This paper deals with a case study on a unique slope failure in a liner system of a municipal solid waste containment facility during construction because the sliding interface is not the geomembrane/compacted low permeability soil liner (LPSL) but a soil/soil interface within the LPSL. From the case study, it is concluded that compaction of the LPSL should ensure that each lift is kneaded into the lower lift so a weak interface is not created in the LPSL, and the LPSL moisture content should be controlled so it does not exceed the specified value, .e.g., 3% - 4% wet of optimum, because it can lead to a weak interface in the LPSL. In addition, drainage materials should be placed over the geomembrane from the slope toe to the top to reduce the shear stresses applied to the weakest interface, and equipment should not move laterally across the slope if it is unsupported but along the slope while placing the cover soil from bottom to top.

LCVA has an advantage that its natural frequency can be easily controlled by changing the area ratio of the vertical column and horizontal part. The previous studies investigated the dynamic characteristics of the LCVA under harmonic load. This study experimentally obtained the first and second mode natural frequencies of the LCVA from shaking table tests using white noise and compared the values with the ones by previous study. Test results show that the measured first mode natural frequency of the LCVA has a different value compared with calculated one. The effective length($L_e$) was revised using by power equation. In the Case01 to 19, the standard deviation($s_r$) is 4.7292 and the coefficient of correlation(r) is 0.9856. In the Case21 to 61, the standard deviation ($s_r$) is 14.2143 and the coefficient of correlation(r) is 0.9935. The second mode frequency increases with the increasing area ratio, which is due to the sloshing motion effect resulting from the large area of the vertical column.

Purpose -This paper is to study the process of the negative effects of Sino-foreign joint ventures, hoping to find out an effective path in which local enterprises can avoid the risks in the utilization of foreign capital, and ultimately achieve independent innovation. Research design, data, and methodology -The outflow of assets, the loss of local brands and the "technology hollowing-out" problem brought by joint ventures is becoming more and more serious. Based on conflict analysis graph model, this paper takes Yuhuan joint venture as an example to identify the conflict problem in Sino-foreign joint ventures. Results -The results of the stability analysis show that establishing joint venture cannot really realize the introduction of technology because the technology is fully controlled by the foreign part. So when introducing foreign capital, local enterprises should participate in R&D and master the initiative. Conclusions - Local enterprises should pay attention to patent containment and technology blockade of multinationals. Domestic enterprises should try to protect state-owned assets and local brands in Sino-foreign joint ventures. Independent innovation is the most effective strategy for the development of enterprises in China.

It is high time to prepare the online publication system of academic research paper. Online publications like digital research paper, e-Book, etc. are increased day by day as the information technology(IT) is developing continually. But, the legal aspect of publication system of academic research paper in Korea is not prepared yet. The purposes of this study are to examine the problems on the publication system of academic research paper in the context of digital goods and to frame a policy of legal proceedings in relation to the social science. The methodology used in this paper is theoretical analysis which is examining the case of academic research system and scientific journal in Korea. As a result of this study, following measures are suggested: (1) Legal provisions on the online publication system, that is, "Research Promotion Law of Korea" controlled by KRF(Korea Research Foundation) and MOE(Ministry of Education) should be revised. (2) Solution like software program and DB system proceeding the data on academic research paper should be prepared newly. (3) From the viewpoint of digital goods, both protecting the intellectual property right and settling the reliance upon online publication system should also be considered simultaneously.

The CMI Rules for Electronic Bills of Lading were drafted by the Comite Maritime International(CMI) and related specifically to EDI transfers of negotiable bills of lading. The CMI Rules are contractual in nature and the application of the CMI Rules is strictly voluntary. The method adopted in the CMI Rules to enable negotiation of the rights to cargo in a controlled method is based on the introduction of the ‘Private Key’. The Bolero service will be governed by a multilateral contract called the Bolero Rule Book which specifies the rights and responsibilities of Bolero and its users. The Title Registry and Bolero Bill of Lading provide a fully functional equivalent to the paper bill of lading. The Bolero Bill of Lading can be created, transferred, amended, and surrendered by way of designating to order party, blank endorsement, refusal by the transferee etc. In Japan, through TEDI Project, the RSP Model is introduced as e-trade solution like Bolero's Solution. The RSP Model Solution will be furnished through TC(Trade Chain) Server and RSP(Repository Service Provider) Server. The purpose of this paper is to analyze comparatively the CMI Rules and Bolero Bill of Lading and RSP Model of TEDI and to find the implications in this case study for quick introduction of electronic Bill of Lading.

