Objectives This study aimed to provide a basis for treatment of soyang person by investigate published case series of soyangin Methods We have reviewed case series of soyangin in the Journal of Sasang Medicine from 2007 to 2016. Results A total of 16 case series related to soyangin were reported. Among them, herbal medicine was used in 16 papers (100.0%), of which 'Hyeongbangjihwang-tang' was the most frequently used, reported in five papers (31.3%). For acupuncture of 12 papers (75.0%), acupoint 'ST36' was the most frequently used, reported in four papers (33.3%). Conclusions Most of the included case series were effective in treating patients of soyangin. However, the number of papers was insufficient to suggest standardized treatment for "diseases-Sasang medicine pattern-treatment" systems.

The case series is a descriptive study that follows a group of patients who have a similar diagnosis or who are undergoing the same procedure and is the most prevalent type of research in the field of plastic surgery. Results of case series can generate hypotheses that are useful in designing further studies, including randomized controlled trials or a prospective cohort study. However, no causal inferences should be made from case series regarding the efficacy of the investigated treatment. The authors provide a guide to the design and report on the case series.

Objectives: Medical personnel are professionals subject to stressful situations and psychological distress. This case series reports the results of a mindfulness meditation program combined with digital health for medical personnel at a Korean medicine (KM) hospital. Methods: An online mindfulness program was implemented in 2022 to improve the mental health of nursing staff in a KM clinic. The online mindfulness program, which was supplemented based on previous results and limitations, was applied to KM doctors and nurses working at a KM hospital in this case series. An important difference from the existing case series was the introduction of a smartphone application that promoted the daily routine of meditation. A total of 7 medical personnel, including 4 doctors and 3 nurses, participated in the program. Results: After participating in the program, an increase in deep acting and a decrease in surface acting, which are aspects of emotional labor, were consistent with the results of a previous case series. However, the patterns of change in burnout and hwa-byung symptoms differed depending on the occupation of the participants. Participants' satisfaction with this program and the smartphone application and willingness to recommend it to colleagues were high. Conclusions: As this study was only a small case series, the author plans to continue to expand and improve the program based on the findings.

This paper analyzes the difficulties with the learning of sequence and series of the second-year students who participated in a year long whole class at the university level. The research was carried out at the end of students' third semester. These students were randomly selected. They were applied to one paper and pencil test containing eight task items on sequence and series. In this study, qualitative method (case study design) was used to explore students' difficulties and misunderstandings in learning sequence and series. Students' responses to the questions were divided into three categories: These were "correct", "partial correct" and "false or no responses". Students' responses to the paper and pencil test were evaluated. The results show that students had difficulties and misunderstandings in series and sequence.

This study deals with a case analysis on the implementation of ISO 9000/14000 Integrated Management System. The intention is to provide some general guidelines, in particular, to small-to-medium-sized companies that are planning to introduce the Integrated Management System. First we briefly review each of the ISO 9000 series, ISO 14000 series and Integrated Management System. We then investigate the case of a small-sized company that have built and is successfully operating the Integrated Management System. We start with introducing the company, and then examine the background and the procedure for implementing the Integrated Management System. We investigate effects of the Integrated Management System, which are the main focus of this paper. This study is meaningful in that, to our best knowledge, it is the first field report appearing in the literature in regard to the actual implementation of ISO 9000/14000 Integrated Management System in Korea.

ISO 9000 Series International Standard have been established in 1987 and world trading patterns have changed into the request of ISO 9000 series approval. About 1100 domestic companies have currently obtained ISO 9000 series approval from domestic or foreign certification bodies. This paper presents the current status of ISO approval of domestic industries, a case study of a valve manufacturing company in Pusan, procedures for obtaining ISO approval, predictable effects as a result of approval, and recommendations.

This study compared the roundwood demand prediction accuracy of econometric and time-series models using Korean data. The roundwood was divided into softwood and hardwood by species. The econometric model of roundwood demand was specified with four explanatory variables; own price, substitute price, gross domestic product, dummy. The time-series model was specified with lagged endogenous variable. The dummy variable reflected the abrupt decrease in roundwood demand in the late 1990's in the case of softwood roundwood, and the boom of plywood export in the late 1970's in the case of hardwood roundwood. On the other hand, the prediction accuracy was estimated on the basis of Residual Mean Square Errors(RMSE). The results showed that the softwood roundwood demand prediction can be performed more accurately by econometric model than by time-series model. However, the hardwood roundwood demand prediction accuracy was similar in the case of using econometric and time-series model.

A total of 13 interventions were described, of which herbal medicine (100%) was most frequently used. Twenty-four papers reported herbal medicine, of which Palmulgunjatang (25%) was most frequently used. A total of 24 Sasang Constitutional Medicine pattern were used in 24 papers, for which soeum person kidney heat affection induced exterior heat disease depression frantic syndrome (25%) was most frequently used.Conclusions A sufficient number of clinical studies are warranted to provide a clinical basis for treatment of soeum person.

Objectives This study aimed to provide a basis for treatment of taeeum person by analysing published case reports and case series in Journal of Sasang Constitutional Medicine.Methods We reviewed case reports and case series of taeeum person in the Journal of Sasang Constitutional Medicine from 2006 to 2015.Results Of the forty papers, reporting 182 cases of taeeum person. Thirty-five papers reported 6 types of Sasang Constitutional Medicine pattern. A total of 10 types of interventions were described, of which herbal medicine (100%) was most frequently used. A total of 30 types of outcome measeure were used in papers, for which symptom change (79.2%) was most frequently used. A total of 8 types of diagnosis criteria were used in 38 papers.Conclusions A sufficient number of clinical studies are warranted to provide a clinical evidence for treatment of taeeum person.

Until recently as a method of repairing leaking problem, generally urethane series were used for many structures as subway, box culvert etc. However the lacking of sufficient penetration capacity have made it difficult to repair such structures completely. Now, we could achieve enhanced quality of repairing work by using new material which was compounded of urethane series and cement series properly. This material can penetrate concrete structure efficiently and move interactively with the structure in case of the thermal expansion. Besides of this, we could prevent expecting leakage through several improvements on the aspects of design, materials and site implementation.
