This research investigated the purchasing behaviors of fur clothing consumers to verify fur clothing consumption and to establish marketing strategies for the fur clothing market. Since fur clothing has clear characteristics distinguishing it from other clothes, there are many differences in customers' interest. Therefore, it is needed to identify some differences in the customers' interest by their own buying habits. A survey was conducted with a questionnaire and revised by using a theoretical background. Questionnaires were given to 322 ladies in their over 20s. SPSS 12.0 was used to analyse the result with analysis of frequency, a primary factor, crossing, cluster and ANOVA. There were several results as follows. First, purchase behaviors of fur clothing were significantly different between groups divided by demographic variables such as marital status, age, and income level of household. Second, factor analysis on sought clothing benefits resulted in 4 dimensions such as symbolic value, brand value, economical value and practical value. Cluster analysis on the 4 factors of clothing benefits being sought resulted in 3 groups such as one group pursuing symbolism, one group pursuing practicism/economism and a group pursuing brand. Third, purchase behaviors of fur clothing and demographic variables were significantly different between the groups divided by clothing benefits being sought.
This study conducted a performance evaluation of protective clothing materials used for welding in a hazardous shipbuilding industry work environment. The welding process was selected as the one that most requires industrial protective clothing according to work environment characteristics. Flame proofing and convection heat protection performance (HTI) in the heat transfer characteristics of protective clothing material were indicated in the order of SW1(Oxidant carbon)>SW2(silica coated Oxidant carbon)>SW4(Oxidant carbon/p-aramid)>SW3(flame proofing cotton). However, radiant heat protection performance (RHTI) and the heat transfer factor (TF) were indicated in the order of SW1>SW4>SW2>SW3 and showed different patterns from the convection heat protection performance. SW1 showed superior air permeability and water vapor permeability. The tensile strength and tear strength of welding protective clothing material were indicated in the order of SW4>SW2>SW3>SW1 and showed that a blend fabric of p-aramid was the most superior for the mechanical properties of SW4. SW1 had excellent heat transfer properties in yet met the minimum performance requirements of tensile strength proved to be inappropriate as being a material for welding protective clothing. The abrasion resistance of woven fabric proved superior compared to nonwoven fabric; however, seam strength and dimensional change both met the minimum performance requirements and indicated that all samples appeared non-hazardous. Finally, oxidant carbon/p-aramid blend fabric appeared appropriate as a protective clothing materials for welding.
The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship of clothing involvement and clothing buying behavior of women. A questionnaire was developed to measure clothing involvement, clothing purchasing motives, clothing purchasing criteria, fashion information sources, store selection criteria, and demographic characteristics. The questionnaire was administered to 430 female adults in Taegu. The data were analyzed using percentage, frequency, factor analysis, and t-test. The results of the study were s follows: 1. Subjects were divided into low clothing involved and high clothing involved groups. 2. Three dimensions of clothing purchasing motives were derived by factor analysis such as Aesthetic dependant, Impulsive, and Practical motive. Clothing purchasing criteria were factor analysed as Aesthetic, Qualitative, External, and Economical criterion. Fashion information sources were factor analysed as Printed & audio-visual oriented media, Marketer intensive search, Store search, Observation & Interpersonal search, and Experience. Store selection criteria were factor analyzed as Merchandise & Store atmosphere, Store convenience, and Brand & fashion. 3. There were significant differences between high involved and low involved consumers in clothing purchasing behavior. The high involved consumers showed more importance than low involved consumers about purchasing criteria expecially in aesthetic dependant. The high involved consumers put more importance to aesthetic, qualitative, and external criterion as clothing purchasing criteria. The high involved information sources. The high involved consumers were more concerned about merchandise & store atmosphere, and brand & fashion than low involved consumers in store selection criteria.
The purposes of this study were to investigate and to compare the actual state of clothing gift giving behavior according to gender. A survey using questionnaire was conducted on 417 university students in the Cheongju area, Korea. The questionnaire was composed of questions concerning demographic factors, clothing gift giving behavior and purchasing behavior, and of multiple choice and 5-point scales depending on the characteristics of the questions. Frequency, descriptive analysis, x$^2$-test and t-test were used for a data analysis. Most of the students had experience of giving the clothing for a gift more than once during the year. They usually purchased the clothing for their parents and Fiends. The items of clothing were low purchasing risk items like sweater, T-shirts, underwear and shirts or blouse. The main reason for purchasing clothing gift for their parents and friends was based on mostly practical motivation.
The purposes of this study are to investigate what star marketing is and to examine whether star marketing influences clothing purchase behavior of adolescents or not. The concept and the instances of star marketing were reviewed and the characteristics and clothing behavior of adolescence were analyzed. The data were obtained from questionnaires completed by 341 middle and high school students and analyzed by frequency, t-test, chi-square test, cluster analysis, ANOVA, and Scheffe test. The Cronbach's alphas were calculated for the internal consistency. The results of the study are as follows. The sample was classified into three groups(high interest/high awareness group, high interest/low awareness group, and low interest/low awareness group) by the interest of TV watching and TV stars, the identification with TV stars, and the awareness and the interest of star marketing. There were significant differences in clothing purchase motives, the use of information sources, clothing buying places, clothing purchase frequency, and clothing expenditure among three groups.

