  • Recently, as shared transportation services has expanded, integrated mobility services that link personal transportation and public transportation are paid attention. To do this, it is necessary to analyze trip mode chaining behavior. This study analyzed the characteristics of the trip mode chaining behavior using the 2010 travel diary survey in Seoul, and analyzed factors to affect mode choice of trip chaining through the multinomial logit model. The transportation means were classified into passenger cars, city buses, intercity buses, railways, taxis, and others, and 25 trip mode chaining types were identified. Among them, the trip share connected between city bus and railways was the highest. It was also found that the trip mode chaining occurred mainly at commuting and in the morning and afternoon peak. According to the model results, the mode choice of trip chaining is significantly influenced by individual attributes (sex and age), household attributes (car ownership and income), trip attributes (trip purpose, trip time and trip length), and arrival area attributes (number of subway lines and bus lines, ratio of commercial area, land use mix and central region).

  • Korea exported the passenger cars(HS 8703) such as key export item 41billion dollars in 2011. But the Korea's representative enterprises which bound forward in the global markets, have a tough time in the Japanese markets alone, and especially, they hardly sell key items such as automobiles. Japan is the third largest automobile market sold annually 5 millions, despite its long-term depression. At this time of point, analyzing the competition structure of the automobile market and proposing the strategies of the Korean enterprises's export to Japan would be a great academic contribution. This study analyzed the Japanese automobile market by the method of upper enterprises' Concentration Ratio($CR_k$) based on J. S. Bain's SCP paradigm and the literature study on the characteristics of the Japanese market by Itami Hiroyuki. As a result, in the Japanese automobile market, it is very likely that there exist market dominating enterprises, but at the same time, the movement of change also could be grasped between Japanese car makers. Accordingly, the cross-leveraging distribution strategy, brand strategy and Japan specification(designed for Japan) development strategy of the Korean enterprises' export to Japan which can respond to the change of the Japanese automobile markets were proposed.

  • The regional industry promotion system, which seeks to link the characteristics and resources of the region to its core strategic industry, is spreading the industrial resources in the form of an organic network. The Seosan-Daesan Port is the only port in the Chungcheong provinces that is equipped with international passenger dock and terminal, and it will soon have a ferry service operating to the Longyan port in Rongcheng, China in 2018. The study focuses on effects of the first international ferry operation in the provinces that are being realized with the aim of developing the regional industry. The study also analyzes the ripple effects on the tourism and port industries in the provinces by tapping into the 2013 regional inter-industry table. The analysis shows that the scheduled ferry operation will generate 47,815 million won in production and 23,423 million won in added value for the region's tourism industry. It will also generate total revenue of 12,567 million won for the port industry driven by the locally handled freight containers and the added value. Currently, the Korea-China ferry operation in other regions exhibits greater dependence on the cargo than the passengers. Thus, for the international ferry operation to and from Seosan, generating maximum employment in tourism from the passengers of the international ferry operation will require strategic marketing to attract tourists. At the same time, a steady supply of cargo needs to be sustained by maintaining a balance between import and export cargoes. Furthermore, greater efforts should be made to create more sea routes than other regions or to increase voyages for the purpose of generating more added value.
