We often feel the necessity to communicate with members involved in a project to remote discuss business activities, needs for the fast file transfer, and check the existence of members to talk with. There are some commercial applications in these problems. However, in addition to those existing functions, this study focuses especially on adding couple of functions such as automatic responding function, in which a sender of a message automatically knows if a receiver checks the message. Its application is that a project leader sends an important message and later on can check at his desk the fact that who have checked their messages. The prototype application, build in this study, will check the correctness of every sub-function, and then the interface of inter-sub-functions, finally the integrity of the entire system, so that important information will not be lost among members of a project in the real world situation.

In this paper, we obtain two general laws of precise asymptotics for sums of i.i.d random variables, which contain general weighted functions and boundary functions and also clearly show the relationship between the weighted functions and the boundary functions. As corollaries, we obtain Theorem 2 of Gut and Spataru [A. Gut and A. Sp$\check{a}$taru, Precise asymptotics in the law of the iterated logarithm, Ann. Probab. 28 (2000), no. 4, 1870-1883] and Theorem 3 of Gut and Sp$\check{a}$taru [A. Gut and A. Sp$\check{a}$taru, Precise asymptotics in the Baum-Katz and Davids laws of large numbers, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 248 (2000), 233-246].

In this paper, an asynchronous nonvolatile memory module using a self-diagnosis function was designed. For the system to work, a lot of data must be input/output, and memory that can be stored is required. The volatile memory is fast, but data is erased without power, and the nonvolatile memory is slow, but data can be stored semi-permanently without power. The non-volatile static random-access memory is designed to solve these memory problems. However, the non-volatile static random-access memory is weak external noise or electrical shock, data can be some error. To solve these data errors, self-diagnosis algorithms were applied to non-volatile static random-access memory using error correction code, cyclic redundancy check 32 and data check sum to increase the reliability and accuracy of data retention. In addition, the possibility of application to an asynchronous non-volatile storage system requiring reliability was suggested.

Checklist method is rapid and comprehensive to evaluate in practice. Check items are commonly rated by subjective utility function; i.e., evaluator's significant judgment. Since human judgment includes fuzziness (vagueness) inherently in spite of its significance, fuzzy set theory is useful in this case. The paper illustrates a evaluation method using fuzzy checklist where check items are rated as fuzzy numbers. Pairwise comparison data is used to determine the weights of check items, since it has comparative advantage for human's fuzzy judgment. Sample of BASIC program is provided for microcomputer. When uncertainty is due to subjectivity or imprecision of data, this method can be applied to practical problems widely.

In spite of its simple design, structure and operating mechanism, swing check valves are one of the critical components which adversely affect the safety of the nuclear power plants if they fail to function properly. Therefore, it is important to evaluate the performance condition of the swing check valves in safety-related systems. The performance characteristics of swing check valves include opening characteristics, the minimum required flow velocity, the pressure drop at design flow, the disc stability, and the effect of the upstream disturbances. Among factors to identify the performance of a swing check valve, a method to evaluate the opening characteristics and the minimum required flow velocity, which guarantees to fully open the disc and hold the disc without motion, are presented to determine the operating region of the swing check valve, such as stable, tapping, or oscillation. Based on the determined operating region and opening characteristics, the simple methods of wear and fatigue analyses of the specific parts of the valve are also described.

The purpose of this study is examining a circulation and conflict of concepts and logics of the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness by analysing the $Chos{\check{o}}n$ national character and $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness. As entering the modern period, we understood the nations as a unit of the artistic awareness. So, national art is defined as a national character expression from this period. The $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness by raising in this period, which is connected with the discourse of national character, carry out a discussional practice defining the Korean originality. However, there is a circulation and conflict of concepts and logics about the $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness in the process of a discussion. For the most representative examples are 'the white-clad folk' and 'the beauty of sorrow'. An Hwak and Yanagi Muneyoshi are representative debaters who try to establish the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness and their discussion supports these facts. As An Hwak regressing of the respect for high antiquity, he demolished the historical character from the $Chos{\check{o}}n$-ness and overlooked aesthetic differences by a periodical change. Yanagi Muneyoshi totally separates arts from politics and disposes of Korean arts in an abstract timeless-space. The function of such an early-modern period's discourse about $Chos{\check{o}}n$ aesthetic consciousness is that $Chos{\check{o}}n$ national character makes the dehistoricization and depoliticization.

Recent building structures are superior in its ability but they are light and flexible, and so have problems of vibration. In general, the problem of vertical vibration is not considered in structural design. However, in terms of serviceability for inhabitants in buildings, the estimation of vibration in design stage is important. Characteristics of vertical vibration is changed by modeling method of beam-column joint. To check the characteristics of vertical vibration, many tests and analyses were conducted on constructing building in Seoul. Results of tests and analyses were compared using transfer function. As a results, to check the vertical vibration, the cramp ratio of beam-column joint must be considered and reduced in structural design.

