  • Recently, Zinc coating is often used with environment friendly features and high performance. Generally The coating temperature is one of main factors for determining coating thickness and coating ability, so the optimal coating temperature is strongly required. In this paper, the thermo-flow simulation considering the air flow inside the coating rooms for analyzing the temperature distributions of Zinc spray coating room was performed. Two spray coating rooms, preheating room and drying room were all modeled by SolidWorks program and the temperature distributions were analyzed by Flow simulation program. The analysis results were verified with the measured data by thermal image camera. The characteristics of temperature distributions of the first spray room and the second spray room were understood and the results showed that the temperatures of two spray coating room were low compared with the target temperature $25^{\circ}C$. To the exclusion of heater addition, the simulation with all the same conditions exclusive the exhaust fan was performed, which showed that the temperatures of the first and the second spray rooms increased by $6.2^{\circ}C$ and $5.8^{\circ}C$. This analysis can be applicable for designing a new spray coating room for improving performance.

  • Although GPS technology for location positioning system has been widely used, it is difficult to be used in intelligent transport systems, due to the large positioning error and limited area for receiving radio signals. Thanks to the rapid development of LED technology, LED lights become popular in many applications. Especially, visible light communications (VLC) has raised a lot of interests because of the simultaneous functioning of LED illumination and communication. Recent studies on positioning system using VLC mainly focused on indoor environments and still difficult to satisfy positioning accuracy and simple implementation simultaneously. In this paper, we propose a positioning system based on VLC using the coordinate information of LEDs installed on the road infrastructure. Extracting the LED signal, obtained through VLC, from the easily accessible camera image, it is possible to estimate the position of the car on the road. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme can achieve a high positioning accuracy of 1 m when large number of pixels is utilized and the distance from the LED light is close.

  • This study investigated the effect of anticurvature filing method on preparation of the curved root canal using ProFile. Thirty six resin blocks were divided equally into three groups by instrumentation motions: anticurvature filing motion. circumferential filing motion and straight up-and-down motion. Each resin block was sectioned at 8mm level from the apex and at the greatest curvature of the canal and reassembled in metal mold by a modified Bramante technique. All groups were instrumented with the ProFile system. At each levels. image of sectioned surface were taken using CCD camera under a stereomicroscope at $\times40$ magnification and stored. Distances of transportation at the inner and outer area of curvature and the centering ratio were determined and compared by statistical analysis. along with the assessment of the increase of root canal cross-sectional area. The results were as follows; 1. In all groups. there was no statistical difference in the mean increase of root canal cross-sectional area. the centering ratio. and the mean distances of transportation at the inner area of curvature at each level. 2. At 8mm level from the apex. the mean distances of transportation at the outer area of curvature decreases in following order anticurvature filing motion. circumferential filing motion. straight up-anddown motion but. no significant difference at the greatest curvature of the canal among three groups. Effect of anticurvature filing motion using ProFile does not seem to be different from other instrumentation motions at the inner area of curvature in curved root canal.

  • Complementary color filter array (CCFA) is widely used in consumer-level digital video cameras, since it not only has high sensitivity and good signal-to-noise ratio in low-light condition but also is compatible with the interlaced scanning used in broadcast systems. However, the full-color images obtained from CCFA suffer from the color artifacts such as false color and zipper effects. These artifacts can be removed with edge-adaptive demosaicking (ECD) approaches which are generally used in rrimary color filter array (PCFA). Unfortunately, the unique array pattern of CCFA makes it difficult that CCFA adopts ECD approaches. Therefore, to apply ECD approaches suitable for CCFA to demosaicking is one of the major issues to reconstruct the full-color images. In this paper, we propose a new ECD algorithm for CCFA. To estimate an edge direction precisely and enhance the quality of the reconstructed image, a function of spatial variances is used as a weight, and new color conversion matrices are presented for considering various edge directions. Experimental results indicate that the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional method with respect to both objective and subjective criteria.

