Viscoelastic Modeling of Automotive Bushing for Axial Mode (축방향 모드에 대한 자동차 부싱의 점탄성 모델링)

  • A bushing is a device used in automotive suspension systems to reduce the load transmitted from the wheel to the frame of the vehicle. A bushing is a hollow cylinder, which is bonded to a solid steel shaft at its inner surface and a steel sleeve at its outer surface. The relation between the force applied to the shaft and the relative deformation of a bushing is nonlinear and exhibits features of viscoelasticity. Since a force-displacement relation for bushings is important for multibody dynamics numerical simulations, the relation is expressed in terms of a force relaxation function and a method of determination by experiments on bushings has been developed. For the nonlinear viscoelastic axial response, Pipkin-Rogers model, the direct relation of force and displacement, has been derived from experiment. It is shown that the predictions by the proposed force-displacement relation are in very good agreement with the experimental results.

  • Important key technologies of high-$T_c$ superconducting (HTS) transformer may include the HTS wire technology, bushing technology, cooling technology, AC loss, reduction technology, large current technology, and cryogenic temperature insulation technology. From among others, the cryogenic temperature insulation technology may be specifically a core technology for ensuring reliability for the smaller size, stability, economic efficiency, and power supply of a transformer. Therefore, the electric insulation technology of a superconducting transformer should be prerequisite. Such relevant studies are ongoing, but still, they are very insufficient for establishing the cryogenic insulation technology as of yet. Therefore, this paper simulated HTS transformer applied with continuous transposed conductor (CTC), which has been studied as a way of reducing AC loss. Also, the paper analyzed the insulation configuration of HTS transformer and bushing, and, accordingly, reviewed various characteristics of insulation breakdown out of liquid nitrogen. Thus, the paper constituted insulation database, and it is going to design the insulation of a transmission class HTS transformer and bushing.

  • This paper describes performance of sealing integrity and bending strain of HV polymeric bushing with thermal mechanical test. Generally the properties of FRP tube can be influenced by the winding angle, wall thickness and winding tension. As a results, multi winding bushing shows that it has max deflection in the range of 16.5~16.9 mm.

  • This paper describes a testing method to assess the reliability of the epoxy bushing used for the vacuum circuit breaker(VCB). Especially, in order to show the long-term durability of epoxy bushing in a short testing duration, the extremely accelerated electric stress applying test plan was adopted.

  • 본 논문에서는 composite hollow bushing에 사용되는 FRP tube의 winding 각도 및 장력 변화에 의한 변위 특성을 해석하였다. Winding 각도 및 장력에 따라 FRP tube의 인장 및 굽힘강도 특성이 변화되므로 최적의 composite bushing의 설계하기 위해서는 이에 대한 해석 및 시험이 요구된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 와인딩 각도 및 와인딩 장력에 따른 굽힘강도와 변위에 대하여 고찰하였으며, 와인딩 장력에 따른 각각의 특성에 대해서도 검토하였다.

Contact Pressure Distribution of Pin Bushing Bearings Depending on the Friction Conditions (마찰조건에 따른 핀부싱 베어링의 접촉면압분포에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the contact pressure distribution of pin bushing bearings for various lubrication friction modes such as oil film and elastohydrodynamic lubrication contacts, a mixed lubrication contact, a boundary contact, and a dry contact. During a sliding contact of a plain bearing, the boundary and dry rubbing contacts are dominated between a piston pin and a pin bushing bearing. This may come from a micro-scale clearance, an explosive impact pressures from the piston head, and an oscillatory motion of a pin bearing. The computed results show that as the oil film parameter $h/{\sigma}$ is increased from the dry rubbing contact to the oil film lubrication friction, the maximum oil film pressure is radically increased due to an increased viscous friction with a thin oil film thickness and the maximum asperity contact pressure is reduced due to a decreased asperity contact of the rubbing surfaces.

  • Recently, composite hollow bushings have been increasingly employed mainly from the various characteristics. Composite bushings are superior to porcelain bushings in several respects, including lighter weight, better anti-pollution and anti-explosion properties, and easer manufacturing. This paper deals with the optimal thermal fitting for improved tightness characteristics of composite bushing. Two types of composite bushings were fabricated. For optimal fitting process, it is necessary using adhesive and designed internal structure of flange and FRP tube. In this study, for improved tightness characteristics of composite bushing has prominence and interface tolerance of flange and FRP tube. From FE-SEM analysis the adhesive layers were different with interface tolerance, sample 1 and 2 which have respective about $120{\mu}m$ and $50{\mu}m$.

  • 본 논문에서는 500kV급 composite bushing에 사용되는 FRP tube 및 금구류에 대하여 풍하중에 대한 강도안전성을 평가하였다. 제품의 평가는 유한요소법을 이용한 구조해석을 진행하였으며, 해석 결과 풍하중에 대하여 충분한 강도 안전성 및 안전율을 가지고 제품이 설계된 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 제시한 결과를 바탕으로 composite bushing은 강도안전성 측면에서 신뢰성 있는 제품으로 개발이 이루어지고 있음을 확인할 수 있으며, 향후 유한요소법을 이용한 해석을 통해 제품 개발 기간의 단축과 소비자에게 보다 향상된 품질을 보증하는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • The bushing for high voltage and large and power should endure weight of itself and force of pushing from contact with circuit breaker. Like this, epoxy mold bushing has to be strong without fault. However, the external circumstances and internal factors was caused by partial discharge, flashover and dielectric breakdown. Therefore, to remove external factor of defect and to prevent the internal cracks and cavity generated from the contraction on interface of Cu-Epoxy, we should form semi-conductive layer on Cu bar by carbon. Then, the PD properties and the insulation qualities of epoxy mold type bushing was able to improved by roles of cushions for the direction of diameter and by effects fo natural sliding like as separated from conductor for the direction of length. So, in this work, we could prove the method of semi-conductive layer in making the long conductor.

Effect of Additives on Mechanical Properties of Alumina Bushing Fabricated by Gel-Casting

  • Alumina bushing used for manufacturing glass fiber was fabricated by gel-casting which can fabricate complex forms. When solid loading is increased, density was increased and shrinkage and absorption were decreased. The sample loading with 57 vol% solid was optimum for alumina suspension, which showed the best physical properties. The cast sample was sintered at $1550{^{\circ}C}$ for two hours with sintering additive, $Y_2O_3$. The result showed that the alumina bushing with $Y_2O_3$ sintering additive has a density of 98%, shrinkage of 11% and bending strength of 196 kg/$cm^2$.