본 연구는 중소기업들의 경쟁력을 증대하기 위하여 평가진단 체크시트 모델을 개발하는 것이다. 평가진단 체크시트 개발 절차는 사전조사(주력기업 조사, 업종특징 분석. 핵심기능 선정 등), 연구개발(핵심기능 체크시트 개발, 핵심기능 향상도구 개발)순으로 진행하였다. 평가모델은 5개 부문(비전과 전략체계, 품질보증과 제품안전, 현장관리 수준, 통계적 공정관리, 개선활동)으로 대별한 후, 각 부문별로 1)인식, 2)체계, 3)운영, 4)검토 및 보완의 4가지 내용으로 구분하여 구성하였다. 본 평가모델은 특히 지방자치단체 내에 산재해 있는 중소기업 중에서 주력 중소기업을 선정하여 집중 육성하는데 많은 기여를 하게 될 것으로 기대되며, 이를 통해 해당 중소기업의 경쟁력이 향상될 것으로 판단된다.

Tongmu I Je-ma(1837-1900) set up Sasang Constitutional Medicine(四象體質醫學), a medical theory that would be original in the Korean medical history through his book ${\ll}$Tang-uisusebowon(東醫壽世保元)${\gg}$. In this book, he writes that he found the clue to his sasang Constitution(四象體質) theory from ${\ll}$Hwangjenaegyong(黃帝內經)${\gg}$. But the main logic that gives shape to the Constitution(體質) theory is $s{\check{o}}ng-ch{\check{o}}ng$ theory(性情論) of Confucian. Therefore, Tongmu(東武)'s Constitution $s{\check{o}}ng-ch{\check{o}}ng$ theory(體質性情論) is fundamentally based on confucian thoughts. Kongmaeng(孔孟) saw $s{\check{o}}ng$(性) as a base for connecting the entire mankind to be united, and $ch{\check{o}}ng$(情) as a individual thing that can exalted differently according to one's state of mind. Chuja(朱子) weakene the human's active volition by dividing $s{\check{o}}ng$ and $ch{\check{o}}ng$ as ibal(理發) and kibal(氣發) and therefore describing mankind to be submitted to Heaven's will. On the other hand Yolgok(栗谷) generalized $s{\check{o}}ng-ch{\check{o}}ng$ in the active mind of man himself by saying that $s{\check{o}}ng$ is when i-ki(理氣) does not act as a bodily function of the mind and $ch{\check{o}}ng$ is when it does. Furthennore he emphasized man's activeness on pursuing good by saying that the division of good and bad does not start from the origin of motion but is divided by the condition of ki(氣) which leads motion. Tongmu, who was influenced by Yulgok linked both $s{\check{o}}ng$and $ch{\check{o}}ng$ through, happiness, anger, sadness, pleasure(喜怒哀樂), and saw $s{\check{o}}ng$ as the ability to recognize good which is in the kijil(氣質) formed from the integration of i-ki, and saw $ch{\check{o}}ng$ as $s{\check{o}}ng$ blurred by man's greed. In addition to this, he says that the direct connection between each person's divergence in $s{\check{o}}ng-ch{\check{o}}ng$ and the condition of Four-organ(四臟) which is ki, not the mind which is i(理) forms sasangch'ejirin(四象體質人). His theory that illness comes from the partiality of $s{\check{o}}ng-ch{\check{o}}ng$ and therefore can prevent this by clarifying the mind and adjusting $s{\check{o}}ng-ch{\check{o}}ng$ through volition, has led Korean oriental medicine to be human based.

설계VE 활동작업 중 대상의 기능을 철저하게 분석할 수 있는 기능분석 활동은 그 중요성에도 불구하고 수행자의 인식부족, 분석방법에 대한 어려움 및 설계VE 활동 시간적 제약 등의 이유로 활동 자체가 약화, 변형되거나, 생략되는 경우가 발생하고 있다. 이와 같이 기능분석이 변형된 VE활동은 아이디어 창출과정에 있어서 기능부분이 약화된채 아이디어의 결과를 창출함으로 신뢰성이 매우 떨어진다고 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 시행되어진 설계VE작업중 기능분석활동 부분을 분석하여 이를 활동유형별로 분류, 그 특징을 파악한다. 이를 통해 기능분석 활동에 대한 올바른 이해를 확립하고, 기능분석 활동의 개선부분을 도출하여 올바른 설계VE 활동을 유도하고자 한다.
