프로젝트 팀 리더의 역할과 팀성과 (Project Team Leader's Roles and Team Performance)

  • This Study has empirically examined the relationship between the role of R & D project leaders and their team performance using data from 87 project teams in 6 R & d organizations. The results reveal that : 1) R & D project leaders play five different roles for performing their jobs-strategic plannar, team builder, gatekeeper, expert and champion : 2) all but the champion role of leaders are positively associated with project team performance unless they have too short team tenure to materialize their role efforts : 3) However, the relationship between the role of leaders and project team performance varies according to characteristics of their team and project tasks. More specifically, it becomes more important for leaders to focus on gatekeeping and championing roles as their team gats older. Team building role of leaders is more important for higher performance of relatively certain R & D projects, while for uncertain R & D projects gatekeeping role appears to be more important.

Beliefs, Attitudes, and Behavior of Turkish Women about Breast Cancer and Breast Self-Examination According to a Turkish Version of the Champion Health Belief Model Scale

  • Background: Breast cancer (BC) is one of the most common cancer affecting women worldwide. Although a great deal of progress has been made in the health sciences, early diagnosis, and increasing community awareness, breast cancer remains a life-threatening illness. In order to reduce this threat, breast cancer screening needs to be implemented in all communities where possible. Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine health beliefs, attitudes and behaviors about breast cancer and breast self-examination of Turkish women. Methods: Data were collected from a sample of 656 women, using an adapted Turkish version of Champion's Health Belief Model Scale (CHBMS), between January and May 2011, in Ordu province of Turkey. Results: The results showed that 67.7% of women had knowledge about and 55.8% performed BSE, however 60.6% of those who indicated they practiced BSE reported they did so at irregular intervals. CHBMS subscales scores of women according to women's age, education level, occupation, family income and education level of the women's mothers, family history of breast cancer, friend and an acquaintance with breast cancer, knowledge about breast cancer, BSE and mammography were significantly different. Conclusion: Knowledge of women about the risks and benefits of early detection of breast cancer positively affect their health beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. Health care professionals can develop effective breast health programs and can help women to gain good health behavior and to maintain health.

Beliefs and Behaviors of Breast Cancer Screening in Women Referring to Health Care Centers in Northwest Iran According to the Champion Health Belief Model Scale

  • Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. All ages are susceptible and more than 90% of the patients can be cured with early diagnosis. Breast self-examination (BSE) and mammography can be useful for this aim. In this study we examined the components of the Champion health belief model to identify if they could predict the intentions of women to perform such screening. Materials and Methods: A total of 380 women aged 30 and above who had referred to health-care centers were assessed for use of breast cancer screening over the past year with a modified health belief model questionnaire. Logistic regression was applied to identify leading independent predictors. Results: In this study 27% of the women performed BSE in the last year but only 6.8% of them used mammography as a way of screening. There were significant differences regarding all components of the model except for perceived severity between women that underwent BSE. over the past year and those that did not. Findings were similar for mammography. Regression analysis revealed that intentions to perform BSE were predicted by perceived self-efficacy and perceived barriers to BSE while intentions to perform mammography were predicted by perceived barriers. Conclusions: This study indicated that self-efficacy can support performance of BSE while perceived barriers are important for not performing both BSE and mammography. Thus we must educate women to increase their self-efficacy and decrease their perceived barriers.

히든챔피언기업의 기업가정신, SWOT요인의 경쟁(대응)능력, 성과간의 관계에 관한 연구 (A Study on Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness of SWOT, and Performance in Hidden Champion Firm)

  • 본 연구는 한국형 히든챔피언의 기업가정신이 SWOT경쟁(대응)능력에 영향을 미치고, 이는 성과에 유의한 영향을 줄 수 있다는 것을 검증하였다. 이러한 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 기업가정신은 기존연구자들(Khandwalla, 1977; Miller, 1983; Miller & Friesen, 1983)에 의해서 주장해 왔던 위험감수성, 진취성, 혁신성의 차원을 포함하는 변수들을 이용하였으며, SWOT요인의 경쟁(대응)능력, 성과간의 관계분석을 위하여 구조방정식모형을 이용하였다. 본 연구의 가설 검정 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 가설(HI)은 히든챔피언의 기업가정신(진취성, 위험감수성, 혁신성)이 SWOT요인의 경쟁(대응)능력에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 히든챔피언의 기업가정신이 강할수록 더 높은 SWOT요인의 경쟁(대응)능력을 기대할 수 있다고 볼 수 있다. 특히 기업가정신의 구성요소 중에서 혁신성은 다른 요인에 비해서 큰 비중을 차지하고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 둘째, 가설(HII)은 SWOT요인의 경쟁(대응)능력은 성과에 정(+)과 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 강점과 기회요인은 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 반면에 약점과 위험요인은 부정적인 영향을 미치고 있으며 강점과 기회요인이 약점과 위험요인에 비해 상대적으로 크게 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 히든챔피언의 경쟁우위전략을 제시하기 위한 기초적인 자료로 이용할 수 있을 것으로 판단되며, 이러한 결과를 적용하여 앞으로 히든챔피언의 육성 및 정책을 마련하기 위한 참고자료가 될 것으로 기대한다.

