담배 연기중(煙氣中)의 유해물감소(有害物減少)에 관한 연구(硏究)[제이보(第二報)] -용매추출(溶妹抽出)의 영향(影響)- (A Study on the Reduction of Harmful Compound in Cigarette Smoke [Part II] -Influence of solvont extraction-)

  • 담배향기성분에는 영향을 미치지 않고 엽중(葉中)의 nicotine이 용매추출(溶媒抽出)로서 제거되는 효과를 규명하고 연기중의 tar, nicotine함량(含量) 및 무처리(無處理)와 처리(處理) 담배에 대한 이화학성(理化學性)을 시험하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1) 3%알콜추출로 황색종잎담배의 전질소함량은 36.4%가 감소(減少)되었고 당(糖)은 감소(減少)되지 않았다. 2) 용액의 침지시간이 길수록 엽중(葉中)이 nicotine함량(含量)은 감소(減少)되었고 산성용액이나 알칼리성용액을 첨가한 용액에서도 대체로 같은 결과를 얻었다. 3) 열중량분석(DTG)골선은 담배성분중 $150^{\circ}{\sim}350^{\circ}C$에서 분해(分解)되거나 휘발되는 성분이 추출되었음을 나타냈다. 4) 3% 알콜용액 추출에서 (1) filling power는 황색종과 burley 각각 10%와 24%의 개선효과(改善效果)가 있었으며, (2) 연소성(燃燒性)은 burley와 황색종담배에 각각 3분과 2분이 단축되었으며, (3) nicotine의 감소율(減少率)은 burley와 황색종 담배에 각각 61.5%와 54.5%이었고, (4) tar의 감소율(減少率)은 burley와 황색종 담배에 각각 23%와 15%이였다.

질소 및 가리 시용량이 버어리종 잎담배의 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Influences of Nitrogen and Potassium Rates on Yield and Quality of Cured Leaf in Burley Tobacco)

  • 질소와 가리 시용량이 버어리종 잎담배(1988년; Burley 21, 1989년 ; Burley 21과 KB 101)의 생육, 수량 및 품질에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위하여 질소 3수준(1988년 ; 17.5, 22.75, 28.0kg/10a, 1989년 ; 12.5, 17.5, 22.5kg/10a), 가리 3수준(1988년 ; 17.5, 35.0, 52.5kg/10a, 1989년 ; 25.0, 35.0, 45.0kg/10a)을 두어 포장에서 시험한 바, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 적심기 생육에 미치는 질소 시용량의 영향은 년차간 변이가 큰 것으로 나타났으며 가리시용량은 적심기 생육에 별다른 영향을 미치지 않았다. 2. 질소나 가리 시용량이 생육기간중의 엽중 질소함량에는 비교적 큰 영향을 미쳤으나 가리함량에 미치는 영향은 비교적 작았다. 3. Burley 21에 비하여 KB 101이 다수성이었으며, 질소감비상태에서의 생산성도 높았다. 4. 질소를 22.75kg/10a까지 시용할 때는 수량과 품질이 높아졌으나, 그 이상 시용할때는 수량은 증가되지 않고 품질은 낮아졌다. 5. 가리시용량이나 가리/질소 시용비에 따른 수량, 품질 차이는 크지 않았으나, 가리/질소 시용비가 작을 때는 품질이 다소 낮아졌다 6. 질소시용량이 22.75kg/10a을 초과할 때, 잎담배 수량 및 품질면에서 유리한 점은 없었으며, 가리시용량은 35.0kg/10a이면 충분하며 그 이하로의 감비도 여지가 있을 것으로 생각된다.

잎담배의 흡습 및 탈습에 관한 연구 (Moisture Sorption and Desorption Isotherms of Various Leaf Tobaccos)

  • The moisture sorption and desorption isotherms of various tobaccos were obtained over a relative humidity range from 0 to 90% at $20^{\circ}C$ and $30^{\circ}C$. The hysteresis effect, constant and rate of moisture sorption and desorption, monomolecular-layer moisture content, and specific surface area were analyzed from the obtained data. The moisture sorption and desorption isotherms showed a different characteristics for different tobacco varieties. At a lower humidity range below 50% RH, Burley tobacco had higher moisture sorption and desorption figures than Hicks and Basma, while, at a higher humidity range above 50% RH, Hicks had higher values than the others. The hysteresis effect of tobacco were greater in an intermediate humidity range (40-70% RN), and Basma showed a greater effect than the others. The sorption and desorption constant (K) increased with temperature, but decreased with RH, and Burley tobacco had larger K values, while Hicks had smaller K values than others. The sorption and desorption rate of Burley tobacco were greater than the other tobaccos. The monomolecular-layer moisture was 27.8 and 51.4mg/g, and the specific surface was 101 and $186m^2/g$, for Basma and Burley, respectively.