In order to examine the characteristics of brassiere products for the 1924 generation brands on the market and grasp problems, we selected three 'comparative brassieres', each one from among the 1924 underwear brands with the highest recognition and sales profit, and then designed a 'sample brassiere' pattern(75A) with a similar shape to the comparative brassieres. We set up the "New Cup Grading Rule" with a view of reflecting the wearing effect that was varied according to cup sizes, graded the sizes of 75AA and 75B with this method, and made the sample brassieres in three sizes. We conducted the wearing evaluation and body measurements of 9 subjects after analyzing the patterns and characteristics of the sample brassieres and three comparative brassieres. As a result of the wearing evaluation, the sample and comparative brassiere 2, the dimensions and shapes were appropriate for the 1924 generation consumers and expressed an overall natural silhouette, showed satisfactory results in the entire evaluation questions. On the other hand, the comparative brassiere 1 and 3 that tended toward making a big change in the physical characteristics got unsatisfactory evaluations in the dimensions of the cups, clothing pressure, and bust silhouette. As a result of observing the variation in body dimensions by body measurements when nude and when wearing each brassiere and then summing it up with the score of the wearing evaluation, it was proven that too much change in body shape can create a negative image by upsetting the balance of the whole silhouette. Therefore, it is desirable to develop brassiere products with proper dimensions and clothing pressure that can make a physical change that harmonizes the overall bust silhouette and the position and shape of the breasts.

Clothes for a 3 to 6 year-old toddler should be made in consideration of their behavioral characteristics since it is when the physical ability of toddlers has rapidly developed and their social, emotional, and cognitive development are increasingly active. Indoor clothes are the item that consumers prefer because they provide the function of outside underwear when functioning as outerwear when indoors that is used frequently for toddlers. We analyzed the wearing condition and the uncomfortable aspects of toddler's clothes worn indoors through consumer surveys of toddler wear. This study gathers data for the development of indoor clothing that is useful for 3-6 year old toddlers. Consumer surveys indicate that the clothes most worn indoors were underwear (69.4%). The most important aspect in the selection of indoor clothes was the suitability for activities (29%). The preferred colors for indoor clothes were found to be pastel-tone colors (66%). Regarding the uncomfortable aspects of indoor clothes, knees of the clothes (36.8%) have the most naps and the breast of the clothes (37.8%) dirty quickly. Knee parts (35.4%) become worn easily; in addition, the material for the knee area is likely to have naps and require special functions. In conclusion, designing toddler clothing requires elaborated design techniques that consider the characteristics of the subject group and reduce inconveniences. This study will serve as preliminary data to develop ultimate products that have the functionality to meet gender behavior characteristics and the aesthetics for toddlers 3 to 6 years of age.
The purposes of this study are to segment female X-generation consumers by the types of conspicuous clothing consumption behavior and to examine the differences among consumer groups with self-respect, the influence of reference group, materialism, and demographic characteristics. A questionnaire was developed and 18-35 year female living in Seoul responded to a questionnaire. The 499 subjects were analyzed. The results can be summarized as follows : Respondents divided into five consumption groups. such as non-conspicuous clothing consumption group, fashion-oriented clothing consumption group, well-known brand and expensive clothing consumption group, imitation c1othing in well-known brand consumption group and imported clothing consumption group. This study was initiated by focusing on the characteristics of 3D virtual clothing utilized by fashion brands aiming for sustainability. The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of fashion brands that utilize 3D virtual imagery to mitigate environmental pollution caused by the fashion industry from the perspective of green design. The research methodology draws on green design literature and analyzes three hypothetical cases. These include experiential immersive design, design that rewards engagement, and design that delivers economic benefits that were utilized by fashion brands from 2019 to 2023. The findings and conclusions are as follow. First, the for the commercialization of virtual clothing, offline stores are reproduced in the digital world to provide an immersive shopping experience, similar to reality. These promote fashion products in a virtual space without the constraints of space and time, and creates profits and sustainable value. Second, virtual clothing promotes playfulness. Games and events utilize branded virtual worlds and characters to attract users. Rewards are given for achieving goals, and it is a practice of green marketing that uses virtual items to express products and minimize resource waste. Third, virtual clothing is affordable and can reduce the financial burden on consumers by digitally reproducing expensive products as physical brand collections at an acceptable price point. This reduces environmental pollution, saves physical resources, and increases the utilization of virtual clothing by providing a convenient way to purchase. This study is a basic study that examines the current status and characteristics of fashion brands' use of 3D virtual imagery from the perspective of green design based on literature and case analysis, and follow-up studies are expected on empirical virtual imagery activation measures through interviews or surveys with users for each case.
This study investigates consumer opinions of clothing care and provides fundamental data to decision-making for oncoming development of clothing care system. Textom, a web-matrix program, was used to analyze big data collected from Naver and Daum with a keyword of "clothing care" from March 2019 to February 2020. A total of 22, 187 texts were shown from the big data collection. Collected big data were analyzed using text-mining, network, and CONCOR analysis. The results of this study were as follows. First, many keywords related to clothing care were shown from the result of frequency analysis such as style, Dryer, LG Electronics, Product, Customer, Clothing, and Styler. Consumers were well recognizing and having an interest in recent information related to the clothing care system. Second, various keywords such as product, function, brand, and performance, were linked to each other which were fundamentally related to the clothing care. The interest in products of the clothing care system were linked to product brands that were also naturally linked to consumer interest. Third, the keywords in the network showed similar attributes from the result of CONCOR analysis that were classified into 4 groups such as the characteristics of purchase, product, performance, and interest. Lastly, positive emotions including goodwill, interest, and joy on the clothing care system were strongly expressed from the result of the sentimental analysis.
