Clinicians generally agree that Class III malocclusion is one of the most difficult to treat. When the Class III malocclusion is characterized by maxillary retrusion in growing patients, the use of a face mask may be the treatment of choice. Although face mask can achieve excellent orthopedic effects. It demands special patient compliance because it is worn extraorally and is not as esthetic or comfortable as intraoral appliance. This report presents the clinical cases of mandibular protrusion correction in growing patients, who were treated by TTBA(Tandem Traction Bow Appliance) that's a intraoral appliance.

Necrotizing sialometaplasia (NS) was defined by Abrams et al. in 1973 as a reactive necrotizing inflammatory process involving minor salivary glands of the hard palate. Before that recognition, many patients with this condition had been improperly treated because of its clinical and histologic resemblance to malignancy such as mucoepidermoid carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma. We report two cases of necrotizing sialometaplasia. One case involved a 58-year-old male who had an ulcerative palatal lesion exposing underlying bone which has the typical features of the above mentioned condition. Another case involved a 59-year-old male who developed a necrotizing sialometaplasia in association with a dome-shaped palatal swelling which was proved as an adenoid cystic carcinoma after operation biopsy.

Takayasu 동맥염은, 원인은 분명하지 않으나, 아마도 자가면역질환으로서, 초기 전신기와 후기 폐쇄기에 걸쳐 여려 다양한 증세를 초래할 수 있고, 진단은 대동맥 조영술에 의한 대동맥 및 분지의 협착을 관찰하는 것이 필수적이다.

Purpose: This paper is aim to report the effects of Sopungsan-gamibang(消風散加味方) on the Dermatoses Gravidrum. Methods: Two women who had been suffering from itching, plague, erythema during pregnancy were enrolled in this study and they were diagnosed Dermatoses Gravidrum. They received oriental treatment such as herbal medicine. we gave them Sopungsan-gamibang 3 times. During the treatments, we requested them to visit hospital twice a week. If they could not come to hospital, we called them to take follow-up. Conclusion: This clinical cases indicate that Sopungsan-gamibang is effective in treatment of the Dermatoses Gravidrum and can prevent chronic progress and relapse of symptoms. More clinical data and studies are requested for the treatment of Dermatoses Gravidrum.

After extraction of tooth, alveolar ridge resorption is inevitable in most cases. Clinicians confront with horizontal and vertical resorption of alveolar bone. Without massive amount of bone and soft tissue graft, dental implant will be placed apically to gain stability. In those cases, not only white esthetic part, but also pink esthetic part should be restored with pink porcelain. The margin of prosthesis should be located apically to reproduce natural look with adjacent teeth. However, when the margin is located apically, it is always hard to remove remaining cement, thus complications may arise. In this report, a novel design of implant prosthesis is introduced to solve those issues. The novel design is consisted of zirconia framework with pink porcelain and separate crowns on top of the framework. It eliminates the possibility of cement remnants by bringing the crown margin coronally. Pink esthetic part is incorporated in abutment part instead of crown part and the screw hole is covered with separate crowns.

Isolated posterior cruciate ligament injuries are rare and their management is controversial. But, there is general concept that a bony avulsion of posterior cruciate ligament should be repaired. The treatments for the bony avulsion of posterior cruciate ligament were conservative treatment, open reduction and internal fixation and arthroscopic fixation. We report 2 cases of posterior cruciate ligament avulsion fractures, which were arthroscopically reduced and stabilized with cannulated screws and Kirschner wires, and introduce the arthroscopic fixation technique.

Intradural lumbar disc herniation (ILDH) is rare. In this report, authors present 2 cases of ILDHs associated with severe adhesion between the dural sac and posterior longitudinal ligament. In a 40-year-old man, ILDH occurred in association with epidural adhesion due to ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament (OPLL). In other 31-year-old man, ILDH occurred in presence of epidural adhesion due to previous spine surgery.

Current therapeutic modalities for severe oral lichen planus are generally unsatisfactory. Steroid treatment of lichem planus has been reported in the dermatology literature and dental literature, but few reports mention its efficacy for oral lesions. Some cases of severe erosive oral lichen planus revealed good response to this agent. So the author report two cases of erosive oral lichen planus treated with 0.05%. Dexamethasone methyl cellulose mouth wash and two intralesional injections of Triamcinolone acetonide suspension 0.2 mls, one week apart. 1. Subjective improvement was noticed in 4-5 days by two patients. 2. Objective improvement, however, was delayed and became apparent at several weeks 3. Continued improvement was noted in all patients.

Root resorption is loss of dental hard tissue as a result of clastic activities. The dental hard tissue of permanent teeth does not normally undergo resorption, except in cases of inflammation or trauma. However, there are rare cases of tooth resorption of an unknown cause, known as "idiopathic root resorption". This report would discuss a rare case of multiple idiopathic resorption in the permanent maxillary and mandibular teeth of an otherwise healthy 36-year-old male patient. In addition to a clinical examination, the patient was imaged using conventional radiography and cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). The examinations revealed multiple external and internal resorption of the teeth in all four quadrants of the jaws with an unknown cause. Multiple root resorption is a rare clinical phenomenon that should be examined using different radiographic modalities. Cross-sectional CBCT is useful in the diagnosis and examination of such lesions.

Nearly 45% of all neurilemmoma occur in the head and neck area, but only 1% have an intraoral origin. The authors report two cases of uncommon neurilemmoma of the tongue. Both of them presented with a mass on the lateral border of the tongue, which was noted several days before. The lesions of tongue appeared as smooth-surfaced, well-circumscribed mass. They were excised under general anesthesia and diagnosed as neurilemmoma on histopathologic examination.
