Influential Factors of Social Entrepreneurial Intention in Bangladesh

  • The concept of social entrepreneurship (SE) is gaining attention in developing economies for the purpose of greater societal welfare maximization. Still, findings in the field of SE studies have been riddled with conflicting results and counterstatement. Also, the determinants of developing SE are not robustly investigated in developing economies like Bangladesh. This context has mobilized the authors of this current study to focus on determining student's intention to pursue SE as their career choice. Hence, the study aims to examine the predictive determinants of social entrepreneurial intentions (SEI) among Bangladeshi students. The study has investigated the influence of entrepreneurial self-efficacy, social support, prior experience, and educational support on SEI. The survey was conducted from a public university of Bangladesh, and 231 students participated in the study. Questionnaire items under each construct variable have been adopted from pre-tested research studies. Five-point Likert scale questionnaire was applied to measure the variables. SPSS version 23.0 has been used for statistical analysis through which correlation and multiple regression analysis were conducted to measure the impact of the independent variables on SEI. Results exhibited that self-efficacy, social support, and educational support positively and significantly predicted SEI, while prior experience does not influence SEI.

  • Prior research in medical service field have mainly focused on service quality, satisfaction, and choice attributes of hospital. However, a little research has been done on "Which service quality attributes are more preferred by customer motivation(customer regulatory focus)". This study examines how regulatory focus affects the structural impact relationships of service quality and emotion(quiescence) on perceived value in medical service context. Especially, this research draws the moderating effects of regulatory focus between medical service quality, emotion, and perceived value. The Results were summarized as follows: The relative impacts of medical service quality on customer emotion are different depending upon the regulatory focus. Hospital reputation is shown to be more important factors in prevention-oriented customer, while physical environment is the case in promotion-oriented customer. The relative impacts of medical service quality and emotion on perceived value are different depending upon the regulatory focus. Hospital reputation, convenience, and accessibility are shown to be more important factors in promotion-oriented customer, while physical environment is more important in prevention-oriented customer. Also, emotion has a positive influence on perceived value in prevention-oriented customer, whereas the effect of emotion is not significant in promotion-oriented customer.

Effects of Financial Rewards, Parents and Peers, and Benefits and Costs on Choosing Accounting Career: A Global Perspective

  • One of the concerns that have received substantial interest in the accounting field, in particular, in accounting education, is the increasing scarcity and demand for professional accountants around the globe. This study aims to investigate the effects of financial rewards (FR), parents' and peers' influence (PPIF), and benefits and cost (BCE) on students' intention to pursue a career in accounting. A quantitative, convenient random sampling approach was used, and an online survey was conducted to collect data from students studying in China. A total of 311 valid responses were used for model testing based on the theory of reasoned action and the theory of planned behavior. The findings of the study include the positive effects of FR, PPIF, and BCE on accounting career choice (ACC). This study illustrates that FR is the most dominant factor (β=0.479) for influencing ACC. Furthermore, the used factor explained 70% variation in ACC. The results of the study have implications both for accounting firms and universities whether offering or not offering accounting as a major. This study provides a global perspective, which keeps this study unique from other studies. And in this study, the Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) has been used which is randomly used in accounting research.

