Numerical simulation is performed for stagnating turbulent flows of impinging and countercurrent jets by the Reynolds stress model(RSM). Results are compared with those of the ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ model and available data to assess the flow characteristics and turbulence modes. Three variants of the RSM tested are those of Gibson and Launder(GL), Craft and Launder(GL-CL) and Speziale, Sarkar and Gatski(SSG). As well known, the ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ model overestimates turbulent kinetic energy near the wall significantly. Although the RSM is superior to the ${\kappa}-{\varepsilon}$ model, it shows considerable difference according to how the redistributive pressure-strain term is modeled. Results of the RSM for countercurrent jets are improved with the modified coefficients for the dissipation rate, $C_{{\varepsilon}1}\;and\;C_{{\varepsilon}2}$ suggested by Champion and Libby. The performance of the three variants of the RSM model for stagnating flows are assessed.

Date palm (Phoenix dactylifera) is an important fruit and cash crop in Sultanate of Oman, occupying nearly 60% of the total cultivated area. However, leaf spots caused by Mycosphaerella tassiana, Alternaria spp., and Dreshcleri sp. have become a threat to date palm's cultivation in recent years. In this study, a field experiment was conducted to find out a suitable chemical spray program to control the disease. A prophylactic spray schedule with mancozeb (Dithane M45), copper oxychloride (Champion), and mancozeb+copper (Trimiltox) effectively controlled the disease when applied at a time when the disease severity index (DSI) was low, ranging from 0 to 1.68. Meanwhile, the disease did not decrease, but instead increased gradually, when the fungicide combination was applied when DSI was high, ranging from 1.78 to 5.37. It was concluded that fungicides should be applied at the early stage or before disease initiation in order to control the disease effectively.

This study was analyzed based on the core competencies that Small Giant enterprises to foster the goals of growth of SMEs mid-sized businesses rather than Global Small Giant enterprises of the business model for a causal relationship. As the result, the average age, sales and number of employees of Korean small giants were 20.6 years, 148.8 billion won and 312.1. This research investigated that Korean small giants were realizing the sustainable growth with the firm shares in the target markets, based on added values in groups and technical powers, although their average age is one third younger than global small giants. The further research needs to develop and select small giants more precisely and strictly. It is expected that small giants will be new growth engines to improve global competitiveness of Korea.

Although actual business environment is getting difficult and hard, IT companies tend to shy away from of annual investment. Many firms have already reached the 25 percent level. However, the profit and the result of their annual investment needs to be evaluated objectively. IT investment analysis usually proceeds by comparing benefits and costs of an IT investment. Much of the problem derives from the historical treatment of IT as an overhead expense rather than a capital asset. What is most worrying about the current situation is the pressure to take a very short-term view of IT. Therefore, this research aims to analyses and justify the necessity of Visionary IT Investment. For this, it is crucial to identify the factors, which affect positively Visionary IT Investment and understand the role of CIO and explain the result of Visionary IT Investment, which is differed to related business and by different business environment. As a result of this study, the legitimacy of IT Investment is proved through analyzing the business value of not investing and cost-avoidance strategies.

To obtain the surface roughness with nano order, we need a ultra-precision machine, cutting condition, and materials. In this paper, the cutting condition for getting nano order smooth surface of core have been examined experimentally by the ultra-precision machine and diamond wheels. The effects of the cutting velocity, the feed rate and depth of cut on the surface roughness were studied. And also, the surface roughness was measured by the Form Talysurf series PGI 840. The champion data of developed core was surface roughness Rmax 24.6nm, figure accuracy Rmax 68.9nm.

독일의 경영학자 헤르만 지몬(Hermann Simon)은 그의 저서 <히든 챔피언(Hidden Champion)>에서 대중에게 잘 알려져 있지 않지만 각 분야의 세계시장을 지배하는 우량 기업을 전 세계에 알렸다. 히든 챔피언에 속하는 기업들은 평균 60년 이상의 기업 수명, 평균매출액 4,300억원, 평균성장률 8.8%, 분야별세계시장 점유율33% 이상이라는 공통점을 지니고 있다고 한다. 수출주도형 국가인 우리나라는 많은 히든 챔피언을 필요로 하지만, 지속되는 경기불황 속에서 중소기업이 세계시장을 이끌어가는 강소기업이 되는 것은 결코 쉬운 일이 아니다. 그런데 우리나라 포장기업 중 히든챔피언이라 부를 만한 기업이 있다. 바로 그라비어인쇄 및 컨버팅기계 전문기업 성안기계(주)이다. 세계 유수의 기업들과 어깨를 나란히 하고 있는 성안기계의 신동호 회장을 만나 경영 철학, 해외시장 공략법 등 성안기계가 강소기업으로 성장한 여정을 들어보았다.

