ATM 망에서 공평한 지연 및 손실 우선순위 제어 (Fair delay and loss priority control in ATM networks)

  • This paper proposes a new buffer management scheme to service delay-sensitive traffic and loss-sensitive traffic fairly in ATM networks. The proposed scheme uses tow buffers for delay-sensitive traffic and loss-sensitive traffic. To satisfy the average delay time of delay-sensitive traffic, cells in real-time buffer are served first. When congestion occurs in nonreal-time buffer, low loss priority cell in real-time buffer can be pushed out by high loss priority cell in nonreal-time buffer can be transferred to real-time buffer considering threshold value in real-time buffer. Using computer simulation, the existing methods and proposed scheme are compared and analyzed with respect to cell loss rate and average delay time. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme have superior performance to conventional schemes.

Relaying Protocols and Delay Analysis for Buffer-aided Wireless Powered Cooperative Communication Networks

  • In this paper, we investigate a buffer-aided wireless powered cooperative communication network (WPCCN), in which the source and relay harvest the energy from a dedicated power beacon via wireless energy transfer, then the source transmits the data to the destination through the relay. Both the source and relay are equipped with an energy buffer to store the harvested energy in the energy transfer stage. In addition, the relay is equipped with a data buffer and can temporarily store the received information. Considering the buffer-aided WPCCN, we propose two buffer-aided relaying protocols, which named as the buffer-aided harvest-then-transmit (HtT) protocol and the buffer-aided joint mode selection and power allocation (JMSPA) protocol, respectively. For the buffer-aided HtT protocol, the time-averaged achievable rate is obtained in closed form. For the buffer-aided JMSPA protocol, the optimal adaptive mode selection scheme and power allocation scheme, which jointly maximize the time-averaged throughput of system, are obtained by employing the Lyapunov optimization theory. Furthermore, we drive the theoretical bounds on the time-averaged achievable rate and time-averaged delay, then present the throughput-delay tradeoff achieved by the joint JMSPA protocol. Simulation results validate the throughput performance gain of the proposed buffer-aided relaying protocols and verify the theoretical analysis.

Auto Regulated Data Provisioning Scheme with Adaptive Buffer Resilience Control on Federated Clouds

  • On large-scale data analysis platforms deployed on cloud infrastructures over the Internet, the instability of the data transfer time and the dynamics of the processing rate require a more sophisticated data distribution scheme which maximizes parallel efficiency by achieving the balanced load among participated computing elements and by eliminating the idle time of each computing element. In particular, under the constraints that have the real-time and limited data buffer (in-memory storage) are given, it needs more controllable mechanism to prevent both the overflow and the underflow of the finite buffer. In this paper, we propose an auto regulated data provisioning model based on receiver-driven data pull model. On this model, we provide a synchronized data replenishment mechanism that implicitly avoids the data buffer overflow as well as explicitly regulates the data buffer underflow by adequately adjusting the buffer resilience. To estimate the optimal size of buffer resilience, we exploits an adaptive buffer resilience control scheme that minimizes both data buffer space and idle time of the processing elements based on directly measured sample path analysis. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme provides allowable approximation compared to the numerical results. Also, it is suitably efficient to apply for such a dynamic environment that cannot postulate the stochastic characteristic for the data transfer time, the data processing rate, or even an environment where the fluctuation of the both is presented.

  • The buffer circuit having minimum delay time is designed and analyzed in this paper. Considering the parasitic components of the MOS transistor, the optimal transistor size ratio between the individual buffer stages is presented. This paper's result is better than that of the Mead and Conway's analysis [1] with respect to both delay time and total area that buffer occupies.

  • This paper considers a discrete-time buffer system with session-based arrivals, an infinite storage capacity and one unreliable output line. There are multiple different types of sessions and the output line is governed by a finite state Markov chain. Based on a generating functions approach, we obtain an exact expression for the mean buffer content.

  • This research has been progressed for adhesive improvement of the Polyimide/Buffer layer/Cu at the COF(Chip On Film) which induced as the alternative plan about high concentration of a circuit or substrates according to demands of miniaturization and high efficiency of various electronic equipment. RF plasma equipment was applied to when plama pretreatment was performed for improvement of adhesive strength of PI and Cr as the buffer layer. Experimental fluents were a species of the buffer layer, depositied time and the ratio of $O_2$/Ar when performed to plasma pretreatment. The results are that Ni was superior to Cr at peel test according to a species of the buffer layer, peel strength and Cu THK were showed proportional relation to deposition structure of the same buffer layer and sample of the Cr depositied time(30 sec) and Cu depositied time(20 min) was showed good adhesion to peel test according to Cr's depositied time and Cu's depositied time. When perform PI's plasma pretreatment peel strength and $O_2$/Ar ratio were showed proportional relation. But $O_2$/Ar(2/5) was best condition since then decreased.

