Energy Performance Analysis Program with Heating methods of Automatic Thermostatic Valves in Floor Radiant Heating System (바닥난방용 자동온도조절기의 난방방식에 따른 에너지성능 해석용 프로그램에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the energy characteristic of automatic thermostatic valves according to each heating method in floor radiant heating system were researched by computer simulation. For the analysis of unsteady heat transfer phenomena in household, the method of using electrical equivalent R-C circuit is applied, and radiation heat transfer between panel, ceiling and walls in household is calculated by enclosure analysis method. The parametric study on heating method, valve's control method, outdoor air condition, supply heating water temperature, supply flow rate are performed to compare energy characteristic, respectively.

  • With the trend of large-sized ship in Korea, recently several hundreds of thousands of U-bolts for a year have been used as a pipe fastener In this paper, we have evaluated the strength for present U-bolt structure by pipe supporting conditions(deck, ceiling and wall mounting type) For this purpose, the equivalent and bending stresses have been calculated by linear elastic analysis using the finite element program ABAQUS. At the same time, a variety of load conditions such as design pressure, weight effect and acceleration are also considered.

  • In this study, reduced-scale experiments were conducted to analyze smoke movement in tunnel fires according to vepntilation method. The 1/20 scale experiments were carried out under the Froude scaling using gasoline pool fires ranging from 6.6 to 10 cm in diameter corresponding to total heat release rate from 0.714 to 2.5 kW. Temperatures near the ceiling were lowered by installing the vent, and much lowered by operating fan compared wiht tile case without vent. In case of forced ventilation, the exhaust fan was more effective than the intake fan. Vertical temperatures at the upper part of the tunnel were also lowered by installing the vent. But, when suction fan was operated, temperatures at the lower part of the tunnel were higher than that without vent.

  • To design mechanical ventilation for bathroom of apartment houses where air supply and exhaust are taken Into consideration, mock-ups of ventilation systems, widely used in bathroom of apartment houses with an area of 100$m^2$, were made and installed in a laboratory, These ventilation mock-ups were available for control of air supply and exhaust, and the size of supply openings were 40cm$\times$1cm, 40cm$\times$3cm, 40cm$\times$5cm. They were installed at five positions, spaced 40cm at a height of 25cm from the floor. and the position of exhaust fans were four corners and center Exhaust fan established each one on corner of the ceiling and one in center. As result that measure ventilation effect by each condition, size of hole that supply air is big, and ventilation effect took effect to be good establishment location is low, Also, distance of exhaust fan is far with hole that supply air, ventilation effect took effect by superior thing.

  • We constructed ceiling structure and floor structure for elevation of sound insulation performance of concrete slab of apartment house. And, we wished to measure heavy floor impact sound level and light floor impact sound level of these structure. As the result, light floor impact sound level interception performance of concrete slab was measured by thing that construction work of gypsum baud is important. Heavy floor impact sound level interception performance was measured by thing that it is effective that construct to thickness about 30 millimeters on concrete Slav. It was measured effectively that heavy floor impact sound level interception performance constructs rubber chip to thickness about 30 millimeters on concrete Slav.

Bistatic Scattering Cross-Section of a Spherical Conductor (완전도체구의 산란특성)

  • In-Building communication network is realized by spherical reflector installed on the ceiling and a pair of circularly polarized antennas. Before realizing the system, the scattering characteristics of a spherical conductor is computed and experimented. In this paper, the computational results using vector spherical wave equation and experimental results of the scattering characteristics of a spherical conductor are dicussed. From the results, the omnidirectional scattering level is confirmed and polarity difference over 13 dB is ensured in light region. With the base on omnidirectional scattering pattern of spherical conductor in light region, spherical reflector is effectable in as Wireless In-Building communication network.

  • In this paper, we fabricated a pair of circulaly polarized conical horn antennas for evaluating the scattering characteristics of a hemispherical reflector and of propagation characteristics in in-building environments, which is required for constructing a new wireless in-building communication system of microwave band consisted of a hemispherical reflector installed on the ceiling. The measurements show the fairly good features such that cross-polarization discremination more than 27 dB and axial-ratio less than 1.25 dB.

  • A underground room fire was simulated to investigate the effects of smoke exhaust on temperature visibility, soot etc. in the room. A room of $6m{\times}6m{\times}2.5m$ with a door of $0.9{\times}2.0m$ and a 0.5MW polystyrene fire in the room were considered. Temperature, visibility, CO volume fraction and soot were compared for the exhaust velocity at a vent located at the ceiling, 0, 1.2, and 2.4m/s, respectively. Results showed that increasing exhaust velocity decreased room temperature, CO and soot and increased visibility.

  • It is very important and necessary to predict luminous enviroment in an interior space. This paper has described about energy saving and evaluated interior visual environment in a office building having on/off turning control lighting system utilizing daylight. In order to predict the interior varior illumination distribution, the scale model was made and examined under various conditions, such ad difference of window glass, and color pattern of wall, floor, and also ceiling lighting system type. This paper suggests that basic fundamental data of lighting design performance in the concept and schematic stages of design.

  • This paper proposes a pose-graph based SLAM method using an upward-looking camera and artificial landmarks for AGVs in factory environments. The proposed method provides a way to acquire the camera extrinsic matrix and improves the accuracy of feature observation using a low-cost camera. SLAM is conducted by optimizing AGV's explored path using the artificial landmarks installed on the ceiling at various locations. As the AGV explores, the pose nodes are added based on the certain distance from odometry and the landmark nodes are registered when AGV recognizes the fiducial marks. As a result of the proposed scheme, a graph network is created and optimized through a G2O optimization tool so that the accumulated error due to the slip is minimized. The experiment shows that the proposed method is robust for SLAM in real factory environments.
