스크 모노폴 안테나의 측정결과로부터, 크기와 전기적인 성능 측면에서 살펴보았을 때 제안된 구조가 단순히 원형 디스크가 수직으로 로딩된 모노폴 안테나에 비해 견줄만 함을 알 수 있었다. 특히 본 논문을 통하여 제작된 안테나는 PCB를 이용한 프린팅 안테나에서 자주 발생되는 표면파 손실 및 유전체 손실과 같은 현상이 발생되지 않으므로 Return Loss의 성능이 곧 복사되는 효율과 밀접한 관계가 있다.

축소 모형시험과 개별 요소 해석에 의한 원형 공동 주변의 점진적 취성파괴 특성에 관한 연구 (Characteristics of the Progressive Brittle Failure around Circular Opening by Scaled Model Test and Discrete Element Analysis)

  • 암반 내 형성된 과도한 초기응력장은 굴착 공동 주변에 점진적이고 국부적인 취성파괴를 유발시킴으로서 시공의 안정성과 경제성을 확보하는데 장애 요인으로 작용할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 응력 수준 증가에 따른 공동 주변의 취성파괴 거동 특성을 파악하기 위해 축소된 원형 터널 공시체를 이용한 이축압축시험과 입자 결합 모델을 이용하여 개별요소법의 일종인 $PFC^{2D}$ 해석에 의한 연구를 수행하였다. 실내 이축압축시험을 통해 취성파괴의 발생 영역과 형태 면에서 실제 암반 공동 주변에서 발생된 파괴 특성과 유사한 파괴 거동을 모사할 수 있었다. 응력 강도비 증가에 따라 진행된 균열 발전단계를 미소파괴음 특성 변수들에 대한 상세 분석을 통해 평가하였다. $PFC^{2D}$ 해석을 통해 공동 주변에서의 미세 균열 발생과 전파 과정을 성공적으로 가시화하였으며 이를 통해 이축 압축시험 결과의 신뢰성과 시험방법의 적정성을 확인할 수 있었다.

소형화된 반원형-슬롯 UWB 안테나의 설계 (Miniaturized Half-Circular-Slot UWB Antenna Design)

  • 본 논문은 원형 슬롯 UWB 안테나를 소형화한 반원모양의 UWB 안테나를 설계하였다. 전자기장 분석을 통해, 기존의 원형 슬롯 UWB 안테나는 슬롯 방사체에서 $TE_n$ 모드에 기초한 일련의 방사 극점(radiation poles)을 가지고 있으며, 완전자계벽의 성질을 갖는 대칭축이 존재한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이를 이용하여 소형화된 반원형 슬롯 UWB 안테나를 설계하고, 광대역 안테나 특성이 유지되는 것을 확인하였다. RF-60A(t=0.64 mm, ${\varepsilon}_r=6.15,\;tan\;{\delta}=0.0025$)의 기판으로 제작하여 측정한 결과, 기존의 원형 슬롯 UWB 안테나의 이득은 $-2.7{\sim}3.1dBi$이고, 소형화된 안테나는 $-2.1{\sim}4.3dBi$의 이득을 가지며, 두 안테나 모두 비슷한 방사 패턴을 보였다.

Numerical Investigation of Flow-pattern and Flow-induced Noise for Two Staggered Circular Cylinders in Cross-flow by LBM

  • The flowfield behind two cylinders and flow-induced noise generated from the cylinders in various arrangement are numerically investigated based on the finite difference lattice Boltzmann model with 21 velocity bits. which is introduced a flexible specific heat ${\gamma}$ to simulate diatomic gases like air. In an isolated cylinder with two type of mesh. some flow parameters such as Strouhal number $S_t$ and acoustic pressure ${\Delta}p$ simulated from the solution are given and quantitatively compared with those provided the previous works. The effects of the center-to-center pitch ratio $L_{cc}/d=2.0$ in staggered circular cylinders as shown in Fig. 1 and angles of incidence ${\alpha}=30^{\circ}(T_{cc}/d=0.5)$, $45^{\circ}(T_{cc}/d =0.707)$ and $60^{\circ}\;(T_{cc}/d=0.866)$, respectively, are studied. Our analysis focuses on the small-scale instabilities of vortex shedding, which occurs in staggered arrangement. With the results of drag $C_d$ and lift $C_l$ coefficients and vorticity contours. the mechanisms of the interference phenomenon and its interaction with the two-dimensional vortical structures are present in the flowfields under $Re\;{\le}\;200$. The results show that we successively capture very small pressure fluctuations, with the same frequency of vortex shedding, much smaller than the whole pressure fluctuation around pairs of circular cylinders. The upstream cylinder behaves like an isolated single cylinder, while the downstream one experiences wake-induced flutter. It is expected that, therefore, the relative position of the downstream cylinder has significant effects on the flow-induce noise, hydrodynamic force and vortex shedding characteristics of the cylinders.