  • It is known that existence of irregular transmission time delay is a major bottleneck for application of advanced robot control schemes to internet telerobotic systems. In the internet teleoperation system, the irregular transmission time delay causes a critical problem, which is unstable and inaccurate. This paper suggests a practical internet teleoperation system with streaming buffer system, which consists of a buffer, a buffer manager, and a control timer. High-precision THz Dielectric Spectroscopy of Tris-HCl Buffer

  • Tris-HCl buffer solution is extensively used in biochemistry and molecular biology to maintain a stable pH for biomolecules such as nucleic acids and proteins. Here we report on the high-precision THz dielectric spectroscopy of a 10 mM Tris-HCl buffer. Using a double Debye model, including conductivity of ionic species, we measured the complex dielectric functions of Tris-HCl buffer. The fast relaxation time of water molecules in Tris-HCl buffer is ~20% longer than that in pure water while the slow relaxation time changes little. This means that the reorientation dynamics of Tris-HCl buffer with such a low Tris concentration is quite different from that of pure water.

고성능 막 크로마토그래피에 의한 유청 단백질의 분리특성 (Separation Characteristics of Whey Protein by High Performance Membrane Chromatography)

  • 유청 단백질 중에서 $\alpha$-lactalbumin, $\beta$-lactoglobulin를 고성능 막 크로마코그래피를 이용하여 분리하는 것이다. 분리 메카니즘은 음이온 교환작용이며 고정상은 CIM DEAE, QA, So$_3$ disk (16$\times$3 mm)을 사용하였다. 이동상은 buffer A (20 mM Tris-HCI, pH 7.3)와 buffer B (buffer A + 1 M NaCl)를 사용하였으며 $\alpha$-lactalbumin, $\beta$-lactoglobulin를 분리하기 위해서 구배용매 조성법을 사용하였다. 각 이동상의 조성에 따른 최적의 이동상 조성(Buffer A/Buffer B=100/0 - 30/70 vol%, gradient time 1 min, 30/70 - 10/90 vol%, gradient time 2 min)을 실험적으로 얻었고 4 ml/min의 이동상 유속에서 3분내에 $\alpha$-lactalbumin, $\beta$-lactoglobulin를 분리 할 수 있었다. 유청 단백질 중에 $\alpha$-lactalbumin, $\beta$-lactoglobulin을 HPMC을 적용하여 분리하였고, 유청 단백질의 기능적 성질, 분리 방법에 대해 알아보았다.

MPEG-4 미디어 스트리밍에 적합한 실시간형 다중원형버퍼 모델 (A Real-Time Multiple Circular Buffer Model for Streaming MPEG-4 Media)

  • MPEG는 멀티미디어 응용의 표준이며, 저작자, 서비스 제공자, 최종 수요자 모두의 요구에 부합할 수 있는 기술들을 제공한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 MPEG-4 컨텐츠를 효과적으로 스트리밍하는 데 적합한 실시간형 다중원형버퍼(M4RM 버퍼) 모델을 제안한다. M4RM 버퍼는 전송된 정보에 따라 MPEG-4 컨텐트를 구성하는 각 객체에 적합한 버퍼 구조체를 생성하고 그 주소 값만으로 다중 읽기 쓰기 연산을 수행한다. M4RM 버퍼에서는 표준에 기술된 디코더 버퍼와 컴포지tus 버퍼를 프레임 단위로 분할하여 스트림의 접근 범위를 최소화한다. 이러한 프레임 버퍼는 객체 서술자 정보에 따라 할당된다. 또한 버퍼에 기술된 객체의 동기화 정보를 처리하며, 사용자 이벤트 처리를 위한 효율적인 버퍼관리 API를 제공한다. 실험 결과에 의해, M4RM 버퍼 모델이 연산 시 버퍼 프레임에 대기하는 시간을 단축시키고, 그 결과로 IM1-20 재생기 및 윈도우 미디어 재생기에 비해 소량의 메모리를 사용하여 실시간 MPEG-4 스트리밍이 가능함을 보여준다.