목포, 남원, 예산지방 Burley 엽중 형별질소의 경향 조사 연구 (Investigation of some Forms of Nitrogen in burley Tobacco Leaf Cultivated in Mokpo, Namwon and Yaesan District.)

  • 목포, 남원, 예산지방에서 각각 재배한 Burley 엽중의 nitroate form nitrogen, alkaloid form nitrogen, ammonia form nitrogen, protein form nitrogen과 form nitrogen의 함량을 조사하였다. Total nitrogen 중에서 protein form nitrogen이 차지하는 비율이 30-33%로써 가장 높았고, nitrate form nitrogen이 10∼23%, alkaloid form nitrogen이 8∼16%, ammonia form nitrogen이 6∼9%, 그리고 amide form nitrogen이 2∼2%였다. Nitrate form nitrogen의 함량 비율은 예산, 남원, 목포 순으로 증가하는데 반하여 alkaloid form nitrogen은 반대되는 현상을 보였다. 등급에 따라서는 alkaloid form nitrogen과 ammonia form nitrogen의 함량 비율의 순위는 H5>3>L1>3>5이였으며 nitrate form nitrogen은 이와 반대되는 경향이었다.

잎담배 Alkaloid분석에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Analysis of Tobacco Leaf Alkaloids)

  • This study was carried out to develop the method of alkaloids analysis and investigate the kinds and contents of alkaloids in flue-cured, burley and oriental tobacco leaves using developed analytical method. The developed analytical method of alkaloids was as followed : Tobacco sample was treated with acid(pH 2∼3) and extracted with chloroform to remove chemical components except alkaloids. Sample solution was treated with alkali(pH 12∼ 13) and was extracted with chloroform to obtain alkaloids from sample solution. After extraction of alkaloids from tobacco leaves, alkaloids were separated and identified by GC, GC/MS using SE-54 fused silica capillary column. Nicotine, nornicotine, myosmine, 9-nicotyline, anabasine, anatabine, 2, 3-bipyridyl, cotinine, formyl nornicotine, acetyl nornicotine and formal anatabine were isolated and identified from the extracts of tobacco leaves. The contents of alkaloids were burley > flue-cured > oriental tobacco leaves, but oriental tobacco leaves were higher nornicotine, cotinine, formyl nornicotine and acetyl nornicotine contents than those of flue-cured tobacco leaves. The burley tobacco harvested in Korea was higher nornicotine contents by 2-6 times in the portions of cutter, leaf and tips position than that of burley tobacco(B3F) harvested in V. S. A.

저장기간에 따른 $CO_2$ 팽화처리 원료잎담배의 이화학적 특성 변화 (Changes in physico-chemical properties of expanded tobacco leaves by $CO_2$ process according to the storage periods)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of storage period on the physico-chemical properties of tobacco leaves expanded by $CO_2$. The flue-cured and burley tobacco leaves produced from 1996 to 1999 were processed, and stored for that year or 3 years in processing plant. As compared with 1996 crop, the expanded rate of flue-cured tobacco leaves in 1999 crop was higher approximately 18%, while that of burley was higher about 10%. The filling capacity of cigarettes was decreased as storage time became shorter, but the combustibility was improved. The rate of large particles (over 3.36mm) of expanded tobacco showed decreasing tendency as the storage period became longer. The change rate of chemical contents in tobacco leaves between before and after expansion had no significant difference among corp years. The tar and CO contents of cigarettes smoke were reduced in the case of flue-cured tobacco leaves as storage time became shorter, while they were slightly increased in the case of burley tobacco leaves. The ammonia content of burley leaves was decreased remarkably in 1996 and 1999 crop.

두가지 계통의 PVY가 잎담배 수량 및 내용성분에 미치는 영향 (EFFECT OF TWO PVY STRAINS ON YIELD AND CHEMICAL CONSTITUENTS OF TOBACCO PLANT)

  • Effect of the two PVY strains(PVY-VB and PVY-VN) on yield and chemical constituents of tobacco plants was determined in roar. NC2326 and Burley 21. The virus was inoculated 6 and 8 weeks after transplanting, respectively. The strains and time of inoculation were most critical factors for yield reduction. The greatest reduction was caused by the necrotic strain (PVY-VN) inoculated 6 weeks after transplanting, accounting for the loss of 40% in var. NC2326 and of 45% in var.. Burley21. When inoculated 8 weeks after transplanting with the necrotic strain, only 17% reduction was recorded in roar. Burley21, but no reduction occurred in roar. NC2326. Generally less reduction was caused by the PVY-VB strain, ranging 12-16% depending on the time of inoculation and/or variety. Compared to healthy tobacco, PVY infected tobacco contained higher concentrations of total nitrogen, protein nitrogen, nitrate nitrogen, and lower total sugar in cured leaf of roar. NC2326. Total alkaloid, P, Mg, Ca, and K levels were not altered. In var. Burley21, protein nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen increased, but other chemical components were not changed. Necrotic strain-infected tobacco with a severe symptom had higher nitrogen than did mild strain-infected tobacco.

