  • Methods of the flare skirt pattern making are presented variously among foreign and domestic test books. Three of them are : First the method is using the basic skirt pattern, secondly the method is quartering rectangle of skirt length $\times\frac{W}4$, finally the method is substituting waist size for formula. But, these books don't include the calculating method of the hem circumference. This calculating method express the shape of flare skirt and the using length of trimming -race and frill-. This study aims at proposing the calculating formula of the hem circumference and the standardization of pattern making technical skill. The result were as follows. 1. The calculating formula of hem circumference had regular ratio in $180^{\circ}$, $270^{\circ}$ and $360^{\circ}C$ flare. That was (HEM) = $(\frac{(5\;{\times}\;(W\;+\;1)}{4\;{\times}\;A}+(SK.L))\;{\times}\;A\;{\times}\;0.785$. A was 4 in $180^{\circ}$, 6 in $270^{\circ}$, 8 in $360^{\circ}$. 2. The error of hem circumference from 46 to 86 centimeter of waist size was between 0.11875 and -0.63125 centimeter in $180^{\circ}$, $270^{\circ}$ and $360^{\circ}$ flare skirt. This formula was less in the error.

  • Objective : To overcome the limit which is unaware of the herbal effects intensity of Traditional study based on "Yakdaeron(藥對論)", classification methods based on the curative effects, we aimed to express the herbal formula's effects numerically, compare one herbal formula with other herbal formulas and calculate the herbal effects and the herbal effects intensity by using conception, weight of the herbal effects. Method : We calculated the herbal effects through the proportion of each herbal quantity to whole quantity of the herbal formula and weight of the herbal effects through frequency and quantity in use on specific herbal effects field and the other herbal effects fields. We applied the weight of the herbal effects to calculating the herbal effects through the proportion of each herbal quantity to whole quantity of the herbal formula. Results : We expressed the herbal formula's effects numerically. By giving weight to the herbal effects, we found that 3-4 major effects among 4-5 major effects are ranked in 5th.

  • In this paper, using analytic method and the properties of the Legendre's symbol, we prove an exact calculating formula on the $2m$-th power mean value of the generalized quadratic Gauss sums for $m{\geq}2$. This solves a conjecture of He and Zhang [On the 2k-th power mean value of the generalized quadratic Gauss sums, Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 48 (2011), no. 1, 9-15].

  • The purpose of this study is to evaluate the existing methods for calculating or estimating the consumptive use (Evaportranspiration) of any agricutural development project area. In determing the consumptive use water in the project area, there will require the best way for estimating irrigation requirement. Many methods for computing the evaportranspiration have been used, each of them with its merits and demerits at home and abroad. Some of these methods are listed as follows: 1.The Penman's formula 2.The B1aney-Criddle method 3.The Munson P.E. Index method 4.The Atmometer method 5.The Texas Water Rights Commission (TWRC) method 6.The Jensen-Haise method 7.The Christiasen method Therefore, the authors will introduce the more widely used method for calculating Consumptive Use by G.H. Hargreaves. The formula is expressed in the form Ep= K·d·T (1.0-0.01·Hn) Hn=1.0+0.4H+0.005H2. This method was adopted for the first time to determine the Irrigation requirements of Ogseo Comprehensive Agricultual Development project (Benefited area:100,500ha) in Korea. This method is presented in somewhat greater detail than the others. Formula is given for the computation of evaportranspiration (with various levels of data availability) Sampel computation of irrigation requirements for Ogseo irrigation project is included. The results and applied materials are summarized as follows. 1. In calculating the Hargreaves formula, the mean temperature relative, humidity, length of day, and percentage of sunshine from three stations of Iri, Jeonju, and Gunsan were used. 2. Monthly evaporation values were calculated by using the formula. 3. Meteological data from the three stations records for the ten years (1963∼1972) were used. 4. The annual irrigation requirements is 1,186mm per hectare, but the case to consider effective rainfall amount takes the annual irrigation demand being 700mm per hectare.

  • The basic analysis of Soil and structural mechanics for the bridge substructure affected by the flow of water is sufficient in the construction of such bridges, but the stability of scour resulting from hydraulic phenomena is insufficient. In addition, it is not enough to estimate the scour depth of the bridge which reflects the watershed characteristics of the domestic river because it uses the formula for calculating the scour depth of the overseas piers in calculating the scour depth of the bridge. In this study, the application of the CSU (1993) formula, which is currently applied to the national river design criteria, was reviewed between the two formulas after calculating the scour after calculating the scour by applying another bridge deck scour calculation formula to take into account the uncertainty in the calculation of scour. In this study, in addition to the CSU (1993) formula, which is currently applied to Korean river design criteria, another scour depth calculation formula is applied to calculate uncertainty in scour depth calculation, was reviewed between the two formulas. The review confirmed that the SSE (%) showed a difference of at least 2.08%, up to 91.23%, and SSEn(%) at least 0.19%, up to 415.91%, when compared to the measured depth of the pier based on the hydraulic model experiment and the depth of the pier calculated with the nine scour depth formulas in use. In other words, it is confirmed that there are many differences between the scouring formulas of piers. The results of this study are expected to be used to estimate scour depth in future river design.

  • A loss system where two types of customers arrive in accordance with two independent Poisson processes is considered. An efficient recursive formula is developed for calculating the loss probability when the number of servers is large. Some practical examples regarding the performance evaluation of telecommunications networks are discussed.

  • In this study, the stability of armor blocks of rubble-mound breakwaters is investigated based on the 2-dimensional hydraulic model test with irregular waves. Amor blocks were used the three types; rock, cube and tetrapod. And Hudson formula and van der Meer formula which are used for calculating the weight of armor blocks are considered. Hudson formula was developed from regular wave tests, while van der Meer formula was developed from irregular wave tests. The purpose of this paper is to compare and test two selected stability formulas using the experimental data.

  • The calculation of the comsumptive use by crop can be most accurate when it is actually measured. The mankind is not yet able tole grasp all the natural conditions or phenomena. The induces of actual measurement at a representive observatory and the formula abtained from the area werowere made as close as possible, which is called as the Blaney Criddle formcula, published in 1945. In calculating the water require-ment of consumptive use of water by farm crops, a more accurate and reasonable formula should be induced as the factors other than temperature and day-time hours according to the location of project area have also influences. The formula of Mr. Jerald E. Christianen published in 1969 is based on the induces of the records of actural measurements for 3, 928 months at 80 different stations and his formula couers a wider range of functions that calculate water requirement to induce the functions of moisture, wind, velocity, sunshine at elevatons, in addition to temperature and daytime hours in accordance with latitude and was modified to be fit to natural phenomena. The formula is being widely in use in many contries with their modification since it is worth while for usealso in korea, the formula is introduced and explained in the following.

  • Laying up homogeneous power cable in the earth. we sure that one of the most effectest fact is the rising of thermal resistivity. Today, system designing of in and outdoor project, calculating current carrying capacity totally depend on standard of JCS-168D and IEC-287 to applicate. Specially, the formula of calculating soil thermal resistivity is what is based on KENELLY,s is usually used. In this report, Let's study the formula of soil thermal resistivity which was born in the idea of KENELLY.