競争が激しいグローバル市場において, 中小企業はどのようにして持続可能な競争優位を獲得するのかという問題を抱えている｡ しかし, 中小企業のグローバル市場における経営課題や戦略の実態についてはわからないことが多い｡ そこで本研究では, 日本の中小企業がグ ローバル市場でどのようにして競争優位を獲得することができるのかについて事例分析を通じて探ることを目的としている｡ 本稿で取り上げるのは, 事務機器 (例：コピー機およびプリンター)で広く使用されているポリイミドトナー定着チューブで世界最高のシェア (40％)を有する I.S.T (Industrial Summit Technology)である｡ I.S.Tがポリイミドトナー定着チューブ製品の開発・販売を通じて, ど のようにしてグローバル市場の競争優位を獲得したのか, その歴史的な展開から明らかにする｡ インタビュー調査からはI.S.Tが競争力のあるグローバルヒドゥンチャンピオン(Global Hidden Champion)になった主要な要因が, コアコンピタンス, 戦略的ネットワーク, リスクマネジメント, 従業員エンゲージメント, 創業者の起業家精神による従業員とのビジョンの 共有といった５つにあることが判明した｡ 企業の将来像を従業員と共有することはグローバルヒドゥンチャンピオンになるための第一歩である｡ しかし, そのためには, 他社と差別化できる企業固有のコアコンピタンスをもたなければならず, それにはグローバル市場における際立った専門性を確立することが求められる｡ 一方で, 持続的な競争力を維持するためには, 外部組織との戦略的ネットワークを通じ, 経営資源の不足といった中小企業の弱点を補完すると同時に, 強みをさらに強化する必要がある｡ このプロセスでは他社に強みを奪われないためのリスクマネジメントが重要となる｡ また, 組織パフォーマンスに対する従業員エンゲージメントの影響の重大性を確認しなければならない｡ 従業員のエンゲージメントを高めるためには, 企業の歴史と個性に合った理想的な組織文化を構築する必要がある｡ そうした組織文化は従業員に自身の創造的な発想を実現するような取り組みを促すことになる｡

Trigeminocardiac reflex (TCR) is a well-known brainstem reflex that manifests as hypotension, bradycardia, dysrhythmia, and asystole when stimulation is applied to a branch of the trigeminal nerve. Most commonly associated with ophthalmic, orbital, and neurologic surgeries, mandibular division and oral cavity variants occur far less frequently. Here, we describe a case of asystolic TCR elicited by lingual nerve stimulation. This case highlights the role of specific anesthetic medications in modulating this phenomenon and reinforces the need for early recognition and clear communication in case of its occurrence. Anesthesia providers must consider discontinuing or avoiding certain medications when clinically appropriate, even during low TCR-risk procedures.

벤처중소기업들은 초기 사업화 과정에서 신생기업의 위험 문제로 어려움을 겪고 있는데, 공공부문을 포함한 외부 인큐베이터의 지원은 벤처중소기업들의 애로요인 극복에 도움이 될 수도 있다. 이와 관련하여 국가연구개발기관에서 수행 중인 기술사업화 종합지원사업의 의의와 필요성을 검토하고, 구체적인 사례로서 한국세라믹기술원의 세라믹히든챔피언 종합육성사업을 분석하였다. 국가연구개발기관의 기술사업화 종합지원사업은 국가연구개발사업의 사업화 성과 향상 뿐 아니라 영세한 기업의 자원보완 및 지식 전수라는 점에서 긍정적으로 검토해볼 필요가 있을 것으로 판단된다. 그러나, 사례조사 결과 외부지원기관 및 지원기업에 대한 유인체계 및 관리시스템의 개선, 추진조직 활동 간의 조정문제 등은 해결해야 할 과제로 보인다.

비영리기관인 인제대학교는 설립된 지 25년 만에 2001년 대학종합평가에서 전국 2위, 지방대학으로 1위를 차지한 이래로 2004년에는 전국 5위를 차지하는 등 꾸준하게 상위권을 유지하고 있다. 그 이유를 추출하기 위해 이사장 면담, 대학당국자 심층면접, 학생면담, 지역주민과의 대화, 이차자료 수집이 이루어졌다. 그 결과, 인제대학교는 경영철학(philosophy)-기능(function)-구조(form)-성과(performance)측면에서 차별적인 공익마케팅을 수행하고 있음을 밝혀내었다. 이사장과의 면담을 통해서 인제대학교 경영철학은 '아무도 눈여겨 보지 않는 황무지에 공익의 이름으로 공헌'하는 프론티어정신임을 확인하였다. 이 경영철학에 의해 학교가 하는 일(기능: function)이 타대학과 차별적임을 밝혀내었다. 단순히 인제대학교 재학생만을 대상으로 하지 않고, 전국과 지역사회, 세계를 대상으로 한 공익네트워크형성에 주력하고 있었다. 또한 이런 일을 수행하기 위한 특징적인 별도 조직들이 인제대학교 내에 구성되어 있음을 알아내었다(형태: form). 탁월한 학교 내 학생-학교 네트워크, 교외 산업 간 네트워크, 국외 인제교류 네트워크조직을 형성하였다. 이를 토대로 인제대학교는 신입생에 대한 유인력, 재학생의 고객만족도, 교직원과 학생의 내부만족도와 같은 질적인 변수와 대학종합평가 및 취업률과 같은 양적인 변수측면에서 높은 성과(performance)를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 위와 같은 결과를 바탕으로 연구자는 인제대학교를 숨어있지만 강한 비영리기관의 '숨은 강자(hidden champion)'이라 평가하였다. 이런 숨은 강자적 면모의 차별적 공익마케팅 바탕에는 1930년대부터 70년을 넘는 기간동안에 이루어진 투자가 있었음을 확인하였다. 남들이 눈여겨 보고 있지 않지만 사람들에게 꼭 필요한 인술과 교육에 전 재산을 투자하는 헌신성이 오늘날의 인제대학교가 가진 사회적인 위상과 평판, 그리고 성과를 만들어낸 초석이 되었다.