버어리종, 황색종, 양건종, 담배의 유전분석에 관한 연구 II. $F_2$의 잡종강세, 상관 및 조합능력 (STUDIES ON THE GENERIC ANALYSIS AMONG BURLEY, FLUE-CURED AND SUN-CURED TYPE TOBACCO II. Heterosis, Correlation and Combining Ability of $F_2$ Hybrid.)

  • The present study was carried out to obtain some basic informations of the breeding of tobacco varieties. Genetically divergent 8 varieties, 3 flue-cured, 2 burley and 3 sun-cured tobaccos, were used in half diallel cross. In order to analyze the heterosis, combining abilities, modes of inheritance and correlations for some agronomic and chemical characters, 8 parents and 28 $F_2$ were tested. The results obtained were summarized as follows: The percentages of heterosis for yield, stem diameter, internode length and total sugar content in $F_2$ hybrid were positive , where-as those for the other characters were negative. Yield had significant positive genotypic and phenotypic correlations with plant height, days to flower, leaves per plant, leaf length, leaf width and leaf shape index (Leaf length/leaf width). General (GCA) and specific combining abilities (SCA) for all characters of $F_2$ hybrid were significant. In the effect of GCA, yield was greater in combinations of Bulgaria and Xanthi, days to flower and leaves per plant were those of Burley 21 and Va 528, leaf length and width were those of Coker 139, respectively. In the effect of SCA, the major part of characters were greater than those of others in the combinations of Burley 21, Va 528, Hicks.

과열증기처리에 의한 Burley종 각초의 물리성 및 연기성분 변화에 관한 연구 (Effect of Super Heated Steam Treatment on Physical Property and Smoke Component of Burley Cut Tobacco)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of super heated steam on the physical and chemical changes of burley cut tobacco. Total sugar, total alkaloid, ether extracts, crude ash, total nitrogen and pH for leaf chemical constituents were analyzed. Filling power and fineness index for physical properties, and carbonyl compounds, phenol compounds, amonia, pH, hydrogen cyanide nicotine, carbon monoxide, total volatile base and tar for smoke components were also analyzed. The cut tobacco treated with super heated steam showed significant decrease in total sugar and total alkaloid. The filling power of the sample treated with the super heated steam system was increased abruptly when heated at over 250℃. The fineness index showed similar tendency to that of common toast method. Super heated steam treatment slightly decreased carbonyl compounds, phenol compounds, hydrogen cyanide, nicotine, carbon monoxide and tar in the tobacco. Especially the decrease of ammonia was the most remarkable. The pH of smoke was a little different compared with that in the common toast. The sensory test results showed that, compared to the common conveyer moving system, the tobacco treated with super heated steam system brought out more roasted flavor, lowered impact, irritation, and sting, further improved aftertaste, and lowered bitterness. The super heated steam treatment method used in the studies is expected to give better filling power, mild taste and toasted odor of tobacco than that of the common method for toast treatment. 버어리종 잎담배의 화학성분에 의한 관능 특성 예측 (Prediction of Sensory Property from Leaf Chemical Property in Burely Tobacco)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the prediction of sensory property of smoke from the leaf chemical property and characterize leaf chemical components for the best tobacco taste's leaves in burley tobacco. For analytical and sensory evaluations, sixteen grades were used. The major leaf chemical components to predict the sensory property of smoke were ether extract for tobacco-like, chloride for impact and total nitrogen/nicotine for irritation. Within ${\pm}20\;%$ range of difference, the predictable probabilities of sensory property of smoke from the leaf chemical properties were 100 % for tobacco-like, impact and irritation. As a result of K-means cluster analysis on the basis of tobacco taste, the desirable leaf chemical component contents were $6.5{\sim}6.8\;%$ in ether extract, $0.25{\sim}0.30\;%$ in chloride and $1.26{\sim}1.54$ in total nitrogen/nicotine ratio. This study suggest that the some regression equations may be useful to predict the sensory components of tobacco smoke from a few selected leaf chemical properties in burley tobacco and to select the burley tobacco leaves for enhance the tobacco taste of cigarette.