  • 本文研究共同特性对于无选择权的影响, 并涉及到了调节焦点理论. 本文主要着眼于这三个因子以及他们之间的关系. 之前的研究已经广泛涉及到这三个方面. 第一, 共同特性影响已经被广为研究. Tversky (1972) 开创了这个理论, EBA 模型: 通过消除方面. 根据这个理论, 消费者在比较的过程中更易于注意特殊的特性, 而忽略共同特性. 最近, 更多的研究开始针对于此模型对于消费者行为的影响. Chernev (1997) 认为增加共同特性可以减少选择距离. 但是, 随后Chernev (2001) 的研究指出共同特性可能是消费者认知上的负担, 所以他们更喜欢启发式的过程而不是系统式的过程. 这些研究提出了一系列问题: 共同特性是否影响顾客选择? 如果是的话, 这些影响是什么样子的? 第二, 一些研究指出没有选择的状况是消费者最好的选择, 他们在犹豫不决时用这种方法回避选择. 其他关于这一理论的研究是时间的压力, 消费者自信, 以及可供选择的数量. 第三, 调节聚焦理论在目前非常流行. 消费者有两个焦点目标: 促进和制止. 促进聚焦主要和希望, 野心, 成功, 获得等有关; 而制止聚焦和责任, 职责, 安全, 规避等有关. 调节聚焦理论预测了顾客的感情, 创造, 态度, 记忆, 表现, 和判断. 而这些都是市场营销研究的领域这些文献为本文的研究提供了一些理论支持. 特别是增加共同特征而不是忽略他们可以增加选择过程中克制消费者的没有选择状况的比重, 其对于促进消费者的作用确实相反的. 本文通过两个试验进行验证. 第一个是2 X 2 组间的设计(共同特性X调节聚焦), 数码相机作为相关的客体. 特别的是, 调节聚焦变量是从11个问题中取得的. 共同特性包括焦距, 重量, 记忆卡, 电池, 而像素和价格作为独特特性. 结果证明了我们的假设, 那就是增加共同特性增加了克制消费者的无选择比重, 而对促进消费者没有作用. 第二个试验被用来复制第一个实验的结果. 这个实验和之前的基本相同, 只有两个方面不同—主要控制和研究客体. 在促进的前提下, 研究对象必须一些词例如: 利润, 野心, 高兴, 成功, 发展等. 在克制的前提下, 他们必学写下坚持, 安全, 保护, 规避, 损失, 责任等词. 实验证明我们假设是成立的. 本研究说明了共同特性对于顾客选择的二重效果. 增加共同特性可以提高或者降低无选择状况. 本文对于理论研究和实践上都有着贡献. 对于市场营销人员来说, 他们可能需要根据顾客的划分来考虑产品的共同特性. 理论上, 研究结果支持共同特性和无选择状况的调节变量. 最后, 本文也有一些不足, 例如过于强调态度的重要性等. 我们希望本文能够为未来的研究做出抛砖引玉的作用.

  • The credit card system has been introduced as a new sales method in the marketing field in Daegu city since 1978. In order to increase its efficiency of distribution channel. we should like to find the better ways in the credit card system. For this study, we choice randomly 420 persons credit card holders of a department store in Daegu city. Since the credit card holders purchase products and obtain the utility and satisfactions. salesmen should establish the improvement strategis to meet needs and desires of credit card holders. we conclude that the establishment of the management systems should be based on the management concepts of modern marketing for consumer profit. Than the advantages of credit card sale should not only be recognized but also to translated into material gains by its successful utilization. When credit card sale would come to this, I believe that credit card sale will be helpful for business men activity and consumer's life.

  • This study has the purpose of providing a framework for analyzing problems of institutional choice, illustrating the complex configuration of variables that must be addressed when individuals in field settings attempt to fashion rules to improve their individual and joint outcomes. The reason for presenting this complex array of variables (i.e., situational variables) as a framework rather than as a model is precisely because one cannot encompass this degree of complexity within a single model. The results of this study imply that it is important for researchers and government officials to understand that appropriators have a certain amount of ability to transform the status quo rules to the alternative rules.

일식 메뉴 안내용 전문가 시스템의 개발 (Development of the Expert System for Guiding Japanese Style Food Menu)

  • A computer expert system for guiding Japanese style meal menu has been developed by using EXSYS Professional which is one of expert system developing software tools. The expert system nunderstands the situations of clients, and can guide the menu as human experts do by its software program with expert knowledge about the meal menu. In developing the expert system, the elements the clients consider when selecting menu were arranged as questions of the expert system, and the final outcome of the expert system resulted in selecting the final menu appropriate for the client demand, weather, health, etc. In hotel, the expert system can be shared by whole restaurants, and be directly a computer guider to the clients to tell the best choice of the menu. Besides, it can be used for various kinds of bangquets and events. Expert system has been developed and studied by business managers, manufactures, medical fields, and military field. But the studies for applying the expert system in the fields of foods have been scare. Through this study, therefore, the expert system is going to be applied more widely in many fields fo food events.

자동차보험시장에서의 브랜드로열티와 브랜드변경행태 (Brand Loyalty and Brand Switching Behavior in Car Insurance Market)

  • In this paper, an approach for analyzing brand loyalty and brand switching behavior in car insurance market is presented. A two-choice model by Blumen, et al. that uses Markov chain is adopted as a main technique for estimating brand parameters. Survey data have been collected through personal interviews with questionnaires. Following the application of the model to the data, it is found that there are five leading companies in car insurance market where the number of potential brand switchers is larger than that of brand loyal customers. Therefore, differentiation of this product along with the conversion of this low-involvement product to a high-involvement one could make car insurance stand out against a somewhat undifferentiated field of competitors.