SWOT/AHP 기법을 이용한 한국형 히든챔피언 기업의 발전전략에 관한 연구 (A Study on Development Strategy of Korean Hidden Champion Firm Utilizing the SWOT/AHP Technique)

  • 본 연구는 한국형 히든챔피언 기업의 발전전략 수립을 위한 세부속성요인들을 선행연구들을 검토하여 전문가들의 의견을 통하여 전략 요인을 내부적 요인과 외부적 요인으로 나누어 각각 강점과 약점, 기회와 위협요인을 도출하였다. 이를 근거로 계층모형을 설정하여 설문을 작성하고 전문가 그룹과 기업그룹을 대상으로 설문을 배부하여 일관성 비율의 검토를 통해 응답의 신뢰성을 확보한 54부의 설문을 SWOT/AHP 기법을 이용하여 요인들의 상대적 중요도를 평가하고 우선순위를 결정하여, 이를 근거하여 한국형 히든챔피언 기업의 발전전략을 도출하였다. SWOT 요인의 중요도 분석결과 외부적 요인 중 기회에서 산업성장성, 위기에서 경쟁강도 심화와 시장 불확실성, 그리고 내부요인 중 강점에서 기술적 역량과 고객관계 구축역량, 마케팅 역량의 순으로 나타났다. 또 약점에서는 자금부족, 브랜드 인지도 부족의 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 날로 치열해지는 글로벌 경쟁 속에서도 산업성장성을 더 중시하고 공격적 전략을 택하지 않으면 안 된다는 기업의 외부적 환경요인을 더 중요하게 생각하고 있다고 볼 수 있다. 그 다음 내부적으로 R&D와 전문화를 포함한 기술적 역량, 고객관계 구축 역량, 마케팅 역량을 전략으로 채택하여 전략을 뒷받침 하여야 한다고 생각하는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 한국형 히든챔피언 기업의 발전전략 우선순위는 강점을 이용하여 기회를 활용하는 S/O 공격적 전략과 약점을 보완하여 기회를 활용하는 W/O 만회전략, 그리고 강점을 이용하여 위기를 만회하기 위한 S/T 다각화 전략, 또 약점을 보완하여 위기를 극복하기 위한 W/T 방어적 전략의 순서로 도출되었다.

IS 조직혁신의 영향요인과 성과에 관한 연구 - IS 개발방법론을 혁신 대상으로 - (A Study on the Affecting Factors and Performance of IS Organizational Innovation - Use of the IS Development Methodology as an Object of Innovation -)

  • This research focuses on the IS development methodology as an object of innovation in an IS organization. It has two main research objectives. It was intended to understand the critical affecting factors which have an effect on the processing of each level in the dynamic and evolving innovation process. There are two levels of innovation process: initiation and implementation. It was also intended to understand the performance of IS organizational innovation. We found three main results by the LISREL analysis. First, main factors affecting initiation level of innovation are innovative tendency of IS members, communication level of IS organization, existence of champion manager, IS performance gap, executive supporting to IS, and relative advantage of IS development methodology. At the implementation level, it was understood that the existence of champion manager, executive support, and relative advantage of IS development methodology were the main factors promoting to use the innovation, and the complexity of innovation was a negative factor adopting the usage of innovation. Second, the quality of the previous level in the gradual innovation activities gives very notable affection to the continuous next level. Finally, it was found that the qualitative performance like the documentation, collaborative team approach, IS developer's awareness and ability corresponding to their task and so on was improved due to the IS organizational innovation. This research provides the standard framework for the IS organizational innovation in a structural way. In the practical aspect, it may be used as the principle for introducing and using the IS development methodology.

성인 여성의 유방조영술 검진 참여 단계에 따른 이익요인과 장애요인 분석 (Perceived Benefits and Barriers According to the Stage of Mammography Adoption in Adult Women)

  • Purpose: This descriptive study was undertaken to explore the distribution of stages of mammography adoption and identify benefits and barriers perceived by women according to the stage of mammography adoption. Methods: A total of 227 women aged between 30 - 60 was selected by the convenient sampling in W city. The instrument developed by the researcher based on the scales of Champion(1993), Champion & Skinner(2003), and Rakowski et al (1992) was used. Results: The distribution of stages of mammography adoption was as following; precontemplation 30.7%, contemplation 23.8%, relapse 20.2%, action 14.4%, and maintenance 10.8%. Women in maintenance and actors showed high scores in benefits and low scores in barriers. Those in relapse reported high scores in both benefits and barriers, while precontemplators and contemplators showed high score in barriers and low scores in benefits. Conclusion: Despite the rate of mammography participation has increased, the proportion of maintenance stage is still low and that of relapse is high. For those in relapse, strategies to eliminate barriers hindering regular and continuous mammography are necessary. For precontemplators and contemplators, detail information including purpose, procedure and benefits of mammography should be given primarily.

시스템 개발방법론의 구현 프로세스에 미치는 영향요인에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Factors Affecting the Implementation Process of Information System Development Methodology)

  • Our study focuses on the implementation of IS development methodology as the innovation of IS organization. We have two main research objectives. We Intend to understand the critical factors affecting the implementation process of IS methodology. We also intend to deeply analyze the relationship among the implementation processes of methodology. The whole innovation process is divided into detailed four levels tilth dynamic and evolving Point of clew a cognition level, an adoption level, an acceptance level and an usage level. The results of our study are as follows. The main factors affecting initiation level of the IS methodology are the innovativeness of IS members, the existence of champion manager, training, the existence of IS performance gap, executive supports for IS organization, and the relative advantage of IS development methodology At the Implementation level, It is understood that the existence of champion manager executive supports, training and the relative advantage of innovation are the main factors. However, the complexity of Innovation is a megative factor about the quality of accepting and using the methodology In Innovation process. In performing the Innovation process, the Previous level gives very notable affection to the continuous next level. However it's also understood that positive attitude of adoption level does not directly affect the quality of using Innovation. Therefore, IS managers must pay attention to manacle each level of the Innovation Process to successfully accomplish the Implementation of IS methodology.
