The improvement of the life standard of the public by the economical growth leads their interests to the leisure activities, so that the demand for resort facilities has been increased. Especially, casino resort facilities in Kangwon-Do has been developed continuously without exact concept of casino resort design. This resort facilities has been planned by indiscreet imitation of foreign examples and non-organized developments and etc. One of the reasons for these problems may be from the lack of the knowledges and researches related to the architectural approaching of these facilities. The purpose of this study is to provide the basic informations for better understanding and improvement of planning and design direction for these facilities through a survey the famous casino resort facilities in Las Vegas. As a result of this research, Las Vegas has been changed tremendously from the casino resort to the resort complex for families with special theme and various facilities.

All measures related to the safety of the casino facilities guarantee safety of facilities that are targets of security guards, protect lives and properties, minimize risks of artificial and natural disaster and crimes. In summary, plan for responding to safety and accidents should be developed not only for the casino facilities but also for the facilities of annexed buildings, and lives and properties of customers and employees. Determine areas in the casino facilities that are prone to accidents and set around-the-clock guard in the areas or maintain surveillance with CCTV and prevent accidents through continuous patrol. These are the most basic and the most important requirements in safety. In addition, casinos which prompt gambling are causing economic and psychological treats to families. To resolve these social issues, casinos have adopted limited entrance system. To support this system, new forms of machine security systems such as video automatic recognition system of fingerprint pattern recognition system should be adopted too. In addition, security guards in casino facilities need to instill themselves with a sense of ownership as well as a strong sense of mission to do the best for customer security and to protect the company assets and employees and manage accidents that could occur without notice. Security guards should do their best to enable manage accidents that could occur without notice. Security guards should do their best to enable tourists who are on the rise due to increase in advanced country-style tourism and leisurely activities to get the utmost satisfaction from the casinos, and as a leader of private security company, establish the foundation for security based on the characteristics of security in Korea.

As a lexical meaning, casino is defined as "a certified gambling house, equipped with recreational facilities such as dance and music, etc., where people play roulette or cards." Casinos started from 17th to 18th century for European nobility and their social meetings and established a casino industry framework in the United States in the 1930s. The success of the casino business leads to the increase of sales; it became very helpful for the local and national government revenues and also for the related incidental tasks. Casino operations include a variety of fields, such as general customer management, dealer game management, security, account management, currency exchange, re-exchange management, marketing management, comp management and placement management, etc. These operations should be organically connected to each other by information systems such as a groupware, ERP and Customer Relationship Management (CRM), etc. In addition, in order to effectively manage comprehensive entertainment service, including accommodation and tourism, it is necessary to develop an information system which supports casino business and collateral entertainment service, collects the data generated throughout the business and provides information about the situations of management. Thus, this study will propose a casino information system designed and implemented, considering these details.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of impulsivity, family' gambling and the distance from the gambling facilities, on adolescents' gambling activity, gambling belief and gambling motivation in the future. A total of 567 high school students in Jeongseon and Taeback(the Kangwon-Land Casino area or near the Kangwon-Land Casino), in Gwhachoen City(near the Seoul Race Park), and in Whachoen(far from the gambling facilities area) were participated in this study, and completed the questionnaires for measuring adolescents' gambling activity, gambling belief and gambling motivation in the future, impulsivity and family gambling behaviors. Results showed there were positive relationships impulsivity, family' gambling, adolescents' gambling activity, gambling belief and gambling motivation in the future. There were significant relationships among dwelling areas, gambling behaviors, and beliefs. Especially, adolescents in Jeongseon have more likely gambling behaviors, and the gambling beliefs were more dysfunction than ones in Gwhachoen and Whachoen. And adolescents in Whachoen had the lowest gambling motivation. Also, the correlation between the impulsivity and gambling-related behaviors was significant. The implication of this study was as fellow. When planing the politic intervention for preventing the problem gambling in the future it was necessary to consider the distance from the gambling facilities as environmental component and impulsivity as personal component.