Objectives : The Purpose of this study is to investigate the clinical application of conservative treatment for femoral neck stress fracture developed in avascular necrosis of the femoral head. Methods : Patient is hospitalized at Dept. of Oriental Rehabilitation Medicine, Bu-Chun Jaseng Oriental Medicine Hospital, diagnosed as femoral neck stress fracture developed in avascular necrosis of the femoral head and treated by herbal medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion. This study was measured by Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) score, range of motion and walking time. Results : After conservative treatment, the patient's pain was controlled and VAS score was decreased. Range of motion and walking time were improved. Conclusions : As seen in this one case, Oriental conservative treatment has a positive effect to control pain with femoral neck stress fracture developed in avascular necrosis of the femoral head.

The objective of the study is to develop selfie sticks to enhance portability and prevent error of pushing mobile phone button. The main target of selfie sticks is women and the size of selfie sticks is too big to put it in their bag. Also when people put mobile phone in a selfie stick, people push its button easily. Sometimes mobile phone is turned off or the volume is controlled because of pushing its button. The researcher focused on designing a solution that enhances portability and preventing error of pushing the button. The researcher understood structure of selfie stick. It consists of a mobile phone supporter and a length adjuster. The researcher designed the mobile phone supporter for enhancing portability and the length adjuster for preventing to push the mobile phone. The researcher designed a part which connects a mobile phone supporter with a length adjuster and made selfie stick fold. Also, sponges are partly put on the mobile supporter. It can reduce situation of pushing the mobile phone button. The selfie stick design from the study has an opportunity to distinguish using the product and carrying it and have people use the selfie stick conveniently.

The purpose of this case study was to introduce functional electrical stimulation(FES) for paraplegic patients. FES provides the ability to rise from sitting to standing, maintenance of a standing position, and the ability to walk with a reciprocal gait. Six channels of electrical stimulation are sufficient for synthesis of a simple reciprocal gait pattern in these patients. During the double-stance phase, knee extensor muscles of both knees are stimulated, providing sufficient support for the body. Only one knee extensor muscle group is excited during the single-stance phase. The swing phase of the contralateral lower extremity is accomplished by eliciting the synergic flexor muscle response through electrical stimulation of afferent nerves. The transition from the double-stance phase to the swing phase is controlled by two hand switches used by the therapist or built into the handles of the walking frame for using by the patient. A twenty-five years old male was with a T9/T9 spinal cord injury due to a traffic accident and admitted to Yonsei Rehabilitation Hospital for comprehensive treatment. After 30 days of training using the Parastep(R) he was able to stand for 10 minutes. After 43 days, he was able to walk and at discharged he could walk for 100 meters.

This paper presents the result of survey of case study for Harmonics in electrical Installations of buildings. Recently, many power electronic equipments(power converter, computers, air conditioners electronic ballasts for fluorescent lamps and so on) are used in office buildings, and harmonic current from them influence the other equipments in a distribution line. Notably, voltage distortion or voltage harmonics may approach or exceed is allowable level in power distribution system. Individual electric power consumers and end-users and responsible for reducing current harmonics while companies or utilities are responsible for reducing voltage harmonics at the point of common coupling in distribution system. As for harmonics, which one of the electric power qualities, it becomes important to obtain harmonic voltage/current distribution of the power system precisely because the use of power electronic apparatus in increasing. However, there are some difficulties on evaluating the measured data in comparison with the simulated result. The primary cause was indentitied with the resonance of harmonics form many sources. To suppress harmonics in electrical installations of buildings, one of many methods suggest that resonance frequencies are controlled by modulating the capacities of high-voltage customer's capacitors.