중국고객 해외의료관광국가 선택의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 구전 조절효과를 중심으로 (Factors Influencing Chinese Customers' Selection of Health Care Service Countries: Focusing on Word-of-Mouth Moderating Effects)

  • Purpose - Given globalization, the new niche market of medical tourism is likely to experience sustainable growth for various reasons, such as aging populations and a shift in the medical consumerism paradigm toward prevention. Importantly, understanding medical customers' behavior is necessary to benefit from a competitive advantage in this industry. The existing research primarily accessed the key factors of medical quality and costs to explain health customers' behavior but is limited in terms of enabling an understanding of the decision process. This limitation exists because, given the intangibility and greater associated risks in the highly professional industry of international medical tourism, most customers lack the knowledge and experience needed to evaluate the central factors-such as the medical competence of health care countries-before purchases. Therefore, they actively search for useful information through various distributions to reduce uncertainty and to make better choices. Interestingly, most of these information channels are associated with word-of-mouth (WOM). However, no evidence is found in the literature to estimate the effect of WOM in the medical tourism field. Thus, this study focuses on WOM to explore its interaction with key medical characteristic factors and the attractiveness of destinations referred to by sources. This study also affects customers' evaluations and, in turn, influences their intention to seek health care services abroad. Research design, data, and methodology - The literature review addressed an interesting research model for estimating the relations among WOM, medical characteristics, attractiveness, and customers' choice intention regarding international health care. In the key economic regions in China, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Shandong, and Guangdong, 2,500 survey questionnaires were distributed to potential customers of different ages, education, and income levels. A resulting 1,717 (68.68 percent of the original 2,500) usable surveys were obtained for analysis. Moderated regression analysis was used to determine the effects of WOM in the decision process regarding international health care destinations. Results - The results indicate that WOM is a good moderator of the relationships between the factors evaluated by sources and customers. More importantly, the WOM effects reflect the factors of tie strength, credibility, and vividness. The results also reveal that, given the moderating role of WOM, the intention of potential Chinese customers to seek the referred health care country varies according to the medical characteristics of medical competency and reputation as evaluated by customers. In contrast, the travel attractiveness of the attractions, facilities, accessibility, and social environment are critical determinants of destination choice intention. Conclusions - The moderating role of WOM has been confirmed through the international healthcare destination selection process. Medical tourism managers should user WOM as an effective marketing tool for industry development. Specially, marketers should consider the effects of WOM determinants, such as tie strength, credibility, and vividness, to develop an effective strategy. Furthermore, this study estimates the factors that affect customers' selection of medical tourism destinations. Health care managers or policy makers should consider a broad variety of variables that may attract more Chinese customers to international health care.

색이름 디지털 검색체계의 실용팔레트 연구 (Practical use palette research of color name digitl search system)

  • 산업디자이너에게 있어서 색채의 선정과 사용은 매우 중요한 분야이다. 현재 색채는 디자인 업무의 주변조건에서 핵심적인 분야로 도약하였다. 색채는 감성, 관리, 심리의 세 가지 분야 로 주로 사용된다. 그러나 사용상에 있어서는 세 가지 분야 모두를 포함하여 실질적인 디자인을 하게 된다. 국내 색채디자인의 현실로 볼 때 기초적인 연구를 기반으로 한 실용적인 연구분야는 낙후된 실정이다. 특히 색채 감성분야와 색채관리 분야는 대우 중요한 분야이며 이 중에서도 색 이름과 관계된 영역이 가장 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 색 이름은 감성과 관리 를 포함하기 때문이다. 본 연구는 기존에 발표되거나 공식적으로 기록된 국제적으로 호환되는 색 이름을 모두 조사, 분석하고 검색하여 정확한 데이터를 구축하는 것이다. 결과적으로 색 이름을 이용하여 아이디어의 창출과 디자인의 결과물 생산시 정확성을 기하기 위함이다. 연구에 사용된 국내 자료로는 한국산업규격, 관련문헌, 현장조사 등 근거 있는 색채를 중심으로 조사하고 국제적인 자료로는 미국의 ISCC-NBS를 기반으로 일본, 유럽 등의 각 나라의 공식적 자료를 모두 취합하는 기본 조사 연구를 실시하였다. 조사 결과 약 11,000개의 색 이름과 33,000개의 색 이름을 수집 분류하였다. 수집법과 분류법은 국제 기호에 따르고 사용자 중심으로 배열하였다. 또한 산업 디자인 실무에 도움이 될 수 있도록 사용빈도가 높은 색채 체계인 Munsell, RGB, CMYK, XYZ 등 모든 국제규격 색값을 표기하여 디자인의 각 분야에서 모두 적용 될 수 있도록 활용성을 높였다. 현재 한국산업디자인진흥원의 홈페이지에서 운용 중이며, 폐속 개선과 발전을 해나가며 더욱 가치 있는 연구가 될 것이다.
