  • In this paper, we prove that boundedness with respect to metric balls of weighted composition operators from the Kim class and the Smirnov class to weighted Bloch type spaces is equivalent to metrical compactness of weighted composition operators between these spaces.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the difference of vertical movement of mandible according to Angle's molar relationship and by skeletal factors affect to vertical movement of mandible. 172(age ranged from 20 to 30) subjects who go to college within territory of Kwangju city without any experience of temporomandibular disorder, extraction and orthodontic treatment. were selected for this study. The subjects were classified into class I(male:30, female:49), class II(male:18, female:24) and class III(male:18, female:33) according to Angle's molar relationship. The distance was measured between incisal edge of maxillary and mandibular central incisor and between bottom of central fossa of maxillary and mandibular 1st molar with ruler. The arch length and width were measured on the diagnostic cast. Cephalometrics were taken and then traced. Landmarks were identified and analyzed. 1. Maximal interincisal opening of male is larger than that of female in class I, class II and class III. Among each group maximal interincisal distance is the largest in class III. Maximal intermolar distance of male is superior to that of female in class I, class II, and class III, but there is no siginficant difference among them. 2. On maximal opening movement of Angle's classification class I and class II, total mandibular length, mandibular ramal length, madibular inferior border length and upper arch width were important variables and facial length, upper arch length and lower arch length had negative relationship to that. On maximal opening movement of Angle's class III, the upper arch length, the lower arch length and anterior facial length were important variables especially when compared with class I and II, and upper arch width had negative relationship. These results suggest that maximal opening movement is affected by facial morphology in all classes, but each group is affected by different facial skeletal variables. Accordingly, facioskeletal variables might be considered as diagnosis and treatment to improve the amount of mouth opening.

  • Root resorption can be caused by several factors, including contact with the cortical bone. Here we report a case involving a 21-year-old female with Angle Class II, division 1 malocclusion who exhibited significant root resorption in the maxillary right central incisor after orthodontic treatment. The patient presented with significant left-sided deviation of the maxillary incisors due to lingual dislocation of the left lateral incisor and a Class II molar relationship. Cephalometric analysis demonstrated a Class I skeletal relationship (A point-nasion-B point, 2.5°) and proclined maxillary anterior teeth (upper incisor to sella-nasion plane angle, 113.4°). The primary treatment objectives were the achievement of stable occlusion with midline agreement between the maxillary and mandibular dentitions and appropriate maxillary anterior tooth axes and molar relationship. A panoramic radiograph obtained after active treatment showed significant root resorption in the maxillary right central incisor; therefore, we performed cone-beam computed tomography, which confirmed root resorption along the cortical bone around the incisive canal. The findings from this case, where different degrees of root resorption were observed despite comparable degrees of orthodontic movement in the bilateral maxillary central incisors, suggest that the incisive canal could be an inducing factor for root resorption. However, further investigation is necessary to confirm this assumption.

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between the high school-girls' trait-state anger, personal relationship position in class and bullying behaviors, and to develope the nursing intervention to prevent the damages of young people's mind according to the bullying conditions. Method : The objects of this study chose from the girls high schools in 'D' city and 233 students answered the questions. The data were collected from June. 11 to 20. 2001. The major instruments used for this study were Trait Anger-State Anger Scale(Chon, 1995) to inquire the level of anger and Bullying Behaviors Scale(Kim, 2000) and personal relationship position in class. Statistical analysis for the research included descriptive statistics, t-test and correlational analysis, and for the analysis of data the SPSS program was used. Result : The results of this study were summarized as follows: 1) Total participant's trait anger had a positive correlation with state anger and bullying behaviors. Also, state anger was positively correlated to bullying behaviors. 2) The participants in the classes with perceived bullying phenomenon showed higher score of trait anger and bullying behaviors than those in the classes with non-perceived bullying phenomenon. 3) According to personal relationship position of the class, central group of the classes with perceived bullying phenomenon showed higher score of trait anger and bullying behaviors than those of the classes with non-perceived bullying phenomenon. 4) Also, central group of the classes with perceived bullying phenomenon showed higher score of bullying behaviors than peripheral group in the same classes. 5) The peripheral group of the classes with perceived bullying phenomenon showed higher score of bullying behaviors than those of the classes with non-perceived bullying phenomenon. 6) Central group's trait anger of the classes with perceived bullying phenomenon had a positive correlation to state anger and bullying behaviors. Also, central group's state anger was positively correlated to bullying behaviors. conclusion : In conclusion, the level of trait anger and state anger in high school girls affected to occur the bullying behaviors in students and especially, the trait anger in central group students was primary factor for the effect.

  • We consider functions that map the open unit disc conformally onto the complement of an unbounded convex set with opening angle ${\pi}{\alpha}$, ${\alpha}{\in}(1,2]$, at infinity. We derive the exact interval for the variability of the real Taylor coefficients of these functions and we prove that the corresponding complex Taylor coefficients of such functions are contained in certain discs lying in the right half plane. In addition, we also determine generalized central functions for the aforesaid class of functions.

  • From January, 1983, to August, 1993, 23 cases of pericardiectomy for chronic constrictive pericarditis were carried out. The 15 male and 8 female patients ranged in age from 7 to 68 years[mean 39.1 years . All patients underwent pericardiectomy through a median sternotomy. Postoperative complications were low cardiac output[2 patients , wound infection[2 patients , pneumonia[2 patients , and unilateral phrenic nerve palsy[2 patients . One patient died of low cardiac output 1 day after pericardiectomy due to the associated transposition of great artery and hypoplastic right lung. Clinical and pathological findings showed that the cause of constrictive pericarditis was tuberculous in 8 cases[34.8% , idiopathic in 12 cases[52.2% and pyogenic in 3 cases[13.0% . Central venous pressure fell below 10cmH2O by immediate in 6 cases, fell below 10cmH2O by 24hrs in 5 cases and continued above 10cmH2O after 24hrs in 12 cases. Preoperative NYHA functional class of patients showed class I-1, classII-4, class III-14, and class IV-3. Postoperativly NYHA functional class was improved to class I-15, classII-6, class III-1.

  • Our goal is to establish and prove the almost sure central limit theorems for some order statistics $\{M_n^{(k)}\}$, $k=1,2,{\ldots}$, formed by stochastic processes ($X_1,X_2,{\ldots},X_n$), $n{\in}N$, the distributions of which are defined by certain Archimedean copulas. Some properties of generators of such the copulas are intensively used in our proofs. The first class of theorems stated and proved in the paper concerns sequences of ordinary maxima $\{M_n\}$, the second class of the presented results and proofs applies for sequences of the second largest maxima $\{M_n^{(2)}\}$ and the third (and the last) part of our investigations is devoted to the proofs of the almost sure central limit theorems for the k-th largest maxima $\{M_n^{(k)}\}$ in general. The assumptions imposed in the first two of the mentioned groups of claims significantly differ from the conditions used in the last - the most general - case.

  • A simple proof for the random central limit theorem is given for a family of stationary linear lattice processes, which belogn to a class of 2 dimensional random fields, applying the Beveridge and Nelson decomposition in time series context. The result is an extension of Fakhre-Zakeri and Fershidi (1993) dealing with the linear process in time series to the case of the linear lattice process with 2 dimensional indices.