  • Introduction : For stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) of a tumor in the region whose movement due to respiration is significant, like Lung lower lobe, the gated therapy, which delivers radiation dose to the selected respiratory phases when tumor motion is small, was peformed using the Respiratory gating system and its clinical effectiveness was evaluated. Methode and Materials : For two SRS patients with a tumor in Lung lower lobe, a marker block (infrared reflector) was attached on the abdomen. While patient' respiratory cycle was monitored with Real-time Position Management (RPM, Varian, USA), 4D CT was performed (10 phases per a cycle). Phases in which tumor motion did not change rapidly were decided as treatment phases. The treatment volume was contoured on the CT images for selected treatment phases using maximum intensity projection (MIP) method. In order to verify setup reproducibility and positional variation, 4D CT was repeated. Result : Gross tumor volume (GTV) showed maximum movement in superior-inferior direction. For patient $\#$1, motion of GTV was reduced to 2.6 mm in treatment phases ($30\%\~60\%$), while that was 9.4 mm in full phases ($0\%\~90\%$) and for patient $\#$2, it was reduced to 2.3 mm in treatment phases ($30\%\~70\%$), while it was 11.7 mm in full phases ($0\%\~90\%$). When comparing two sets of CT images, setup errors in all the directions were within 3 mm. Conclusion : Since tumor motion was reduced less than 5 mm, the Respiratory gating system for SRS of Lung lower lobe is useful.

  • The rational polynomial coefficients(RPC) model is a generalized sensor model that is used as an alternative for the physical sensor model for IKONOS-2 and QuickBird. As the number of sensors increases along with greater complexity, and as the need for standard sensor model has become important, the applicability of the RPC model is also increasing. The RPC model can be substituted for all sensor models, such as the projective camera the linear pushbroom sensor and the SAR This paper is aimed at generating a RPC model from the physical sensor model of the KOMPSAT-1(Korean Multi-Purpose Satellite) and aerial photography. The KOMPSAT-1 collects $510{\sim}730nm$ panchromatic images with a ground sample distance (GSD) of 6.6m and a swath width of 17 km by pushbroom scanning. We generated the RPC from a physical sensor model of KOMPSAT-1 and aerial photography. The iterative least square solution based on Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm is used to estimate the RPC. In addition, data normalization and regularization are applied to improve the accuracy and minimize noise. And the accuracy of the test was evaluated based on the 2-D image coordinates. From this test, we were able to find that the RPC model is suitable for both KOMPSAT-1 and aerial photography.

  • As an approach for estimation of the droplet size in the molten salt-liquid metal extraction process, a droplet formation experiment at room temperature was conducted to evaluate the applicability of the Scheele-Meister model with water-mercury system as a surrogate that is similar to the molten salt-liquid metal system. In the experiment, droplets were formed through the nozzle and the droplet size was measured using a digital camera and image analysis software. As nozzles, commercially available needles with inner diameters (ID) of 0.018 cm and 0.025 cm and self-fabricated nozzles with 3-holes (ID: 0.0135 cm), 4-holes (ID: 0.0135 cm), and 2-holes (ID: 0.0148 cm) were used. The mercury penetration lengths in the nozzles were 1.3 cm for the needles and 0.5 cm for the self-fabricated nozzles. The droplets formed from each nozzle maintained stable spherical shape up to 20 cm below the nozzle. The droplet size measurements were within a 10% error range when compared to the Scheele-Meister model estimates. The experimental results show that the Scheele-Meister model for droplet size estimation can be applied to nozzles that stably form droplets in a water-mercury system.

  • In this thesis, GPS and the electronic mapping were used to realize such a system by recognizing license plate numbers and identifying the location of objects that move at synchronous times with simulated movement in the electronic map. As well, throughout the study, a camera attached to a PDA, one of the mobile devices, automatically recognized and confirmed acquired license plate numbers from the front and back of each cu. Using this mobile technique in a wireless network searches for specific plate numbers and information about the location of the car is transmitted to a remote sewer. The use of such a GPS-based system allows for the measurement of topography and the effective acquisition of a car's location. The information is then transmitted to a central controlling center and stored as text to be reproduced later in the form of diagrams. Getting positional information through GPS and using image-processing with a PDA makes it possible to estimate the correct information of a car's location and to transmit the specific information of the car to a control center simultaneously, so that the center will get information such as type of the cu, possibility of the defects that a car might have, and possibly to offer help with those functions. Such information can establish a mobile system that can recognize and accurately trace the location of cars.
